Seriously. I heard autists are less or even not affected by the usual monkeybrain advertisement strategies, so I assume that explains why I was fricking mortified observing a streamer playing this game talking about how satisfying it is to open these big prize boxes when all I see is horrid and gaudy BINGBINGBING CHILING CHILING CHILING KACHOW CHI-CHING BLING BLING BLING FLASH FLASH FLASH JINGLE JANGLE LOOK AT THE KEYS JINGLE JINGLE JANGLE POP POP BOOM!
It's like that npc tiktok e-prostitute meme in a videogame form. Grim and morbid is what it is.

Harrumph. Enjoying video games? My superior intellect doesn't allow me to do such a thing.
I wasn't comparing the flashiness to slot machines, I meant how there's barely any gameplay. They're just mindlessly mashing the button. Vampire Saviour is as worthless as Cookie Clicker.

>gameplay is all about using positioning and the weapons given to you to stave off a large horde I'll be honest I haven't play it in years because there are better arcade games for me >barely any gameplay

Take it back
I'm not going to argue that it is advantegous to be a happy moron over an anguished genius when it comes to matters of entertainment, but I'm not going to suppress my disgust just because you aren't happy to know how simple-minded you are.
AAA is too bloated to innovate and too scared to back an interesting concept. Indie is a crowded as frick market but if you have a good idea, can make it work and you can get any momentum, it can go far as frick.
Look at the Dredge guys. Their longterm plan was hoping they could sell 100k copies over a year, but people liked the mix of cosmic horror and fishing, and they made that much on day 1.
Battlebit just saw "hey Battlefield isn't making Battlefield anymore what if we made that but at a more reasonable scale for our budget"
Hell, remember PUBG started as a fricking ARMA/DayZ mod and now battle royales are the dominant multiplayer subgenre of the dominant genre.
not sure what point you're trying to make, but genuine self-made fortunes are less than 0.1% of what makes up the upper class. it's basically only authors and a fraction of vidya devs who truly have done it all by themself.

isn't vampire survivors like 2 dollars?
Also this was already a thing like 10 years ago when Black folk were selling Super Meat boy and Castle Crashers on steam.
As someone who grew up with Newgrounds in the late 90s and early '00s, att the time, I didn't understand how big a deal it was that digital distribution market platforms like Steam or Xbox Live Arcade even existed and were an option for small devs but even before then, Tom Fulp who was part of the primordial soup of browser games still put out the work to get Alien Hominid on 6th gen platforms.
They didn't cost money because there wasn't a sophisticated universal way of doing so and before stuff like the aforementioned Steam, took a shitload of effort to manufacture physical media for distribution.
Flash games were basically these devs' only option and your only option was doing it for free, and once paid digital storefronts became a thing, it suddenly became less of an amateur hobbyist endeavor and more a viable career path.
After that, Flash game websites just became a public portfolio to get you noticed by a publisher.
>tl;dr they're being sold now because you can actually sell them and it's easy for someone to punch in their credit card info to pay for it, and making a game costs real man hours and you don't just pop open gamemaker and just flip switches like "gameplay; yes" and "graphics: on"
but it was free anon,it was a browser game before it moved to steam, it only makes it worse that jzoomers are like that and get swindled by this kind of shit, when they could just have played it for free back then.
YOU
WHAT ARE THOSE MINICLIP GAMES FROM 20 YEARS AGO YOU'D GLADLY PAY REAL MONEY TO PLAY AGAIN? And yes I know there are browsers that still let you play flash, that isn't the point of the question
I wish the Last Stand went back to its "a dude defends his base and grows his arsenal and team against an increasingly dangerous horde of zombies" rather then the randomly generated survival game thing it's doing with the new one. Aftermath isn't a bad game, but I liked the simplicity.
Yes I know you can just buy the old Flash games on Steam but I meant like a new one with the sophistication of modern game engines.
Yes I know this was what Fortnite was before the battle royale.
>sell cheap as frick games
>it's kinda fun
>make millions
How do they get away with it?
1% fun 99% skinnerbox mindfricking

Harrumph. A flashy animation for getting an item? Must be like a slot machine, my superior intellect has noticed this.

>Enjoying Black personball? My superior intellect doesn't allow me to do such a thing.
how come people don't mock boomers for their Black personball addiction? it's a kids game those manchildren are watching after all
My sentiments exactly, my fellow discerning patron.

I hate when developers have an unprofessional twitter with reddit speak
you're mindbroken.
Its ok to like reddit bro. Dont feel ashamed.
go back.
>see how easy it is to become a millionaire by just copying something!?
>doesn't become a millionaire
Why are commies like this

It's fun
That's all that matters
60 years later and arcade games are still the most lucrative video game genre.
>games that would have been free on crazymonkeygames, armorgames, kongregate, and newgrounds are no being sold on steam for $20 dollars
If super smash flash was on steam I'd toss them 5 bux. That's the price of Vampire Survivor
isn't vampire survivors like 2 dollars?
Also this was already a thing like 10 years ago when Black folk were selling Super Meat boy and Castle Crashers on steam.
They already sell games that WERE already free, like Epic Battle Fantasy and Stick RPG 2
>worse games are on steam for triple the price
>that's fine because they are CINEMATIC NARRATIVE DRIVEN EXPERIENCES WITH MUH GRAPHICS
Nothing wrong with that. Developers who make good games that offer people hours of fun deserve money too.
Grim.

>don't put your agenda into it
>make millions
as shrimple as that
>patched the agenda in later
heh, tricked
don't forget the amount of threads there was here when still was a free browser game, shilling may pay
>silly goofy mood talk
YOU

For me, it's alliant defense of the colony
meh at least it's not gacha or battle pass shit
I mean i would love more flash games i played on miniclip 20 years ago.
