>See Wyll dancing in act 2. >Dance with him. >Tell him that I do not want to have gay sex with him

>See Wyll dancing in act 2
>Dance with him
>Tell him that I do not want to have gay sex with him
>He slinks off, looking horribly betrayed, like I just ripped his heart out of his chest
Why are the romances designed this way?

At least Wyll gets it after that. Gale continually tries to trick you into gay sex, even after several patches of trying to make him less gay. Incredibly, I think Astarion is the least pushy.

Is Gale really that bad, I was a little mean to him that one night where you have to sit with him under the stars and never had a gay moment after that and generally seemed like a good guy

Because they're designed as sex partners and not actual adventure companions.

    >dances with another man
    >"I-I'm not gay!!!"

      >Go to a club
      >Start dancing
      >Other dudes like my vibes start hyping each other up
      >Attract female attention
      >We each go home with a girl that night and have sex unlike the average Gankerirgin
      Skill issue.

If you’d actually seen the scene in question you would understand it is 100% gay and not at all equivalent to the scenario you made up

That scene doesn't lead to sex.

    Getting turned down sucks, man.
Leave it to Ganker to not know what even trying feels like.

You can never fail if you never try.

there's a bug that adds way too many relationship points per interaction and larian thinks its funny so they aren't fixing it entirely.

This actually makes a lot of sense.

Because Larian didn't want to anger the LGBTQ+ death cult and put relationships and romance into the game. Instead everything is romance.

Are you implying that interacting with gays is something of a common situation one might find himself in?

if you live somewhere that isnt your father's turnip farm, yeah sometimes it is.

If it were realistic the gay would be too scared about ruining their friendship to ever make a move and then, years later after they've drifted apart, constantly beat himself up over what could have been.

Most BG3 companions look utterly dejected and hurt when you reply as just being friends it's kinda psychotic lmao

I don't use him but I do talk to him. I had a similar experience to OP except I didn't dance with him because he kept emphasizing the word "partner" in a very suspicious way. More recently I fricked Mizora to get back at him for trying to make me feel bad over his unexpected homosexuality.

    >Dance with him
    >Dancing with a man
Gay as frick. Probably dream of men and think nothing of it.
