Future Connected is a decent epilogue and who the frick dislikes Torna?
The gameplay alone is better than base 2 by all measures and the game has important backstories for multiple side characters and one main one.
I really don't think Torna adds anything of value, we knew about the battles against Malos, what happened do Jin and Lora and that Torna was destroyed in said war.
Did we really need to know that there was another evil guy helping Amalthus rise the ranks or about Laura's terrible father.
As for the gameplay they mostly remove shit from it, the only good thing is that now you can play as the blades
