Claydol, Golurk and Runerigus should all be Rock Type. None of these mons are based on soft moldable clay, they are based on the finished hardened clay. By which point it is a brick, something you build houses with. It's a damn rock.

I mean I guess I don't know if about clay, but I do know its finished state is hard and Pokemon Types largely distinguish themselves by their physical properties and physical interactions. If finished clay is very hard and non-moldable it should probably be Rock
I have a feeling we'll be seeing a windfall of not-current-game characters getting alts given how unaesthetically pleasing a lot of Paldea's girls are.
Paldea has a handful good ones.
If they want to do more older characters then I'm worried that they'll just repeat characters that already have multiple variants like the protags.
I've mentioned this a lot of times. If we go for unique characters, Paldea is alright - Miriam, Dendra, Katy, Raifort, the Team Star chicks, Rika, Nemona even. And while Iono and Penny aren't my taste, they appeal to someone at least.
Problem is that all of above aside Nemona and Penny apprear once or twice in the entire story; all you'll see for most of the gameplay is generic NPCs. And it's the generic npcs who are fugly.

Between her gym appearances and the test before her battle Rika even has plenty of screen time.

I mean her design and cool personality are what makes her but I suppose showing up a lot helps too
