You see the thing about XY is that its a game that back in the day had a lot of potential that never got to spread its wings in the end. When the games released in 2013, on the back of a really good games from the DS era, most people were very positive about them. Yes they felt unfinished and unpolished but no one really saw that as a huge issue since everyone was SURE some sort of upgrade game will fix its problems and make the base game even better. It wasnt untill around 2015 when the negativity flooded the XY discussion because people started realizing were not getting the upgrades.
Untill recently Kalos revisit seemed like a distant wishful thinking. I sure hope Legends ZA does address at least some of XY issues but even if it didnt it will at least expand Kalos lore and story which is already huge especially after what Legends Arceus did to Sinnoh lore.

There are maybe like 5 well designed mega evolutions. I either don't think about Kalos, or am disgusted by it.
