I 100% agree with nexusmods decision to make uploads permanent, but it really fricked the so many modding communities

how is it any different from people locking their mods behind forums where you had to pay to register or asslick 100 posts before you're worthy enough

That hasn't been the case for a long while with nexus, moddb, curseforge, etc

Those were rare and you usually had some alternative to ponying up 10bux. And at least forums had a fricking working search function.

discord has a search function, but I wouldn't expect someone who complains about things they've never used to know.

The worst one is the last point and I’ve seen it too may times. There was this troony named “IwannafrickSCP” that was given admin privilege to the first ready or not modding server. It had mods from authors that had left and gone at the time only hosted links there. Little troony got mad because people were calling him out for being mentally ill and being a c**t. Someone told him to delete it and the troony did. Also having it on discord too allows unhinged pussys who think their “work” is copyrighted or something so when they abandon their mod and someone attempts to continue it because the original author was being a little pussy they can completely wipe it from existence.

I'd like it if discord's staff would stop banning me. There are 30 year old moids on even "based" servers who say that watching pedo cartoons made by males for males “hwelped them wealize they’re a pwetty gwurl uwu” and staff says I’m not allowed to cyberbully them???? outrageous. i reject it. full steam ahead.

Modding communities already tend to be stupid cliques because modders are doing it without any monetary compensation so they at least expect some praise and respect to get them going, which isn't a bad thing by itself, but then people get obsessive over being praised and then they feel some sort of praise starvation if they don't get a fulfilling enough amount which makes them angry. Discord tends to make that habit significantly worse because you can hear praises far more often and thus people get used to higher amounts of praise, making the lack of praise even worse.

Everything is temporary anon. Eventually people will stop reuploading a file, a server will get nuked or corrupted, a file will get modified and that will replace the original, etc.

I've seen countless mods, images, memes, videos, songs disappear or have quality loss, unpopular and popular alike.

    Enjoy things while they last.

NTAs, but that isn't the point you stupid cumbucket. It's our shit and they don't need to know about it. Even if you don't care or have nothing to hide, you must be as autistically annoying as possible to ~~*These homosexuals*~~ and resist to the 0th hit point.

Out-israelite the israelite, or at least outlast them. Oy vey.
