It's a shame we can't get good games like Darklands anymore. There's the tech to make amazing games these days. Too bad it's all wasted on troony movie simulators.

Nah,Gothic 1 was fine.G3 tried to be far bigger that it should have been.The map should have been half the size and they should have focused on Myrtana and the north.
Gothic 1 was intended as a mutiplayer game.
Diego, Gorn, Lester and Milton were the player classes.

Morrowind. It was many, many years before computers were powerful enough to run it well.
I don't know that 2 or 3 is "many".

Darklands isn't really overscoped for what it does, the dungeon crawling just really fricking sucks
Morrowind and Warband. As for non-RPGs but with fantasy art direction, Sacred 2 and Severance: Blade of Darkness.
