You are forced to play only the Sega Saturn for the rest of your life, and must pick 10 games. What is your selection?
For me:
>Mega Man X4
>Resident Evil
>Symphony of the Night
>Radiant Silvergun
>Sonic Jam
>Dead or Alive
As for four others... I have no idea.

cotton 2
guardian force

>elevator action returns
>cotton 2
>guardian force
You can't even beat the first few levels of these without continuing. Poser detected.
Not that anon, Cotton 2 is not that hard iirc but I haven't played much of Guardian Force and I never tried Elevator Action Returns
I'm not saying they're particularly hard games, I'm just saying that anon specifically can not play the games he says he likes for shit.
You say that as if using continues was some kind of crime. The point of home console arcade conversions at the time was that you paid a substantial sum of money ($50-$60) to be able to use as many continues as you'd like.
>You say that as if using continues was some kind of crime
It makes you a poser if you also say it's one of your favorites.
FYI, I'm not the person you originally replied to and I've never even played Cotton 2 (I've played other arcade conversion though), but let people enjoy those games however they see fit. It's ultimately just entertainment, if someone is able to have fun despite sucking at the game that's all that should matter. You imply that it's impossible for someone to genuinely like a game if they're bad at it and that's just false.
?
I've cleared all of them. Even have a 1CC on the arcade machine for elevator action returns (saturn version is better.)
>I've cleared all of them
No you didn't.
Whatever you say 45 year old virgin with no kids, job or family that cares about him that spends all day posting on Ganker to defend Nintendo. Go have another meltdown over the bouncer.
Not that anon, but to be fair I am a 32 year old virgin with no kids so I'm not much better
I've seen your gameplay, you aren't even close to a 1CC of any of them.
Sega Rally
Daytona USA OG
Virtua Fighter Remix
Fighting Vipers

I only boot my saturn to play these, no bullshit, just gaming

NiGHTS Into Dreams
Sonic R
Mega Man X4
SEGA Ages
Street Fighter Collection
Bust-A-Move 2
Die Hard Arcade

Too bad there's no Saturn game to fix my miserable life
SOTN

Sengoku Blade
Have you tried Hyper Duel? Bulk Slash is pretty good too imo
Sonic Jam and DoA are multiplayer
I never quite gelled with either Hyper Duel or Bulk Slash, but I respect them.
I might have to try Pukunpa...looks kind of like Money Idol Exchanger?
It is a fun puzzler with a lot of multipliers. I've not played Money Idol Exchanger but I've heard of it. You might also like Hanagumi Taisen Columns in that case
>Sonic Jam and DoA are multiplayer
Not only that but Sonic Jam also has the only playable version of Sonic 2's VS mode, since the original on Genesis has so much slowdown it's not even worth playing
>all these single player games
You're gonna get bored of that shit in a week. Load up on multiplayer games and you're set.
Dead or Alive is multiplayer, but what non-fightan multiplayer recs do you have?
Not him but Die Hard Arcade is pretty fun. Guardian Heroes also supports four or five players I think but I've only ever played single player. There's also the racing games, Sonic R, Daytona USA, SEGA Rally. And I guess if you have actual friends unlike me, there's Madden
I'm only going by official US-region releases:
1) Sega Rally Championship
2) Guardian Heroes
3) PowerSlave
4) Galactic Attack
5) Virtua Cop 2
6) Daytona USA
7) Marvel Super Heroes
8) Hyper Duel
9) Panzer Dragoon Saga
10) House of the Dead
Hyper Duel is JP-only
Not a bad list otherwise though. US Saturn library is often overlooked
sonic jam
rockman x4
rockman 8
puyo puyo sun
sega rally plus
daytona usa
nights
burning rangers?
idk anything else i havent dug into the saturns library that deep. probably something id choose over those that i dont know about.
If you like PS1, you probably own at least one if not two other games that are on Saturn
I know for myself I played Mega Man X4 on PS1 first and never played the Saturn version of games like Rayman
i'll just stop playing video games entirely, which i mostly already have because irl is better
i go out more evenings than i stay in
>This board is for the discussion of classic, or "retro" games, including consoles, computer games, arcade games (including pinball) and any other forms of video games.
i tried playing Nights at a museum exhibit but it froze during a part where it's just the shitboy walking and the Saturn was locked inside a case. i never bothered emulating Saturn. one time i got to play Primal Rage for a minute on a cousin's Saturn and that's it so i don't know what i'm missing
If you don't like retro games, you can always go to Wrong board. If you don't like video games at all, you can always go to
or
Ganker is for incels, even moreso than /LULZ/
Sonic 3D Blast's all I need.
Saturn is a kind of limited system; and I'd have to dig into games I wouldn't normally play on a Saturn, or would normally avoid the Saturn version entirely, so it wouldn't be anything like a "top 10 games on the Saturn" list. I'm also probably missing something because there's obscure random ports to this system that might not come to mind:
Phantasy Star Collection
Sonic Jam
Hexen
Afterburner 2
Cotton 2
Batsugun
Lunar: Eternal Blue
Doom (yes, I'd rather play this than not play Doom)
Dungeons and Dragons Collection
Vampire Savior
Actually, I’d want to add some kind of endless dungeon game to my list, but I’m not sure what there is on Saturn besides pic related
you want an endless dungeon? try eating my ass
>You are forced to play only the Sega Saturn for the rest of your life
I'd probably just kill myself tbh
>I'd kill myself over these grapes! They're sour anyway!!
Not spoonfeeding you.
you don't have a list, anyway
I don't think he was asking for recommendations anon
those games are better on playstation
kwab
Especially SotN. It does not have Radiant Silvergun or Sonic Jam, however
>Virtua On
>Die Hard Arcade
>Panzer Dragoon Zwei
>Galactic Attack
>Thunderforce V
>Dragonforce
>Sega Rally Championship Netlink
>Radiant Silvergun
>Sega Ages
>MSX pack or Williams Arcade classics since its a ton of games to keep me occupied
If you don’t count the classic compilations I’d take SOTN lag and all
>You are forced to play only the Sega Saturn for the rest of your life, and must pick 10 games
No I'm not.
>x4
>guardian heroes
>radiant silvergun
>timebokkan doronbo
>bulk slash
>baroque
>shinrei jusastsushi taromaru
>nights
>power slave
>dnd collection
Can I have Shining Force 3 and all its scenarios as one game?
If SRW F/F Final counts, then I guess that counts too
