Basically you turn it on and your reticle now moves to wherever the bullet is going
There is no separation of players with it on and off
Pros are already finding it like cheating. Its LITERALLY a feature in hacks ffs
>Pros are already finding it like cheating. Its LITERALLY a feature in hacks ffs
How is it any different in a mechanical sense, you still have to counteract the pattern if you want to hit shit, do you not? Or is it simply because your screen doesn't suffer from Parkinson's every time you want to hit a fricker?
Okay then, since I don't play CS, let me ask two questions before we can continue:
Are spray patterns static? As in, every gun has the same spray pattern.
What standing/crouching/moving affects in regards to spray patterns?
>Are spray patterns static? As in, every gun has the same spray pattern.
Yes >What standing/crouching/moving affects in regards to spray patterns?
Moving makes the gun pretty much impossible to use. Crouch / stand is almost the same.
>Moving makes the gun pretty much impossible to use. Crouch / stand is almost the same.
That's not an answer. I know that you can't hit shit while moving, I want to know why specifically, what it does to spray patterns. Makes them random, makes bullets so far apart so you can't hit or what?
>Are spray patterns static? As in, every gun has the same spray pattern.
Yes >What standing/crouching/moving affects in regards to spray patterns?

spray pattern and bullet spread are not the same thing
you can think of it as accuracy vs precision
the spray pattern always stays the same no matter the conditions its just a constant
bullet spread is always in play, even on the first bullet but to a very low degree, unnoticeable unless you test on unrealistic distances you won't ever encounter ingame and as you move or jump the bullet spread increases
it's also why even though there are patterns no two spreads are gonna look exactly the same unless you force them to (see commands for that below)
the spread calles so because of the reticle spread as the cone of possible bullet locations increases around your point of aim (your crosshair becomes the big crosshair when you move)
tldr your shooting ingame is always accurate but never precise
you can see it ingame by typing the following in console
sv_cheats 1
weapon_accuracy_nospread true
>Are spray patterns static? As in, every gun has the same spray pattern.
Yes >What standing/crouching/moving affects in regards to spray patterns?

said, every gun uses a different spray pattern, but there is only 1 (one) for any given gun.
kek this everyones a frickin cheater nowadays it sounds like they are mad people are upping the bar that makes the line much thinner between a pro and an average player
They dont want to get exposed. If they turn on the feature people will be able to see the crosshairs locking on to people and not moving at all. I expect pros will vehemently avoid using this feature at all. Despite it "giving you an advantage". A real pro would use every advantage afforded to them.
Its more of a learning tool than a crutch. By the time you see your crosshair moving the fight is already over and someone is dead. If you don't having the patterns memorized its not going to help you unless your opponent is also a noob
>Valve makes it easier to learn the spray patterns by giving them an optional visual indicator >Pros seethe and cry about it
NOOOO WE SPENT TEN YEARS LEARNING THESE PATTERNS AND NOW JUAN PLAYING CASUALLY FOR FUN MIGHT BE ABLE TO LEARN THEM TOO
Never understood why your bullets literally not going where you aim was supposed to be a good thing, its like "oh no, there is an option to fricking see where you're aiming without autistically memorizing what random location the developers arbitrarily chose for your next bullet to be programmed to go, how awful!"
It won't change anything at the top level because everyone at the top level already knows where the bullet will go as they've memorized it anyway, if you think you're losing because your opponent is actually being told where they're fricking aiming then you're a dipshit.
Learning spray patterns is a form of skill expression. It means your experience and practice gives you an edge over people who haven't bothered to learn them. Not sure why this concept is so controversial.
This is the exact kind of thing that exposes mid level gamers. It allows the noobs those losers usually beat up on to feel better about themselves actually have a chance and in no way effects high level players.
>people think this will be the end of the game >gets added during beta >turns out its not a big deal past mid level games because people already learned spray patterns >youtuber releases bait video 3 months later
And now there's homosexual OP
No issue, its just a way to help new players, shitters like to complain that those rubberbands to help new players make the game easier, but SF6 introduced a easier combo movements but still the 80% of EVO were classic chuds and the EVO champion was a classic chud.
>SF6 introduced a easier combo movements but still the 80% of EVO were classic
Because Modern combos do less damage. And in the end you only need to learn like 4 or 5 sequences. You can master it in a week labbing and playing casually.
Spray patterns are garbage. Battlefield 4 style arcade bullet ballistics are better. Some guns shoot faster bullets, some shoot slower bullets etc. It's fun to play with.
The "I am on my thirties I want to chill with mah videogames after work" is code for I've been fat my whole life. I am thirty myself and nothing changed since I was on my twenties.
Saying "X is code for Y" is code for "I'm extremely insecure/traumatized about Y so I'm going to project it onto random strangers." is code for being a gay.
Did those idiots finally realised that spray patters are moronic and just made so your gun actually follows the patterns instead of being pic related?
Basically you turn it on and your reticle now moves to wherever the bullet is going
There is no separation of players with it on and off

Good, let them seethe at Valve for adding a basic QoL feature.

Honestly, I do not know.
I would say it increase massively the randomness while making the the accuracy cone bigger.

Pros use aimbots so I'm not sure what they're complaining about

Yup, just leveling the playing field.
They dont want to get exposed. If they turn on the feature people will be able to see the crosshairs locking on to people and not moving at all. I expect pros will vehemently avoid using this feature at all. Despite it "giving you an advantage". A real pro would use every advantage afforded to them.
nobody is using it because it's distracting unless you're new to the game and don't understand spray patterns
We need to go further. Static spray patterns are fricking moronic, make it random as it should be.
Literally no one is complaining about it. Any player worth their salt has the patterns perfectly memorized.
Its a meme feature for newbies.
Good
Eat shit
Its more of a learning tool than a crutch. By the time you see your crosshair moving the fight is already over and someone is dead. If you don't having the patterns memorized its not going to help you unless your opponent is also a noob
You're not even 20 years old
>counterstrike
More like count the seconds until I strike you for playing this pile of shit
this was already an option in csgo
No, it wasn't. You are mistaking it.

It's a moronic concept that is kept alive by a huge gambling scene.
Learning spray patterns is a form of skill expression. It means your experience and practice gives you an edge over people who haven't bothered to learn them. Not sure why this concept is so controversial.
the same people that think that basic crosshair placement is wallhacking
Okay? Now the game has a built in tool to tell you what the spray patterns are instead of making you guess
Yeah that's fine
What sens is best?
This is the exact kind of thing that exposes mid level gamers. It allows the noobs those losers usually beat up on to feel better about themselves actually have a chance and in no way effects high level players.
it feels way worse to use this and it isnt much of an advantage at all.
competitive sweaty no lifer "pros" seethe at random aim cone over muscle memory spray patterns they can learn and script their mouse for
>people think this will be the end of the game

Couldn't be me.
I'll be over here having fun in Titanfall 2.
>Couldn't be me.
>I'll be over here having fun in this abandoned building
>boo hoo I can't wait 20 seconds between matches
I'm 30 years old. If anything I need a few seconds after a match to relax.
The "I am on my thirties I want to chill with mah videogames after work" is code for I've been fat my whole life. I am thirty myself and nothing changed since I was on my twenties.

Very ironic post
Saying "X is code for Y" is code for "I'm extremely insecure/traumatized about Y so I'm going to project it onto random strangers." is code for being a gay.
It'll hit you when you least expect it
My momma is almost 60 and she is fitter than I am.
gem
Maybe counter-SHIT should have some REAL ballistics instead of this dogshit spray pattern nonsense.
