Some interesting buffs for the upcoming banner
Kriemhild's passive 2 has been changed to hardy variant where she gets a Large damage buff if her HP is full, she also got a minor STR increase from 109 to 114%.
Skill 3 is also Fast now so you get a S Lightning Pierce AoE on round one, then she charges up and unloads a SS Lightning AoE on Round 3
Socho's skill 3 is now a dual attribute Blunt/Lightning SSSS, which I guess makes him the best T1 Blunt and Lightning nuker in the game unless Silver outdamages him on the Lightning part, but Silver is STR while Socho is DEX so there's not much override, also Skill 2 got a 1BP discount so it's now 6BP for a C power blunt/Heat AoE.
Mask is unchanged because he's already broken.
Kriemhild is even better with those buffs, she'll probably get to shine in the new stages of final island, Socho is interesting now that he covers two attributes, wish he had better skills though since his only use is to die and give everyone buffs for three round, still very niche.
Hopefully they fix Kujinshi in the RS2 banner by giving him Protect High Tension.
Honestly, if the RS2 banner is next I will probably skip Halloween altogether since the double menace of a GLEX banner and the concert banner might very well be what comes after that, RS2 styles are a big priority for me and I can't negotiate on those, especially since I need a strong Row nuker and both Kujinshi and Real Queen fill some niches I need.
As much as I want Jason Silver and Hell's Angel Death I don't need either of those even if they get buffed.

I'm really hoping Mask lives up to the hype on global with zero adjustments to his kit and stats. Just watched a video of him vs Egg and he seems pretty great, so hopefully I can finally clear club remembrance without ITOKEN.

Saw on Twitter we're getting some QoL updates soon like naming equipment (fricking finally), locking forged weapons and expanding how many weapons we can sell at once. Likely more deets in the stream tomorrow.
Mask was JPs first real big source of LPless healing. We have that in SBL. Technically. In actuality the only person even remotely close in functionality is Polka and Polka still will die where Mask will not given we're comparing a 70% mitigation style (81% with cover) to a 43% mitigation style. None of the other SBL users matter given they're on 4 turn loops and, at best, are even with mask while, at worse are perpetually 1 (increasing per loop) turn behind him and polka.
Without Great Adventure as an inherit he still stands in the same location, given bosses that primarily attack with single targets once a turn are a rarity and cover has always been more valuable on AOE or against multiple attacks. e.g; against a boss with multiple attacks a turn you have a 60% chance to cover at least once with a 44% to cover at least two. When combined with Great Adventures taunt and his high mitigation + per turn hp regen he brings overall party survivability in a way most other SBL users don't, sans polka.
As a result, overall party incoming damage dramatically decreases and gives mask himself a 3/4 turn OD rotation. 4 puts him down there with Mirsa/Leon/Gerard in all in regards to pure healing output. 3 puts him up there with Polka.
Simple example: You're fighting a boss with 3+ attacks (so basically every single romancing). Non Mask targets take around 400+ to 900 (depending on if the style has in built mitigation such as reduction, regen, etc) damage a hit with mask himself taking a mere ~140 ish and recovering 170 each turn. We've negated a potential 1200 damage just by existing and will go on to recover a SBLs amount of HP.
TL;DR
Masks entire suite of heals, extreme overall mitigation, and cover makes the style worthy of it's praise even in global. You can absolutely function without him (unlike JP at the same timeframe) with Polka, but you'd be insane to think Mirsa, Leon, or Gerard could substitute function.
Niiiice. Glad to see we're getting an awesome new FFL style. It's kinda funny that Mask is so much better than Dad in this game, but that's the price you pay for getting released earlier.

Nobody stops them from pulling a super tanky GLEX Mirsa or Gerard though, that's also something to consider, or some completely unexpected surprise like GLEX Cotton.
I'd still argue they won't cover the same niche for the simple reason that Mask with Great Adventure is ridiculously tanky and that SBL works on Delay, when sometimes you need that heal asap.
Masks is definitely high value and his banner being overall really nice only adds to his value, considering Halloween won't bring anything gamechanging and that the other banner will most probably be RS2: The Stage, this is one of those times you'd really want to spend your israeliteels, if there's no game changing GLEX right around the corner that is.

I do look forward to seeing what these new rainbow GLEX molds can be used to craft. But yeah I'd be real happy if they updated Mirsa or Leon or any of them. I tried taking Leon for a 150 proof of concept super heal comp but he dies too fricking quickly to do what Polka and (soon to be Mask) can do. Said proof of concept actually does work... in theory however. But mitigation is still needed from Baum or Fempress with inherit for the rest of the team alongside the compulsory WIL buffer. In the future we might be able to sneak some real cheeky bullshit with tank enough styles like Therese, Rag, Mask, RQ, and Kylin/Matriarch completely dependent on if gold feather charm + all status res + will buffs +RQ's int crush are enough to cover the necessary WIL requirements to not die miserably to status ailments. It should be doable, however because they made Kylin so over the top tanky as to be living in this job of his now.
Teams like this are something I've wanted for a real long time. Where the units themselves justify their own existence.

Pink Tiger got minor stat changes and A1 got buffed to also increase damage by 15% at full HP. Urpina and Azami got minor stat buffs

So apparently the glex rainbow weapon mats are series locked and gender locked and for guns and spears only, so you can only use them Kreim, Victoria and Mariah for spears and Liam only for guns.
I failed to pull Kreim and had to skip Victoria, plus I already have a good spear for Mariah and a max remembrance gun for Liam (plus a bunch of other great guns) so these things are looking completely useless.
Though if they keep doing this and include mats that let you easily make good forged weapons for the banner characters, that might be nice.

Kind of, Rag Robin is really good, it doesn't tank as well as Mask but if you have him you might skip Mask unless you're interested in Remembrance weapons, GL is probably going to keep making the game more and more detached from the JP meta.

Considering Suptix is coming in a couple of months, you might want to skip fishing for him in the current banner if you're trying to save for something down the line

In regards to overall teamwide mitigation, Mask has that beat hands down. The combination of being a unit that can actually take a bunch hits and a medium chance to cover means that as a whole the team lasts longer
That said, the necessity of Mask is greatly diminished given our environment has access to Fempress with her inherit soonish. Though to note, our meta hasn't changed all that much
Strategy wise we're not really different from JP, but unit wise? Pretty different given the heavy buffs and reworks to a lot of styles.
Speaking of, Kriemhild really didn't need even more damage, she makes Mat4 look like a joke with her 1-3 rotations, absolutely insane damage.
Remember to abuse the current jungle event if you need to grind people, they're giving out a shitload of 3X boosters so you can grind anyone.

Or maybe they're giving new ore returning players all the tools they need for our superboss in 1-4 months.
Either way, Liam meta is boring as hell so I'm thankful I'm not forced to engage in it. I wonder how JP feels about Liam meta (or if they're too preoccupied with their crit meta now)

Man, this glex event reminds me how my pierce sucks and makes me sad I didn't pull Kreim along the way while getting Mask and So-cho, because this stage is very custom designed for her. What are you guys using to farm? I'm running Magia Fight with Alloces in the front and Macha in the back and man is it slow compared to the lightning fast previous two events (Arthur solo and Arthur/Saruin duo clearing in 2 or 4 actions respectively).
I know she's not worth the 6 pulls to pity for one event, but damn.
If you've got a good spear you can still carry it with matriarch as long as you have somebody that can solo round 2 such as Robin Gal with a good fire/ice weapon or Doll with a 94+ weapon or remembrance gun
Then you can Mat R1 and R3, Doll/Jo R2, and some other B/A power AOEr who can catch R1 and R3 with Mat 4.
Probably gonna go with this one 'cause I have Doll but not Jo. Will experiment with Azami and Creator too, plus Matriarch's definitely gonna have a slot. Only 2 or 3 trainees instead of 3 or 4 sucks but it is what it is. Thanks lads.

This is probably the first time I'm actually using GLEX Azami for something
Kriemhild and So-Cho with Kami 3 as backup for round 2, got her along the way so I might as well use them.
Mat4 can be a pocket Kriemhild since she can use her Skill 3 for both Round 1 and 3, but she can't actually wipe those rounds on her own so she needs some sort of backup.
Kami 3 can potentially be better, if he gets his followups, if he does he'll wipe any round on his own but again, RNG.
GLEX Azami can also do Round 1-3 routines with her Skill 2 but much like Mat 4 she'll need backup, ideally you'd pair her with Mat 4 so they can tag team round 1 and 3.
Dora can wipe either Round 1 or Round 3 on her own since she's still that strong, but only one of those since she doesn't have the BP rotation to do both.
Alloces 2 can also work for Round 1-3 rotations I guess, if you pair him with either Mat4 or GLEX Azami so he goes after them for the finishing touch with his Skill 2 and gets BP back for Round 3, but you need somebody to clear Round 2 before he gets a turn.
Macha's also good but she'll never be able to deal with a round on her own, good for a tag team with Mat4/GLEX Azami though.
Round 2 needs a really strong nuker, ideally Kami 3 or Jo 3, I think GLEX Doll can also qualify for this and should be able to deal heavy damage to the Pyrohydra so she can be a pocket So-Cho, same with Madeline 2, Rouge 3 might also be able to fill in with Quark Collapse, same goes for Saruin's Obliterate, but you'll need to people to kill the Pyrohydra anyway, I'm not sure even Jo can do it on her own.

I was using Matriarch 4 using s3 on t1/t3, Subier using s2 t1/t2 and then plat madeline using delimune burst t2 and lone moon inherit t3. Takes some big weps for madeline to kill wave 3 tho. Those limited weps are nice since it seems like its easier to get a well rolled one for those specific chars. Gotta make a massive spear for Minerva and co.
Got mask on first 10 so I'm gonna have to skip socho and kriem which hurts cause i think they are both legit but my roster can handle missing them. gotta hold gems for the eventual halloween/xmas GLEX and hopefully snatch lucha urpina.

Kinda jank though, as combos frick me up and have Azami use S3 on the last wave preventing a one turn clear there and I just saw Mat+Azami fail to kill wave 1 for the first time due to it being a mix of snakes and wyverns instead of goblins or wyverns and those snakes are tankier (random Narwhal Surging Wave picked up the kill).
Since the halloween boosters last til November 24, I think I'm gonna wait to use them on an event that's easier to grind.

So let's talk about economics, World Tower should be 8K israeliteels total, right?
With the round 1 campaign from Halloween there's another 2K, to which we can add a second round of 2K for a total of 12K israeliteels, plus an additional 1K from Death's event, and the Spiral Reset should amount to 5800 or something,
So by the end of the month we should have19K israeliteels in terms of events alone, not counting login and dailies/weeklies/Final Island.
That's a decent israeliteel amount, if it weren't for november having the SaGa Concert banners, I really hope I won't have to pity anyone until december.
I still want to go for the wrestling styles, despite everyone (wisely) telling me to skip. There's just too much coming, we need conquest levels of israeliteels on the regular and very good luck to stay afloat at this point. Makes me wonder if closing the gap with JP's becoming a possibility if they can rush months' worth of banners in advance with only the most explicitly holiday-themed styles staying set in stone. It's definitely decent, yeah, but with my horrible luck, I'll need more than that.
What I'm curious about is if I'll get a second copy of the World Tower accessory. The notice says all first clear rewards will be given to those who cleared the stages last time, so that means free israeliteels for no effort, but I'm pretty sure the accessory was listed next to the israeliteels among floor 300's first clear rewards.

Challenges are pretty much never worth it and just for flexing, I kind of enjoy the puzzle challenges though since it's not about grinding and using the 1% meta styles, but they're very rare.
I'm honestly just content with looking at my favorite characters doing cool stuff, not sure how anybody who isn't a fan of the series would enjoy this game since it's 99% fanservice anyway, unless they're really into the aesthetics I guess.

Rewards are bottom heavy so there's no point doing the harder fights if you don't want to. That said builds for challenge content is way more consistent now than it was in WT. Kzinssie is still a shit show, however.

It's just Romancing SaGa 3 Death Master's bossfight but on steroids, Death Master sits on the back row (hope you got ranged attacks, homosexual) and harasses you with Dark Bolt/Snooze/Megasuction/Life Steal while respawning gargoyles and ghosts frick you up with their own shit.
The only thing that changes from the original fight is that ads respawn is now strictly wave based.
So you basically want really strong row/column nukers or AoE attackers in general, GL will have an easier time than JP due to how many units and skills have been buffed on top of GLEX, but it will still be fricking painful, especially if you don't have specific styles.
You can see him right here. Looks like the announcement came out October 3rd. Guess they're waiting til next month, you'd figure they'd just announce it on the 30th or something though. Then again, remembrance battles came out partway through the month instead of at the start, so who knows.
what's his gimmick
You know how Kzinssie has a part where you need to stun him or you basically die, and Real Queen has a part where you need to paralyze her or you basically die? With Death Master, he will summon multiple minions in a cross formation in front of him and you need to kill them all or you basically die. This is why we've started to see very powerful column and row attacks on recent styles like Gustave, they were all meant to help with this fight.
I'm pretty fricked because I had to skip all of the strong row/column attackers.
Summon 4 pests to protect his ass turn 2, then apply damage block extreme for 2 turns because frick you and then proceed to rape your ass with life steal and megasuction. So, you need linear or vertical nukes to even have a chance to clear it, because the homosexual can also apply damage block extreme to his pests as well. Also the pests can use life steal.
Yeah, the most fun simulator boss.
Forgot to mention the thing has like a billion HP, so the battle consists of turtling and praying you don't get LP killed

Decided to go back and give remembrance some more tries, starting with gun now that I have a way to paralyze. I was way too OP for this fight.
I think I'll try to do Sword next. I had only gotten up to Queen 15 because my only source of paralysis was Bert's S welfare style, but now that I've gotten platinum Kzinssie up to stat cap, maybe I can clutch out a win with his Shadow Chains.

Forging is hell, I hope there are rainbow mats on the Asellus NY's banner because I just burned all 75k of my ancient sword molds trying to get a decent sword for her. I got an 84% one, but it's single target only meaning I can't use any of her three good aoe skills, but oh well.

Rainbows are alright and are absolutely more tolerable but they're not (that) important in the grand scheme of things. Once you learn that you can just spam craft and sort by holy stone to filter out the 3SS or 2SS/1S it becomes significantly less painful

ya doomposting about this game is dumb its legit the most likely to not be shutdown cause the jp version prints yen and the upkeep for this is incredibly low. Okay, I've reconsidered and aggro rng in this game is far more frustrating than forging rng. Would've had it that time if it wasn't for everyone ignoring Asellus in the frontmost position in her counter stance and focusing down low hp Maddy and healer Leon with big single target nukes.
And there we go, Queen 20 down with swords and lil plat Kzinssie doing his thang in the back, ending the fight with all 1950 of his hp intact, paralyzing the Queen and helping with chip damage and staying at full to soak the occasional hit with Drain Life.

This game is mostly an advertisement platform for the series, especially outside of Japan, and it's pretty low maintenance, if they wanted to axe it they would have done so two years ago.
Killing off the GL servers especially wouldn't be wise considering how much feedback they get out of it and how they're really trying to create a community for the series, nowadays they also want to get people into other IPs a lot more than the past, when they wanted everyone in the FF basket and everything else outside of maybe KH could crash and burn, they're definitely pushing the series this time around and Re:U is their trojan horse.
Could very well still happen though since Square management has always been moronic, but it's unlikely, things like First Soldier were actual money sinks and FF really has no issues with drawing in people, FF gachas especially have a very high mortality rate to balance how they make a new one almost every year.

Take an actual break, anon. Now if you want my personal opinion. I don't care about remembrances. I did up to 10 in the weapons I could easily throw teams together without thinking and stopped. And it's not because I can't do them or that they're untenably hard. I have nearly every meta unit in this game.
It's almost entirely because the weapons aren't actually needed and I'll get them anyways with the minimal amount of effort.
Make no mistake, I don't like the remembrance system at all. So I don't do it, unless they have actual hardcore math wizards the weapons will never mater over 80% weapons for content.
It appears you are putting too much thought to the meta. Just play for the characters you like and stop worrying about the simulator. I've been doing that and have been clearing remembrance just fine in both regions. I don't even bother in grinding stats all day, or materials to get a 106% weapon and i'm already at my third remembrance weapon in jp and the second one in gl; and all of that by just playing casually using whatever styles i have and using crappy 30 or 40% weapons. Just take it easy and stop worrying. Why not focus instead in getting the remembrance weapon for whichever character is your favorite?
dont fall for meta trap like other anons said just clear whatever remembrance shit is easy like up to 10-15 and you will get weps over time. you can just forge 70%+ weps once we get the QoL to make selling faster and go at your own pace.
the weps from remembrance are legit but you just get them over time and absolutely dont need them. never fall for le meta shit in a gacha game especiallly.
And there's an easy win of Club 20 on the first try, Mask is amazing. Kzinssie's always been the easier one though, time to see if I can squash some bugs.

All that's left is Axe, Bow and Rapier, but I am completely fricked when it comes to those.
For Axe I have Ellen (summer, couldn't get her latest and best style), Strumniken, mage Aunus, Sif and I either use platinum Aisha with her stun spell inherited for Kzinssie or...Thorpe for more damage and zero source of paralyze for Real Queen.
For Bow, I have all of Claudia's styles except that old INT award one, Therese (failed to get her GLEX), Liz missing her two latest styles and the last two slots are filled out by freaking plat Roberto #2 and spiral Windie.
For Rapiers, I have all of Monika's styles except the old award one, GLEX Mikhail missing his other limited styles, Gay Clown Dad with all styles except his final mage one, spiral Jamil who I have zero limited styles for and plat Zenon #2 who I also have zero limited styles for.
As for the future, Sif's next style is the only other axe style I have on my "to pull" list and Monika's child style is the only bow with, with no rapiers as far as I can see on JP. I love axes but they have always been in a bad spot and I suffer from pulling for faves and having almost zero bow and rapier characters among my faves.
If anyone with JP insight has some advice for axes, bows and rapiers to clear remembrance with, I would really appreciate it.
what did you use to tank the queen's pin shot? i've tried the level 20 but the damage is just too much to handle; it usually hits for like 1200 to everyone.
I think she either didn't use it, or if she did it was only once and it did around 700 to 800 to my squishier units and since Mask heals around 800 to the party when he ODs, it was fine. I assume that move is pierce, so gear for that and grind out your stats and you should be fine.
I think i should start saving gems again since I have Liam now. I heard great stuff about Father, though is it a neccessity?

Bows...just fricking suck and you have to deal with it, if you don't have Claudia, GLEX Therese and Sarah don't even try, but I reckon Sparrow will potentially come soon-ish(?), hard to say with GL's erratic schedule.

Can't say I'm a big fan of how enemies scale in RS3, I think 2 did it better
I plan to have Katarina (main), Undine, Rukh, Boston and Minstrel in my party since I use them a lot in Re;Universe
I haven't played RS3 but it can't possibly be worse than RS2 scaling where the game just whoops your ass if you grind early but then can't keep up with mid game emperor power
Most people dislike RS3 BR mechanics, the team itself acknowledged they fricked up with that one which is why they didn't use that particular scaling by enemy family ever again.
In hindsight, that laid some sort of foundation for what would later become monster ecology in the PS2 games, which is actually a really cool mechanic.
BR in RS3 works on a type by type basis instead of being global, and since a lot of people thought RS2 BR was too fast it's also much slower than RS2 so you actually have to grind the BR if you ever want to see difficult enemies...but by the time you get there you're so powerful they're still weak, it's fricked up.

In defense of RS3, it was merely the second game with BR so they tried something new at the time to experiment with it, it didn't work quite as well as they thought.
RS2 had its own issues with how BR is actually extremely punishing in the early game but the moment you get Rapid Stream it becomes a non issue (notice how Rapid Stream didn't survive RS2 either), BR was never even meant to be some anti grinding measure, it was supposed to be something like a dynamic challenge rating system to make the game's difficulty feel more homogeneous regardless of player progression, so it was still kinda rough during those years, they threw a lot of stuff at the wall until the perfected the formula with the PS2 games.
For those years it was a very experimental system even with its flaws, very ahead of its time considering to this day ranking mechanics in RPGs are still basically nonexistent, everyone else sticked to simple level scaling, which is honestly much worse, see games like Wizardry 8.
Got Azami on the second pull, and Pink Tiger on the 7th pull. I don't think I can justify pitying Urpina when I've already won sword simulation and I don't have her UDx style to inherit her two best skills. Plus I think her next style is stronger anyway.
Emelia and Azami are two of my favourite girls, probably my fave for each of their weapon types, and now I have all their styles, so I'm pretty happy. Down to 36k but 2k from round 1 missions, 2k from round 2 missions and 5k from spiral reset equals 45k. Cap'n Silver's new style WILL be mine!

For seekers? Anything you want. For example, after having this many seekers I just burn through all the skills of my newly earned units. It's also easy to train lower power skills by just removing everybodies weapons and putting them in all range for a couple of full power auto sessions
The localization team is ancient. People don't use terms like that these days... Helps with the authenticity of the game, though

Just stick him in the back of Magia Fight, then anyone who does decent damage up front and boom, easy peasy two action wins with three trainees. Time to chug these Halloween boosters! Outside of Tatyana I wouldn't hope for meaningful buffs, Silver and Death are already pretty complete kits that can't get much more without reworking the character, ND is also a pretty well defined archetype.
At best they'll get better BP rotations and some sidegrades like maybe some Guard stacks for Silver, or maybe Death's Beast Grudge getting the Christmas Rei treatment where they give him one more hit, I don't really expect substantial changes, nor do I hope for any since I'm forced to skip that banner and I'm still mad

Disregarding the fact that this was designed as a bossing style in a pre Liam meta. This is a bossing style released AFTER a pre liam meta. Final Isle for her SSS equivalent turn 1 multihit Slash/Lightning nuke and Storm roar's eventual amp is the only place most players in NA will be using her. Her next (extremely good) style doesn't release until a year from now while this silver showed up on two very VERY good Bottomless banners.

Great for what he's designed to do... In theory. In reality, i'd be really surprised if his S3 doesn't get buffed given that aoe instakill was given to darkweb, single turn 2 aoe instakill is extremely niche, he has no place even as a shadow bosser. Will be great in Final Isle though.
Mind you I'm still pulling on this banner. But the odds of any of the styles besides silver seeing use for most players is stupidly low.

Super rerun banners. Have tons of styles released between a certain time frame. The one I'm thinking of literally just let's you redeem 3 styles that you want.
Not saying they don't deserve buffs, but I can't really see what they could ever do with them without reworking them from the ground up, and I don't see them doing that.
I can see them changing Tatyana in one way or another because she was just a generic AoE attacker with morale up, it's really easy to just add functions to her skills or give her better BP rotations to make her worthwhile but what could they ever do to people like Silver without making her actually broken, therefore jeopardizing the future of her next style?
Yeah, give her a defense stack to go along with Heat Up, that would already make her much better, maybe reduce the BP cost for her skill 3 if you so want but other than that what can you do with it?
What can you do with Death other than giving him more damage to his skills? Change skill 1 to be a permanent buff instead of just three rounds so it's not a dead slot, or just completely rework it because it's still kind of shitty.
Same with ND, you can't give her meaningful buffs outside of better BP rotations and maybe better defense, you'd have to completely rework her to make her worthwhile and that's 99% not going to happen.
ND absolutely needs literally anything or else she's a dead slot. We already know where she wasn't used because of her styles abysmal survivability and terrible BP loops. Wasn't used for bossing because no XS heals and (instant)Defy Weakness. Wasn't used for farming because no damage passives beyond Fired Up VI (which lmao)
Still extremely squishy and there are many, better DEX debuffers.
She didn't even get the privilege of being used in perma para strategies for literally every applicable piece of content released after her. And even lost her unique edge because V day Matriarch

The style from even the most pragmatic point of view is completely junk. If she had better loops to keep up with defy weakness, if she had a stronger defense shred, if her debuffs were stronger, if she was more durable.
Except for that last one everything would save this style from the eventual death and ultimate loss of her roll that she will receive when v-day mat comes along and steals both of her gimmicks in one style
Which is why her latest style is some weird ass (admittedly pretty alright if luck provided) RNG healer.
And I know their global team isn't dumb. They were able to salvage the Robin Family banner from something that everybody should skip to something with an extremely strong forever unit (Rag Robin) and an extremely strong sometimes unit (Robingirl). And once she gets her weapon, the highest damage dealing t1 character bar none (Gal)
Anyways I don't see this silver getting protect high because next silver has that and is clearly intended to be the more durable of the two. That's the annoying part.

Her style is already very focused on specific skill setups that allow her for continuous nuking, but even there you cannot do much without heavy changes, and we already know that both her next style and Kumi's debut will make her Skill 3 kinda shitty since Vandalize+ will be better outside of not having that Lightning attribute.
Same with Death, what could they possibly give him outside of more damage without fundamentally changing the style? Me, I have no idea, and honestly considering that november is extremely likely to feature the concert banners I'm not even sure I'd like the halloween banner to get more value.
We're all talking about how mediocre these styles are because we have the benefit of knowing what JP was back then, but applying JP logic and progression to GL is not reliable when its own landscape has been changed by time traveling banner, GLEX and various other changes, not to mention most people also already know what's going to come after this banner and I'm pretty sure the GL team is also aware of this.

I used Desert Lance EX and his row move would hit Cotton + 2 so I wanted to space them out. Magic Shower EX has weak attack boost LG in those slots for the wind chase and M.black.

You don't want to space things out, you want Cotton to soak as much damage as possible while everyone else does their thing, which is why Tiger Shark is ideal here since the row attack will only hit Cotton.
The weak attack bonus in Magic Shower EX is useless for non INT styles, forget about it.
Ideally you'll do this:

They're fairly interesting banners, though nothing gamebreaking, Halloween Kami looks pretty nuts and Halloween Apollo has potentially interesting uses with his skill 3, Halloween LDS/Arsenal and Human F don't look that hot though, and iirc Human M has the usual BP cycling issues and a kit that could be a lot better than what it actually is, but it's not a bad style, even if it's way too RNG reliant to hit peak performance, both have decent value but Kami and Apollo seem to be the stars of the show at a glance unless I missed something, other JP players should chime in on this since I just quickly looked at the stream, might take a closer look later on.
Oh yeah and SaGa 2 Esper Girl looked pretty decent as well, but heat casters aren't really scarce so she has some fierce competition.

Not really. The closest is the next silver after halloween and we won't see her for like 6-8 months from now. She get's two decently chunky chases and the buff that gives her chases gives her Heat up medium (15%) for 2 LP. For a total of 30% heat up and 2 chunky chases that also heal her for 200~ hp a piece.
But again that's awhile in the future. Global could drop something in there to challenge the Liam meta but I wouldn't expect it. I don't think they'll do anything to jeopardize any part of this meta we're shoved into.

Ehhhh it's mostly a minor sidegrade in that you get to avoid death one time and have a new revolver skill that can stack higher damage with each hit, you'll still want to get him because of Attack Chaser being possibly relevant to a new style, and with the right comp you'll pump out even more damage than current Liam.
Been looking at the JP banner schedule again with the latest banners out and I'm reminded of how fricked up global's schedule is. It's pretty obvious the Halloween banner is next but after that, if we remove all the banners we've already gotten it goes Christmas, New Year's, Chinese New Year's and Valentine's with nothing in between any of them. And of course, all of those are anchored to their respective holidays, which means by the time we get Christmas, we will have already had banners from months after the Christmas styles were released (hell, we already have a banner from one month after JP's Christmas) and this gap is just going to keep growing by the time we hit Valentine's considering there's almost a two month wait between Christmas and Valentine's. I sure hope the holiday banners all get a lot of love considering Valentine's is gonna be like 4-6 months behind in powercreep when it finally comes around.
Relatively it doesn't matter that much anymore. JP stats are high enough that they could suck in styles 5 months from now and release them tomorrow and we'd be fine without significant creep
It would have happened sooner or later, they said that they wanted GL to have parallel releases to JP and now we're closing the gap.
In fact I suspect certain JP banners like Seioh's were mad precisely so they could pair up current JP banners with them to further make GL catch up, and as the other anon said, at this point GL's power gap isn't really that wide anymore, they'll keep releasing GLEXes to accelerate the power scaling and introduce new JP archetypes earlier too, I wouldn't be surprised if we get the current JP halloween theme during this summer.

Not on Liam's level, chases are usually RNG stuff like Kami's archetype or specific followups locked being certain specific requirements, they're more like pursuits than chase.
As the other anon said, the recent Silver style can use Liam's chase mechanics, and technically Shuzer can also do a very similar setup to wind revolver Liam, but these are the only two styles that have Liam's specific chase mechanics, everyone else leans more on the pursuit archetype.
We're really lagging on these community goals for the thousands of israeliteels due to everyone brainlessly grinding the final stage, which is an easy trap to fall into due to how they've structured all the events leading up to this.
How many white and red masks do we still need?
We're a bit over halfway for white and a third for red, so 3 mil and 4 mil respectively. I've been grinding white since day 1 'cause it's the easiest to farm imo; you just need any decent aoe plus one nuke to clean up. Meanwhile we're over double the blue we needed, sitting at around 13 mil of 6 mil needed.
Oh well, there's still a lot of time left so I doubt there will be issues, but it really wasn't a good idea to structure the quest like this, 90% of people skip the quest details and hardly even look at the news.
I can park on blue for awhile but more people need to get it in gear and actually read the event

If I can ease your PTSD, Frontier's remaster somehow managed to avoid attracting obnoxious alphabet soup people despite Asellus being put in the spotlight, and the chances of Emerald Beyond attracting similar undesirables is also low since it seems Chinatsu was a one time deal for the series as Kuramochi definitely took over as the secondary artist, so we do not risk being instantly associated with the nu-FE crowd, for now.
I actually think Chinatsu understands the series' aesthetics way better than Kuramochi, but after 3H she looks like a massive monkey paw for as I don't want those people to get interested in it, reading through the SaGa Reddit already makes me nervous.
Ichikawa's been lax with JP's management as of late, but he's still doing a good job as a producer, he fricks up sometimes but he's clearly in touch with the community and knows the games' history through first hand experience, he has genuine respect for these games and the people who work on them.
He's kind of a memelord in fact since the idea of making the ice sword popsicle mold and ice cream campaign were his ideas, Kawazu also puts some good ones out.

Kozaki's style doesn't really fit for this series imo, same for Hidari, who was a great choice for Atelier, I much prefer Hidari's Atelier to Kishida's.
I'd definitely like to see Masaki Hirooka do some art for SaGa though, if the series will still be alive after Tomomi retires he's one of the few people that could fill in the spot, though again, so far I think Chinatsu is the one who can definitely play second fiddle to Tomomi, even if I dread the implications.

Kawazu doesn't like sequels so it's unlikely, even Crystal Bearers largely discarded the continuity from Crystal Chronicles outside of being set in the the same world and that's the only exception he made in terms of continuity in his whole career, this is probably more of a naming convention thing for the current era of SaGa games.
Frontier 1 and Frontier 2 are completely different games that share very little outside of the naming convention.

On one hand because he's incredibly hard to kill unlike any SBL user outside of Rag Robin, Mask with Great Adventure tanks like a beast, though GL Victoria is now just slightly worse than him, OD healing is also preferably to SBL in most scenarios because Mask can theoretically build OD really fast due to being a cover tank, though Rag Robin has pretty efficient BP cycling for his SB so he does have some competition in GL.
Mariah's a different niche since she needs to get hit for her free heal to proc, and that's also RNG instead of a guaranteed heal, Life Rain is a great panic button but you can only use it twice, Mask or SBL users don't have such an issue, Mariah also doesn't work with Mask and vice versa because Mask is a cover tank, and he will cover Mariah, preventing her passive heal to trigger.
Mask is also very desirable if you're interested in remembrance battles as he's the single best healer for maces outside of Itoken.

There's nothing to do so I decided to give Wastelands War another try. Before I could only make it to round 2 just barely, so making it to round 8 felt good, as did the extra 700 israeliteels. Mask didn't cover anyone at all during round 4 which really sucked due to the strong single target moves flying around. Everyone except Mask and Liam died on round 6 but they were able to two man round 7 which was pretty cool. I think I need another source of healing that doesn't cost LP besides Mask's overdrive. Maybe Christmas Fempress or CNY Macha will help if I can get them, though losing GLEX Fempress' scrum guard would really suck and I'm not sure who I'd take out for Macha. The reason round 6 went to shit was everyone but Liam and Matriarch got confused by an aoe on turn 2 despite buffing WIL with Mat and PWR's s3.
This might be doable with favourable RNG, but I'm not gonna waste my Sunday on it considering how long each attempt takes.

That banner will still be decent thanks to Hilda, but unless big changes happen neither Mat nor the Blob will be anything to write home about.

Eh, GL Mat will still be relevant thanks to changes to Paean of Protection, even if she doesn't stand at the top of the buffer pyramid anymore, besides a 3BP party heal with guard up isn't really bad either, granted Halloween Apollo and to an extent Halloween Esper Girl are pretty outstanding and finally put some serious competition in the support/party heal sector.
Still, GL is a different beast, no one knows what they will change or add in the future so predictions based on JP should always be taken with a grain of salt, especially with how wild GL can get with GLEX styles.
It's not that dire for her. Her S3 is still decently high value for content in which it applies. Pref Mat's S1 has ended up being mostly miss for the bulk of runs I see into content given things were outspeeding making it a glorified every turn XS heal. Which while nice, there are people who have higher raw output.
For Global in particular, If we want a heal forever bot global in particular is taking GLEX fempress with her LNY inherit.
That ability is going to need to last for two turns if it hits global to even come close competing and it still won't. But that's getting ahead of ourselves. It's not a bad pick all things considered. Even for people with mat 4.

She does have potentially interesting inheritance material though, but again, who knows whether this will be relevant for her in the future, her next style is a plat and it's not really gonna need any skill from GLEX Annie, Colourful Slash is really nice for the HP refill but the next Plat Annie already has plenty of HP upkeep through her passives.

Everyone I could feasibly find a use for is at stat cap (around 110 chars) and I still have over 100 halloween boosters, plus I've stat capped random shitters that might spook me with their future SS styles on banners up to at least six months in the future. No need to grind rainbow mats as I already made four of these fists that are 90%+ and only two people can use them. Already cleared all of World Tower last time and I'm as far as I can progress in Remembrance and Wasteland War.

Narwhal's Daughter got PHT, a better S1, and her s3 now gives +1 BP. Also first paid multi on that banner is 100 paid gems.
She's got good buffs, but the banner is still not worth it for most veterans, Tatyana and ND are the only styles that bring something valuable, the former mostly because maces are starved for styles and not because she's particularly good.
The reprint banner has higher value since there's Gerard and Rukh in there, and Wicked Witch which is still decent even if she has no future.
It's only a sign of the true horror that will come next month.

Anyways the shop/gem price updates ended up being great for people like me. And I hope they do this 10 for 100paid thing as a regular thing going into the future because that's great
ND now has some use rather than no use. She got protect high which brings durability to the style. An actual workable stat line so she doesn't explode to status ailments or stray hit, a 4 rotation (just like ND 1) for her defense down and the +1 BP.
Will she make it into core hard content groups? Probably not, but she's not too shabby now.

The only UDx rerun I ever pulled on was the Death/Mirsa one because Mirsa is my boy. I ended up getting Death 5 times and had to pity Mirsa.
Now I'm doing the Halloween banner and on the second pull, I get Death and Tatyana (I was ONLY going for Silver, Narwhal would be a bonus). Then two pulls later, I get two more Deaths. A few pulls later, Narwhal pops out, still no Silver. Death just popped out again on pull #8 with no explosions or anything, further mocking me.

The remaster won't change any of the music in the game, it will only add new tracks.
Besides the original soundtrack is already perfect, they blew most of the original budget on high quality studio recording, Itoken brought over his band folks and even that madman Sekito, it really couldn't get better than this.
I can see them pulling the same kinda deal for other seasonal events, wouldn't be surprised if the Christmas and NY banners will get the same offer.

Well, outside of Silver, now that I grinded them a bit I have first hand knowledge of this banner.
Tatyana hits quite a bit harder than JP, not bad, Gong Ringer+ hits really hard and she's now almost equal to Rukh when it comes to mace nuking, but overall better at AoE and with good RNG she's really nice for Remembrance fights, definitely took over Pref Ginny as secondary ST DPS, solid 7/10 style.
Death's Skill 3 is also considerably meatier, he's now a good T2 blunt/shadow farmer and can be efficiently paired with Nacht Zweiger for blunt farming maps or Final Isle, and can also double as situational cheerleader and INT blunt DPS for bosses with Beast Grudge, 7.5/10.
ND is overall far, far sturdier than before, but DEX debuffing is still a nearly dead niche, on the other hand since she's much more durable than her previous style she can take over as zombie healer and Wil buffer, shame about the BP rotation, but she's definitely not the deadweight she risked being, 6.5/10.
Looking forward to the next banner and if it's the RS2 one I'm hoping to god Kujinshi gets damage reduction in some way, because I don't see him getting High Protect Tension given his 11BP lineup would conflict with Golden Dragon inheritance.
If she's spamming festival her loops aren't terrible being effectively an every other turn 8-0-8 loop forever
Which before didn't matter because her piss poor wil and overall stat line means she exploded or was otherwise incapacitated in longer fights

My issue with ND is that both Festivals are just a glorified 1BP batter skill nowadays, if you debuff most bosses they simply wipe away the debuffs, and if you buff yourself they simply buff break you so all you get is a 1BP and some guard up.
It's not a bad style now, especially considering her inheritance options, but she's still kinda meh, I can't find many scenarios where I'd bring her over Mariah or some other support/healer, that said tomorrow I'll try to see if I can scum my way through Wasteland with her debuffs.

As for carnival, If she didn't get that +1 BP she would be a 9-0-0-9 style which is horrible. Debuffs every 3/4 turns is so out of fashion and gets cleaned right off. Debuffs every 2 turns? Less terrible. The defense down is a neat cherry on top given it'll be 30% every other turn after turn 3, the same as her defense up. Anyways, as per usual the application expands because of global changes:
Right now, this doesn't mean a whole lot. The burden on team Wil/occasional Int crush requirements is simply too high in addition to the mitigation you need elsewhere from XS heals, morale down, scrum etc. In the future however, when Fempress puts the entire team on her back and covers the mitigation requirements of two entire characters (sans polka/mask who are still required), ND use case becomes potentially more valid.
...Emphasis on the word potentially. She still has no room on the team. Global would never an every turn BP battery that puts next Vergil to shame for her to fit into Global Fempress team in two months.
Which itself is going to be something like, Fempress, Rag Robin, Mat, Liam +1 or something of the sort

Average well received JP Gacha lifetime is 5-8 years before EoS.
R:U is not just cheap to develop and maintain, but very successful, especially for Squenix' standards, so it's unlikely this game will die any time soon, if it keeps topping charts nearly five years later while 95% of their mobage struggle to reach 1M monthly revenue Squenix is not going to kill it, especially not when they're using it to make the SaGa brand grow both in the domestic and foreign market.
Considering the pattern from the previous SaGa mobage there will be another generation of OC character after Liam and then there will be EoS, and perhaps something like a R:U+ version of the game like they did with Imperial SaGa Eclipse.
Well, that, and the fact Re:Universe has no competition in Japan besides Heaven Burns Red (which has a different lure). Considering gacha about JRPG IP's has been on a decline or slowdown, the Japanese server might end up lasting years.

RK has issues with servers and shit all the time when i used to play to the point they removed coop. Likely just shut down because they only want X final fantasy gachas at the same time and frankly RK was just dogshit to play as someone who played for years.
RSRS is like the most chill shit because you just roll for chars you like once you have a decent roster. There is no epeen shit and no tacked on coop or whalebait or needing dupes and that's why it does so well. Like I pulled on this banner because I was missing a AOE death user and silver/ND make me coom. I don't really NEED a AOE death user but shit this game is all about roster depth and that was like my 1 weakness. also shit look at those legs lol how could I not roll

Seeing the styles/chars that get 3x stat gains for the latest Halloween event reminds me the only Silver style I don't have is the one whose art I like the most, Award Silver. And it's been like a year or more since the last shot at her plus Award styles don't get included in UDx bottomless banners for obvious reasons and Romancing bottomless banners are only for set time periods and we already had the one for those early styles. It's also the only style of hers that has a good single target cold move, the rest are low power or aoe. Suptix when?

Death kinda swings between Lawful Neutral and Lawful Evil in the game if we want to use D&D logic.
He's one of the three evil gods, but oversees the cycle of death and rebirth in Mardias and is overall very impartial, in fact he's angry about his brother Saruin creating the Soul Gutter because that thing straight up eats souls and messes up with the world's balance, there's also no hell equivalent in Mardias, only a peaceful afterlife and a purgatory, both of which just purify souls and shuffle them back in the world of the living.
On the other hand he does some shady business in the underworld, as long as you pay him in souls, and he somewhat closes an eye on the minions' meddling by resurrecting Darque, even though this point is still highly ambiguous because he does stick a part of Aldora's soul in Darque's body as a monkey paw.
It's funny because only Saruin is an actual evil god in Mardias, Death is chill and largely neutral while Sherah makes a 180° once Elore shows her all the suffering in Mardias.
Setting up the perfect strategy to auto-farm events feels really cozy somehow, that's what I enjoy about this game

They'd probably reuse some of Minstrel Song's universal mechanics like field skills and links, some maps would also be redesigned to accomodate that.
But if we look at MS and the DS remakes, they wouldn't be all that different from the originals when it comes to most details, mechanically wise they'd get some major reworks but without changing the core gameplay too much.

You need to paralyze her after she spawns the bugs, she has a scripted initiative round to eat the ads before any other action in the round including OD.
Also make sure to kill the ad with the countdown icon before he gets to turn 0, otherwise they'll cure the queen and let her loop her eating routine.

Ours will be better than JPs because Mystic Charisma was buffed in NA. This one gives him an 8BP fireworks which raises BP by one. And also raises BP by 1 when he overdrives

Her tankiest style, comes with a fast single target heal, and a S3 that inflicts morale down and provides guard up. Missed a lot in JP but she was used anyways. Buffs who she heals (30% atk and 20% defense)
Really good style if they buff her agi/int into something useable.
Haniwa was a fun welfare and Steslos was a weird bad unit you should avoid.

IIRC he has galactic rift and enough BP to use it turn 1 so he should be our highest turn 1 sun damage dealer for awhile. Not fast though so... you know. Other than that it was a protect high style which ramped his STR every turn. Not exactly high priority

Upon reading that it makes it sound like this isn't a good function. It's an amazing function. That skill is nuts. Mask gets way better just by having it anywhere near him as does many OD activated abilities

I'm still chasing the unit specifically because of that function. It's just that there will be better units holding it and likely releasing sooner than we realize.

Wagnas is notable for his Skill 3 having built in healing on top of being a heat+pierce multihit nuke, he's still a good hybrid with a decently versatile skillset and good durability.
I wouldn't sell Femperor short, Galaxy was buffed to SSS damage in Global and speed is a non issue with the right formation, Gerard can hit for 200K against the current Death 20 with the right setup, Femperor will be comparable but with unconditional T1 access to that, SSS AoE are exceedingly rare, even more so T1 SSS AoE.
Lute didn't see much use mostly because everyone and their mother already got Rich and/or Dune, but Lute is basically Rich+ in that he hits a bit harder than Rich and potentially harder than Dune too if his chase triggers.
Needless to say he still doesn't have the versatility of either Rich or Dune, and this is his last style to date too, so whether it's worth investing into him if you aren't a fan it's dubious, especially if you already have Rich or Dune, he doesn't bring anything new, though I guess he can be a ghetto Barbara with his skill 2.
Stethlos gets a better non event themed style later, you can ignore this one unless you really want the skin

Minor DEX and INT buffs, now his skill 1 is a souped up Mastery type that buffs his DEX+INT (small) at the beginning of the turn, on top of giving him back 5BP whenever he kills something
Decent banner outside of Aries, Sparrow adds value to any bow box since it's still Sarah/Claudia central, Sekishusai can now Roufas quite a bit harder if ability 1 works with his evade counterstance.
Even if you want to diss Femperor for working on a 40% multiplier his skill 1 and 2 make for good inheritance material.
Right now there's hardly anything in the game that Gerard can't erase with Galaxy, Femperor will be the same, putting them in the same comp grants Femps another 10% too given Gerard's Imperial Assault, they're the best and most stable AoE light farmers in the game, excellendt for final isle too.
Besides, they just gave Sekishusai an OD building passive, so I wouldn't be too surprised if Femperor gets the same.
And Kujinshi is less niche than you believe, his only real weakness now is caster enemies and people who can stun directly, he can carry you through many bosses now, including himself (kek) and Real Queen remembrance.
His potentially great BP rotation and damage, constant healing and WIL debuffing makes him very versatile, shame about the low END+WIL but that's Kujinshi for you.

What do I need for a farming team?
Multiple farming teams for starters.
Then you need enough equipment to outfit all of them, there's no general farming team, you need to cook something up depending on what you need to farm.
Which is why we determine a farmer's worth depending on which niche they fill, depending on attributes, single target or AoE farming, their rotations etc., there's no general answer other than pointing out at styles that are largely considered the best in certain fields. e.g. Prefecture Rich is considered one of the top T1 farmers for Slash/Heat stages, Coppelia is THE T2 blunt farmer etc., but if we're talking about boss stages then we're using completely different people, like Roufas, So-Cho, GLEX Azami etc.

GL Kujinshi is pretty ridiculous with the new BP cycling and damage reduction, though the latter could be a bit better, makes a lot of fights a joke and he's even tougher to kill than GLEX Therese, which is really something since she can solo Spiral 150.

what exactly is Kzinnise? some worm?
Outside of Noel the heroes' appearance is based on the type of monsters they absorbed, Kujinshi's has the lower half of a worm but the upper half is that of a goblin, Dantarg absorbed lots of high tier beast type enemies, Subier absorbed lots of aquans, Bokuohn's a plant type, Roc absorbed ghost types while Wagnas absorbed Apsaras/fairie types, which is also why he has a female appearance.
Noel allegedly absorbed lots of dragons but his resolve was so strong he managed to keep his original human appearance mostly unchanged.
Assimilation magic lets people absorb both bodies and essences of their victims, that means the monsters the heroes absorbed never truly died either, which resulted into their inhuman forms and abilities, the stage plays actually explains this a fair bit together with the origins of Oaive's inheritance magic, if you have some three hours to spare some kind soul uploaded the stage play with english subs on youtube.
why isn't there a romhack that's based on SaGa The Stage?
Mostly because the stage play events can be recreated in the game, I guess, and RS3 is the game with the big romhack community.
Half of it is a prequel about the Seven Heroes while the other half is a continuity that can be recreated just by playing through the game in a particular way, though admittedly most people wouldn't bring Gerard all the way to Salamat just to get him killed by Roc, and those parts about Oaive and Sagzaar is also kinda headcanon-y since neither die in the game.
The events of that continuity are also mentioned in Re:UniverSe, Gerard dying to Rocbouquet is mentioned during Coppelia's tower questline and other things like ND's death are sprinkled throughout various events.

It's the combination of the new damage reduction, Fatal Steal being SSS with medium health heal and the +1 BP on hit stacking with the +2B passive.
Even if he's not hitting weaknesses he does good damage when he ends up doing something like three fatal steals per round, every fatal steal gives him back four digits of health so he can shrug off a lot of shit even with his mediocre END, he has a very strong niche now whereas he was merely okay back in JP due to the lack of damage reduction and worse BP cycling.

SHe's good at it yeah. But she's also extremely good at not dying which is where I'm using her. She alleviates the WIL requirements for the team to avoid debuffs and hits freakishly hard.
Jaw Breaker and Mirage Kick are decent but she's more of a sustain DPS with a jammer flavour than a true debuffer, Defense Liquid coupled with HPT, her continuous self heal and high WIL makes her extremely resilient, even more so if you give her a maxed out Thunder Wind, her BP upkeep is good enough to make Breaker Jaw and Scales Buster work as DPS, she can also use Offense Liquid from her welfare S style as an option to pump a little more damage.
Kujinshi's a similar deal too, he can tank enemy WIL on long fights and also instakill or paralyze mooks, but his jammer utilities are not his real use, his real use is being a RNG based counter DPS on boss fights with a lot of direct attacks, like this:

Kinda like Sekishusai isn't actually built around his SSSS nuke, but rather his second skill, Disarm, coupled with OD, since it will lead to stacking Disarm with Jolting Slash+ chase for massive damage on counters.

Undine is back to full support duty, it's an interesting style if you consider her previous styles adding different options, that Element Heal passive sounds interesting since she has a free self heal now.
At a glance she's not particularly interesting compared to other current support styles though.
Muse is also support, her skill 3 looks pretty interesting, seems they really want to expand on the limited use skill archetype
And finally everyone's big sister is back, to remind people Axe is her turf.
She's a sustain Slash DPS, her skill 3, Satan Blade looks like the core of this style together with that new Axe Heal skill.
Everybody's getting pocket self heals, not sure how I feel about this.

Holy frick, I did not expect to hit a speed bump just five easy battles in. Soulsteal spam means I need to kill him incredibly fast, but going full unga bunga instead of my usual turtle comp means I can't resist his stun/paralysis/confusion lockdowns that grind my dps to a halt.
I destroyed him in three rounds with Ventus, Stage Dantarg and Sirius Sym...ehm, Victoria, with So-Cho giving everyone a nice good buff.

Got her done with the Macha stun squad supported by Rouge Dark Ball WIL debuffing and Orlouge+Narwhal's Daughter for massive t1 automatic WIL debuffs, Liam to speed up the tedium of beating up a stunlocked bag of hp.
Usual Liam team killed Bokohn, I didn't even notice any buffs to dispel with Rising Nova.
Hope you got at least Darque 2 or M.Black 2 since their human crits will help immensely with the human form boss fights in terms of DPS.

It doesn't fricking matter. my 108k CP groups can't get past challenge 2 because she still confuses and paralyzes everybody just as easily and then drops a 3k AoE.
Just AGI cheese her bro, you should be able to do Romancing Evelyn with your eyes closed by now if you have Mama and ND, Nusakan alone completely shuts her down the moment he procs two party buffs

UDX Wil is a big skip imo unless they pull a Blue/Rouge and make Cody and Narcisse limited, they're all good styles but Cody and Narcisse will go into the plat pool unless they change something, as solid as Wil is as a mace style he doesn't warrant a pull right now.
Diana's banner was honestly godawful, but that only means big buffs and changes are more likely so I'll put it on hold, as it was in JP the only useful style in there was Julia, and mostly because bows suck, even then you'll probably forget about her entirely once summer Labelle drops, GL will probably be different though.
Misty's banner is pretty nice since Misty's a real good INT DPS style if you can build around her, Johan's also good but kinda superfluous in the grand scheme of things for AGI attackers, and the next Gustave's actually a pretty good party defender for caster bosses, the star of the show will be Welfare Rich though.

That's a big gamechanger for this Wil since it was designed as a pure physical style.
He's not gonna be better than Liam for DPS but with this change he gets a hell of a lot more versatile when you consider the inherits from his Pref style, and Principal Wil will give him Cure Fire in the future, which will make him even tankier.
I'm very tempted to pull for him, if it weren't for the fact that every single 1st gen Knights family character avoided me like the fricking plague, so yeah, skipping m.y man Wil, at least I can rely on good ol' Tyler salvaging my Axe box a little bit
I think it helps in that you can do fire dps loops but doesn't matter too much as his s2 loops should still lead to way higher overall damage
It's a D+D so it should be something like an A+ in the end, it's probably the best thing this Wil has in terms of DPS when we consider Heat Up stacks and the continuous STR buffing.
That said the Pref style can give him some side jammer duty when it comes to DEX debuffs, Fireball+ will also help a bit if you need AoE

Kujinshi also melts him but he's a bit less reliable and takes more time.
Summer Liza will also melt him but she's far away.
Counter strats are super effective since he has four or five turns per round and 90% of the things he does are Direct ST attacks, I guess you can use a GLEX Cotton strat against him too if you have decent support like Mariah, pretty sure Robin Polka also melts him easily, and Plat Human M can be a decent counter baiter too.

There's really not many bow users at all so things will keep being grim until the next Claudia and Labelle styles drop, unless there's some GLEX before those, ah yes there's also Children's Day Monica who's a good support style, you'll use her instead of Roberto when it comes to that.
Bows and Axes are still the worst weapon categories so don't try to force things until this summer when they'll get fixed a bit, everyone else is currently either really well off or can manage Death Master 20 if you have some critical styles.

The three vids I could find online of floor 150 clears all used Wicked Witch, who I still don't have because she was the only one I was missing on the recent rerun; not gonna step into that landmine of dupes.
Luckily, best (mage) boy Rouge did the trick! Narwhal's new style was REALLY good here, setting up big double WIL debuffs on turn 1 and once Rouge had landed the initial paraylze, she maintained it with her 0BP jellyfish spell, freeing up Rouge to spam Darkness Bolt to further nuke Kzinssie's WIL.
Speaking of that, hot damn Rouge was doing a shitton of damage in this fight with that S2 of his. It's only B damage and not even hitting weakness!
I nuked my way through Kujinshi with big momma damage, GLEX Therese, Victoria, Dantarg and Darque 2 completely melted his ass.
You can also AGI scum him and most of the boss floors if you can't tank WIL.
I don't have that pierce damage (only have mama out of those 5), but it's great to hear AGI buffing will work again. Might go back to my old Rapid Stream squad if another boss gets in my way too much, thanks.

Sekishusai builds OD like crazy and his gimmick is all about stacking disarm DPS in OD, so if you get something like a 100%+ weapon no, not really.
WIL nuke him and paralyze him, there's not a lot of strategies to deal with Noel, even AGI scumming doesn't work on him.
Alternatively, you can try your luck with GLEX Cotton.
Turns out all it took was slotting in Asellus. She's a very good girl, I hope I can get her New Year's style in January.

All the seven in this tower are built around WIL nuking and shutting them down with a certain stat, be it paralyze, confusion, poison or whatever.
Iirc Wagnas is the only exception but Wagnas is a chump that can be fully debuffed/AGI scummed, alternatively you can slot in Stage Kuijnshi and let Wagnas kill himself over his Fatal Steal counters

which style? all dual-element styles have weapons with their elements available on the equipment medal shop.by now, you should have enough medals to get all those weapons. unless you're talking about koumei. but since he never gets access to light magic, he doesn't need any other staff than a fire one.

Dual attribute=/=dual element, Rouge is Dark only regardless of what elemental attributes you see in his spells, Rouge works just fine with a Dark wand.
To be perfectly clear, so far these are the only actual dual attribute casters in the game:

She's probably the best INT based slash/pierce attacker all things considered, and if you can stay alive until round 10 she'll get a lot of bonuses, but she's kinda clunky and more recent JP styles kinda fill that long term archetype better than her, she's gonna be useful in series locked fights though, and she has a e-girl skin from her S style too which is the single most important thing here.
Gustave's somewhat been powercrept by Tsubaki when it comes to anti mage defenders, but he's still a good style with lots of inheritance options if you have his previous styles, Johann's solid but nothing to write home about, both will be good choices for the aforementioned series locked hard content.
It's a good banner but nothing special for veterans as usual, the real skip will be Eleanor's banner.
My pierce is eternally shite and those series locked fights can get really rough (did all the robin family ones but it was hard as balls), so it's nice to hear she's more than a pretty face. I only have plat Gus styles sadly, he always comes when I'm saving for someone else and on a banner with others I don't particularly care for. I'll sit on the fence a while, and see the buffs before I decide.

Rag is better than both combined.
With some extremely basic napkin math:
Rag is ~850-900 HP per 3 turns or 300ish a turn. Macha is xs * 2 per 3 and a 25% chance for an xs which comes down to about 160-170 a turn when applying averages.
Minstrel is an xs per 3 and a 25% chance per turn. Which comes around to a 100-110ish average per turn
In other words, around 270ish versus Rag's 300ish.
The minstrel + macha combo package JP used (and for some clears of egg just macha alone) ain't necessary for us and minstrels +1 overall to Macha's loops are the only thing that provides that combo any room to outheal Rag over a longer fight (and not by much). If macha didn't have the ability to crush int she'd be second fiddle to Rag + 1 other combo in every way conceivable.
People should be talking more about what they just did to Gustave because this unit is unironically insane now that it can 100% guarantee all the time forever that his S3 WILL apply before spells hit on top of having fricking scrum now lmao. And his loops if you inherit healing blade from the last style just shoves HP into him forever.
In the running for top 5 NA (but only against bosses that use and abuse magic) after a year of mostly """okay""" styles that aren't okay at all. Seems like they're finally taking Fempress seriously.

Uh, so they gave Gustave the Tsubaki treatment with Scrum Guard, good call, he needs it to stay relevant in that kind of niche when Fempress already has that and will get a party heal on top her two rounds of full invincibility, his prefecture style is rather meh so at least this one will get a good place in the sun for a while.
Shame about the rest being pretty much unchanged, but I guess Misty's already good and Diana and Eleanor are just unsalvageable.

Actually wait a second, Gustave's Defensive Stance is a Large version, so he's straight up better than Tsubaki on his own since he can keep that up indefinitely.
But since both have Scrum Guard and that stacks, putting them together we're talking about something like 50-60% constant magic damage reduction without factoring in other things like HPT, that's...quite something for a lot of boss fights like the Egg, that should alleviate the need for party healers by quite a bit.
Guess I'll pull on that banner even if Gustave ignored me every single time, it's either him or Misty and both are good anyway.
It's 48% mitigation against magic damage he provides while also being a pretty damn tanky style (though fempress with watermelon cut is still more survivable)
From the perspective of raw math, his S3 being fast now letting it preempts boss attacks regardless of formation (which dramatically improves overall uptime as before you were really only getting a single turn of mitigation if the boss consistently outspeeds you) pushes the style over the top.
It's very good. It's very VERY good. Oh and Johann is also pretty good now. Ignoring scorpion venom as global can deal with that he's got several different flavors of loops for both short and long boss fights and gets to cash out with 5 Rising Sun's on a better rotation. With his improved stat line against the typical blunt weak enemy he should be firing out ~180-200kish Rising Sun's
and you can either fall back into submission spamming in the agi slot or using shadowless strike (provided the boss is slash weak) to help mitigate incoming damage by stacking stealth.
He starts the fight at 60% and quickly races towards 120%.
Same issues as usual however. Liam is tankier and will do more damage over a longer fight with the 5 LP they're both spending.

This byunei is kinda interesting because she bring damage blocking in the mix, the reason why she gets that ridiculous BP rotation is precisely because she needs to use her Skill 3 as often as possible for that damage block, and that's a hefty 12BP cost, that and she needs to stack Heat Up to get fully online, typical modern meta of long term turtling battles.

That would be Ellen, she's the defacto most popular RS3 character together with Katarina, they've been dominating popularity polls since decades and nothing really changed, at least step up your trolling game if you insist on shitposting in here daily.
Dora lets her Kamikaze gimmick from her previous style go and focuses on more practical high speed row farming with her +4BP if no damage passive, this is good since her old style is ancient by now, this new style will be fully self sufficient so whether you have Dora 1 or not doesn't really change anything, they're different packages in functions but both cover heat+lightning which is a pretty good combo considering how common those weaknesses are.
Lil' Gwayne is similar to his mommy in the sense that his previous styles don't really add much in terms of inheritance.
He's the complete opposite in terms of function, he's falls in the Weakness hunting boss DPS archetype, as he gets BP and health for hitting weaknesses.
He also takes a leaf from school Selma's book, so he gets up to five Heat Up stacks for hitting weaknesses and up to five Defense Up stacks for being hit by attacks that qualify as Resist.
uhhh actually wait a second, Gwayne 2 has Feral Pounce which is actually a decent inheritance option for this new Gwayne since it lets him cover Slash and has a decent synergy with Scale Attack.
That style was so ancient I almost completely forgot about it, good thing I double checked.
