What's the game in the lower left?
Act of Aggression, which was an attempt at resurrecting Act of War, sadly they overcomplicated things by attempting to add a AoE economy, they backpedaled later but by then the damage was done. They also suffered of e-sport-wannabe nerfed economy syndrome.

So which is it?
Obviously Supreme Commander, updating with new tech to perfect game performance and increase unit limit.
Either DoW because it would redeem the honour of the franchise or Emperor because it's the most out of date.
SupCom isn't an option because it's already good enough.
>SupCom isn't an option because it's already good enough.
No, it needs better pathfinding.
I'm a huge C&C3gay, but Emperor: Battle for Dune needs a remaster way more than it does. Its tech is ancient.
>just visual upgrade
>gameplay is still lackluster shit.
Universe at war but mostly because I love games with very different factions.
Seconding Universe at War. The game was conceptually really cool but maybe could have used a few more months of polishing.
i'm an idiot, what's top right?
also i would go with Tib Wars/Kane's Wrath since it was my first RTS
the scrin need a longer campaign, damnit
You're not, that's just Earth 2160, it's not really worth remembering. And instead of a remaster it needs a burial.
Do you guys think DoW is worth playing these days? I never played it back in the day and it doesn't seem like absolute asiaticclick
dawn of war 1 (base game) is my favorite RTS campaign out of all the RTS games i've played.
There is basically no basebuilding and economy in game. It's all fast battles and microing units since the very start of the game. 2-3 minutes in and you are already fighting your opponent.
It's worth playing and holds up well, but it is also a asiaticclick sorry.
There are some Koreans who play DoW with 300+ apm. Almost any rts game can be played with that style, and likewise every rts game can be played at a relaxed pace. Games never demand high apm and frantic perspective shifting, that is an optional playstyle.
CnC3 and Emperor, but with previous entries' campaigns ported into the 3d engine.
None I would rather get an Earth 2150 Remake
Harem. The best thing that could ever happen to any genre is a well-executed crossover. Look at Super Smash and Capcom vs ___ games.
More than a visual update, DoW1 needs new pathfinding.
C&C3 and Dawn of War need a remaster treatment the least as they hold up pretty well even today.
>Emperor
It could use it but even when "fixed" it'd mostly end up playing like the later 3d CnC's. The excellent soundtrack and IP are the main reasons to try and breathe life into this one.
>Earth 2160
Despite recognizing it instantly, it just... wasn't all that fun and didn't have enough stand out concepts to warrant a burning desire to remaster it. You'd basically need to make a whole new game.
>Act of Aggression
Never actually played it.
>Universe at War
This is the one that feels the most justified to try and give the remastered treatment. Lots of cool ideas and nearly all the necessary components to make something excellent are there, it was just knee capped by some truly horrible decisions on Sega's part and needing a bit more polish, like making the Heirarchy walkers not control like absolute dogshit.
>even when "fixed" it'd mostly end up playing like the later 3d CnC's
That's what it should be, at its core it's TibWars and BfME, but in space and with more sand.
If anything esle the OST was Frank doing his magic:
A remaster of UaW adding humans would be very welcome.
When I saw it in a physical gaming journal (imagine that) for the first time I always expected it to be some War of the Worlds kind of scenario (except anime robots also show up). Instead we got that Annunaki faction with ugly units and the tacked on light/shadow gimmick. It's like you can see a graph going from Hierarchy to Novus to whatever the frick the third one was called where good design and ideas start dropping like crypto.
You're right about that. The Masari seemed rushed out or something.
>C&C3
Good as it is, I'd rather nobody touched it.
>Earth 2160
Isn't Earth 2150 where the series picked? Given the modern climate alarmism you'd probably be able to sell that one pretty well today.
>Emperor BfD
Not happening, here's your dogshit Northgard clone instead. That being said, part of the charm is in how early zeroes RTS it is, if the game looked even like it came out in 2007 it would lose that charm.
>Act of Aggression
I'd rather have an Act of War remaster, since I'm pretty sure you still can't play it without RAM shenanigans
>UaW
Remaster won't do since the base game wasn't actually good enough. You'd have to remake it completely, and given that Petroglyph's output has only worsened since then I doubt they could improve on it.
>DoW
It needs a proper new entry, not a remaster or a remake
