Oof, my girl Emmie always makes me pay. She came on the 14th pull but I got the other three along the way. Alkaiser on the 5th pull, ZEKE and Mei-ling came together on the 6th. She REALLY made me pay. Only have a measly 11k israeliteels now, so I'll depend on the conquest israeliteels to get me back up to 45k for ITOKEN.
Looks like this welfare Alkaiser adds nothing except Ki Meditation which I don't see myself using on him. Al-Phoenix can be amp'd to go from 10 to 8 BP, S to SS damage and gain the Fast tag. Am I right to assume it's not worth it 'cause he always wants to be using Punishing Fist anyway?
If you have Punishing Combo there's no point in having Al-Phoenix+, unless you need a sun nuke in an AGI spot of course, Ki Meditation is a decent skill though, might come in handy in the future.

I got Emelia and Alkaiser because they have a previous GLEX style. I'm waiting until the end of this month and then pulling on SF2 for the entire thing because I like all of those characters.
Hope they release a bundle with ITOKEN because otherwise that style isn't coming into my hands. And I still have that sense of deja vu that they've got more shit in the works to induce a nightmare.

Yeah, Prefecture collabs are so soulful. I love that they bothered to make the event stamina pots onsen milk instead of just changing the color of the liquid in the vial like normal. Makes me wanna rewatch Zombieland Saga, which I still think would be the best collab if this game ever had collab characters.

Not really, unless heavy buffs happen the more notable characters from the next twin banners are Ruby, Iskandar, Nacht Zweiger and maybe Skya, none of them are must pull unless you're missing out on one of the niches these styles offer.
Ruby's an excellent INT Heat ST Nuker, one of the very best in her field, Iskandar's Hector but better in every possible way, Nacht is the best AoE Blunt farming machine while Skya's one of the best BP batteries in the game and really nice for bow sims as a result.
People make a big deal out of Itoken but he's not important either, he's a good buffer and has a really nice 5BP party heal, but only really needed for mace sims, he does ZERO damage and his party buffs aren't as comprehensive as Matriarch, and unless GL changes that his banner is also pretty garbage outside of him so it's a tough fishing session to swallow.
Nta, but I think I'm gonna try to skip until the SaGa fest, the most important set of banners in the game for me. Maybe I can grow my 11k to 90k by then.
I believe the conquest notice mentioned an SS club and SS fist as rewards. Maybe the club is earth for Ginny? Could see it being fire for Wil too. Fire/earth like Macha's staff would be extremely based, but I doubt we're that lucky.

The entirety of SaGa 1/2/3, the FFL trilogy are the only SaGa games I've beaten to completion and some of my favourite GB games. Last summer I somehow got the luckiest I've ever been and got everyone across the four (I think it was four) banners with only having to go to pity once. My goal in this game is to get all the styles from those three games.
Gonna be buying one of the biggest israeliteel packs to help, debating on whether I should buy the one on sale during anniversary now or wait and see if there's a sale during SaGa Fest.
Good luck getting Red! My goal would be a lot easier to save for if this game didn't make me love a lot more SaGa characters like him.

What niches does that banner cover? Only weapon groups I need to shore up a bit are bow and s.sword, only element that needs improvement is pierce and for debuffers, I could use a second DEX or WIL one but aren't in too much of a hurry to get one.
I wanted to pull for ITOKEN solely because I love his music, but I definitely don't need his style so that might be a skip too.

Basically NY Golden Lion but with max provoke for 4 rounds and an AoE deflect pierce counter and a shitload of counter damage multipliers, very niche but easily the best at her job, can out DPS Fish Forneus with ease, her only issue is that her deflect skill is a stance, so it doesn't go off on AUTO.
>Ventus
25% coin flip spear DPS, can chase with a SSSS tier pierce nuke by using any skills other than his skill 3, highly unstable, has the same odd/even turn self buffs as Ruby at least
>Selma
ST rapier pierce nuker, her original kit is a mess though so I expect some reworks.
Her strategy is to spam her skill 2 nuke for constant DEX buffing on long fights, but has two dead passives that prevent her from being good.

Dora style turn 1 bunt farmer, probably the best thing in this banner, hits really hard on T1 and maybe T3 for blunt, has recoil, does nothing other than this however, pure farm style.

Bow user with a really nice 5BP skill that self heals AND gives 1BP to everyone, also has Meiling's Vivify for a 25% change of getting those 5BP back in a turn, also has a 35% deflect passive iirc
thanks for the qrd and damn, they both sound tempting in the sense that I could definitely skip but if I got them I'd see some nice improvements, especially to my weaker elements and weapons. But yeah, nothing mandatory so I guess I can relax a little.
Honestly none of these styles are particularly important.
Ruby's real good, but if you got Clown dad stacked with his key styles you don't really need her right now, later on you can also invest in Onyx if you want a more russian roulette style of INT heat DPS, she's not as consistent as Ruby but is still one of the more competent people in the niche.
Iskandar is pretty nice but honestly doesn't see a lot of use because other people are better at cycling damage even if they can't soak as much damage as he does.
Laura doesn't see a lot of use either outside of her niche, in which she's admittedly god tier, but it's not like you need her to deal with certain tower stages, there's other people who can cover that niche, not as well as her but also not that worse than she is.
Ventus is just too unreliable to be considered good, it's only worth it when we're considering Matriarch strats for buff stacking and even there you'd had better people for the job.
Selma's plain mediocre to bad unless big buffs happen.
Nebelstern just exists.
Nacht is really nice but again, you can live without if you have other people like Coppelia or Alkaiser, they're not as efficient but fill the niche just fine.
Skya is tempting and fairly unique at what she does but again, a niche support choice.

Holy moly that fight against Macha on Floor 190. GLEX Asellus wasn't enough, I had to bring in Zozma too for double Mirage Step spam. Seemed like her minions were the worst part, I could breathe easy after they went down. If I have to fight her again on Floor 200, I'll be pushed to my limits.

Fug, I just remembered that Nacht is a mecha, and I always pull for mecha. Probably gonna have to be the first one that I skip, hopefully it gets a rerun before Super Mecha Festival hits global.

Doesn't matter much since Rensei is coming soon to GL anyway, it's a minor annoyance.
And yeah, if you don't need anybody to cover something from the nest twin banner it would be wise to save up, the classic SaGa banners are also not too far away from now and Megami is a pretty good investment even without considering possible buffs or change.
I'm personally gonna skip Itoken's banner since I'm at 51K and will probably go broke soon, I'd like to save for some of the later banners as I've got Kami, Megami and LDS on my sights as personal favorites.

GLEX Undine can spam her DEX debuff every turn to keep the boss in check, the problem is the two adds. I can't aoe DEX debuff so I'm sort of stuck. Desert Lance EX with Mariah/Mat/Undine/PWR/Schirach (Incense) got me halfway through, but it inevitably falls apart from rng.
A pixel away from killing Romancing Ludwig, I know I can do this with enough resets. Has anyone beaten the 2 special Ludwig fights where you need to use characters from certain series? This fight is hard enough as it is, I can't imagine not being able to use Asellus and Barbara on the same team.
Yes, beat Romancing and beat the RS1/RS2/RS3 stage! Didn't expect it to be easier than the one that let me bring Asellus, but the three latest GLEXs worked out great. Really happy I could use my girl Ellen too.
Back to the drawing board with this last SF1/SF2/SSG/SaGaRS stage. Asellus is a lock and Madeline too for damage, but I don't know who else to use. Probably Elysed too.
And boom, there we go. White Rose mostly doled out heals (primarily to Maddy but one to Elysed to revive her). Elysed spammed her s2 whenever she had 6 BP, Lighting+ for filler. Maddy spammed Luna Fulgar. I still don't have UDx Urpina (one of my top 3 regrets) so the best single target move I had for her was Doppelgangers+ which was all she used.
Asellus started with a 0 BP kick so she could use her s3 on turn 2 (it's necessary for her to fish 1 counter on that turn to phase change). Then she used Rising Nova+ whenever she was able. OD ftw.

What should I do with Emelia's skills? I have all her styles. I'm looking at the inherit suggestions on the reddit review and he's talking about amping Trick Shot and Random Shot as well as mentioning Total Shot and Bullet Dance. I figured I'd just inherit Bullet Dance vs single target and Bolt Thrower for aoe.
Random Shot would make for slightly more efficient AoE cycling I guess.
Bullet Dance is the obvious choice because it leads to pretty great ST DPS on this Emilia.
Wouldn't use Bolt Thrower on this Emilia at all if ask me, I'd just stick to GLEX Emilia because she has superior damage passives, coin flips for two bolt throwers in a row are simply better too, if she gets the coin flip the AoE damage is Saruin/Gerard tier which means Emilia just handles anything on the screen on her own, which is big, Pref Emilia just can't do that.
Thanks, so I'll use her latest style with Bullet Dance on single target fights and stick with good ol' GLEX for aoe.

Frick off everyone who said that Bertrand is a meme style, this guy is so useful in both AoE and ST conquest farming
they didn't say he was a meme style. They said he has no future. And he doesn't.
But they failed to mention the fact that he's by far the best farming style in the game with nobody else coming even remotely close.
Eh, he's good but not really the best farming character in the game at all, especially since you need two of his styles to actually make him work at all in the first place.
Like everything in the game he's worthless if he can't hit weaknesses and also kill something to get the BP refund necessary for him to spam Frost Quake over and over, he's strong and with a virtually flawless rotation if you got both of his styles, but the actual content where you can use Bert to his fullest just isn't there in terms of frequency.
Compared to characters who only need one style to have similar performance (Saruin, GLEX Emilia, GLEX Azami) and also have a future, it's understandable why Bert gets a bad rap, even in this conquest's context, Saruin with Destructive Blow is just as efficient and can carry four trainees on his shoulders.

For two waves sure. Bert covers 3 waves and has more elemental coverage. Nobody else can do 3 waves solo like he can in 3 actions.
Needing additional styles, while indeed a demerit, is hardly big enough to take away what he has. Which is his status as an extremely efficient farmer.
I don't know, Frost Quake is cold/shadow, hardly more elemental coverage than people like Saruin since both are double attribute farming, not to mention Frost Quake is a B power spell (effectively an A with his passives but still) while more and more people are starting to rock A power wipes with comparable power passives.
Bert's thing is, if you do get the content where he can enforce his 3 round rotation with Frost Quake and effectively do a one man show he's great, but said content is far too rare for him to really shine, the vast majority of the time you'll be doing two men carries for three stages.
Don't get me wrong, he's one of the more efficient farmers in the game even without his best case scenario, just not what I'd call the best, and severely hampered in terms of worth due to the aforementioned issues, one of which is a literal death sentence.
It's a tech, so if Meiling gets stuck casting Heat Wave+ over and over she won't roll the dice for tech learning as she's automatically put in a casting state.

frost quake is cold shadow, abbadon (yeah I know but it's there) is fire shadow. He's got three elements. Abaddon (yeah I know) is 2 turns only.
The main point is his loops, he's extremely effective at them and there are multiple characters that can assist regardless of type.

That's never been a point of contention. He's the only one who has enough juice in his tank to be a major contributor for all 3 waves.
Nobody else does that, they all simmer out by wave 3 or have to skip wave 2.
This is the entire reason he's been 3/4 traineeing everything.
I don't care about Bert though. Unless he gets a GLEX (and if he doesn't during the robin banner he won't ever period) I neither need nor care about any of his styles.
I regret not pulling for Saruin, I stopped because I got Neidhart on my first multi and every time I get lucky early I have to go to pity for the other good style

Can't blame ya there, I'm the exact same way. And usually I ignore that warning to my own detriment.
Saruin's a really good style but he's going to be heavily powercrept soon, even though when it comes to T2/3 for shadow/heat he'll still be very relevant as long as he get his coinfilp, the only people who can output that kind of massive raw AoE damage are are still uncommon, outside of Saruin only GLEX Emilia and Gerard can drop a full field 100K+ bomb, and the upcoming Kami 3 I guess but if he's kept as he was in JP he'll need to get TWO coinflips for that kind of damage.
Gerard's also really good for grinding stages in this conquest as there's lots of undeads that will get melted on T2, don't have to worry about stray dullahans taking more time than needed.
Ah yes, if we consider Abaddon Hands sure, he does have more coverage than the average styles, I wasn't considering that at all because it didn't factor in a 3 stage rotation.
And in Bert's defense, Abaddon Hands will be amplifiable too eventually so it becomes an A power fast, which is pretty good.

How does the scaling in conquest work? I can barely do 3-4 nodes and get my shit pushed in the rest of the map.
The nodes scale according to your party's CP level iirc, the enemy batches are also randomly selected from a list instead of being fixed like event/main stages
Any way I can cheese it to complete the nodes? Like putting one or two low CP dorks in?

No worries, it's pretty evident.
Since the game readjusts enemy scaling to your CP you'll actually want to put the best people you've got, it's better to be at your best possible comp than trying to cheat, and you can always retry as many times as you like.
This conquest has enemies that are mostly weak to slash, fire, blunt and sun, so working around that is a good idea, depending on your best team you might want to actually focus on either single enemy nodes or mobs, albeit unfortunately tricks that used to work in the past like IK abuse are not reliable anymore, especially in this conquest where a lot of mobs are undead too, but in single enemy nodes you might get away with at least one IK out of two.
Worse comes to worst, grind Main a bit until you can grind a node comfortably, Conquest is goona last quite a few days so there's no hurry.
The hardest part of the game is right when you start, but if you keep at it and grind enough to get to the plateau needed to create at least one stable farming team, you're set for life, don't give up anon.

It just feels like with my current roster I barely stay ahead of the difficulty curve even on single enemy nodes, all while decked out in upgraded S gear and some SS weapon pieces from free gibs.
Was thinking about rolling on some of the banners that are still around to somewhat remedy the situation.

Yeah, I'm really impressed by how high its damage is despite ZEKE not having much in the way of damage passives. Makes me happy that they can make a solid damage dealing style without having to spend all three passives on damage boosts and leave room for cool things like Scrum Guard. Of course, multi-hit means I gotta get lucky, but it's been satisfying seeing one party member soften three mobs with an aoe and then ZEKE follow up with a bang, bang, bang three-shot that kills them all. I should go check out what his Super Mecha Festival style gives him.
And speaking of bigger numbers thanks to high grades instead of big stats/passives, holy shit that new Alkaiser heal is fricking mint! I only saw it once when he first learned it 'cause I've been auto-grinding instead of doing anything manual with him, but I saw 1770 pop in green numbers and my jaw dropped. So that's what people mean by an "S grade heal". Even with that low LOV stat, jeez.
Anyone else being a madman and potentially skipping all prefecture banners? I already have my favorites and most of the "meta" units so there's no point unless they'll somehow pull a surprise and insanely buff some of these styles or come out with a random GLEX prefecture unit out of the blue. It's weird since normally I'd immediately dive like I did with prefecture Asellus.
No point in pulling unless you've got favorites, outside of unexpected buffs and GLEX you won't see major increments in efficiency until the end of the year starting with the halloween banner at the earliest
I can vouch for GLEX Azami but my AGI roster is still admittedly lacking as I've missed people like Boston, GLEX Red etc., if you're stacked you probably won't need her despite how good she is, only get her if you want to make sure future Azami gets more tool, all of the stuff on this one is top tier inheritance material.
If you're familiar with the series you more or less know half of what you need to know already.
If you don't it's kind of longer to explain, to keep it short
>You need different comps for farming mooks and bossing
>You need to farm good equipment to outfit multiple teams
>You need to unlock and use different formations according to both the fight and what you have on your hands
>Above all you need to create an efficient grinding engine asap because that's what matters most
Basically, you need competent healers, people who can cover AoE and single target on all possible attributes, tanks, counter fishers and buffers/debuffers.
Grinding engines are mostly about clearing waves through AoE attackers, the more valuable being the ones with strong [Fast]techs, multiattributes and good rotations so you can use two people to carry other three trainees.
Boss grind is twofold:
One is about trying to blitz a boss in one or two rounds, you USUALLY need strong single target nukers for this but some rare bosses have adds, so strong t1 AoE is valuable too.
The other is having a team that can survive for enough rounds to reach a certain damage score and then quickly die off, this is for conquest raid final bosses.
Then there's a select couple of must have styles, namely Matriarch 1, ND and any Agi/Dex debuffer of your choice for the most challenging stuff, but this is all for optional content that is there purely for flexing.

GLEX Azami is pretty good
Strong for fast farming, terrific single target. Covers nuking in both Slash and blunt flavors. That said. Trick Pumpkin is no punishing combo so you're only truly bringing her along for Go for Broke.
The recoil is 30%, it triggers on hits for each hit so the total recoil damage is ~13%.
Paralyzes her but even without cleansing she mogs on most of the cast in a protracted fight against slash weak enemies due to how frequently she can use her nuke.

Azami is very high value for both farming and bossing, I highly suggest you to fish for her because she'll be able to help out in farming tremendously.
Barbara is one of the best offensive supporters in the game and will get better once you fish her platinum style with Flamenco Muse, can help out with both grinding and bossing
Vampy's a trap pull, she's merely average at best
>Romancing Cordelia
Rich is MVP, one of the best farming engines to this day, will also get better later on
Cordelia is a competent pierce nuker for bosses but can be disregarded, not vital.
Ginny is probably the best single target STR/INT/AGI debuffer you can get, she also has good inheritance options with styles you can fish in the plat pool, namely a very powerful st nuke for blunt and Petra Delta+ for petryfing things
Wil is a competent boss DEX debuffer that can also bring some Heat utility, good value and versatily but not the best you can get in the field
>Romancing Emilia
Mei Ling is the most efficient mass AGI debuffer you can find right now and overall a competent and versatile style for sun content and comps, she can also get a heal from her plat style on top of a decent sun nuke, good value.
Alkaiser has a nice sun blunt skill for farming, an extremely valuable mass heal for emergency healing and overall decent performance for blunt/sun in an AGI spot once you'll get his plat styles so you can inherit Al Phoenix.
Zeke is very niche, but has one of the very best blunt nukes in the game and can also fish for counters, wouldn't hunt it down but is a good style if you get him while looking for somebody else
Emilia's an alright style but is very, very reliant on her limited styles to work, so in your case it's probably not worth it until they repring her Gradius style.
in short, Azami, Barbara, Rich, Ginny, Alkaiser and Meiling are probably the most valuable people you can get in limited banners right now.

Went into a stage named after a ninja village in Saga prefecture. Looked it up to see if it was real, turns out it's a ninja theme park. Seems like a pretty fun place for kids, they must've made mad bank when Naruto was airing.
All the prefecture events are basically giant ads for the Saga prefecture, the various bosses being all about Ureshino/Takeo onsen, or the various stages being references to key locations in the prefecture.

Nobody knows when reprints will happen, right now your biggest priority is grinding the shit out of your teams and building up as many farming comps as you can, as fast as you can.
The only other "must have" style that will come out is Liam, but we're talking about months from now.

The main renewable method will be from new floors of the Spiral Corridor that global hasn't added yet for some reason (I'm looking at JP banner list and we're already past the latest Spiral pool update).
Right now you can get a few of them from the global exclusive Ludwig limited time event. You need to clear all 15 stages and then three bonus stages unlock (Romancing, use only SF1/SF2/SSG/RSRS characters and use only RS1/RS2/RS3 characters). Clearing the bonus stages gives you gold testaments for tier 3 hidden stats. Though you don't even get enough to fully unlock hidden stats for character, as seen by my pain captured here

Does the gae ever go beyond just mindless Auto? I haven't had to manually control the game once. I was hoping for a mobile Romancing SaGa with just the battle system attached, not AFK arena.
Generally there are a few manual only fights an event. With the exception of conquests which exist only for auto.
And I guess the exception of world tower and the recently departed pandemonium where 150+ was almost exclusively manual.
Ludwig that's up right now is manual (depending on your box) starting at Ludwig 10 and Mock Battle Evelyn is manual only starting that Evelyn 4)
Only the hardest content is manual focused, e.g. romancing bosses, some puzzle events, late Tower floors etc.
Generally speaking the main meat of this game is cooking up Auto teams that are as effective as they can possibly be.
Some styles are also specifically geared towards this, certain styles are kinda bad on auto but are really good on manual, certain styles are good on auto but with certain skills can get even better on manual.

Why does my Gerard do so little damage? I hear Galactic Rift spoke about as if it's one of the most powerful aoes in the game, but it only seems to do around 45k vs dojo and Pandemonium mobs. I have the SS Light+ sword equipped on him, and recently got Galactic Rift to rank 99 thanks to Seeker's Path but I'm not noticing a difference after grinding it up. He's in a 50% INT slot on Anima Stream. Only thing that's not maxed is his level; he's level 39 but would hitting 50 double his damage or something? I think not.

My gerard's almost fully maxed out and can easily get 90K on things weak to Sun on T2
Mostly not, no. That would just trigger an additional "large" damage passive plus whatever the regular weakness multiplier is. That still doesn't sound like it would more than double my damage.

If you're not hitting weaknesses Gerard's not gonna do much, but if you really maxed him out in terms of stats, ranks and equipment, even at his lowest (no imperial assault, GLEX Barbara or matriarch/Mei Ling sun buffs) he should handily hit for at the very least 80K on weakness with Galaxy.

so I rerolled an acct with bunch of banner characters but Mei Lings doing so much less damage than everyone else...
Mei Ling's mainly an AGI debuffer/Sun comp supporter, she's not there for damage, she's there to make sure enemy casters have the worst day of their life.
Also keep in mind Mei Ling is an odd DEX/INT hybrid, so her damage varies wildly depending on which slot you put her in and what you use, if you want her for the gun techs put her in a DEX slot, otherwise put her in an INT slot, although there's the Reverse Sigmoid formation that has 25% DEX/INT slots too.
The plat style gives her a pretty decent Sun/Blunt nuke that buffs the party sun's damage as well, and with a bit of luck becomes pretty consistent in terms of use with her pref style thanks to the 25% chance to get 5BP back.
When are they announcing the next banners? I'm kinda debating on whether to roll on Azami banner or hold.

That's to be expected because it's C power. its utility is used for hard situations because it's aoe agility down + stun chance. her T2 is also nice for bossing: 6BP/A power with morale down. Overall, pretty awesome unit for hard content + backup in farm teams.
Why are you expecting high damage from a Jammer, on a C power AoE?
Put it to 12 if you don't need it so she can loop her Skill 2, and don't forget your earth rapier either since she's a hybrid caster.

Chadwig is pretty strong, don't be surprised, if you don't have good comps and can figure out his pattern it's pretty grueling.

Ventus is now a bit more stable in his damage output but since they didn't buff the chance to chase with Buster Lancer he's still unreliable, and can't even get faster in matriarch comps through buff stacking because again, no Unlimited passives anymore.
Laura's a mixed bag, she now hits even harder than she did, and has better HP upkeep and defensive tools (Iguess the evasion chance is 37%, or maybe 50% since it's extra large?), but she's still stance based and needs full HP to be on top shape. still a beast of a style on manual but niche nonetheless.

So if it's only like a single aoe a turn it's not bad but if she's in an aggro spot to exploit her counter and the boss or mobs hits 4-6 times
We're at a 6% for her to keep her passive (as it only works on full hp) to a >2% chance to keep her passive.
It's... not going to have a lot of mileage if she's trying to maintain the counter spot.
We have a stream on the 24th and they adjusted our banner release schedule to match up with a 24 reset banner. I would be insanely surprised if it wasn't a second GLEX wave with how hard they repurposed Ruby into a worse Scorn

This is really disappointing compared to Matriarch and Jo last year that are still useful to this day, I just hope they make a second round of GLEX to compensate
They're good styles, some of them are still really good styles, not sure why they hit Ruby with the nerf stick given how they buff everyone in GL, it's not like INT heat is a crowded niche either now that the first season OCs are dead.
Also it's disingenuoyu to compare people to a super specialized character like matriarch, she only exists to buff every turn, as crucial as that might be for SOME hard content she's not that great of a character, and Jo has been long since surpassed by many other characters to the point she's not really seeing much use at all in GL outside of farming, where she's just ok.
Maybe Robin Gal will change that, but since they also kept the charge on Pref Cody, it's hard to say whether they'll change her own charge nuke, if they don't she'll be very skippable.
It's not that bad since as long as we're talking about direct AoE she'll counter and recover HP, for things like NPC stages/Dojo/Towers she's still great and she'll be the best at the job.
All in all she has higher highs than JP Laura but lower lows, more survivability but slightly more unstable damage output, which I'm not really sure how worse it is compared to JP since Skill 2 is now B instead of C, we'd need to know the exact math to see if she's truly hitting that lower on GL if she's not at full HP.
At this point I can only hope they buff Selma to not not be garbage and make Nebelstern something more than an outdated damage stick, and give us some good GLEX as an apology for kneecapping Ruby.

Barbara's good, VL isn't.
You already got a big jackpot, save for the future, Barbara enables some fun and pretty effective comps but she's not vital, you can get her later through suptix or reprints.
Barbara is pretty dope and let's you do other crap but Vampy is of dubious value unless they make more fights which are buff resistant in which her ability to not die is actually leveraged. Azami is the star of the banner and that hasn't changed.

It's not exactly a whole lot. At most 140 HP is pretty puny. But you are right in that she's the best counter tank in the game bar none. If fights end before or on the third turn then she mogs all over like of global Forneus. As long as you get lucky on your indirect coinflips. Which was the only thing I was really talking about.

Not entirely fair. Jo 3's Spectacle gate hits pretty damn hard and unless I'm mistaken there's neither cold nor heat that hits harder turn 1 by a fairly sizeable margin.
Anyways this banner is still a pretty damn stout "wait and see" if you have characters that can fulfill these functions. Here's hoping the 24th spices things up.

Something weird happened while I was grinding conquest for stats - at around 1.2-1.3k all my characters ceased getting any stat-ups except HP, but all of them still have moderate glowing aura.
I gather that I hit stat limit on them, but is it supposed to be that much lower than HP? Many mobs still hit me for truckloads and I was hoping that grinding out some stats will help with that, but if from this point onwards I only get HP then I'm at a loss as to how to lower incoming damage further.

It is, if you're in the 150-5 range then you've hit the current stat ceiling.

Didn't find many sources of SS armor or gear if that's what I need.
Just like in the mainlines games you kill them before they kill you, or abuse certain statuses like Stun/Petrify/Paralysis.
I take you're the new guy who started recently, generally speaking mobs won't be a problem once you get your box more stacked so your comps just steamroll through them with the proper skill rotations, it will take some time before you get there though, outside of grinding you do need good equipment, amplifications, extra stats etc. before your farming teams can just blindly pulverize mobs.
Even there in certain parts of the game like higher tower floors you'll still want to play on manual and have some general counterplay for nastier stuff.
Having good armor+gear with abate all stones on both does help, especially since two abate all stones mean a global damage reduction of 20%, but in the harder content that's usually just the very basics you need, it will be more about playing on things like specific passives like styles with Scrum Guard or sources of passive healing.

GLEX Minerva can give her Skill 1/2 to Victoria in the future.
GLEX Coppelia can give any of her skills to the future Plat Coppelia 2, which is kinda big since plat Coppelia 2 will be a really solid style.
GLEX Final Emperor can give his Skill 3 to the future emperor styles and it's still a very good all purpose damage stick to this day
The rest of your list is kinda middling, the OCs are dead for all intents and purposes, this Boston doesn't have a lot of sinergy with future Bostons in terms of inherit, and the RS3 people are...kinda dead right now but this particular Thomas has a strong Skill 3 which might be relevant later.
I splurged most of my savings on it because I wanted Hat Kami and Glex Coppelia but I failed to get either, although I picked up a couple of strays along the way, I've got my pity right now but I still don't know who to choose, and there's also other personal favorites I'd like to get like standard Kami, Esper Girl, NY Mirza or Halloween White Rose.
Thanks for the second opinion on my options. I still think PWR is the best choice, as that WIL buffing seems unrivaled. Just bought the 10k israeliteel pack, which I was planning on adding to my SaGa Fest funds, but I think I will use half of it to grab PWR. But first, I'm gonna wait for someone to answer

This bottomless banner has styles from between 1st and 1.5 anniversary. It's 2nd anniversary now, so almost all of them are going to feel pretty outdated compared to the last month of banners. Current banners usually have decent reroll targets for new players, so these sorts of banners are mostly for dumping 45k in to pity a very specific style you really, really want and maybe get a couple old things you missed along the way.

I can't remember the last time I had this much trouble with a farming event. Nacht 20 is killing me and Nacht 19's stat ceiling is too low to be worth it. What teams/formations are you guys using for the new event?
For 20? Glex: Minerva, Mikhail, Barbara, Claudia, and Jo 3 I think is what my team was.
Barbara is just there to train her pierce skills which I never got around to doing elsehwere

Don't have Minerva or Jo 3, and my pierce is fairly weak, but I should probably switch to a Deadly Pierce EX team and only try to train 2 or so featured characters instead of trying to muscle through and train Fempress, Azami, Gerard, Leon and Narwhal's Daughter all at once. I got too used to being able to grind with five "trainees" (quotes because they're all at or close to the previous highest level cap).
Mariah, GLEX Mikhail, Jo 3 and Wagnas while training Azami
I know Mariah and Wagnas are not the best damage dealers but I'm using them for the bonus stats
Thanks guys. I settled on Mariah, Therese, Claudia, Azami and Gerard in Deadly Pierce EX. Nice that 4 of those get x3 stats. They clear on turn 3 when Azami wakes up pretty reliably. Turn 1 I can almost kill Nacht, but then turn 2 things slow way down as someone will probably get stunned and all the big nukes are spent.
Reading that list of options really drives home once again that my spear damage dealer selection sucks; I have literally none of the ones you mentioned.
It's not really a hard event to farm if you're a veteran, by now you should have plenty of pierce/heat styles to put in multiple slots, but if you're really having troubles:

Any spear user with Multitrust, this means UDX Neidhart, GLEX Minerva etc.
Pref Cody for obvious reasons
Ventus is really good for this, give him his S style Skill 3 as an opener, if he rolls for his chase he's the single best T1 STR DPS you can have for this event, him and Jo are probably the best DPS for this boss period
GLEX Barbara is also good if you amplified Acupuncture
Mystic Asellus, Pref Rich or anyone with Rising Nova+ is also decent in a STR Slot
With a bit of luck Urpina can also do sizeable damage with Torrent fishing but it's not ideal

UDX/GLEX Claudia can do considerable T1 damage too with Reverie Trishot
UDX Darque has a strong T1 nuke but can also rotate Stinger for T1+T2, UDX Jamil is comparable
Zeke has also a very strong T1 if the RNG assists you, second only to Ventus RNG in this scenario
Pref Selma is passable

How idfficult is the series specific Ludwig fights vs Romancing? I managed to beat Romancing but with a few members alive with the cheese shield from GLEX Femps, but the series restrictions are going to give me serious trouble. I'll have to raise a few more styles near max. maybe try out Virgil in this fight in the SF1+ round. I have Myst Asellus and Pref Alkaiser, it's choosing which PWR and a final 5th style to use for team comps.
Probably around Romancing difficulty if not equal. I posted my clears last thread, checking the archive it looks like I used Fempress/Azami/Ellen/Vampire Lady/Barbara for one and Asellus/Madeline/Urpina/Elysed/White Rose for the other. Both in Amazon Strike EX formation.

You have everything you need to do what you want and then some.
If you're looking to have an easy time with easy opponents then stick jo (flambe sorbet), summer empress, glex emelia and whatever aoe unit you like and run them on auto on current events to farm stats. grinding stats is pretty much all you do outside of doing hard content.
Yup, you're good. Emelia, Undine, Blue, Jo, Matriarch, Final Empress, Lyza, Monika, Wagnas, Ferdinand, Minstrel, Asellus, Barbara, Gustave, Barthelemy, Galahad, Albert, Zozma, Dorra, Gwayne, Aldora, Mesarthim, Princess Rei and Liz can all help you cover the majority of content out there.
I think based on your box it would actually be very worth it for you to do a full (33k) pity on the bottomless banner right now. You're missing everything from it I believe, so there's a ton of styles that'll boost your roster's power significantly. If you don't pull her along the way, I would pity GLEX Princess White Rose (the halloween pumpkin one) as she fills the AGI debuffer role so you could use her with Matriarch to try harder stuff one day if you feel like it. Inherit a heal onto her and you're golden. For that, you can get Ray of Hope from her free S style in the Robin Cup exchange.

Had to reach pity but I got this along the way, not even mad about it.
Very nice. I'm biased in favour of SaGa 1&2 but I still use Human F and Human M today. Christmas Rei is a great upgrade to her older style and great dark damage. GLEX Mikhail is fantastic pierce damage. Christmas Urpina has some very nice aoe for farming. Halloween Cat has a guaranteed hit STR/INT debuff, pretty handy vs some bosses but you gotta rank it up manually which is a pain even during Seeker's Path. GLEX Sasha's a great healer and can debuff INT. If that's the Valdor with Drill Pierce he's very solid too. Oh shit, you even got GLEX Rocbouquet! Still a fantastic mage, holds up very well.

Okay, teambuilding. First of all, you're gonna wanna change that formation. Rainbow Rangers is the most common farming one, as it lets you effectively train a variety of characters simultaneously while letting you take advantage of all your various nukes and aoes. Amazon Strike EX is good too if the enemy's weak to slash or Deadly Pierce EX if they're weak to pierce. Anima Stream's probably still best if you're running a mage team targeting an elemental weakness. You can pick all of these up in the formation exchange and if you don't have enough formation medals, just go to the Attacks tab under Events and fight through the easier stages of them until you have enough.
As for who to use, you've got a lot of options. A generic team for say, the quest, I'd probably go Rainbow Rangers with GLEX (Christmas) Urpina or Summer Final Empress in the STR slot, GLEX Emelia in the DEX slot, Dorra or Human F in the AGI slot, Jo's first style in the INT slot and whoever you want in the LOV slot. LOV characters with decent aoes include your GLEX PWR and GLEX Sasha but anyone works so this is your flex slot for training someone else up. That's an aoe team that uses Holy Shining Sword Elegant Sands, Bolt Thrower, Dorra's aoe or Human F's motorcycle move, Sorbet Flambe and whatever to clear waves quickly.
For a single target farming team, such as a conquest boss node, which is ideally what you're running in the conquest for that higher stat cap, I'd go Rainbow Rangers again except this time Zozma in the STR slot with Blood Rage+, Mikhail in the DEX slot with Quadruple Pierce (bump up his s2 to cost the same so he cycles s1 and s3), Human F in the AGI slot but this time max out the bp cost of her s2 so she cycles between s1 and s3, Jo with Checkmate inherited from her second style or Aldora or Christmas Rei or GLEX Roc or even Blue in the INT slot, you have a lot of INT nukes and then whoever in the LOV slot.

You're welcome, good luck! All those styles should be fine in most content so long as you keep grindin' 'em up. Bear in mind, Rainbow Rangers lowers your END by half so physical attacks will hurt. Farming is usually a strike first and strike hard sort of thing, taking advantage of full hp+ holy weapon stones and such.
Hell yeah. Did my paid pull to pity PWR and got Polka's third SS style! I skipped this and his recent 4th one. If I recall correctly, this is the style that does the most damage with Scattered Explosions, right? It's absolutely loaded with damage passives.
Seeing this banner makes me realize how global exclusive styles dropped in quality when compared to Final Empress, Leon, Pumpkin White Rose and Rocbouquet, recent GLEX are all "something that another styles does but a little better" or straight up coomer bait
Maybe they were getting backlash from JP players or they realized these styles completely changed how the game is played
GLEX Leon is just the recent UDX Gerard but with more support and worse damage around the board, GLEX Emps is quite literally just the future Plat Emps but with a greatsword instead of a spear, the vast majority of GLEX styles have always been just previews of future styles/balance adjustments, people like GLEX Femps or GLEX White Rose are outliers and have always been so (GL has also already adjusted to those, see the recent GL Ludwig bossfight for a recent example), you can say the same for the recent GLEX Azami too since there's nobody in JP that has such a kit either.
I have a lot of the these limited styles but am shocked there is an S Asellus w/Rising Nova I don't have. Also wtf it doesn't have that limited SS Ellen style. I don't think it ever had a repeat.

END stacking doesn't give you meaningful damage reduction on high end content where everything one shots you with 2K/3K damage, you want to avoid things entirely and shut down status effects from stray hits, which is why GLEX White Rose is so effective on certain comps

Not if she's dead. We haven't outstatted Evelyn's damage yet. You can evade her pretty easily because her AGI is low. The only real problem is romancing. You need some good strategies to hold that because reaper WILL hit you without dex debuffs and it's usually all she needs to start snowballing her Super Flu on you. Romancing still a menace. But not that bad depending on your box.
AFAIK Ruby is potentially THE best ST WIL debuffer in the game thus far. Better even than Scorn with average RNG. Her skill 2 should be a 50% for a large wil debuff and she has access to fire rat.
Frick all useless for AoE though. But Evelyn still holds that on her back so it's not like it matters right now.
As for counter weenie strats. Pic related. The real reason I want and now use Laura is because she comes baked in with taunt. Urpina may have access to her counter two turns in a row for this fight but she needs a substantial amount of luck even in Tiger Shark to actually get fricking hit with every single attack.

It's not as simple as that, Scorn has two guaranteed small WIL debuffs per round and rolls with a 37% chance for a third, on top of that he can mass debuff WIL (small) too for a single attack just in case you need it.
Ruby has only one guaranteed small WIL debuff if you use Fire Rat instead of Fire Arrows, then she rolls for a Large one with what should be a 50% chance, meaning if Ruby doesn't roll consistently Scorn leaves her in the dust, Scorn also has a major advantage over Ruby, he rolls for Energy Steal+ chase on any skill he uses, which means he's a lot harder to kill, which means he's also a lot more consistent in terms of debuffing even though in theory Ruby has the chance of doing more damage in the long run, if her other coin toss collaborates.
Stage Kujinshi is a similar deal, he has a 37% chance to apply the same Large WIL debuff as Ruby BUT whenever he lands an attack, Since he has Victim Sword which cases with Shadow Bolt+(which is AoE too) he can, in theory, tank WIL harder than anyone if he passes the checks for both rolls, and regen 4BP too, and similarly to Spite he also has plenty of strong self healing options.
Due to how decay works in this game it's better to have consistent debuffers rather than people who roll for large ones, same reason why Pref Ginny's large INT/STR debuffs aren't so hot because she has a turn cooldown on those skills, as a result GL Ruby's currently inbetween Stage Kujinshi and Spite in that she has theoretically higher highs than Spite if she passes the rolls consistently, but also lower highs than Kujinshi if he passes the rolls consistently.
Performance wise we're seeing the same issue of any coin toss style such as Stage Wagnas, Kami or even the recent Ventus, it's the archetype's greatest strength and greatest weakness, if you get heads then you're doing record breaking performance, if you get tails then you're barely above mediocre.

Two? From what? Scorn only has enervate and that's a 25% chance. Where does the second one come from? The AoE also depends on enervate.
Even owing to decay, on the assumption she's working with 15% and not higher for her now unique ability (15% turn 1%, fail turn 2 11.25% etc)
Now Red Mage I'll give you is different. He coinflips for energy drain and is magnitudes more tanky as a result. His debuff, while only 5%, stacks consistently. On average, it fluctuates from being marginally better to slightly worse. Off the passives alone and owing that he and Ruby roll the exact same thing on average they would break even at T4. Ruby with average luck fluctuates between -15% and -22.5%.

Ruby's online way faster though. But naturally you're going to take the longer lasting unit... in the future.
Stage Kujinshi is also a misnomer. It's a 37% * 2. The odds of that happening at all is 13%. If you were running some ailment strat you wouldn't be frustrating yourself with resets for that. You'd take Wicked Witch like a sane person.

To be fair, rarely are you going to be taking her for both functions. You'd either use her as a ramping fire mage OR a wil debuffer. There's only really two flavors of element for wil debuff right now and there were and will be more bosses that are not weak or down right resistant to both flavors.

Glex Urpina took like 11 resets. Annie did it in one go and smiled on her way to the finish line. I forget sometimes that she has prism soul and as a result is functionally unhittable once the snowball starts. Which wouldn't matter even if she did get clipped as her passive colorful slash heals for 1k
Vampy was taken over Asellus because no amount of bad RNG will kill Vampy. Ever. She WILL use Rising Nova+
I hate attacks. I need 3 more medals but looks like I should grind a lot more of stats and ranks, I'm only at 550HP with skills at rank ~40.
Yeah, they get very tough. I still haven't done the last stage for the previous five attacks; they're permanent so I just wait to powercreep them like Asura. I should probably go back and try a few since it's been a while, but I've got time-limited high difficulty content to focus on.
The other guy explained why PWR is generally better for the toughest stuff; I lived in fear of status effects ending a very long turtling run until yesterday. But as far as Golden Baum-chan goes, she's pretty good in specific fights. If the boss is pure physical (rare), she'll help a lot. Most of the time when I use her, it's in counter strats so she can give the party a large guard up with Shrine Dance to weather storms during turns where Fempress doesn't have Imperial Shield up.
Evelyn will still kick your teeth in. Everything she does gives you the super flu.

Emboldened by my World Tower victory, I decided to go back and try the five most recent attacks, hoping I'd powercreep them. I did, but damn Evelyn was giving me trouble on Challenge 3, not even Romancing. That is, until I put my gal Monika on the team and then she was easy and didn't give me aids even once. Very glad to get to put Monika to work on some hard content. Just have Tu Kwai left, shouldn't be too bad. I might even be able to beat Wasteland War for another thousand israeliteels.
I wonder how good Ginny will be at debuffing when I max out her two skills, I know enemies lover to counter direct attacks, at least her debuffs are large, and she can fire them off every other turn with her support skill. Apparently Dahao SS had a double debuff of AGI and CEX, have you guys been able to clear out the content without Dahao/Witch's Daughter?
I thought about raising Ginny real quick but I haven't gotten around to it. I have all of her styles but somehow I never got around to it.

I've been able to do all 200 floors of the SSG tower and all 300 floors of World Tower along with, just now, all the Attacks, and the main meta styles I seem to be missing when I look at other clear videos are

But man, I really, really wish I had those styles. I'm trying Wastelands War (Bertrand) 5 and I die to the mobs on wave 2 of 10. I don't think I can beat this without a source of aoe DEX debuffing. The only source of DEX debuffs I have is my #1 girl Undine's Chill; man she has been putting in a lot of work lately.
Managed to be the series specific Ludwig fights. Genryu Snow was the more important buffer/support than PWR with his buffing hail, and Virgil was way more durable than I realized, he was tanking hits like a damn champ! That allowed Blue, Asselus and Alkaiser to keep attacking him. I used Amaon EX, but I should have tried Desert Lance EX before it shuts down. The RS crew gave me far less trouble thanks to the GLEX styles and matriarch of course, but Byunei 3 managed to save me from an untimely restart when she was able to get a couple of counter hits in. one hit pushed him into the 2nd phase, the 2nd counter hit was enough for even a simple attack to do him in. And that was with Matriarch and Azami down and everyone was out of BP!
Man, Saruin on Floor 260 was a real sonuvabitch. I mean a really big meanie. His debuff scrubbing had my brainlet ass at a loss, so I searched for a clear and had all the pieces to do it. Checked, and the crazy thing was, over 90% of the time during the fight when he used Sword of Saruin or Energy Bolt, it targeted for Mirsa (for no damage of course). It might have even been every time, but I'm assuming there must've been once or twice where it didn't happen. It's like it was coded that way on purpose.

Ya know it's funny. Earlier today I'm posting about Baum-chan, and we're comparing her with GLEX PWR. Somehow I get it into my head to take another kick at floor 191 of the Scarlet Grace Pandemonium tower, which I had previously abandoned after discovering I could not beat the Earth Serpent and his Soil Worm minions without an aoe DEX debuffer.
I put Golden Baum and my new GLEX PWR on the team and boom, easy win on the first try. I don't understand how this worked but it worked out beautifully. Stacking END and WIL to the sky along with the usual AGI buffing is a helluva time, I tell ya what.
10 days left on this tower, so maybe if I can make it past this hump, I can go all the way after all.

It didn't actually take longer than a normal turtling strat at this point. Hell, it was faster than Antonius right after. Undine's Chill was hitting for pretty nice little chunks every round, and Golden Baum hit weakness too with her s2.
I'm starting to see the logic behind some of the changes in the recent banners.
Ventus can now open the floodgates for STR buffing a lot more efficiently than in JP, if the coint toss for chase buster complies, if it does, even without Matriarch stacking STR buffs every turn his coin toss busters alone can start hitting for six digits on round 3 IF he gets consistent chases, which is honestly impressive as much as I do miss the AGI stacking, because that indirectly gave him a bit more survivability in matriarch comps, on the other hand if he inherits his S style Skill 3 AND chases, he's the roufas equivalent to Pierce damage for T1, which is what I hoped Pref Cody would have been about but whatever...
I'd go as far as saying that I might have actually underrated him a fair bit, but coin toss characters have such a big caveat it's hard to evaluate them properly.
Laura's still a mixed bag imo, in melee focused bosses/NPC fights she's crazy, arguably better than she was since the new full evasion passive now helps her a lot in evading stray spells, but if she doesn't proc that she loses both damage AND the passive evasion which is a bit too much of a handicap for somebody who can't reliably self top, unlike Iskandar, the lack of a ST nuke also hurts her bossing capabilities but a future style might change that, she's still very strong if you do build entirely around her niche by putting people like Mariah, Golden Baum or anyone with party wide heals, if you do Laura becomes a nearly impregnable fortress, which is pretty great for a lot of tower stages.
Selma's meh, Silver Aegis is still a dead slot even with one more proc and her DEX stacking isn't nearly as impressive as Ventus' STR stacking despite not needing a coin toss to open the floodgates, she's surely more stable but Ventus has much, much crazier highs and a better toolkit for pushing damage in general, still decent for a DEX slot since Ventus is STR, will be pointless on that when Ciato drops though.
How would you rank Laura against all the other counter characters we have?
Urpina has been putting in work for me since I got her.
Kind of a long topic so I'll try to be as exhaustive as possible because I hate QRDs.

Torrent is a [Fast] Pierce+Slash B power deflect AoE counter and it costs 10BP, while it does go off on Auto you can't really make full use of it unless you play on manual and use Dual Wield Stance to recharge so eh, it's not THAT great since you'll want your tank to have their counters up ASAP, ProResu Urpina can theoretically work around that if she flips enough +2BP coins but the issue is that she'll lose on the damage side when it comes to that and she'll be highly unstable.
Laura's rainbow deflect is a 7BP stance with B power AoE pierce, she loses one attribute compared to Urpina but she has better upkeep and no need for previous styles either, moreover her rainbow deflect self heals, which is big, and she just has far better damage than Urpina, Urpina just can't reach the damage Laura pulls on deflects, not even her GLEX can do it and her GLEX also has the same issue of losing damage output if her HP is not topped, but unlike Laura she can't self top at all.
>Golden Lion
NY GL has a 7BP, B power Slash AoE counter stance, which also gives her back 1BP on every hit, and is further propped up by her passive 1 giving her back a very small amount of BP and a medium STR buff.
The rest of her passive set is similar to Laura's and she can also inherit Lion Stance: Encase to give herself a medium Guard Up and 2BP at 0BP cost, so basically she can keep up Savage Lion ever odd turn, and in the long run, she can match Laura's firepower without needing external buffs, moreover she has a passive for large damage mitigation and a whopping 84% END multiplier.
This might lead you to think "wtf she's basically just Laura but better", there's a big hole in her strategy however:
Savage Lion doesn't deflect, this is a massive issue for mainly two reasons:
One hit kills and Stuns (think attacks like Tackle) just shut down NY GL entirely, Laura just deflects and laughs.

Tidal Lure is a 7BP, S power [Fast] Pierce+Cold counter, that leads to Maelstrom, which is S power cold.
Forneus is similar to the aforemention NY Golden Lion in that he has a large damage reduction and HP recovery on hit+very small heals, he has worse damage modifiers however so he can't quite leverage the full power of Maelstrom, doesn't help that his second style doesn't have any defensive passives, and his future style won't make this better either as he won't have any defensive bonus or self heals, so running counters on that is not really desireable since just like Savage Lion, Tidal Lure is not a deflect counter, and so just like Golden Lion, Forneus' role as a counter fisher crumbles the moment he gets hit by a nuke or by something that stuns on hit like again, Tackle, Knee Split and what have you, and unlike Laura he doesn't even a good chance to avoid indirect things like spells, he just eats them and croak whereas Laura can actually flip Solemn Judgment from her field and say that she doesn't get hit, on top of again, hitting harder than any current incarnation of Forneus.
Other than these, there's the extremely recent Asura who has a SS power Aoe counter but it's kind of pointless to talk about it, and maybe the upcoming Boston but his counter is not a proper AoE, rather, three separate C power hits, so again, not really comparable to Laura.
In conclusion, how would I rank Laura among the AoE counter fishers in the game?
Probably Laura=ProResu Urpina>NY GL=Urpina>Forneus.

Not the guy asking you questions, but even if he's the worst, fish guy's been doing pretty good by me. It's nice to know that if that's the case, you're pretty much set with any of these.
I'm personally ranking Forneus as the lowest because he suffers from all the issues NY GL has while also not having something like Lion Stance: Encase for better defense and cycling, and a slightly worse off toolkit in terms of passives.
That doesn't mean that particular Forneus style is bad, far from it, if I had to deal with enemy batches that were weak to cold I'd bring him over NY GL or Urpina without question, and he still pulls his own in below 180 floors of the world tower, so this ranking is fairly relative and also puts each style in an ideal environment where we consider the best and worst case scenarios for a specific niche which is not really crowded to begin with.
Forneus still does a lot of heavy duty work to this day, he's my personal Dojo 5 clearer and I do not intended to change that any time soon, Laura would surely clear Dojo 5 much faster in 90% of the cases but I'd uninstall the game if I had to do manual Dojo every single day.
I really appreciate this. I cannot tell which Urpina ProResu is. Is that [I'm Ready]? I didn't know GL had to take damage first.
What do you think about Annie? She can inherit a taunt and has a decent AoE counter but it is not guaranteed.

Ehhh, as somebody who has Annie in his top 20 most used units and pulled her GLEX out of sheer favoritism, GLEX Annie's a real mixed bag, honestly clunky to actively use for her counter since her only real way to use it outside of matriarch comps is to inherit Parry and hoping she activates her counter to pull of her Skill 3, which is pretty damn bad since it will activate at Rank 1, and GLEX Annie just doesn't have the passives to make it good no matter how hard she tries.
You CAN get lucky and get it to proc a couple of times per round, it did happen, but even considering her self buffing AND healing I'd never use her over Laura, or even over NY GL or Forneus, there's fishing for RNG and there's Russian Roulette, I like betting on tough odds but I'm no Kyousuke Nanbu if you catch my drift.
Also consider another important thing when looking at AoE counter styles:
You want to finish the fight ASAP since you're using them for stages with lots of enemies like the Seven Heroes floors or the various SaGa NPC stages, the point of these styles is not to weather a storm but to kill the fricking storm before it kills you.
What sets Laura apart from EVERYONE ELSE in the game up to this very day in JP is that she can pull off TWO deflects back to back, the only other style that can do something vaguely similar will be the second new year Golden Lion IF you have the first NY golden lion so she can inherit her Savage Lion skill, since NY GL 2 has Power Charge 3, but again, Savage Lion isn't a Deflect so she can still be shut down before getting anything done and doesn't have a passive toolkit for counter styles either.
This is arguably the biggest reason why Laura's on top of her niche, because nobody else is as fast and efficient at it as she is, if for whatever reason she didn't kill things in the first round she WILL kill them on the second round, nobody else can do this.
Nebelstern...I can see what the intention was, they wanted to make him a more offensive version of Iskandar but for STR Pierce, same exact 11>3 rotation was kept but now he can self buff for five rounds exactly like Iskandar, the issue is that
1) Iskandar comes with pretty mighty STR buildups AND defensive buffs for each turn
2) Iskandar rotates a 3BP dual attribute skill that also self heals for a considerable amount meaning he's tanky as hell
3) If that wasn't enough Iskandar also self buffs WIL every turn which is big for the same reason GLEX White Rose is big
And despite the changes, Nebelstern doesn't have any of this, instead he can inherit a wind based heal spell, which puts him in a more supportive role...for somebody who's built as nothing but a ST damage stick so they didn't really solve any of the issues with him coming from JP.
Nacht isn't really worth mentioning in the sense that nothing fundamentally changed about his kit, outside of having a slightly better ST capability now if you stack AGI high enough but still, nobody would ever bring Nacht to bossfights, it's a farming machine through and through.
Skya and Ruby were both kneecapped hard and I still can't find any redeeming value in their changes, nor any logic behind them outside of giving Polka and Jo one last hurrah as fire casters, as if they needed it, they're still good styles but far from what they were in JP, Skya's loss of vivify hurts her tremendously and Ruby just can't push crazy heat DPS anymore even if she gets lucky with WIL debuff stacking, I'd say she's basically just Stage Wagnas in an INT slot but with better rotations and less attribute covering, which is not bad but not particularly good either, especially since when Stage Kujinshi will drop she'll get mogged in the ST WIL debuff department pretty hard, let's not talk about Red Mage either who will just eclipse her entirely.
After a handful of tries, Desert Lance EX Virgil works. Virgil got the deathblow last man standing with an overdrifve sunspot, lol.

Nice. Now you just gotta get more equipment medals to get SS armor and gear from the equipment exchange and wait for pickaxes to drop in the story again for some full hp+ weapon stones for farming and abate all armor and gear stones for lowering the damage you take.

Well, they finally updated egg shell exchange and are making me use it again, so there's hope.
In Ruby's defense, she and Ventus have been turned into the same slow and steady kind of character Iskandar is, all three of them are about building up buffs/debuffs in the long run, they're all meant for high difficulty content where you'll spend a lot of rounds before killing things, the more the fight goes on the more chances you get to roll for INT buffs and WIL debuffs, if you're lucky Ruby is pretty terrific.
She's worse off than either Iskandar and Ventus at her job though because she's a lot more unreliable.
Iskandar doesn't roll anything, he just passively stacks STR/WIL every turn, on the other hand he's stuck on a 11>3>3>3BP rotation on auto, but that 3BP skill gives him back a massive chunk of HP even if he doesn't hit anything, which is busted, and on manual he still has good options outside of that, but that STR/WIL stacking is obscene in the long run and turns him into a beast.
Ventus now stacks a large STR Buff for every hit he lands AND can chase with a SSSS nuke (meaning he potentially gets two large STR buff in a single round), which means that in just three rounds he's already the virtually strongest pierce DPS in the entire game WITHOUT considering Matriarch+ND buffs to further make him snowball, on manual he gets even better because you can choose to cycle a 9BP SSS column nuke too which can chase with the SSSS Nuke, this leads to insane damage in long fights.
Ruby's issue is that she doubles down on Ventus' package, she has to roll for both INT buffs and WIL debuffs, even if both rolls have actually pretty good rates for the average coin toss there's still two of them, she has the same exact issue as the upcoming Kami where he has to roll for two chases, her overall performance is great on paper but a different thing in practice, she's just too unstable without offering any other gimmick, unlike Stage Kujinshi who also rolls a lot but has a passive counter SSS nuke.

The styles pretty good, decently tanky, and has a great buff. Not that hot of a stat line though.
94%+14 AGI is all you need for a buff/heal bot, they even gave her Bloodslay for self healing, that's pretty damn strong regardless of sub 100% statlines you're never gonna use

Now I'm going back to the big one, World Tower. I'm on floor 266 of 300 over there and I'm getting worried that it might be all boss floors from here, which would be ridiculous. Floor 260 was a boss of course, Saruin, and floor 261 was a mob floor as expected. But then Floor 262 was a boss floor instead of a mob floor, and it's been bosses ever since. Maybe things'll ease up after I kill all four Sinistrals and their true forms.
I've held off on world tower. If there's a 4th banner and by proxy a 4th GLEX to mark our anniversary I'm going to roll, first on it, than on every single banner available until I get what I want out of them all or run out of store bundles

You're kind of lucky, outside of some placebo stat buffs Apollo and Megami are the same as JP.
Kami however got some interesting changes.
Power Charge 3 has been powered up, so he now starts with 3BP and also gets back 1 BP when an attack lands, if this applies to his coin toss for chase that means he can get up to 3BP back which is big.
Skill 1 now debuffs LOV (Small)
Skill 2 now confuses.
So it's still more or less like JP, if you got Alkaiser then Megami's not super important as much as she's still a solid unit (and very important for her later style), Kami's a bit more interesting than JP if the new passive changes apply to any attack and not just the first one, but he's still kinda niche, Apollo's basically Iskandar for INT slash/heat but if you don't have his previous style for amplifying Masamune he's really crappy.
Pull or skip is up to you, guess the next banner will be LDS at this point.
And here I am hoping for buffs because the FFL styles are the most important ones that will be in 2022 for me.
That confuse buff on S2 is lovely to see; I've been using Saruin and Orlouge for confusion and while I like them, it's gonna be even better getting to use a fave like Creator (and at a lower BP cost and higher INT too!). The LOV debuff confuses and scares me a little. In what content would we ever need a LOV buff, let alone one that can be spammed every turn? I hope this doesn't mean a GLEX event battle is coming up that requires this.
God I'm gonna be sweating for weeks over these banners.
afaik Orlouge "should" still have the higher chance to confuse. Though obviously if it came to single target confusion, nobody is as good at that job as Wicked Witch

I wouldn't use Apollo like Iskandar, he's kind of the same role more or less, similar passives, similar rotations, but he lacks a big thing that Iskandar has, which is a Camphor Strike equivalent for self topping.
He does have a pretty decent self heal that also gives him Guard Up for a couple of turns, but

That means Apollo is actually fricked if you try to use him like Iskandar, who can sit in the frontlines just fine because Camphor Strike gives him back some 800HP every turn and stays on indefinitely without any dead turn.
As an INT slasher he's not so hot either, Masamune+ is bangers but it's not a perfect rotation and he doesn't have a strong opening nuke like Golden Dragon+ either, when we look at INT slashers, nobody beats Oneesama.

The brand new White Rose competes with Matriarch 1, and Matriarch 4 is pointless, I'd say if you get her you can kind of disregard Matriarch 1 and stick with somebody like ND if you have her.

Gale Darts hits pretty nice for an INT slash attack. Plus, Power Charge III is nice if you get Byunei 1 later and inherit Rising Earth for a fast slash attack. Those are the nice features, she's decent if you just started.

Megami is a tanky ST INT attacker with an emergency heal like Alkaiser, except hers is Fast and can only be used once per fight.
Will get another style later on that is considered one of the very best support styles in the game, and will benefit from the aforementioned heal.
Apollo just doubles down on what the first Apollo does, except he's less tanky as the first style and is basically dead in the water if you don't have the first style to inherit Masamune+, if you do, he's basically a rough equivalent of Iskandar for INT slots, but Slash/Heat rather than Slash/Blunt, and with its own perks too since all those skills are indirect, meaning Apollo doesn't care about counter skills.
Last Apollo style to this day though.
Kami is again, doubling down on what Kami does best, that is INT based Sun+Random attribute AoE farming with coin tosses for chases, except this one Kami has TWO coin tosses for TWO chases, which leads to really fricking high T1 damage.
Since this Kami received pretty nice buffs he's better off than JP, where he was considered one of the better sun farmers, but GL has LOTS of Sun farmers by now, so chances are you don't really need him, especially since his coin tosses are highly unstable.
It's also the last Kami style to this day so just like Apollo, consider how much you'd need him.
Why'd they change Isis' English name to Goddess anyway? Green guy was always Kami in Japanese and Creator in English, but this lady was Megami in Japanese and Isis in English except in this mobile game.
Localization is kinda inconsistent, sometimes they keep the original names even though they're wrong (Emelia, notice how even the Frontier remaster uses Emilia), sometimes they retranslate them.
Apollo was also kept like that instead of using the correct version, which is Apollon, Sensei was now kept as Sensei instead of the original Mr.S from the old localized version, Esper Girl was also kept as it was in the original script instead of being called Mutant F.

Dammit, Black X on floor 280 could be my stopping point for now. I look up a clear and the guy has all three meta DEX debuffers on the same team: Bune 3, Witch's Daughter and GLEX Undine. I only have Undine. Though the main issue seems to be, unlike every other boss that debuff cleanses, he starts his attack routine with his debuff cleanse instead of doing it after, so he's fresh as a daisy to nail me with all those 4 digit damage aoes. He can't dispel my buffs like his minions the four emperors did though, so maybe I can stack END with Golden Baum or something. That's how I beat Metal Black with only one source of DEX debuffing.

Nice, added to my list. Our old friend Creator comes back for floor 285 and he keeps his raid style damage race mechanic. I almost had him with Fempress/Barbara/Azami/Roc/Matriarch pain train but this comp is horribly weak to Repent. Time to enter RNG hell, which is his domain so it's fitting.
How does the difficulty on the hidden dojo work?
Each tier has statistically stronger enemies, from tier IV onwards you'll also see different enemy batches.
There's also the occasional special Dojo battles like Haniwa stages during classic SaGa banners/festival.

Nah, I think you're the majority and I'm the minority. Hell, I'm pretty sure I'm the only guy here crazy enough to be wasting hours of the day climbing towers. One of the great things about this game is that it can reach a huge variety of players. It can be as comfy or as ball-busting as you want it to be, and I think that's really nice.

Equipment exchange. There's some equipment medals in the Goddess event shop you can grab to buy her an SS weapon. Specifically you are looking for the Demonbird Claw. Gloves of Sorrow is the only other SS weapon for an INT martial arts user like Goddess/Creator/Apollo but that one gives a tiny penalty to healing so it's better for someone like Creator instead.
These new loading screens are pretty great. The Roc one is super lewd, I hope I can remember to get a cap.

The mobs on floor 291 are fricking insane. I might have to put Fempress on the team just to Imperial Shield turn 1. They outspeed and quad digit aoe on turn 1, shit's crazy.
This clear of 295 was one of the closest fights ever. Mariah got pure barrier off before dying on Princess Lion, who started the round with 160 hp. She somehow ate two hits (must've been at single digit hp) and that was exactly enough to kill. If this didn't kill, I'd have lost. I really need to go grind this girl, she's amazing even at 1600 hp.

This is insane. The only clears of Ludwig on 299 I could find that I can replicate take 40+ minutes per successful attempt. Without Snowy, maximum turtling seems to be the only way, but it's so rng. Best I've done in the last hour is get him to 75%. I might not have the time in the day to dedicate this, but there's no way I wanna give up on the Proof just one floor above me!

Same, Bune 3 is my biggest regret. If they do another paid pull for 15k medals with the next bottomless, I will straight up buy her if I don't have the 33k israeliteels to spare for that bottomless. The current one has everything from 1st anni to 1.5 anni, which means the next one should have styles from just after 1.5 anni (which would be Bune 3's banner) to the 2nd anniversary we're having now. It's gonna be an incredibly good banner for me to pull on as I did a lot of skips these past six months (and yet am still poor because holy shit I have to pity so often).

Always pull for Mama. More seriously, I pulled her on release and never used her until this most recent World Tower to help on some boss floors past 250. This is pretty much all she seems good for. If you have Snowy, he might cover the WIL buffing you need. GLEX PWR can buff WIL as well. I don't think END buffing is as important as Igomahl seems to mostly use magic, but Golden Baum's a great END buffer and overall damage mitigator with Shrine Dance (which I keep forgetting lasts for 2 turns so I don't need to spam it).
I don't know. This is the 4th time we've had it on global. I thought we were only gonna get it 3 times. Last time added floors 250 to 300. This time added an actual reward to clearing it instead of just israeliteels. It no longer has a place in the story so if they rerun it, it'd be like any other rerun event I suppose. An anon here once told me about all the future towers coming up, I really should've saved that post. You should start coping and if it helps, it's not gonna make or break your account.
That's the thing, I have every other buffing unit and M1+2 so I hope the other units can cover her slot. I seem to miss some key units like M3 and Time Lord, and I missed out probably because I left the game in a small bout of frustration and returned during the beginning of the 2nd part of Ancient War.
I have plenty of debuffers at least, I need another Seeker's Cave and just start skill grinding like mad. Maybe the new prefecture units can work too, Skya looks like a nice support unit.
This banner was by far my peak luck, I got her, Forneus and Ferdinand with just 6000 israeliteels, after that it was all downhill

For the floor bosses past 210 I notice some players debuff DEX, apparently the bosses start using DEX-based moves now or is there something else going on?
Check the enemy skills. If they have a weapon icon that's not a fist, you're gonna want a DEX debuffer. Luckily, just one single target DEX debuffer should do (that's all I have). It's not like the damn SSG tower that wants aoe DEX debuffing. Though I managed to beat that without it just by putting both Golden Baum and GLEX PWR on the same team and it somehow worked.
You debuff DEX when it comes to non MA physical skills since that's what regulates their accuracy, AGI is for casters/martial arts as that's what regulates spell accuracy, AGI isn't a catchall debuff, you have to choose your debuffers accordingly which is why Byunei 4 is insanely valuable since she debuffs both AGI and DEX at the same time.

I didn't grind out Hero's Amulet+, I think I just used whatever SS accessory gives resistance to all ailments, Gold Feather Charm iirc. Hero's Amulet is better, you can grind them from the final stage of Mirsa's tower. Surviving that first round's paralyze is the big deal.

I beat World Tower! Take that, clown! She was much easier than Ludwig, she didn't have any scary attacks like he did. I'm very happy I got to use my bro Mirsa, my favourite male character in the game, to take down the toughest bosses.

Anyways ideally Taria will be finished by tomorrow and I'll be back climbing soon. She was missing with her petrify and there's two ways to really deal with that but I don't want to do either of them.
The good news is, mob floors disappear for a awhile once you get past floor 261. They don't become a regular thing again until 281 forward.
Though the mobs got so bad in the 290s, I ended up using what looked more like a boss team for them: Mama/ND/PWR/Macha/Final Empress. Goal being to buff Macha's INT and AGI for Rock Sting spam and rely on the other buffs plus Imperial Shield to last long enough until I had the mobs in a corner.

That's the big hurdle, you need DEX debuff for that floor. Somehow I won without aoe DEX debuffing, just Undine focusing her debuff on the boss while Golden Baum and GLEX PWR buffed my END and WIL to the sky.
Got to F180 on the SSG tower, need to build up daughter so I can have a 3rd AGI debuffer unit because the bug is starting to filter me. I have over 2 days to get her and some other unites almost ready, hopefully the HP ticks are generous as I grind in the sauna.

Yeah, I worry about this every time I have to do it. First, make sure you went into the options on your old phone and linked with a service (I think the options are Google Play Games and Facebook iirc, I went with the former).
Then, install the game on your device. Tap the title screen when it pops up, it'll ask you to select a server. Go with whatever server your old account was on (not sure how important this part is tbh, I've never tried switching servers). The title screen will refresh, there should be a data link button at the bottom. Tap that and you should be able to data transfer so long as your new device has whatever account your game is linked to set as the account you're using on it too (so same Google Play Games or Facebook account is active on the new device). Then you should have to download a bunch of data and once that's done, it'll load into your game.
So I have to press the Data Link button on the new phone too?
I thought that would override the data from the old phone by reading what the message says, does the download go automatically on game startup? I don't see any option about it on the main screen.

Yes, it's very misleading and scary, but that how it goes. Well wait, the Data Link button is what you press on your new phone.
First, on your old phone, get into your actual game where you're looking at people walk around in Vanguard.
Then hit Menu on the upper right. Then hit the Data Link button on that Menu screen. This is all on your old phone, which I hope works enough to do this or you've already done it in the past. It'll ask you to link a service. Pick one, then the link will be established (you've probably already done this).
Then on the new phone, with a fresh install and having already logged into the service you linked with on this new device using the same account for that service, you tap Data Link at the bottom of the title screen as soon as it pops up. It'll ask you once again to link a service, this is the poorly-worded part. Tap the same service and what it actually means is that it will transfer over data if it finds any game data already linked to that service via the same account you're logged into on that device.
If you don't see the Data Link button on the title screen, tap the title screen and it should give the server select screen, then take you back to the title screen but with the Data Link button on it now.

You're welcome and yeah, it's normal not to see your ID on the title screen. Yet another misleading part of this process that makes it seem scary. If the fresh install on the new phone said it linked your data after you tapped Data Link, then hit the title screen and wait for a big data download prompt. Then sit back, nervously relax and wait for that data to download and it should bring up your familiar home screen automatically after the download completes. Prepare to be annoyed as you will have to sit through various features like Hidden Dojo and Robin Cup unlocking again, and grinding will sometimes be halted as the first instance tutorial messages will pop up again the first time you spark a skill or rank up a skill or combo during combat, etc. Also, any paid israeliteels will only transfer if you're going from an Android device to another Android device or Apple to Apple. If it's Android to Apple or vice versa, they'll stay on your old device. Free israeliteels will carry over though.

Oh, and if you can, take a screenshot of your player information screen on your old phone before you data transfer in case something fricks up. That'll help support get your account back if something goes truly wrong.
And also note that once you transfer, you won't be able to play the game on your old device unless you first uninstall it then reinstall and transfer back to it. This game only lets you play on one device at a time.

None of my SBL users are even remotely leveled or uncapped for the fight besides Leon (who doesn't seem good enough) and I can't outspeed his big deeps using the other method.
I was hoping matriarch alone could handle soul freeze but she's not good enough by herself and neither is pumpkin PWR if by herself. Gotta use a combination of two of either mat/pwr/ND.

I saw a cheeky Mystic Asellus strat that I think I can appreciate but my Ginny (which is the cornerstone of that strat) is the furthest thing away from being a developed character.
Also my Mat is taking like 1k in Den from mortal darkweb despite being a developed character despite having like 46 dark resist and I don't know what to do to fix that mess. I thought it was directly related to "Will" but Vampy takes like 1400 and she's got like 96 dark resist. Meanwhile Emelia doesn't feel a thing.
Well, at least you have over a month to grind with some new stat caps on the way too. Dark resist is good for Ludwig but you'll also want a lot of slash resist. When the last 50 floors got added, a lot of people got stuck on 299. Do yo have the styles I used here
? Leon might be able to sub for Mirsa, though it'll make the fight even longer as he does less damage. Being immune to dark damage really helped too, though if the other four managed to survive, whoever you use in place of Mirsa should be able to live too. Sounds like grinding is the way to go.
Oh, one more thing about Ludwig that you've probably already figured out: he follows a script. Those big aoe frick you turns with Crescent Slash/Rolling Slash + Demise happen at set intervals and at certain intervals he will tack a Mortal Darkweb onto the end of the turn (after removing debuffs for an extra frick you) he does those aoes. I never figured out the exact pattern, which is why it could be useful to have a clear video open while you do it so you can "preview" what the next turn will be.

This is cheekier then the cheekiest romancing I've done. I went a bit different and used Imperial shield 2 times back to back for turns 3 and 4 to improve stability and inherited Moon Flash (or V-impact if you're feeling lucky for your NDs +1 BP improved loops)
All you have to do is get moderately lucky with the counters and the fight plays itself.

That's more or less the same approach I used for Romancing GLEX Ludwig, not surprised.
To be fair Asura's Wrath being a critical against humans makes Mystic Asellus really valuable in a lot of boss content, she's really good in the Tu Kwai/Bertrand attacks for that reason because she can do a lot of critical damage while being relatively safe.
I did end up using her for Tu Kwai Challenge 3 but benched her for Forneus for Romancing 'cause she resists Asellus' counter, making it only do 20k damage while she's weak to Forneus'.
Nice! Congrats on making it to 300, it's not as bad as 299. Whatever theme you go with, you'll want to focus on WIL buffing and dark resist. Igomahl doesn't have any big frick you attacks, unlike Ludwig who had three or four.

. Rapid Stream sounds unintuitive for a defensive team, but stacking buffs made me eventually does everything. I think the only debuffing I did was casting Chill on the big worm every turn. Matriarch spammed PoV, White Rose normal attacked and used her s3 (PPP) whenever it was up, Narwhal did the same with Water Festival and Baum used Shrine Dance and then once I started dodging she used Have Some More to top off my hp plus it hits weakness for more damage.

I wonder how much paralyze resist he gave his units for this strat. Surprised he used Jo but it worked out, maybe the constant INT debuff works as he cleanses debuffs every turn. I'll have to set the stones on the amulets and I can try to finish it before it closes when I get back from work. Maybe mix it up with Christmas Rei or Saruin if he manages to get the stats from the auto-farm I setup.

Fricking Sigfrei blueballed my progress until the paralysis and poison hit. Even then he stalled me to prevent full completion, got up to 198 and didn't have enough time. Hopefully there wasn't anything special at floor 200 because World Tower is next. I'll say this: most of the boss fights in SSG were too debuff dependent. Sigfrei would be a fun fight if it weren't for the extreme damage and limited ways to heal.

On top of the fact that she gets Very Large defense boost per turn (Should be 30% less damage) and a big dex buff.
Means her Rapid fire is actually 6 BP and Double Phoenix Arrow is actually 7 BP. In a Paen of Peace strat she's damn close to invulnerable.
Double Phoenix Arrow dunks on her Dex though but I'm fairly certain nobody else is getting fire damage that high on a loop like that. Phoenix Arrow is a 38 so presumably double is 76. Goes off on turn 1 and 3. Debuffs dex each use.

Katarina has what looks to be a 50% chance to chase any skill with watermeon cut, great END and Wil values, and our first Defense Down (should be 10-15% defense down).
Aside from her stupidly high defensive sturdiness, she has access to every single inherit from previous styles of which there are a lot.
Welfare SS gives her a 6 BP C power aoe she can loop 3 turns in a row (gleaming way it is not, but it's there)
Moulin Rouge probably triggers on both hits making the highest theoretical damage 74 or SSSS power. not bad all things considered.
Basically she's 'not dying' harder than Therese either. Takes 50% less damage.

Emerald, is a bit easier to understand. Starts agi dodging earlier against single target thanks to skill 3 -> 30%-22.5 -> -45% where it then plateaus. Single target better left to other people.
Where she shines is groups or aoe direct attacks. Guarantee counters with firestorm + which nukes AGI.
Can't be understated how stupidly good that can be.
Takes 25% less damage.
They're not game changers outside of maybe Emerald who absolutely stomps on m.arts monsters and mixed parties with casters. Kat's defense down can potentially let you do some cheeky bullshit when combined with GLEX Barbara.
Should also add that ITOKEN getting Ironwall VI (50% less damage) long term expands his use.
Have the styles from the ITOKEN banner changed as well? I managed to get all but him in 8 rolls. I pray to the gods I don't have tp pity.
think they added a str down to lobsters skill 2. You wouldn't be landing that shit on anything that matters but it's not all that bad after a few buffs with his 80% int mod. Valdor skill 2 heals himself. Real prize is still taking Vortex Breaker from his last style and slapping it onto this one for a turn 2 SS power Aoe.
Anyways, net wise we're almost there. Status effects aside, we only need one really good character that inflicts defense down and the GLEX units we've gotten, a good chunk of which are all survival specialists, will enable more types of cheeky attrition strats.
Tried 2 multis and got both Kat and Emerald, so it seems I got what is powerful. Thanks for the explanation anon.

Let's do the usual breakdown one by one
>Emerald
Probably the most interesting style in this banner, GLEX Emerald is a mixed defensive support style that is kind of unique as it has lots of different tools, it's a deceivingly complex toolkit.
Let's start off with her first passive, it's an automatic counter that makes her fire off Firestorm+, this is amazing for three different reasons.
1) Firestorm + is a C power Heat AoE, nobody in the game has anything like this, the closest will be Plat Human M which uses UDX Human M Skill 2, but that's a Blunt+Slash attack
2) Much like Human M, this is an invaluable tool for stopping any boss who loves to chain multiple direct attack together, this will stop any chain dead on, for free, even if the attack doesn't connect with Emerald and she dodges
3) Firestorm+ debuffs AGI, shouldn't need to explain why this is extremely valuable
Her second passive is Apollo's passive more or less, coupled with 70%END means Emerald can actually be kinda tanky, especially for a caster, again, very valuable.
Skill wise you have Beach wienertail+, Summer Ellen's skill, except this one lasts for 2 rounds, which is really great on manual as Emerald can give steroids to other people in the party at zero BP and build up for her Skill 3.
Skill 3 is basically a Heat+Sun, INT based Double Crash, which while not being super up to date as a nuke it still hits really thanks to Emerald's stats and passives AND keeps debuffing AGI, not to mention it only costs 8BP.
Inheritance wise you have other options to add versatility, such as Scorch for ST Instakill, Fireball+ or Fire Whip+ for ST heat and paralysis.
This Emerald's only weakness is lack of options for Auto patterns her rotations just aren't great on auto even if she buffs her INT with melee attacks, still it's a 9/10 easily, much better style than the Sapphire summer JP welfare.

As usual with GLEX styles, this is a style geared for future content of turtling battles of attrition.
Passive one is a large chance to chase with Watermelon Cut, which regens a good portion of HP even if it misses, considering this GLEX Kat can stack TWO HP regen effects with her skill 1 it is ridiculously strong as an option even if it's a dice roll, this means that Kat can potentially top herself off whenever she wants.
To this you add Ironwall Defense VI and the result is an extremely tanky style.
Crashing Wave Flash is a Row skill that inflicts Defense Down, but it's honestly not the most important part of this style, the best part of this style is being able to inherit the Alarm! skill from her old style in the Hilda banner so you can chase twice with Moulin Rouge AND watermelon cut for pretty massive damage on a 7>0>7 rotation, she's basically a less tanky but more offensive version of the recent Iskandar style, which is really, really good as Iskandar himself can currently fricking shred a lot of content on his own really easily, but lacks the DPS peaks of this GLEX Kat in exchange for being a bit more stable in performance and having better WIL capacity thanks to the stacking self buffs.
Overall another easy 9/10 with a bright future ahead, maybe 8/10 if you want to b***h about the inconsistent nature of dice rolls for Watermelon Cut but rest assured this is a very strong style for bossing even if it kinda sucks for farming.

Therese keeps being the only bow user who boldly dares to put up some resistence against Claudia supremacists.
Unlike the other two styles Therese is refreshingly straightforward, all she wants is damage and self sustain+buffing.
She has an effective 4BP rotation with a very small HP regen thanks to her passive 1, this alone puts her above the vast majority of bow users.
She has an Apollo equivalent for DEX stacking but with a VERY large defense boost, this is fantastic because again, it's geared for future content when you need people to have defensive capabilities.
Skill wise Solar Arrow+ helps DEX stacking on rotations and also covers Sun if you need it, with it Therese recovers 2BP every round she uses that.
Rapid Fire is a decent Row skill with dual coverage, and again, stacks DEX buffs even furthere.
Even more ridiculous is skill 3 which is Double Dark Blade for Pierce+Heat, but at 9BP, AND with more DEX stacking and a free heal, this is pretty much the best DPS skill any bow user can have right now, forget about Claudia entirely because Therese isn't taking it Thereasy anymore and she means business.
So yeah, pretty simple kit but tremendously effective for Pierce+Heat DPS on a DEX spot, considering bow users have the innate advantage of not caring about counters either, this means Therese is also pretty damn good.

Aw frick, I triggered the monkey's paw. I'm the FFLgay who's nervous about Haniwa/Final Defense System and the other two FFL banners coming up nextish. My prayers were answered and we got ITOKEN instead, so I can flush my chance at hammer simulation down the drain and skip to recover my israeliteels...but then they drop a triple GLEX summer swimsuit banner on us at the same time, just like last year. Last year's summer GLEX banner was my 2nd biggest disaster, having to go to a double pity dumping 90k on a banner only to get GLEX Elisabeth a zillion times with no Asellus or Roc. I'm nervous about testing my luck again, especially with only 40k.
The new GLEX styles seemed tuned for future content, but I'm hesitant because I already have what I need for all current content. They don't seem to shake things up or add much that's new other than being tankier. And perhaps worst of all, I had to skip the Katarina/Hilda banner so I don't have access to Alarm. It's Final Emperor all over again. I skipped GLEX Final Emperor because I skipped Termite Emperor. I never ended up needing Final Emperor for anything, but it still kinda stings.
I don't know what to do. My brain says skip both banners to ensure I have enough for my FFL stuff, the most important thing in the game for me, but my heart says I can try to pull on the GLEX banner and the Taiwan stream said nothing about FFL at all; it even mentioned a summer event going from July 6th to 20th, so there's no sign of FFL until end of July/start of August.
Frick, but I do like Therese and have always kept her stat capped.

The VH stages are no joke, counter turtles are not going to cut it this time around for most stages since they mixed up all resistances, guess they want people to understand how important Tiger Den turtling will be in the future.

That is a small question with a large answer that can't be fit in Ganker's word limit but I'll try to tl;dr.
Coming soon to global (who knows when), the next big mode will be added. In it, you must fight a boss that's weak to every damage type using teams made up only of styles using the same weapon (so there's sword simulation battles, greatsword simulation battles, hammer, etc). Future pulls and banners will be built around rounding out your roster based on weapon type and roles within that weapon type rather than elements or general roles like a tank, because now you can only bring your main tank to one of 10 versions of the boss fight.
Why do people care about simulation battles? They're the only way to get the materials to upgrade the new weapons, which will be the strongest weapons in the game. So the goal is to beat the boss with as many weapon themed teams as possible and then it'll reset monthly so you can get those upgrade mats all over again.
I've recently learned by studying the upcoming simulation bosses that having a solid team of a certain weapon type won't be enough; you need to cover a specific role with each boss. Termite Queen requires you to have someone who can paralyze. It doesn't matter who or if they're good at paralyzing; on the turn you need to do it, she debuffs her own WIL and paralyze resistance so much it's guaranteed. For Kzinssie you need a stun. And for Death Master you will need row/column nukes (like what the new GLEX Katarina is showing off hint hint).
Anyway, ITOKEN is *the* god tier support for a hammer team so if you have him you should be okay for hammer simulation battles. If you don't, like me, well, idk if you're fricked but it's gonna be a lot harder. Other than simulation battles, he doesn't seem worth it if you already have Matriarch plus GLEX PWR.

Generally speaking the future defensive meta will be less about stacking buffs and more about abusing party wide heals, dedicated cover styles like Mask and LP-less sources of party healing between skills and passives.
Nta but are we going to get passives that heal more than the itty bitty amounts they do now? I'm looking at Macha's for example, and how it has a chance to heal a bit over 100 hp every turn.
Yes and no, Very Small heals are still your mainstay and the trick will be stacking as many layers of them as possible, but there's also some more powerful heals available in the form of certain passives like OD heal passives, though GL already has something similar in the form of the Still Blade: Light buffs.
Another reason why people considering styles like Itoken or Macha top tier is precisely because they can stack those Very Small heals on top of other people's and do it consistently too, which will be very, very important later on.

Of one of the few videos on youtube for the UH2 quest, they run FOUR buffers. Narwhal, Matriach, White Genryu, Shen du, and Dahao for her initial DEX/AGI debuff in Rapid Stream.

People have been running these fights with weird ass teams, anon. So I'm pretty sure if you really stretch the imagination you'll figure it out.
I can dig lp less sources of healing but I was more talking about her shrine dance for guard up 50%. Having one more unit to stack a sick guard up who also doesn't have to worry about dying would be neat.
I know Xmas Fempress eventually gets that cut that'll let her heal the party every turn which'll be a nice steady stream of 370s/ish. And even without it will still be 180ish HP a turn. Which I could potentially use later.
Anyways ITOKENs s3 change make him more valuable in attrition strats than potentially Mat 2 and 3. Where as they heal 360/ish each turn when Paen of peace gets going and has 2 on demand heals, Itoken raw takes 40% less damage now. The only problem is ailments. An 84% Wil Mod isn't stopping him from eating shit to clowns soul freeze, for example so his S2 literally doesn't matter.
Status ailments be the big mind killer right now when it comes to me thinking of weenie strats to run. Fempress alone even with 4 stacks of peace can't 100% negate ailments on some fights. Needs either ND (who has no sustain) or PWR (who has slow sustain)
Still feels like there's a peace of the puzzle missing. Fempress with watermelon cut, GLEX Kat #2, GLEX Therese. All pretty damn stout survival specialist. But to get serious about the kind of formation that I want, need one more source of team damage reduction on a character who won't slowly die over a long fight.
Else the later two of that list get replaced with the more generally useful very small healers who when put together will be able to sustain themselves.

Also, unless you read the notice there's a subtle way they could frick you over with the Destiny 8 expedition event. Don't spend any tickets until 2 days from now. Even though the limited time expedition is available now, it's not until 2 days from now that the expedition will actually drop Concert Programs and at the same time an exchange will open where you can grab a new SS weapon and some other things.
Uhhhh and here I thought the VH summer trial 2 was cancer, 3 isn't looking any better.
I don't want to imagine the horror that is 5 with constant AGI debuffing and no hope for counter strategies either

Kat's in the 1600s for hp, I really did neglect her for a while. 1100s for Emerald, it's gonna take all week to get her up to snuff even with 4x gains. I think the last time I used Emerald was for clearing the very first Spiral Corridor back at launch. Had to deal with those annoying green-hair whirlwind fairies that were only weak to heat. Really happy to see her come so far.
I have no idea how to beat Summer Showdown 3 on VH.
There's no counter tactic that works, Golden Lion saved me on the previous stage but in this one it's a challenge to get Hannibal and Claudia down inbetween the absurd DPS, paralysis rolls and Final Empress healing any them, not to mention most of the stuff they use is indirect so it doesn't really trigger anything, Laura is useless because all of them are resistant to Pierce so her OP counter deflect is pointless, Forneus is the worst of the bunch.
Debuffs don't stick, it's a miracle if I can even get Byunei to hit them at all, besides they almost always kill me before I can even start buffing and debuffing.
Turtling in Tiger Den lets me kill Hannibal or Final Empress but then Silver goes apeshit with her AoE, Claudia inevitably paralyzes one or two people and I can't do anything about it.
Plat Human M would be great to have here but of course, he's not around for this, I'm really at a loss here, even Iskandar can't survive the onslaught and if Hannibal gets buffed by Final Empress he's somehow able to kill him too, or put him in the red.
Feels like these enemies on stage 20 of ITOKEN's event are kinda tanky; I'm doing less damage than I expected.

Don't think so, no, she doesn't really make sense in this scenario, a nearly capped Forneus can't hit for more than 19K on Maelstrom counters, Emerald will struggle to reach 10K on a C power counter.

Either buffs or debuffs, pretty sure those are buffs. You can long press on a character to see what effects they're currently under. It's useful for keeping track of buffs that last multiple turns, like Golden Baum's 2 turn large guard up from Shrine Dance that won't overlap/stack with her 2 turn mediium guard up from Kiai.

I probably did a dumb thing and rolled on reprint banner a bit too much, and now I have 30k coins.
First half went to FEmpress and rolling on the banner gave me mirsa, both kinds of pwr and apollo.
What do I get with other 15k coins? From reading this and previous threads I gather that Roc and xmas slime are rather good, but while I get the point of slime I'm a bit lost about Roc.
GLEX Roc is good because she has crazy passives and a crazy skill set.
Skill 1 can stun and costs 0BP
Skill 2 adds heat to her repertoire and also gives 1BP to the whole part.
Skill 3 is one of the craziest nukes in the game and completely tanks enemy INT too.
She's just insanely good and high value for future styles too.
But if you want a qrd on the other worthwhile styles from that banner:

The other OCs are mostly not worth it since their lifetime is over by now and won't get future styles, Madeleine is a very strong, but very risky STR slash/lightning DPS, she's probably the best of the bunch, the current on banner Valdor is better than this other Valdor even though he could benefit from Ki Meditation if you need a heal right there, right now, and [A mother's flowing love] Liz is a competent Cold nuker in a niche that has very little competiton, the rest you can completely disregard as they have either no value at all by now or very dubious value (I'd make a case for Glex Leonard for instance but it's a really weak one)

Depends entirely on who we're talking about.
Forneus or Aunus?
Neither really gets much from their previous styles, if anything at all.
Byunei or Alloces?
They almost always come with self sufficient packages but can get more versatility through inherits.
Final Empress?
Most of her value is in mixing and matching tools from her previous styles.
Apollo?
His current style is mediocre at best without his previous UDX so he gets to loop Masamune+ or switch to full AoE duty with Meteor Shower through inheritance.
The current Valdor or Boston in ITOKEN's banner?
Neither gets better by inheriting anything from their previous styles, they're complete and self sufficient packages.
Some characters in particular, like again Final Empress, are typed as "collectible" types that are more reliant on inheritance from the previous styles to work at peak performance, other characters like Apollo or Kami are fully reliant on their previous styles, while some other characters like Neidhart or Jamil on the other hand often come with self sufficient kits, there's also the case of characters who don't get new styles for a long while so when they get updated they're 99% not reliant on their previous styles at all, see the recent Summer Professor in JP for instance.
So in short, inheritance is, GENERALLY SPEAKING, very good value, but it's something that doesn't really follow strict rules and you can live without in most cases.

I was praying for some miracle that the dev would change the auto mechanism for him.
man, I'm dumb. I brought Creator to stop Fempress' crazy healing, but forgot to bring an INT buffer so he never landed a debuff and missed most of his spells. Basically did this with 4 party members but whatevs, wasn't nearly as bad as I expected. UH1 went down on the first try to Forneus, UH2 went down on the first try to my Ludwig team and UH3 went down on the first try with this Creator team (my "better" team ideas failed, hilariously enough).
I think I'll keep UH4 and UH5 for another day.
Kind of copied your Kami strat with a slightly different team and I must say, he was pretty damn effective, when he started actually getting those damn coin flip that is, and that took quite a few reloads, thanks to the GL buffs he's hell of a lot more reliable than he's in JP for bossing, getting 1BP back for each attack is really noteworthy.
UH4 was pretty similar except I put GLEX Annie as bait, took a couple of retries for the usual dice rolls but seems like counterfishing with GLEX Annie+Parry inherit is a really good strategy if you're lucky with RNG.
Tomorrow I'll try UH5.
There's nothing to change, he has a single attack skill, support skills and stances never go off on auto, ITOKEN's a fully manual support bot

I almost had it with an Asellus Desert Lance team; killed Baum, killed Vampy and if I had killed one of the axe girls I would've probably won but they focused down a character and it all fell apart. Asellus' s3 hits like a truck after a few buffs.
I don't have Coppelia but I have the rest of that squad. Seeing Asellus' damage on my last attempt, maybe it's possible for me to burst this down after all.

Turn 1, Fempress walls, Punishing fist for top and bottom, Macha uses 3 BP
Turn 2, Macha uses fast, Coppelia ODs, top (or bottom if you'd like) are now dead
Can't remember if final crusade is turn 4 or 5. Anyways you give Coppelia ki blast so she can kill Vampy earlier and OD Baum out of existence.

No yeah there it is. I don't recall that taking a lot of resets. But I think I OD'd Final Crusade turn 4 (or maybe 5, can't remember) and used a second Imperial Shield somewhere in there.
Both Alkaiser and Coppelia were using Full HP+ for that little bit of boost at the start since those axe chicks have to die immediately in a strategy like this or they reset you.
Nevermind my question about formation, hot damn it worked! Practically on the first try too, just had to reset once after an unlucky turn 1 charm from Vampy.

Yeah, GLEX events are pretty cool in how they stretch your brain and your roster. Must be rough for newfriends though. And I really hope we're able to get gold testaments from spiral corridor like JP soon; walling them behind the highest difficulties of GLEX events, the hardest events, is kinda brutal.

that's about the only thing I really don't appreciate.
Part of the game's charm is the rewards being inverse. So a person just starting out can get full marks from events and get all rewards.
While I didn't particularly have issues with this or Ludwig, they should really ease up on that. The current suptix that's going on right now makes the game significantly easier to sell to people right now, but full rewards on this event isn't newbie possible at all.
Anyhow I just realized we've never got a GLEX Axe user.
We've got multiple of every other weapon type but exactly 0 axe.
Given how stacked slashing is. It's for the best I'd wager. Unless said axe user is an uber support they'd get creeped out of control.

Aw jeez, you're right! It's my favourite weapon, so I just know they'd rope me into pulling. Hopefully it doesn't come this month; I'm so close to 45k for the SaGa 2 banner, which means I'm close to reviving my dream of being able to pull on the SaGa 3 banner.
I don't have that foreboding feeling in my gut anymore. Is what I want to say. There's at least one more curve ball in the near future but I expect the rest of this month to play out normally.

Frick, I can't get around the wall that is Emerald. A turtle team has to poke her and will get fricked by counters. A pierce team that nukes large chunks of her health can't survive the onslaught of damage. I just tried a variant turtle team with Roc to debuff INT (and a zero bp spell to poke) but she missed everyone, all the time. Ditto for trying to Chocoball with PWR on the same team, nothing but misses. That wasn't even with AGI debuffs from Emerald counters, I just flat can't hit them. Rapid Stream memes are out of the question as I don't have an aoe DEX debuffer.

idk how they can do that with a limited single heal that dips into LP from Imp Shield too and Mat only having 2 heals; I need SBL for my sustain comps. Oh wait, you probably have that one style of Femps that I'm missing that can heal or something iirc.

My pierce is and will always be fricked. I don't have either of those. Matter of fact, been playing since launch and I still don't have anyone that can hit hard with a spear.
I managed to kill Emerald at last, but it cost me everything. Back to the drawing board.
Emila can get Wedding Emilia's Skill 3 for a pierce nuke on guns, Claudia has Heartseeker+ and so do a couple of other people like Windy, the key is indirect pierce to avoid getting roasted, even without STR piercers there's other options, Valdor also has many indirect Pierce skills.
I'm trying Deadly Pierce with Emelia's Sweet Trap, Claudia and Therese (not summer)'s Heartseeker+ and Valdor's Drill Crusher with Baum in the back Shrine Dancing and it's just not enough deeps. Emerald lives with 40% hp turn 1, then everything crumbles turn 2. The issue is I need to commit so much of my team to kill the damn mage, there's nothing left for the other two massive threats.

Thanks, I was wondering how you survived turn 1 with no mitigation from Fempress or Baum; hopefully that'll do the trick. My OD doesn't seem to be charging nearly as fast as I'd like it despite eating nearly a dozen aoes on the first two turns.
The team in that image is aggressively tanky.
Fempress comes packaged with IIRC 25% from indomitable, and gives the entire team 20% from scrum guard
Therese reduces it damage by 35%
Baum's guard up is 50% for the entire team including herself

My wife is beautiful and very strong but is also weak to a good, single thrust, if you have people like Neidhart or Cody you can use indirect nukes like Arm of Light+ to hit her without triggering her Firestorm counter.
He was the supervisor for RnH, though honestly it's not a good game, easily one of the weakest games he was involved with.
Ichi-P already said he's not even considering other IPs for this game until the series receives "proper representation", there's Imperial SaGa: Eclipse for crossovers.
Besides nobody really cares about Rudra and I don't think Kawazu cares either, though he recently said he would like to go back to Racing Lagoon in some measure

Bit of a shame since I happen to like that game a lot. Not as open as saga but I happen to like the world and how 4 main characters progressed , seeing how they appear in each others stories several times. The game was another experiment that definitely needed more fine tuning but there were little nuggets that were cool to find if you explored thoroughly. Balance was broken when you figured out how Mantras work since you could get absurdly powerful early in each quest if you had access to powerful dungeons early (Surlent path was extremely exploitable for this.)
I'm playing grind catch up for these events, managed to beat romancing Nacht first try before closing, and now grinding out characters in the goddess event. Big thing I want right now is raising fire-attacker stats, skill ranks, and more importantly, the max health since I noticed my characters having high stats but the max health is always lacking. Plus, I get to raise skill ranks for the new Emerald and Saruin since their stronger AOE attacks are lacking in them. (Seekers Cave came in a bad time for me, damn IRL.)
I have an odd question, was Kawazu involved with the game Rudra no Hihou? Considering this game has a massive following, I thought they would try to get their other IPs involved.
Aw frick, the AGI debuff onslaught. I don't think accuracy stones can counter 7 AGI debuffs in a couple turns. Strangely, I was hitting her just fine in that previous attempt.

Aw shit. I've finally figured out how to beat Emerald with relative ease, but Katarina is fricking invincible. Watermelon Cut keeps bringing her to full, my turtle team doesn't have the damage to hurt her.
After you kill Emerald you can switch Matriarch buffing to Paean of Victory to stack END, no need to stack Paean of Peace to outheal the firestorm spam, it's best to stack END instead.
If you have swimsuit Claudia you can also alternate Lacerate with Healing Arrow as that will damage both Emerald and Therese pretty heavily.
The battle is something of a domino effect, first you need to take care of Emerald, then it's either Katarina or Therese, as soon as either goes down then you got this, but it will take a couple of retries.

Frick! For some reason the enemy damage spiked after Emerald died even thought I was now END buffing with both Mama and Blob. And this was a run with no Watermelon Cuts, I thought I might actually do it. Confound it all, this is the first time in who knows how many months I feel I need six or seven party slots instead of five.
I need more healing, Mariah's extremely unreliable passive is not nearly enough. But there just isn't room in the party. I take out anyone at all, it's a fail.
I don't understand. Somehow, with this very unusual gun team, I managed to kill Katarina. And then 2 or 3 turns later, Therese's Barrage Shot hit for thousands of damage when it was only doing a few hundred before. This should not be impossible, it defies the way this game works. No LP to left to revive people so that's GG (but really BG).
Mariah can outtank Therese by soaking hits, restoring back to full with Skill 3 and then get a guaranteed hit with OD, don't give up, that's how I won.
She slaughtered me next turn with a Searing Rapid Volley did double damage because Scrum Guard was gone (again, that's not how math works when I was only losing 20% mitigation, wtf).

I don't think I OD'd at all that run. Weird stuff.
END buffing from PoV seems to do nothing, so I went back to Shining Glory for that emergency heal. Trying again with my gun team 'cause it's the only one that covers the insane laundry list of things I need to fulfill just to function in this satan's butthole of a fight. Now I can't get past Emerald though, I'm tilted hard. The more I play, the less passives seem to activate.
Taking blunt for katarina is a trap in my opinion. Emerald dying and then killing therese as fast as humanly possible with as many indirect slashes as humanly possible is safer.
Well, somehow I made it work! I killed them in order, leaving Therese for last, and somehow it all came together. Thank you to all the anons who tried helping me with advice. I'm glad to win using ZEKE and my girl Em, I couldn't have done it without either of them. Barrage Program really shone here, doing tons of damage to Kat and bypassing Therese's heavy resistance to all of my physical (pierce/blunt) damage. It was my first time using these prefecture styles to clear hard content.
I also gotta voice my appreciation for Matriarch 3.0. A lot of people, including me, slept on her 'cause the stats she buffs with Peace aren't as good as the ones she buffs with Victory. But with this new meta, I'm finding Peace to be far more valuable. It especially stood out here because my two sources of damage were DEX-based, meaning it kept up my accuracy and ramped up my damage while also slightly increasing my heals across the board. I ignored this style from its release until near the end of World Tower, but I've been using it ever since.

SaGa Soul Therese gives her good AoE options but they're arguably only relevant for weapon trials, not really vital at all and can be fixed through bottomless pools/suptix in the long run.
SaGa Soul Narcisse is kinda worthless, you can put his Skill 3 on Plat Narcisse at best, but Plat Narcisse is still far away and more focused on the casting DPS part so this particular style is not all that valuable, especially when he's directly competing with GLEX Therese for a pierce nuking spot on DEX slots, something GLEX Therese, Claudia and many other styles do tremendously better than Narcisse.
I really wish Shin Megami Tensei had a mobile game as good as this one rather than the PvP-only trash we have

Wanted to ask in the new thread but I guess I'll have to ask here: is there even a point to grinding treasure maps for a veteran player? The main story stat cap is ass and the only thing you get from maps worth mentioning is plat tickets, which I have thousands of (and am only missing Arthur).
I wanna just keep grinding the Seaside Cave event for best stat gains and clearing the shop.
Gold pieces is pretty much all you're getting out of it. If you've pulled a lot of units recently (which is a fairish assumption given we've had back to back to back double banners) you might be getting low on pieces
