2007 was a year of "Angels of Death"s. games that were good but brought a lot of terrible practices into the industry
>COD 4 was great but started the trend of brown and piss FPS slop >Assassin's Creed was OK but started the trend of Ubisoft open world sandboxes >Oblivion was good but started microtransactions
Yeah and it was fricking sick at the time, homosexual. I think the game is borderline unplayable now but he fact that it got sequels at all is proof it was well received you contrarian tard.

Dude, I was genuine - 47 + PoP was the shit, and the gameplay was even better than expected.

Oh okay fair enuff, my bad mate, yeah it was awesome, but for me personally it's hard to go back, as I discovered recently.
That shit was mostly ignored, but it enabled the practice which was fortified by mobile gaming, practice that spilled over to our shores thanks to Minecraft (early access) and Fortnite (MTs, season passes, paywalls & skins & lootboxes)
picrel is all you need to know, follow the money - easiest example is Diablo, greed killed it alongside many others. Greed & blindness ... that's why the newest Star Wars is like $150, ESG-infested & probably with an item shop.
I’m really hoping this is all the ER DLC will be. But something overtop kino like armour that really looks like the premier Jap team spent 2 years making.
That wasn't Todd, it was Xbox actually the ones who came with the idea to Bethesda to promote their new "microtransactions" idea for the Xbox 360 store.
shut the frick up baby boy i love my fortnite skins

they don't make kino like they used to
Having to slow walk the entire time was fricking tedious.
it must’ve been a fluke, how did they do it? make one incredible game and then a dozen increasingly shit sequels
>Oblivion, COD 4, ME1, Halo 3, Bioshock and the invention of the smartphone was 17 years ago

let me guess, this is somehow the zoomers fault

>mostly ignored

WHO'S LAUGHING NOW
Do you think he ever regrets this cardinal sin, or do you think he's proud of it?
AHEM

Let's not pretend like someone else wouldn't have made something stupid in it's place if Todd hadn't.
>blaming Oblivion
Companies were talking about offering content to be purchased online back in 2000s for the PS2
And since people are moronic, the current state of monetization was inevitable.
