its pretty comfy with mods
simplistic but definitely captures the total annihilation feel
it is very comfy
apparently the spritework comes from an unpublished rts called "hard vacuum"
I tend to stick to mods like the AEA modpack, its unbalanced but fun to frick around with with friends
any mod recs btw?
fairly easy to control, its amazingly intuitive, rare for a mobile game.
>pic
is that a mod?
It's pretty fun, I usually play a 10p AI skirmish from time to time when I don't have anything else to do. Mods are also cool but you have to check what they actually do to not end up with a largely disbalanced roster.
>Mobile RTS
So is it fairly easy?
Played the demo for a while and it was breasts and biscuits. Looked like crap but felt just right.
More like it has solid QoL. One complaint I have is that the graphics aren't exactly mobile-tier so on a small screen it looks mushy. I think I'd rather get the PC version because I can't imagine playing without a keyboard. Maybe zoomers can handle it better?
you get used to the mobile controls, but yeah get it on PC
Eh, I got it on mobile anyway since it costs next to nothing now that it's on sale.
I played it a couple of years ago, just didn't play much of it. It is perfectly fine, I'd have loved to play matches against m8s but they didn't want to.
I only played it on PC, it's not easy
Just very simple. Somewhere between TA and C&C1. It's nice. It's also really cheap which is nice.
unironically great
FRICK laser defenses
if you use laser defenses FRICK YOU

Play to win.
The ships in the star trek mod don't seem to automatically attack.
Rusted mods tend to break a lot
the modding scene is nice but god some mods are held together by duct tape and rubber bands
mod link? I wanna check it out

Both seem to not be able to auto attack.
How's the AI?
nothing too fancy
though ive noticed that the AI tends to just build a bunch of units and send them your way one by one regardless of difficulty
just play multiplayer
not great not terrible
I played it, not a fan. I even returned it. It's just, JUST a shittier version of Total Annihilation.
Damn I actually got the game and it's pretty fun, wanna play together?

/vst/ rusted night could be comfy as frick
a 10p pve match
>spoiler
Shouldnt the pc players have a massive advantage? How does it work
the mobile control input allows for group selection. plus since this is a TA-like it's already got built-in autobuild and rally point mechanics to cut down on micro
cool tyrian graphics
it's because the graphics were made by the same guy who Illustrated Tyrian
the game uses the sprites from a cancelled game called "hard vacuum", Daniel Cook released the sprites on his blog "lost garden" (can't link the blog because the system thinks its spam)
I don't like the mechs. Slow, expensive, mostly short-ranged, oversized, underpowered, gimmicky and specialized. Especially since vehicles are so versatile, cost-effective and easy to mass. I'd rather skip right to the experimentals which aren't that much more expensive anyway.
gunship spam, turrets & the experimental spider is how you win games
Its pretty fun but amphibious jets feel so overpowered
I spam them to success every match
They basicly counter everything
I tried the demo and there's a tier 2 tank that shoots at ground and air units. Mass producing them seems to beat the AI every time
Is there a campaign here, or is it just skirmish maps?
No campaign. You get 10 decently varied missions, 7 challenge missions (tried the first two and those were kinda lame), 5 endless survival maps, and of course a whole bunch of skirmish maps.
I mean, TA community (which is the game this one draws inspiration from) is all about multiplayer so there's no surprise this one also focuses mostly on online gameplay.
the main focus is multiplayer, there are some missions that serve as a tutorial, or a way to sharpen your skills but there is no lore or story, just gameplay
>the main focus is multiplayer
Yikes.
I mean, this is true for TA and all TA-likes. Their communities only ever care about creating and enjoying MP content.
For a free, TA clone it's pretty good and runs well even on phones. Anyone interested in doing some matches this weekend?
>free
it's 5 dollarydoos on PC.
>he doesnt sail the seven seas
you can easily pirate it lol
the dev doesnt even care
and it works fine, you dont need a crack or a fix, you can join online multiplayer servers as long as you have the right version
phone version is free.
No it isn't. There's a free mobile demo, tho.
If you pirate $5 indie games you are a bad person.
