and in some cases, it doesn't affect the easy/cheap methods. The video does a good summary at the end, it does a good enough job that people think cheaters are just smurfs which are just a problem Riot doesn't want to fix anyways
extremely hard to believe. there were fog of war cheats which you can't really tell if someone used. but i've absolutely encountered xerath and kog cheaters, maybe karthus but i doubt it
Played 10,000 games of Valorant with at least 2,000 of them at radiant rank and I don't think I've ever seen a cheater. In comparison, at least 1/5 of my cs games has a blatant cheater.
yeah a lot of people will try to kneejerk shit on the anticheat or circlejerk because it's a riot product but vanguard has been genuinely great at minimizing cheaters in valorant when I used to play it
and I hear a lot of anecdotes from people like you echoing the same sentiment
A kernel level AC simply ups the bar for hackers to make better cheats. Its likely people have run into plenty of cheaters but they are far more careful and discreet about it
you can even use YouTube to spread viruses and scam people with the video and video will be just set there forever, YouTube do jack shit unless it's opposed to leftist ideology.
I know there are countries where it's actually illegal to cheat (lol), but otherwise why should YT actually do something? Cheating is the game's problem to deal with innit.
why do these morons think an anticheat is supposed to instantly stop them from even opening a game and scripting? it's been decades and these morons still think they're supposed to work instantly and meant to be a wall that stops 100% of cheaters
haven't played in years, but i always relapse
them adding this means i won't relapse
i've no issue with anticheat like that, i have issue with riot doing it cuz i don't trust them not to fry my pc with it
the funniest is vanguard defenders saying "hurr durr but Rito always spied on you", ok then why they need to add another layer of spying that doesn't make sense
No, the point is that if Riot wanted to spy on you they definitely don't need to install a kernel-level anti-cheat, they can already access your files without it.
china won't have vanguard lol
And bots don't use chinese accounts, especially in EUW and NA. They use VS ai matches. What's your point ?
>inb4 CCP shill
Jesus Christ that's really all you moronic Black folk have to say
It would unironically be better if we in the West had our own great firewall to keep turd worlders out. The overwhelming majority of cheaters is from China, Russia, Dot-Heads, Phlips and other deplorables.
Personally, I'm not playing HellDivers 2 on PC because the DRM is a massive crock of shit, and my own friends have stated that they've been having weird PC issues since they've started playing the game. Don't allow consumerism to stop you from not giving shitty devs money.
It really does, because I can't even play their games because of it. I tried installing it to play Valorant with a friend and it wouldn't work. After fricking around with it, turns out I needed to change my BIOS settings for some moronic reason. I went into BIOS and I realized it was trying to mess with my fan settings, so I bailed. What the frick Riot.
to be fair the smurfing problem exists because of the plethora of cheap lvl 30 accounts which are levelled using bots.
vanguard makes botting impossible/harder
I just got back into league, this sucks. Won't install some kernel level riot software.
Well, unfortunately i installed the update prior to uninstalling it all so i dunno maybe i'm already getting spied on, regardless i won't reinstall it, that's crazy. I hope the playerbase plummets and they remove this shit.
i only play 1 game of aram every couple months. i just set it to not turn on when i boot pc. if i wanna play league ill turn it on,reboot, play, then turn it off again. if you actually play league regularly then its gonna just be on all the time so that sucks
The worst part about this chink spyware is that It's also mandatory for TFT. I wish it was only contained in league since I don't touch that shit, but alas.
Valorant is probably one of the only FPS that I have never felt totally cheated in.
I play hunt: showdown all the time and feel a little
cheated like every 4th match, and blatantly cheated maybe every 10th.
I don't play Valorant because it's enforced 16:9 bullshit aspect ratio for poors.
I only casually play tft so I don't care. The fact that the chinese server gets a billion cool arenas and chilis is annoying but whatever not like I buy anything more than the occasional pass.
I'm actually dropping League because of it. I used to play Valorant, and having to preemptively decide if I'm going to play the game in that day or not was a pain.
Oh you shut Vanguard down? Well now you have to reset your entire PC if you want to play our game.
The Riot jannies will delete everything related to how fraudulent vanguard is on reddit, which is the main hub of discussion for their shitty games. Anyway, I'm just waiting for the project L release and enjoy how it flops and laugh at the copers.
2XKO looks good but it is nothing special. It won't overtake an establish fighting game. And yes there is a chance that it will underperform. Pros are shilling it though because they are expecting a huge prize pool
It's a hard pill to swallow for Ganker but being able to cheat is freedom. If you're arguing for intrusive anti cheat you're essentially arguing for communism.
>devs admit they are so incompetent they had scripters infesting top ranks but this time its totally going to work >dev team had drama in the pass because player info got leaked >going to install program that needs to run 24/7 and might brick your pc if you turn it off >dev team says "just trust me bro" when privacy is brought up >morons want this change to combat something that affects less than 1% of players
I can talk myself into taking some kernel anti-cheats up the ass but even for those Vanguard feels like it nests itself too deep. Is there a reasonable distinction to be made or am I just coping?
I feel the same, EAC and other crap starts with the game. This feels like a massive security issue. Has anyone that played valorant been compromised due to vanguard?
>Is there a reasonable distinction to be made or am I just coping?
Most anti-cheat systems are kernel level, but they only start to run when you start the game, and stop when you close it. Vanguard starts as soon as you press the power button on your PC, it loads before even the drivers, and it runs 24/7 until you either close the application (Vanguard, not league) or shut down the PC
If you close vanguard, you will need to restart your PC to play league/valorant again
I've only been playing TFT from time to time, but I genuinely consider uninstalling it now that I'm forced to install this unnecessary kernel-level, "restart your PC and have it on in the background all the time" piece of shit anti-cheat.
What the frick was Riot thinking?
All this anti-cheat shit would be unnecessary if people were allowed to host their own dedicated servers. At the end of the day this is just their attempt to sell you cosmetics in a closed ecosystem. They don't want to stop cheaters, they want to stop people stealing skins.
if it prevents cheating then it's worth it
it doesn't prevent cheating, it just makes it harder
and in some cases, it doesn't affect the easy/cheap methods. The video does a good summary at the end, it does a good enough job that people think cheaters are just smurfs which are just a problem Riot doesn't want to fix anyways
>Ummmm akshually it doesn't prevent it you just need hardware worth 1k bucks and only useful for hacking
>50 = 1000
never met a cheater in LoL in 10 years.
And I GUARANTEE it does not stop bare basic scripting
extremely hard to believe. there were fog of war cheats which you can't really tell if someone used. but i've absolutely encountered xerath and kog cheaters, maybe karthus but i doubt it
So it's not worth it then.
Chink shill

It really isn't. Do you want to know the real reason why valorant cucks believe that they don't face any cheaters? No fricking replays.
A kernel level AC simply ups the bar for hackers to make better cheats. Its likely people have run into plenty of cheaters but they are far more careful and discreet about it
Mark my words, one of the worst hacks in history will involve Vanguard.
>I'm okay with corporations invading my privacy to prevent people from inconveniencing me in my eletronic toy!
Slit your throat, subhuman roach
ccp is always watching you
>the judaic USA doesn't
lol you dumb homosexual
good bot
KEK it doesn't work. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G_lT5K3PSoE

frick this gay planet

You can't talk anything bad about israelites tho, free speech from Zionist America is wonderful.

Vanguard is a kernel level driver that auto-runs 24/7 with elevated super admin rights. It loads before you audio and network drivers.
Not even the worst EA easyanticheat Black person software does that.
What were they thinking?
the funniest is vanguard defenders saying "hurr durr but Rito always spied on you", ok then why they need to add another layer of spying that doesn't make sense

Jesus Christ that's really all you moronic Black folk have to say
you really believe a chink company solely wants to keep cheaters at bay ?
99.9% of the valuable data on your computer is available without admin rights and privilege escalation exploits are extremely common anyways.
>just let chinks spy on you bro
It would unironically be better if we in the West had our own great firewall to keep turd worlders out. The overwhelming majority of cheaters is from China, Russia, Dot-Heads, Phlips and other deplorables.

kek you are dumb
>ruins your video game
did phreak convert to islam?
no he's just running a chechen faction build
it prevent the most basic esp + soft aimbot, most of those warn against having vanguard installed on the pc even if the game doesn't use it
Im having some strong cravings to return to this shit, and this really helps
Can I still play on linux?
No.
>Adds anticheat instead of dealing with the rampant smurfing problem
to be fair the smurfing problem exists because of the plethora of cheap lvl 30 accounts which are levelled using bots.

Valorant had it since the beginning without issues
I uninstalled league because of this. Is there a way I can make sure its gone?
The worst part about this chink spyware is that It's also mandatory for TFT. I wish it was only contained in league since I don't touch that shit, but alas.
if only the mobile version had chat I would be perfect for double up
install ldplayer or some android emulator and play it through that
I tried but the UI is too shit, as is the low res
I just switched to mobile as soon as they announced this shit a few months ago. Don't play it as much anymore but it's probably for the best.
>saves your video game
FTFY troony
only trannies play riot games thoughbeit
Valorant is probably one of the only FPS that I have never felt totally cheated in.

you mean 2XKO
2XKO looks good but it is nothing special. It won't overtake an establish fighting game. And yes there is a chance that it will underperform. Pros are shilling it though because they are expecting a huge prize pool
the name is stupid as frick unfortunately
It's a hard pill to swallow for Ganker but being able to cheat is freedom. If you're arguing for intrusive anti cheat you're essentially arguing for communism.

It finally went live, huh? Time to uninstall.
I can talk myself into taking some kernel anti-cheats up the ass but even for those Vanguard feels like it nests itself too deep. Is there a reasonable distinction to be made or am I just coping?

Can’t wait until Riot eventually fricks up and gets their shitty 24/7 online AC banned in the EU
not my problem because i don't play chink shit games
wrong Vanguard
I've only been playing TFT from time to time, but I genuinely consider uninstalling it now that I'm forced to install this unnecessary kernel-level, "restart your PC and have it on in the background all the time" piece of shit anti-cheat.
What the frick was Riot thinking?
The data they'll steal with Vanguard is worth more than the small amount of savvy customers who will stop using their products.
All this anti-cheat shit would be unnecessary if people were allowed to host their own dedicated servers. At the end of the day this is just their attempt to sell you cosmetics in a closed ecosystem. They don't want to stop cheaters, they want to stop people stealing skins.
does genshin still have the same thing?
