Sex addicts aren't some genetic twist. Kill them all and you'll still get more. It's overdoing a basic good, just like every vice.
It's not about them taking the D, it's because they're essentially the same character every fricking time. You can do pure virginal waifus and make them something other than clueless, simpering schoolgirls.
But then, this is an issue that stems from romance in RPGs, pick-a-hole systems are always shit. If the romance isn't set in the story, it can frick off.
Tired of this too. I don't want bland fapbait for weeboids. I want grand displays romance between characters and sometimes that means having flawed people.
It's what I liked about in Tales of Arise, where that guy started talking shit about Shionne and Alphen just decks the c**t. You can have scenes like this where a relationship is actually blooming in relation to the story and not to whether or not flags have been marked in the game code.
There's a whole meme in Japan about guys that freaked out over one of the girls in a visual novel having had a boyfriend before dating you. One of them took a pic of his hate mail and snapped the game disc in half. Figure Japan game companies are a bit gun shy about there being used goods in there games since then.

No, it's about being this specific archetype of a pure, perfect, untouched virgin that wasn't even looked at by another man, has no idea about sex, has no idea about flirting, and probably doesn't even know where children come from.
So you'd be fine with a virgin if it were a frustrated femcel, a yandere, a political lesbian who was raised to hate men(but MC grows to be her one exception) and/or a cultist who needs to stay pure to avoid being killed by her patron on holy days?

Ah, the old paradox: "I don't enjoy losing to a difficult boss fight even though those fights are the most memorable and satisfying in the long run."
Games should just put the "innocent childhood friend(virgin) who will always fall for you" waifu as an option in the game for casuals in addition to the harder ones.

> I also hate minmaxers but that’s not really developers fault
Levelling.
People don't have levels. They're an unnatural mechanic, and an unnecessary distraction. And the very existence of levelling can cause critical problems with game balance (looking at you, Oblivion).
Instead, RPG reward systems should be geared towards the things fictional heroes genuinely want and quest for: wealth, power, fame, vengeance, true love, esoteric secrets etc.
I liked Age of Decadence system. It has no experience. Your HP doesn't change, you don't level - just improve certain skills. And skills are divided into combat and civil, you won't become better orator from swinging sword and killing enemies. And you won't become killing machine from doing quests not involving fighting.
>playing final fantasy game >no idea how much I'm supposed to grind before bosses >the difference between grinding 3 levels and not is like getting into a fistfight while wearing concrete gloves vs getting into a fistfight with a toddler
Inane companion banter.
Try-hard choice&consequence (organic c&c emergent from robust systems is fine, reddit moral dilemmas that branch the story not so much)
Painful would’ve benefited greatly from proper party interactions. It’s one of the few things that other LISA games like Hopeful and Pointless got much better.
I think at this point I'm really tired of dating sim stuff in games. They tend to be kind of shallow and because the games are designed around you picking your character they can't write the overall plot to expect you to have any one choice which makes the relationships overall more shallow.
This is fine if you get a special reward or dialogue for beating the other guy and there's a reason they suddenly win out of the gameplay. So like them powering up or something is fine but if you win a battle and the game just comes back with it treating it like you've lost, it's dumb
Games that give you the "choice" of refusing to hand over the macguffin or surrender to the bad guys or trade away all your gear, but make it clear that the game'll do it anyway immediately after (or worse, just fricking kill you for making a Wrong choice). It'd be less frustrating to not have that option in the first place.
>I have to do this alone
NO YOU FRICKING DON'T, THE ENTIRE FRICKING WORLD IS AT STAKE AND YOU'VE GOT A PARTY OF WARGODS WHO WOULD LITERALLY DIE FOR YOU
Dumbed down mechanics on the outside with extremely obscure formulas inside. Worst case it's something like >attack increases your damage >defence increases your defence >crit rating determines your crit chance >you have no idea how these parameters actually work
Also I hate >revenge bad
Etrian Odyssey is REALLY bad about this, some attacks are ridiculous and some are fricking useless but because you can't see the modifiers you overlook the best options.
>I want girls that fricked a bunch of other people, no I do NOT want them to be pure
Only pedos and woman beaters care about being there first.
Etrian Odyssey is mostly pretty good about skill damage making sense even if you don't get exact percents, though. If it costs a lot of TP it probably does good damage. If its TP cost goes from 3 to 9 to 17 as it levels, it probably scales well.
There are a handful of cases like EOV's Clever Strike where it costs nothing to use but actually does massive damage, but those are pretty rare.
Irish/Celtic shit, if all traces of celt shit was removed every game and indeed even the entire genre of fantasy would be much better, I don't give a shit about the celts nor their myths and religions so stop putting it in games please.
> endgame armor that you've spent a good time collecting and building is completely worthless because endgame enemies ignore armor > being a glass cannon is the only viable build > "evade random encounters" skill doesn't actually decrease the chance of random encounters but now you have to spam "no" every time you move an inch > random encounters are just enemy starting first and deleting you in a single turn > hunger mechanics > critical hits are the only part of combat that matters > actual critical hit effects beyond great damage like dropping the weapon or being crippled are exceedingly rare > critical hit chance is only good in weapons that are already great without crits
"Morally Grey"Choices that are basically: >Choice A in which consequence A happens >Choice B in which consequence B happens >Perfect Choice C in which everything turns out fine because you got a bunch of points in your persuasion stat!
I'd even take generic good choice evil choice instead of that.
Just "grey morality" in general. >one side is evil, the other is constantly tempted to be just as bad (never actually does anything bad) >both are right (they're tribalists buttholes unable to communicate at all) >bad but sad
In some games, it's justified - Baldur's Gate 1, your death means you lose the battle to inherit Bhaal's power, and are reduced to dust. Persona 3, your body houses one of the pieces of Nyx, so your death means the apocalypse can begin in earnest.
Most Shin Megami games. The demons are only with you because you are strong and its good for them. If you die then youve proven them wrong and they leave you.
Beginning as a weakling or disgraced badass and climbing up the shitpile, with the help of friends, rng, and a lonely narrative looking for a protagonist. >0RPGJ captcha

being fastest way to win because this way you do not risk dieing and loading to pre fight again
Inane companion banter.
Try-hard choice&consequence (organic c&c emergent from robust systems is fine, reddit moral dilemmas that branch the story not so much)
Thought Lisa the Painful did a good job of having super serious choices.
Painful would’ve benefited greatly from proper party interactions. It’s one of the few things that other LISA games like Hopeful and Pointless got much better.
Aren't there like thirty guys you can collect?
Yeah, but once you get them they basically have no interactions outside of being a battle tool and showing up at the very end of the game.
Hopeful had campfire scenes that gave each member more personality and even vary based on route.
Pointless kept the party very small and the bond between Alex & Joel is a main focus of the game, so that gets a lot of attention.
I think at this point I'm really tired of dating sim stuff in games. They tend to be kind of shallow and because the games are designed around you picking your character they can't write the overall plot to expect you to have any one choice which makes the relationships overall more shallow.
None I like them all.
missable story events
>outplay opponent in gameplay
>they gain the upper hand in a cutscene
This is fine if you get a special reward or dialogue for beating the other guy and there's a reason they suddenly win out of the gameplay. So like them powering up or something is fine but if you win a battle and the game just comes back with it treating it like you've lost, it's dumb
Games that give you the "choice" of refusing to hand over the macguffin or surrender to the bad guys or trade away all your gear, but make it clear that the game'll do it anyway immediately after (or worse, just fricking kill you for making a Wrong choice). It'd be less frustrating to not have that option in the first place.
>I have to do this alone
NO YOU FRICKING DON'T, THE ENTIRE FRICKING WORLD IS AT STAKE AND YOU'VE GOT A PARTY OF WARGODS WHO WOULD LITERALLY DIE FOR YOU
Experience points.
Frick experience points, frick skillpoints, frick that shit.
Dumbed down mechanics on the outside with extremely obscure formulas inside. Worst case it's something like
>attack increases your damage
>defence increases your defence
>crit rating determines your crit chance
>you have no idea how these parameters actually work
Also I hate >revenge bad
Etrian Odyssey is REALLY bad about this, some attacks are ridiculous and some are fricking useless but because you can't see the modifiers you overlook the best options.
Every character being a prostitute with a personality worse than the average western woman and more focus on lgtv shite than the average pride parade.
>more focus on lgtv shite than the average pride parade.
Or neither
Quest where you need to find out what you did when you were drunk.
Irish/Celtic shit, if all traces of celt shit was removed every game and indeed even the entire genre of fantasy would be much better, I don't give a shit about the celts nor their myths and religions so stop putting it in games please.
>wizard
>glass cannon in robe
>can't lift anything heavier than his magic stick
>Game revolves around you making choices
>They ultimately don't matter in the end or have actual little effect on the game
>player character is not a defined identity like geralt or adam jensen
>forced to be white anyway
time to open gimp
> endgame armor that you've spent a good time collecting and building is completely worthless because endgame enemies ignore armor
> being a glass cannon is the only viable build
> "evade random encounters" skill doesn't actually decrease the chance of random encounters but now you have to spam "no" every time you move an inch
> random encounters are just enemy starting first and deleting you in a single turn
> hunger mechanics
> critical hits are the only part of combat that matters
> actual critical hit effects beyond great damage like dropping the weapon or being crippled are exceedingly rare
> critical hit chance is only good in weapons that are already great without crits
>crit rate can reach 100%
>critical damage can be scaled
They're just regular hits at that point
"Morally Grey"Choices that are basically:
>Choice A in which consequence A happens
>Choice B in which consequence B happens
>Perfect Choice C in which everything turns out fine because you got a bunch of points in your persuasion stat!
I'd even take generic good choice evil choice instead of that.
Sometimes they turn it around and Choice C gives you the consequences of A & B without any of the benefits
Id rather have that tbh.
just wanna watch the world burn around me, can't have that these day.
omfg did a filter just turn my 'to be honest' into a tranime word, god wtf is up with these fat fricks that does this shit for free.
Figures a clueless newbie jumps in on a discussion about cheesy C&C.
holy newbie
>unironically using "tranime"
go leave you fricking newbie
You're a tranime fan, go this way Wrong board
Just "grey morality" in general.
>one side is evil, the other is constantly tempted to be just as bad (never actually does anything bad)
>both are right (they're tribalists buttholes unable to communicate at all)
>bad but sad
>WHEN LEAD PARTY MEMBER DIES IT'S GAME OVER
as if everybody else becomes fricking autistic and can't fight for themselves afterwards
If you die then youve proven them wrong and they leave you.
prisoner's dilemma and towers of hanoi
This increase in JRPGs of scenes that are just there to be coomer fanservice scenes.
>the friendly old guy you meet at the start of the game who introduces you to the story ends up being evil
>defeat him
>find out he only became evil to help prepare you for the greater evil
Beginning as a weakling or disgraced badass and climbing up the shitpile, with the help of friends, rng, and a lonely narrative looking for a protagonist.
