Oh wow that was hard to deal with

Why do Pokémon fans do this? If you don’t want to use items then don’t buy don’t be mad that the game isn’t designed around your autism
>spamming items like a literal child
Opinion disregarded
I don’t use items in battle, but I also don’t b***h about being statused.
You see a similar thing in lots of videogame communities, and my theory is (because it seems to be what they all have in common) that it's actually just a deep discomfort with having too many options available, or too many mechanics to interact with, that causes a sensory overload for the autist.
They try to dress it up as "it makes the game harder, you're a noob if you do X Y or Z", but the truth is what they really want is to just simplify the game down into a much more binary state. Pokemon autists, for example, don't like using items, and prefer using set battle. This simplifies the game- The only thing you have to think about is choosing one of four moves. All other variables are effectively out of your control (even if it is self imposed), and this makes the autist feel most comfortable.
If they could they'd remove moves too. The ideal and perfect pokemon battle for a pokemon autist is one where you merely press A and wait to see the outcome, and don't have to think about anything else.
Lmao, this is the most brain dead take I've read in awhile. How does spamming items and getting free tempo make the game harder? You just have a fundamental misunderstanding of how the game works. Post elo or you're just a moron
Learn to read, moron. You got it backwards.
That's a whole lot of not posting elo, so you're just a moron
2969
Suck my pokeballs kid
OK moron. So you're so stupid that you don't know how elo works, and I'm expected to take your opinion that you've formulated by playing an hour of the game seriously.
At least I know how human reproduction works, nerd
Post sex elo then
>autists start seething after being exposed as tard brains
kek
I usually just horde all of my items until the elite 4. Yes I'm autistic
>that it's actually just a deep discomfort with having too many options available, or too many mechanics to interact with, that causes a sensory overload for the autist.
Nail on the head
absolute moron take
Choice is bad because I might make the wrong choice so I would rather not have any choice so we are all equal and no one is better or worse than me so I don't have to worry about things ever
Good post.
Basically my problem with all the "Hardcore+" Nuzlockes that arbitrary ban setup moves and other stuff. Clicking highest damage move an praying that RNG will no rape your ass is not "skill", it's just a glorified set of coin flips in flashy package.
Using items gives you fewer options however.
>one option less means more options
right
What does this even mean. It takes the same turn economy and frees up your movepool to do more.
>Why do Pokémon fans do this?
compgay autism
they want to feel "hardcore" while playing a game for toddlers
>using pokemon
>uses substitute
People don't talk enough about the absurd number of Pokémon that can cause paralyzis in Emerald's early game.
The route between Slateport and Mauville in particular was absolutely horrid, nothing but Shroomishes, Minuns/Plusles, Magnemites and Electrikes spamming Stun Spore and Thunder Wave every battle
it get's worse to know when even electric types can get paralysis
>what is a repel
>what is a cheri berry
Personally i'd like to know who had the marvelous idea of putting confuse ray golbats in the highest level area of every single pokemon game in existence, thank you kind stranger for making my grinding even more annoying
Hoenn's victory road might be the single worst victory road to grind in in the entire series
>confuse ray golbats
>roar lairons
>whirlwind hariyamas
Just don't even bother unless you outspeed AND one shot everything in there.
Just grind at Sky Pillar!!
>pressure dusclops
>what is Run
The last thing you want to do when you're grinding

If you picked Mudkip, say your fricking prayers.
This fight is when mudkip players learned about the existence of the "it’s super effective" flavor text
what is it about pokemon games where it's piss easy for 99% of the game but you come across huge mountains like this
whitney is also another example
The only solace is that it's not a long stretch, but is it a hellish short experience.
Can't forget the occasional Gulpin landing a Poison Gas or Yawn either.
If only there was some Pokemon that could directly benefit from it which you can catch within the first 3 routes of the game... hmmm...
>using abilities
Makuhita too, and the speed drop won't matter since it's already slow
>enter water

Kill Wingull. Behead Wingull. Roundhouse kick Wingull into the concrete.
In what situation are you gonna be surfing without a Pokemon that outspeeds and OHKO's a fricking Wingull?
Norman has level 31 Pokemon.
Wingull has 85 base speed and can appear up to level 30 depending on where you are. It's not likely but possible for it to outspeed certain Pokemon after you've beaten Norman.

is pokeflute in RSE?
Yeah, but instead of one you can get multiple flutes (blue, red, yellow etc.) with different effects.
Yeah you can get one for confusion, sleep and attraction in Fallarbor Town from farming the ash.
Blue flute cures sleep.
Yellow flute cures confusion.
Red flute cures infatuation.
Black flute decreases the encounter rate.
White flute increases the encounter rate.
They're made by collecting soot and having that melted and blown into glass flutes, as many as you want.
They're bag items, not key items, so they can be held and taken to other gen 3/4 games.
Seems fun to me 🙂
My own team is full of pokemon using these attacks.
Its fun only if you are the one who use them. Won't be too fun if you're on the opposite end of the stick.
No I find it fun to receive as well. That's the dynamics of the battle system 🙂
Glad it's not just "attack spam" on either side. I am coincidentally on the area
mentioned and I am enjoying it despite (or because!) being paralyzed/... often.
>Sand Attacks you
The only time I've genuinely considered an item to be worthless is in Colosseum and Gale of Darkness where the Call option wakes up Pokemon. So Awakenings just become low tier vendor trash. Every other game I see them as a tool to help me play as braindead as possible with my 4 damaging move starter.
remember ppl: DO NOT ANSWER TO YAWNgay.
>don't train 6 pokemon evenly like a moron
>run into none of these issues because you just outspeed and 1hko everything
not being a shitter pays off again
>Doesn't bother enjoying game
>Is able to beat it faster
Congrats bro, you're very cool and don't seem remotely insecure.
>umm no you see I'm actually enjoying the game more by having to waste my time sitting through multiple turns of status conditions stalling my pokemon until I inevitably KO the opponent anyway
>y-you're the insecure one not me
nta but how can you not find joy in the game dynamics? you might as well skip to the end cutscene
Joy?
if you must ask, guess I have to pity you -.-
>Hated Pokémon’s gameplay
>Plays it anyway
Sad existence
OPgay... do you >actually< like pokemon games? sound like the manga or anime might be better suited for you, potentially.
Just finished Emerald. No other Pokémon game has made me yell before with battles.
There’s just too many instances of Attract, Electrike, Yawn, Confusion.
I’ve never had this much item management during battles. Or you’ll switch Pokémon and then Confuse Ray comes out again.
