every single pixel of Vice City is memorable. it's also the best designed map and it's not made to waste the player's time like the map in SA with the moronic street layouts.

the cars were more realistic in san andreas so the map felt larger. IV has arcade style driving

Liberty City was pure garbage. Hove Beach and Downtown are the only interesting places, everything is padding.
There was nothing like playing this game for the first time if you grew up in NYC. Spent hours just exploring the city and realizing the connections between game areas and places I knew.
