Is there a limit to how many Legendary Medals you can collect with each minion? And if so, that means I'll need to have access to Heavensward and Stormblood to 100% the event, huh? I only just cleared ARR.
This event comes back once per expansion so if you do miss the Heavensward and Stormblood stuff you can get them in three years. But it also goes all the way until Dawntrail launch so you'll probably be fine unless you're really slow at going through the story.

Reminder that the removal of trash from raids in FFXIV led to them being turned into glorified trials, thereby removing a significant amount of substance from the end-game beyond just the boss fights themselves. The sheer fact that the closest things we have to actual RAIDS in the game are fricking alliance raids and content such as Baldesian Arsenal/Dalriada is something I will never, ever forgive the playerbase for.

The combat system isn't built for bosses either it's a memory test with safe zones to remember over 5 minutes while spamming a rotation. No builds no different team makeup strategies no resists just binary one shots. All that shit that doesn't work in bosses can also not work in mini bosses if they compacted the encounters down to 2 minutes, decreased the difficulty and put like 3 mobs instead of 1. That sounds like an excuse fraudster Yoshi P gives like he always does to hand wave away why he can't offer the bare minimum in RPG design.

Wow, exciting. Number going up means nothing when the enemy's number goes up at the same time. All gear does for you each tier is put you back at the same relative power you were at before.
In a horizontal progression game, enemy power stays around the same level forever. So when your number goes up it actually means something and gives you an advantage over the enemy.
When your number goes up you can go back and kill things that took you awhile to kill a lot faster. I can go back and solo full party content. I don't think you understand that you're getting stronger with the the new gear.
You're not getting stronger, you're staying at the same comparable power level. And content in this game has item level syncs. If your Midare hits for 40k on P4S and 100k on P12S, you are hitting for the same relative amount. Your number went up, but so did the boss's HP. So you're not gaining power when you get new gear, you're climbing back to the power you were at 8 months ago. This confuses you because you're a monkey and you just see a bigger number.

Literally just fricking do it. Tanking is easy. Tanking is fun.
Tanking is at its scariest in ARR because you have no safety rails there and very little to help you mitigate fricking up. And it only gets easier the further up the level you go.
Trust me, the game goes by slow enough that as long as you're not a braindead bawd and actually make use of the buttons you're given, you'll pick up the pace just fine.
Pulling a ton of enemies? Learn to stack your strongest mitigation buttons just right so you can live through it while having some leftover for the next, rather than blowing them all at once and then having the defenses of toilet paper because you didn't save anything. Taking a ton of damage and the healer is struggling and doesn't look like they'll manage to keep you up? Activate your invulnerability button to give them a breather. And so on and so on.
Now go unlock a tank and play it you coward.
It's not a real thing. If you have physical symptoms from playing with toys then just have a nice day.
Tank anxiety is very much real and warranted because tanking has 1 inherent problem, you are completely at the groups mercy.

Anyways just do it really, try it with trusts first if you're too scared, or tell people you're new and you're gonna be trying to wall to wall and stuff, just have mitigations rolling 1 maybe 2 at once rotate them so you never run out, don't try to wall to wall in ARR content it'll suck ass jobs don't have the tools for it mostly, just do big pulls instead
It'll get to the point where you'll type to your newbie healer that you're gonna pull the frick out of the dungeon and it's ok if he you wipe because it'll be fun and he'll learn

The MSQ from ARR to EW alone is like 350 hours at this point if you don't skip cutscenes. At one hour a day you won't even start Dawntrail until May next year.
Friend of mine who just skipped through shit got to the end of shadowbringers pretty fast but he was playing a lot, at 1 hour a day if you literally ONLY do story story story skipping everything as fast as possible I think you could maybe do it, but hmmm... well yeah theres all the dungeons and trials and stuff....

The entire game is about the story, everything in the game is based around the story. If you're coming into this game with the intention of skipping the story you might as well not play at all. It takes like 70-80 hours or more to play through the base game and each expansion, ignoring the frickton of side content, crafting/gathering/FC shenanigans/etc you can do. That's 5x70=350 hours. So playing 1 hour a day, it will take you almost a year to catch up.
I started the game in the beginning of january and played pretty much every day for hours solely doing the main story and only finished it all in the end of february, it was 300 hours of playtime for me to go from arr to 6.5

Acquire friends, squadron manuals and food w/ 1 full rested EXP bar.
Start with 1 completed khloe book on launch or queue the duties unsync with your party.
Now fire up Gulg > Ktisis. Once you hit 87.50~ you can quit ktisis.
Now as a friend group queue your roulettes in order from lowest to highest leaving MSQ, FL & lvling for last.
You pop the khloe book the second you hit 89 and finish it off with one Atiascope run if you must.
Your friends must be able to press their buttons. You must be able to press your buttons.
You cannot do this, so you should give up and wait 3 years to buy a boost.
There's literally no point in doing roulettes like normal raid or trial for exp, time to exp gain is lower than just doing Ktisis

SE changed payment processor or payment processing rules. Basically you need to have a valid address on THEIR account, that address must match the country of your CC if you're paying with CC, which can be a problem because you cannot change your country without creating a new account and some countries are straight up not available even though the game may be bought there. This does not apply if you're paying with paypal, Crysta or Steam, but even in those cases you need to input a valid address if you have not already. If you aren't asked for any of this by the system you're fine and nothing changes for you.
