Absolutely, but not as part of some dumb mini console. What I don’t know is why they just don’t release it as a collection like they do the Genesis, and do one for the Saturn as well. DC is such an easy console to emulate, and the Saturn even has officially released emulated games on Switch.

The SUPERGAME is slated for 2026 so it can't be HYENAS, the way they worded it made it sound like a Smash clone that brings their IPs together.

its a weird translation issue. its an intiative not a single game. there are multiple "large scale titles" that were in the works for a while. the fps game they mention is hyenas. pso2 ngs was their attempt to modernize their gaas into AAA status and failed. persona 3 remake has a lot of sega meddling while atlus is focusing on their other game.

Capcom's never released either Rival Schools or Project Justice in any capacity for whatever reason and the most they've done with the series in the last 20 years is putting Akira in SF5. It's dumb because there's obviously some demand for Rival Schools and Itsuno wants to make a new one but Capcom has no interest in doing anything with it. A new one with a single player, Persona-style school life/dating sim mode or non-fightan players and cel shaded ASW style graphics would probably do really well for them too.

Power Stone got an updated collection for the PSP that added the PS2 characters into PS1 but that's really it. Still more than Rival Schools has gotten.

I know, it felt like it was three years ago. Wuhan really fricked things up.

the SoC of the SNESC is strong enough to emulate the dreamcasr at full speed. and the SoC of the PSXC is even stronger, capable of takling on NAOMI and Atomiswave.

theres already chips strong enough nowadays that can do the job and are cheap enough, but theres no reason for a dreamcast mini right now, thats all.

I got one of those 8bitdo wireless adapters for the playstaion mini, but I fricked the mapping up when pairing my ps4 controller and now it registers all controllers with x = start and x. I have zero idea how to fix it and just "factory reset" my auto bleem stuff.

Yeah it would be too expensive. You can get a super cheap chip to emulate NES and SNES titles but something like the DC requires much stronger hardware which of course would also increase the price of the system. And barely anyone would be willing to spend 200-300 bucks on a mini.

Even with Raspberry Pi 4 hardware, Saturn emulation is a bit 'iffy'. Dreamcast is a lot more streamlined, and easier to get emulated on SBC hardware. But it does come down to manufacturing costs. Another thing to note is the Dreamcast controller. I suspect they would have to make custom ones with the screen built in. But that might be expensive. I can see why Sega is on the fence with these machines. It comes down to price and availability of parts.
