I think it was genichiro for me. I found lady butterfly more difficult but even when I beat her I was still kind of flailing about. Genichiro sort of simplified it and made it 'click'.
I just spammed dodge attacks and whirlwind slash and shurikened her granny ass every time she jumped. I would've beaten her first try if the butterfly nuke didn't caught me off guard. I died like a b***h on the first phase the second time but teleported out of there to not risk it and simply bled her to death on the third.
after Isshin, that guy teaches you to time your deflects and be discrete more than anyone else. even after him, it might take a few playthroughs to really get the hang of the game
Yeah did all that plus charmless + bell and all the gauntlets. Even done Resurrection Mod recently. It's fun much more fun to actually use the tools and the combat arts.
Genichiro.
Until then, I was not enjoying it at all.
Figuring out how to really play the game mid-boss fight, then applying it in real time was one of the most memorable moments in vidya for me.
It didn't. I even defeated the demon of hatred and the game still didn't click. I mean, I like it, but I can't get the hang of how its supposed to be played.
Never. Beat Genichiro, which is the point people usually say it "clicks" but it didnt for me, hated the combat still, hated the level design. Uninstalled it and went back to DS1 and Elden Ring.
Everything up to this point I could double ichimonji chop, firecracker my way through. I probably mikiri countered less than a dozen times until this final boss.
My second playthrough like two years later. I beat every boss on my first playthrough but I struggled through it and played like it was a souls game. On my second playthrough I made it a rule to never dodge unless it was a perilous attack that required it. I learned to play correctly pretty quickly and enjoyed the game way more.
Lady Butterfly, basically the first fight where you're really forced to learn the game.

from slop
Fromslop are the cashgrabs in-between real games, not Sekiro.
Do people consider armored core a cash grab ? Was gonna get it after sekiro
Armored Core VI was one of the best new games I played this year. It's really good.

>another passivetard who got filtered
oil + flame vent + living force + spiral cloud/floating passage is so good.
prosthetics are for pussies. real sekiro gods only need attack, deflect, jump and dodge

Geni. I went from "I'm so close to dropping this shit" to "this is From's best game" on that rooftop.
the Genichiro tower fight, the game clicked after the first lightning counter.
i had a second click after demon of hatred/Issin, played through the game a second time and had a blast.
It never clicked for me
Great Shinobi Owl
Genichiro.

Lady Butterfly gave me the push to learn the game, Owl was the boss where I became good, and Isshin made me reach my peak
Where do I take the combat books (like the monk book on the side near the main hall of the temple) , I have a few idk where to go however
