>search for game on nutube
>nothing but reaction and clickbait garbage in the first results
When will this stop, I want the people making this waste dead so badly.

When will this stop, I want the people making this waste dead so badly.
But how will I gauge my favorite content creators excitement without seeing a react image?
How will you know how excited to be yourself
if you ever want to feel sad for humanity, just visit youtube homepage in a fresh browser profile. wtf? how is this supposed to be good for us?
Check the "trending" page and get depressed. It's like Idiocracy movie.
There's no way the people who actually make and work on the youtube platform work on this stuff. does it mean that there's some sort of caste gap where the tech-bros just view the masses as piggies to be exploited to make money off of? like they don't want to make anything that actually uplifts humanity
Real talk, how often do you guys even use Youtube anymore?
I used to obsessively from its inception up until maybe 5 years ago when I started using it way less frequently and now I almost don't use it at all.
I'm never caught up in any discussions regarding shit like DefunctLand's famous Disney Channel jingle video or HRBomber guy's plaigerism video.
Now I just wish I could make myself stop using Ganker.
I got into youtube recently as an older guy and I'm breaking out of it. I was able to avoid ecelebs entirely. I started blindly following the algorithm after work because I work nights and my family sleeping when I get home. I was watching shit I actually had mo interest in watching. Like it wasn't even rage bait. I think I noticed it when the Charlie moist guy was showing up. He's so safe and bland and has nothing to offer. I don't need to see someone else's reaction to something. How about i just see that myself without the dork
I'm glad people have come to agree that Charlie is the most nothing person ever.
His "Wholesome Keanu Chungus" aura could only protect him for so long. He's such a vapid empty humanbeing.
I like him more when he was making those funny dubover videos. News commentary is just not fun to watch
'people' find this funny?
Dubovers are fricking fun anon
They are the same people who found skibidi gyat rizz homosexualry funny. Mentality of a toddler.
he's been phoning it in for 10 years and still able to ride the wave. I'm jealous.
That's because he got super lucky.
He received a shout-out from RWJ, one of the biggest creators back in the day, when he was at his prime and his channel was boosted.
Add to the fact that he was able to accumulate numerous subscribers by catering to the most basic shit, reddit jokes
He also started doing commentary, when it was at its peak. Back in 2016-ish, drama channels blew up, and Charlie was one of them
Right now, he doesn't even need to try, not that he ever did. He just needs to spam the subscription box with 3-4 videos per day, making some dildo jokes and not pissing anyone off, and he's golden
i have it going basically all the time when im on the computer but im rarely actively watching it, just gotta beat the suggestion algorithm into submission.
My sub feed (and seed) consists of a few music and silly short video channels plus mega64 (I don't actually watch the podcasts).
Otherwise just shit I specifically search for (usually music or gameplay footage) or official trailers. So not much.
Bacon is hilarious. Almost makes me want to play Oblivion. I like willburger or whatever his name is too for my oblivion fix
I use it for interviews, lectures and music. Nothing else.
Quitting Ganker just takes realizing your typical anon watches some of the garbage on the trending page and thinks the same too. Especially if you only browse the depressingly low IQ boards like Ganker.
Name 3 high IQ boards
/m/
/g/
/toy/

That's not funny
Basically I have watch history disabled and no liked videos, I don’t have recommendations. I just follow certain things.
>No Dunks, podcast for basketball which is the guys that were The Starters on NBA TV. JxmyHighroller has fun videos that are NBA related too.
>Gun related stuff like Demo Ranch and Brandon Herrera and Garand Thumb
>Cooking stuff like Kent Rollins, the cowboy chef, and Josh Cortis, the meal preps he does.
>Chopito Rally, the rally car crash compilations
>Couple channels of streamers I’m actually personal friends with, nothing fancy.
>Some official gaming channels like Nintendo or Square Enix or others, just for a source for trailers if I wanna watch.
Basically I have the specific things I like to watch and that’s about it really.
I thought about disabling the history once, but then I remembered that if I do such thing, every single video that'll be recommended to me would be the most safe shit and ad friendly video that israelitetube picks for me. Don't get me wrong, my home feed is filled with nothing but literal garbage, but I at least get something interesting every 100 video.
If I delete my history and liked tab, will I still be getting videos similar to my subscriptions and what I typically watch?
i have exactly 20 pages bookmarked that i check from time to time. fixing stuff, biking, history, none of them make onions face thumbnails. youtube itself seems like complete garbage, i never even made an account and the front page is offensive to my vision
>Real talk, how often do you guys even use Youtube anymore?
Hardly ever anymore. I saved a bunch of old videos I really like(d) locally as a sort of back up, so I don't even have to use YT for my scarce nostalgia shots.
Great comment. Are you happier now? Do you feel like getting away from YouTube has improved your mood/life in any way?
I'm quite happy with life now but I was also doing fine when I was watching youtube I guess. That was such a big portion of my life (I'm 24) and it covers so many years, so its hard to say.
Now whenever I'm on the train to/from work I just juggle between reading manga on a tablet and playing gameboy games on an anbernic. I can tell you right now it feels like a much better use of my time than scrolling social media or posting on Ganker, specifically when you're on public transport and there's nothing to do.
I guess the only thing Youtube is good for now is watching something while I eat, or listening to a podcast while I work and they haven't uploaded anywhere else.
>Now whenever I'm on the train to/from work I just juggle between reading manga on a tablet and playing gameboy games on an anbernic.
Adulting
Nah I already did the "adulting" thing for 4 years when I took the train into universit by just scrolling on my phone and it fricking sucked. I earned nothing from it.
Playing puzzle games exercises my brain and manga enrich my life with an interesting story. I'm comfortable in saying what I'm doing now is objectively better.
Most people play puzzle games on their phone anyway, except they're just predatory versions with ads and microtransations.
I personally don't watch YouTube anymore, however my wife keep watching vlogs on the tv
what's up with women's obsession with vlogs? are they just nosey?
Jealousy.
I've never idly browsed YouTube in my life,
I mostly use it to watch "idiots in cars" compilations but even then I don't do that often. Overall yeah I've drastically reduced my use of YouTube.
I just rewatch the same channels all the time, use it for horror stuff or background noise on the latest washed-up e-celeb caught saying Black person or sucking troony dick to stay relevant because I revel in human suffering.
are there people out there that don't follow the world of terminally-online boomer politics? Sitch & Adam?
I get recommended memes and funny videos and sometimes i follow few channels that interest me.
Everything else is cancer.
About the "viral long videos" such as hbomber one? I almost never watch them. Only one i watched recently was one about a recent big drama in my country's youtubers, where it turned out that many of them are pedos.
I watch vtubers livestream on youtube every day but I think the times I actually watch a video for anything that isn't videogame OST might be under 2 per week
>LGR
>BigguyClive
>Techmoan
>MichaelMJD
>AvE
>Baseball doesn't exist
>Report of the week
>Numberphile
yep, its youtube time.
Literally every day but I stick to my subs.
I was obsessed with watching let's players like early DSP, ProtonjonSA and some other guy who had the most hilarious reactions playing dead space don't remember his name.
It's because of DSP that I'm into fighting games and yes, I'm horrible at them.
I don't watch them anymore, I use the platform for ambient music or lo-fi radio streams for work.
I did look back on Jon recently and found his livestreams, and all the weird fetish art shit so I'm kinda glad I stepped away from all that
Almost everything I watch is edutainment in some form. Those Wired or whatever videos where experts answer questions, or like Tim Cain's videos, or the odd Veritasium stuff. I don't really follow anyone slavishly though and I don't have any notifications, I just go there occasionally and put something on in the background while working.
Stop watching youtube especially anything with guy in his bedroom or sitting at a desk or podcasts and reaction drama. You won't be missing anything
i feel like there's probably good stuff on youtube, it's just hiding and hard to find because of the algorithm
I just make new accounts for specific interests I have and will then watch a bunch a videos only in that niche and then get recommended a handful of unknown channels which are usually solid
>jump into the dumpster
>WOOOOOW THERE'S ONLY TRASH IN HERE
>"no commentary" for gameplay
>"before:<year>" for older games
What video of a game could you need besides a trailer or a longplay? Just add that to the search?
>I ate nothing but ARBY'S for 40 DAYS!
>I ate at EVERY RainForest Cafe IN AMERICA!
>I survived a A WHOLE MONTH purely off GAS STATION FOOD!
What the frick is going on with americans?
I wonder how youtube (or the internet at large) is going to handle the incoming AI flood.
pro tip: use - to filter out review reaction and other such cancer terms
There was a stream where a guy took a picture for his thumbnail and it's as uncanny and cringe as you'd imagine
When did this trash trend start anyway? I think 2013/2014 was the time when clickbait on the internet started spiraling out of control, but my perception is blurred since I try to avoid this type of stuff at all cost.
It's some SEO type shit where if it worked for one channel they assume it works for everyone. You also have courses and webinars that teach this stuff to Youtubers.
The one trend I hate is the red arrow pointing to random shit.
Supposedly this gets children and moronic older people to click on videos especially the TV app.
Makes me miss the days when annoying 10 second intros were the greatest nuisance imaginable. YT allowing custom thumbnails was a mistake.
Youtube keeps getting worse
>When will this stop, I want the people making this waste dead so badly.
TV costs $1million+ per episode, youtube content as close to $0 (zero dollars) as possible.
Im sure you can work out the rest.
>"don't recommend channel"
>never see thumbnails for this cancer
>keep seeing the same fat greasy bastards because people actually compile or reupload their stuff
FRICKS SAKE
The secret words you need to use are "no commentary walkthrough", anon.
You can thank Etika for this
>You can thank Etika for this
No you can thank a revenue model that encourages making 'content' for no money so you get too keep the rest yourself.
??? What game I never have this problem. All I get is reviews from bigger gaming websites and guides by smaller channels.
>niche game gets an update
>all the bottom-feeders that cater to this special niche rush in to shit out their clickbait farm video
>"is INCREDIBLE"
>"is Finally HERE"
>"ARE HERE"
>"THIS IS IT"
>only quality videos release several weeks later because the guys making those are busy actually playing the game
What do you call this phenotype?
american idiot
Put "no commentary" in front of the name
Protip use before:year before the world got pozzed.
Is there much pre 2008 youtube content left?
People have no shame anymore. How can ugly ass motherfrickers like that even think of displaying their alien ass looking living in 2 different zipcode goggle eyes having face to the rest of the world? Shame needs to be brought back.
> T. I say stuff like this and look like that.
I'm sorry I said bad things about your favorite youtuber. Go make a donation and be sure to tell him how you've defended him. He might even pronounce your name, lucky you!
I don't watch those sóijacks.
I don't normally judge people for playing certain games but gta is straight moronshit. Rockstar doesn't write good stories. They don't write relatable or interesting characters. They write psycho mass murderers and spend literal billions animating them well and paying actors to voice their stupid lines. The shooting is bad. The driving is bad. The online is bad. It is pay to win. You pump money in shark cards and other gay shit to get special boy cars like the moron that you are.
>delete history
>delete liked videos
There, no more garbage algorithm
>open video I like
>recommendation side bar is still the same garbage videos as the home feed
There's no winning with this one. Gone the days when you'd see videos based on stuff you enjoyed and subscribed to. Now you'll get the same video, about the same topic, because you accidentally clicked that one video last week
The very concept of a feed is vile. I don't need you to feed me. If I want to see a video I will find it myself. Ignore your feed.
How do you find videos that interest you?
I've been on the platform for 17 years (Smosh stranded was my very first video that I watched). In the past, YouTube always recommended you stuff on the sidebar based on what you were currently watching. If you're watching an animation, they would recommend you other animations. You'd click one video and go into a rabbit hole then emerged on the other end on a completely different video. Nowadays, everything is the same, literally the same. I have no idea where to even look for new stuff
Type it in your search bar.
Forget the clickbait videos, those can be easily ignored by just blocking those channels. My biggest gripe comes from the clippers. God I fricking hate clippers
I'm not a /vt/gay, I only watch a single small vtuber, singular, because she's comfy. But everytime I watch her stream, my homepage gets flooded with vtuber clips because israeliteTube thinks I want more despite telling them for the 20th time 'no'. The same thing with big channels. Depending on how large they are, they'll have upwards of 10 or dozens of clip channels that'll spam your homepage
>, I only watch a single small vtuber, singular, because she's comfy
>When will this stop,
as soon as it stops working. the click rates of reaction face thumbnails with a bait title compared to a regular thumbnail/title is staggering. somehow an expressive face with a provocative title attracts clicks like you wouldn't believe. especially from children.
>especially from children
I think it's actually "only from children". They're the ones that consume the massive amounts of youtube. Boomers still consume boomer media.
What about the 400 million 70iq sirs that are now on the internet?
When it stops making money
it doesn't make money for all of them, most of them are attempting to ride a hype train in the hopes that the algorithm will give them a golden ticket simply by following what's popular instead of actually making a unique video
How much revenue does 25k views get you nowadays?
about tree fiddy
ranging from a couple bucks to a thousand
Idk I'm not a full time youtuber so I make about 4 times the amount a Ganker janny makes
>IS THAT....LE HECKIN AAAA MULTIPLATFORM INTERACTIVE ADVENTURE GAME?
this aids was artificially created by israelitetube
man i really wish they'd bring kino like unboxing videos back, what an era
that was just another farce on the road to the current hell
but even before the unboxing trash there was "testing sodas" by the "creative" tubers of the past
its a race to the bottom, always
It was best when it was just skateboarding and dancing videos, and a million hours of copyrighted content illegally uploaded, but no one gave a shit.
