I literally can't. There is not one positive thing I can say about Sword and Shield, those games ruined Pokemon.

I liked the idea of TR's, having both the multi use TMs and the single use TR's being raid dungeon rewards was a pretty good idea.

The only good thing in SwSh I can think of is... Nature Mints, and the character designs. It's insane I have to reach that far.

It didn't pave shit. Legends Arceus actually innovated. Sword and Shield did nothing new or remarkable. It introduced a controllable camera in very 3 large areas meanwhile the game's actual plot was completely on rails. It did nothing with overworld pokemon either. They didn't interact w/ the environment or the player beyond chasing or ignoring them. LA actually does something with these concepts.

Sword and Shield are a Nintendo Switch game with just barely more pokemon in them than a DS game that came out a decade prior to its DLC and it would have been extra easy to put all the pokemon in since they were recycling future proofed assets anyway. The developers gave 3 different excuses as to why this happened and none of them were true. With Sword and Shield came Home, an abysmally designed transfer paywall 3× larger than Bank which now has the GTS bundled in for whatever reason when it went perfectly fine in the games themselves. Sword and Shield is literally Pokemon, the fanbase, and Game Freak at their worst. Sword and Shield irreparably damaged the fanbase with constant infighting. It didn't do anything new either. Raids were in Go, cooking minigames have been a thing since Gen 3, Rotomi and Rotom phone are just Rotom dex knockoffs, Poke-Jobs are worse PokePelago since they can't be accessed everywhere like they could in SM. The game's even more casualized by removing the EXP share toggle and letting you frick with your boxes anywhere. It's a fricking disaster of a game that had a purely negative impact for its audience whether they liked it or not. The worst part is that it's one of the best selling games in the series so Game Freak knows they're free to pull a stunt like this again and face zero repurcussions.

I loved the tournament lobby, Gym Leader and Tower Rose themes. Tower Rose always reminded me as a mix between a route of Hoenn theme and a Digimon song lol

I know it's really low hanging fruit, but 100% the quality of life improvements. Some of the new Pokemon are alright, and the ribbon titles/marks are honestly super fricking based, but that's honestly really about it. Everything else is just such a train wreck, but that goes without saying I suppose.
i really like most of the gmax forms, my favourite is probably orbeetle's as I really like ufos
wish they were just mega forms thougheven if it meant removing some of the megas dexit style
I stopped playing after Moon so I guess that makes it the worst by default.

Alola made by far the hottest pokegirls. Unova and galar are a close second.

Whilst it wasn't great, i do really appreciate the open world wild area they went with. Legends made it better so if they can carry that into scarlet/violet it could be really good.
The gym battles actually felt like major events due to the stadium/crowd and dynamax. More variety on stadiums/arenas for ranked matches would be great going forward.
I loved the atmosphere in Galar. There was a real feeling of being a rising star in the region. I could imagine people collecting and trading my league card, commentators talking about my battle style, people on forums comparing my record to Leon and debating who's better, etc.
restricted sparring is the best post game battle facility.

No third version. As garbage as SWSH was it was really an amazing improvement to not have to rebuy and replay the fricking game a whole year later to get the full experience.

That's pretty much the only thing i like in Gen 7.
