Post the link. I can't seem to find anything about it selling 3.5 millions. If it really sold that much then great.

Exactly like the original, it's far from a perfect game but what it excells at is something no other game can deliver. It's sweet to see Dragon's Dogma finally find success

Anyone who is not a moron could tell they were rushed.

Game has literally obvious "Alpha Stage" flaws and elements to it. Half of the shit Itsuno talked about that he wanted to include are gone.

    >inb4 he said it's finished.
Give me example of a dev (especially Japanese one) who will go and say "yea the game will probably suck because the devs rushed me, don't buy it lmao". It's typical marketing talk.

Even Larian lied about Upper City and features or cut content weeks before release and people do not tear them a new butthole for this, so what's up with that?

This game really is just a slightly worse version of the original, a massive disappointment on all accounts. If Dragon's Dogma 2 sold well, Dragon's Dogma 3 certainly won't. If they even make another.

Nice to see a sane human being here. DD2 was rushed to release before capcom's financial quarter ended, and despite being unfinished, it still sold 2.5mil in this time, which was more than they expected it seems, and not only did it cover the gigantic frickup that was exoprimal, but the game made enough money in that last bit of time that they gave their shareholders some extra money on top of it. Any extra sales for dd2 now dont really matter as much since capcom's next really big release will be wilds, but with the amount it sold, some extra resources might be poured into some updates and maybe a decent dlc. Either way, I'd say the game was a success for the wrong reasons, since it could've been much more.

I mean its even more obvious by the fact that they had 1/4 the average man power allocated to the game than they usually do

They didnt, they just didnt bother crediting all the chaff like localizers. ER had less people working on it lol

I remember Itsuno saying something like
      >I always want to continue working on the game, adding more things but eventually development must end and the game is in a good state
He said this shortly before release.

Wouldn't be surprised if it's another case of Playstation causing ambitious games to cut content.
Same thing happened with Baldurs Gate where as soon as they announced a playstation port, the tutorial section got cut in half and upper city also got cut.
Much as Capcom wants to push the idea of, PC is our priority. Playstation will still be taken in mind when fat needs cutting.

Expect Capcom to get even worse, this isn't a good sign calling DD2 a success because I bet it didn't sell as much as they would have liked, however its successful in another way, milking whales and casuals

I don't know, this game feels forced like horizon series. Like you see threads all the time, but at the same time nobody from your friends even know about it.
    Wtf is going on?

All my friends were talking about it. Most have beat or plan to get it later. Unlike Horizon, which is practically a Ubisoft game, this game is unique and you can't really compare it to anything else but the game that came before it.

Isn't the traditional custom if a game is successful to give a bonus to the devs who actually worked on it rather than the ~~*investors*~~? Or has the world become too israeli for that?
