Sakura a cute
Trying to play Sakura Wars on an emulator, but it fades to black every time I finish the first battle. Any idea of how to fix this?

If you want an answer you should probably mention what system you are playing it on op.
Sorry. Im using Yabause.
Never heard of a yabause console... sorry anon can't help you
It's a Saturn emu
Is only the Saturn version translated? Saturn emulation sucks but try retroarch instead. You really should think about buying a Saturn anon. I have given up on emulation ever being as good as the PS1 but we have ODDEs so it doesn'tmatter. I played through the PSP port recently and have been waiting for someone to make a thread.
I thought the only Saturn emu was mednafen?
There's also ssf
Use Mednafen, or beetle Saturn. Played through the fan translation a couple times, no graphical issues.
Personally I can't wait for the translation of 3 to be finished. Some people just started a little over a month ago and already have some impressive shit
Play the PS2 remake of the first game. There is no reason to play the saturn version at all.
>PS2
>fugly interlaced blurry video output
Frick that. Play 1-4 on the Sega Basedcast.
>starts calling it the basedcast after the basedcube thread
kek dreamcucks getting sloppy seconds as always
Nah, it's the other way around. Only thing worth playing on the Shitcube is inferiour Basedcast sloppy second ports like Sanic Adventure 1&2, Skies of Arcadia, Monkey Ball, Capcom vs. SNK 2, Code Veronica, etc. which are all much better played on their original platform.
First usage of Basedcast on /vr/: 2018

Sorry Nintebro, but you lose again.
Story as old as time
>Play the PS2 remake of the first game.
Is that one even translated? I think only the original Dreamcast version was, and the PS2 version has extra content right?
I wouldn't know but maybe it isn't. I just assumed you could understand Japanese
>I assumed you could understand Japanese on an English board
if you are enough of a weeb to play sakura wars you should have picked up at least intermediate japanese skills by now
I wish someone told me this last week. Did the remake fix the problem with the combat not being fun? 5/5 game all in all but the battles were a slog.
>There is no reason to play the saturn version at all
The Saturn version is better.
>Play the remake
homosexual.
>The Saturn version is better.
how so? what's different other than the PS2 version having updated graphics
It has a different turn based combat system, same one from Sakura Wars 3 and 4, and arguably the same one from So Long, My Love. I actually prefer it, but some people might like the grid combat more.
No, the original is worth playing, remakes are never superior to the original game
>emugayging
Don't be a cuckold; play on real hardware.
But I'm playing the fan translation
you mean the terrible "translation" made by a litteraly weeaboo with no knowledge of the japanese language
As opposed to the fan translations of Japanese dating sims made by non weebs?
Yes.
sup ebay scalper
Stop shilling your overpriced ebay shit and then maybe people will
use Beetle Saturn in RetroArch, played through multiple Saturn games, Sakura Wars 1 included, and never had a problem
This helped. Thanks
Now I'm having issues with Disc 2. The second file isn't remembering my save data and the eject disc in Retroarch isn't doing anything
Sounds like an emugay problem.
Play on real hardware you mutt.

>Everyone who owns hardware is a scalper
Med yourself.
These days
Did you make an m3u playlist?
You need to make an .m3u and list each .cue file
SAKURA_WARS_DISC1.cue
SAKURA_WARS_DISC2.cue
Then you can eject disc and change disc index
Is there a way to transfer your save data to the m3u file? It doesn't have my save on it
Nvm I changed the save data name to fit the m3u's file name
