It's true. I'm from that era myself, after colony's translation came out in September 2020 there was a train of threads that lasted until the end of November 2020. Only in December did we start having /vrpg/ threads instead.

Well with Fake-Rabi, he originally kept jumping on Mana Tank and MT went along with it since it felt good. I’d suggest just reading the scenes for the dialogue since they’re pretty funny in hindsight.

Awake is just the easiest game in the series. The postgame is definitely pretty difficult but the game also has the easiest superboss in the series. Colony brings the difficulty back up a lot.

said, they're pretty high quality JRPGs. This is my save file for blight - I didn't even 100% the game or go through NG+ and I actually plan to go back and do it because the postgame fights and content is actually really meaningful and interesting, especially once you begin the sequel.
The art for the games is consistently good, although it doesn't cater to every taste. The porn is limited to CGs and the writing isn't spectacular or anything, but if you're into what it presents you, it's good for an occasional fap. I genuinely just want to play through them for the story and gameplay, though. The skill trees/progression and grinding are pretty fun.

Kind of, but it’s nothing too big. Like guardian accessories in blight take 8 kills to craft, but only 4 kills per accessory in all later games. And from colony onward, guardian locations are marked with a crown next to the transfer sword they’re located near.

I guess a got part of hakika being able to develop new games quickly is being able to re-use a lot of his assets. A good chunk of time usually goes just into the art if it's anything non-standard, so please understand and let him be the quickest H-game dev.

Everyone loves Colony but I think people shit on the end/postgame too much. Loved Alzhett and the Ageless Kings were a horrorkino climax. Aeonheart made sense to me too.

Sub par may actually need some help with translating this behemoth of a game, I'm not joking I lived through Paradox part 1's translation at first they went in optimistic but once they saw the sheer size of what they were dealing with. This game might be Part 1 levels of size
Well the game may be big but I doubt it’ll be too big for sub to handle. It’s still just a game that’s being made in a year and a half. Sub has a break until then so I think he’ll be okay with spending a few months translating it.
Also, the game may just take a while for hakika to make because it may have a lot more CGs than any of his other games. We’re getting ones for all the monster girls and probably getting some for the main girls like Tahati. That could easily push the scene count over 100. Which means hakika spends a lot more time drawing art and writing scenes, but sub-par still only has to translate the writing itself.

not just him, any japanese to english translation is difficult because of all the word play involved in that language the -gateri franchise especially is practically undoable in any lanauge but japanese to truly understand what they're talking about, Gintama was mostly the same way with all the puns, double speak, impressions and references they shoot at you a mile a second, there's a person's speaking patterns it's more than just an accent, Manity speaks a different dialect than the rest of her companions so Sub-par had to effectively make her scottish to really help english speakers understand that she talks differently than the others.
I think the big difference here is Paradox has a group of developers and not a lone man like Hakika. Paradox was also split into three games that were created over several years while Hakika will finish this one (hopefully) before Q2 next year. This game will be big but not THAT big.

SEQUEL Awake has been their only blunder as far as I'm concerned, but even then I can admit it's solid as a game. It just has a few weak points that can sour things if you're super nitpicky.
I reserve judgment on the first 6 freeware games for when I get to play them, but L. Step I liked it too for the same reason I liked Asylum; it was full on exploration, and it had charming characters too like Robert and Genma. Plus, ever since I read about those older games I wanted to have a chance to journey around with legends like Arknoah and Rifar. God I wish Subpar translated the other games too, frick.

I don't really get this mindset. You're not literally mana tank. He's a self insert. The MC from Ldepth and ino are also intended to be self inserts for the player, so what's the problem?
Honestky I feel like making MT the primary MC for every sequel game has spoiled the fans and squanders a lot of writing potential the series has because it limits the stories that can be told, because MT *must* eventually meet every girl in canon and have them fall in love with him. For example that time travel scenario in Colony was so contrived. There's no reason we couldn't have had multiple rotating male protagonist self inserts occurring across a large time frame in universe, thus preventing any cucking while still keeping the stories fresh. Maybe even make them reincarnations with similar mana quality so people don't get up in arms.

More people also need to understand that hakika has always done standalone games for his entire career, and SEQUEL is his first long-running series. So if he wants to make standalone games like L.Depth or Innocent Rules, that’s not a big deal since making those kinds of games is in his blood at this point. Awake's postgame is very short and does lead into colony, yes
There are four things you should do before starting colony >Underworld >Border Zone >Small main quest storyline with Beryl >Meet Saxa in the kitchen at night, then do her events. You don't need to beat the boss at the end of it
After doing all those, you're good to start colony
How the hell do I beat the core remains at Tjuerma #1 in Kludge? It keeps wiping out my party after a couple of turns and even though Dita always survives the attack she then just gets killed before I can have her heal or revive Kuu and it isn't one of those scripted to lose fights either.
If you didn't notice already, it does nothing and constantly fully heals your party. It's a dps race fight. Use Kuu Yolnaya and Faria, use that Combatant part you found earlier on someone too

I wouldn’t say there’s a required level for the regular enemies there because you can beat them all pretty handily if you just use Safe Walking to get a preemptive, Warlock bind to get a free turn, and whatever you want to nuke them. The best prefix in the game is Supreme. +30% to all stats. The other regular +50% to a single stat ones like Dauntless kind of pale in comparison to Supreme. I remember using one +50% ATK gun on my Underdoctor and then two Supreme armor pieces.

said, they're pretty high quality JRPGs. This is my save file for blight - I didn't even 100% the game or go through NG+ and I actually plan to go back and do it because the postgame fights and content is actually really meaningful and interesting, especially once you begin the sequel.
The art for the games is consistently good, although it doesn't cater to every taste. The porn is limited to CGs and the writing isn't spectacular or anything, but if you're into what it presents you, it's good for an occasional fap. I genuinely just want to play through them for the story and gameplay, though. The skill trees/progression and grinding are pretty fun.

Kind of, but it’s nothing too big. Like guardian accessories in blight take 8 kills to craft, but only 4 kills per accessory in all later games. And from colony onward, guardian locations are marked with a crown next to the transfer sword they’re located near.

Well the game may be big but I doubt it’ll be too big for sub to handle. It’s still just a game that’s being made in a year and a half. Sub has a break until then so I think he’ll be okay with spending a few months translating it.
Also, the game may just take a while for hakika to make because it may have a lot more CGs than any of his other games. We’re getting ones for all the monster girls and probably getting some for the main girls like Tahati. That could easily push the scene count over 100. Which means hakika spends a lot more time drawing art and writing scenes, but sub-par still only has to translate the writing itself.

not just him, any japanese to english translation is difficult because of all the word play involved in that language the -gateri franchise especially is practically undoable in any lanauge but japanese to truly understand what they're talking about, Gintama was mostly the same way with all the puns, double speak, impressions and references they shoot at you a mile a second, there's a person's speaking patterns it's more than just an accent, Manity speaks a different dialect than the rest of her companions so Sub-par had to effectively make her scottish to really help english speakers understand that she talks differently than the others.

I think the big difference here is Paradox has a group of developers and not a lone man like Hakika. Paradox was also split into three games that were created over several years while Hakika will finish this one (hopefully) before Q2 next year. This game will be big but not THAT big.

SEQUEL Awake has been their only blunder as far as I'm concerned, but even then I can admit it's solid as a game. It just has a few weak points that can sour things if you're super nitpicky.
I reserve judgment on the first 6 freeware games for when I get to play them, but L. Step I liked it too for the same reason I liked Asylum; it was full on exploration, and it had charming characters too like Robert and Genma.
Plus, ever since I read about those older games I wanted to have a chance to journey around with legends like Arknoah and Rifar. God I wish Subpar translated the other games too, frick.

Honestky I feel like making MT the primary MC for every sequel game has spoiled the fans and squanders a lot of writing potential the series has because it limits the stories that can be told, because MT *must* eventually meet every girl in canon and have them fall in love with him. For example that time travel scenario in Colony was so contrived. There's no reason we couldn't have had multiple rotating male protagonist self inserts occurring across a large time frame in universe, thus preventing any cucking while still keeping the stories fresh. Maybe even make them reincarnations with similar mana quality so people don't get up in arms.

How the hell do I beat the core remains at Tjuerma #1 in Kludge? It keeps wiping out my party after a couple of turns and even though Dita always survives the attack she then just gets killed before I can have her heal or revive Kuu and it isn't one of those scripted to lose fights either.
If you didn't notice already, it does nothing and constantly fully heals your party. It's a dps race fight. Use Kuu Yolnaya and Faria, use that Combatant part you found earlier on someone too

I wouldn’t say there’s a required level for the regular enemies there because you can beat them all pretty handily if you just use Safe Walking to get a preemptive, Warlock bind to get a free turn, and whatever you want to nuke them. The real problem is the bosses, you probably need to be over level 300 to handle them normally. The whole goal at that point is to just explore enough to get landmarks to unlock the second Expert farming room, that place is nuts for leveling.

Liberty Step question: What golden 30-50% prefixes do I need to be on a lookout for?
Obviously the +XX% to everything, but besides that the -20% damage taken (intercepting) is the best shit. Note that some butthole bosses, including the final superboss, have strong AoE so you can't go full glasscannon on your damage dealers.
The best prefix in the game is Supreme. +30% to all stats. The other regular +50% to a single stat ones like Dauntless kind of pale in comparison to Supreme. I remember using one +50% ATK gun on my Underdoctor and then two Supreme armor pieces.
If you can’t get Supreme gear, get Excellent at least since that’s +20% to all stats.

You need to do Faltoga’s events especially event 31. Event 31 is a pain because you need to explore Cursed Port for it but you unlock the event way before even getting to that area.
