Stuff like virgin/non-virgin is obvious, but heat and frustrated seem more complicated.
The former is probably just from doing the sexo a lot, but does the second require you to stop doing sexo for a certain amount of real world time or is it something different?

Yeah I'm stunned at how good L.Depth was, especially given how bad Asylum ended up being. It seems almost entirely free of all the things I usually dislike about Hakika's writing.
I particularly enjoyed the atmosphere and how none of the big realizations were obnoxiously spelled out to you well except for the entirely unnecessary last bit of the default ending but that's just because Hakika is incapable of writing a bittersweet ending.
I don't know why but I never felt bad about Shin dying. Maybe it's because she's basically a side character or maybe because her final words were "my only regret is not getting some of that DICK".Sure it's a big deal for Lestea, but she's back to sucking dick like it's nothing the second we get to Alzhett.

Would seem to be Will, unless the man at the end is not supposed to be the protagonist of the nightmare. The journal was written by Nora, says he wrote his last story and fell asleep never to wake up. The girls disappeared next, and so on. But Nora died when the nightmare cleared and only the man remained so that's kind of strange.
Will is the man you wake up as at the end of the game, and is the father of the sisters. Your main character is not Will, rather a creation of Will (a Zolam, to be precise) that looks like him and can enact on his thoughts. The narration that shows up every now and then is from Will.
I'm just going off of the clues the bad end and the good end give. >real Will wakes up at the good end, has different eyes and hair color than the nightmare Will. You absolutely play as the nightmare monster who's behind everything. Caith straight up tells you she's surprised at how eager you are to have a nice day in the good end. What I don't get is why Caith tells the monster to live on for Miseri and Inel if it was unrelated to them. Was Will specifically a nightmare monster all along? He's certainly some sort of a monster and that theory would explain a lot. Caith confirms the monster's death in her report, but she might have been lying to give Will a new life as a "human" .

actually, this smooths out the rest of the wrinkles of the plot. could be that will finds that nightmares grant wishes, so he gives himself up as an offering to heal his daughters in the dream. if you're good path, the mc-nightmare monster honors the spirit of the deal despite forgetting for some reason. will wakes up since the monster using him is gone. if you're bad path, the mc-nightmare monster forgets the deal and just wants to wake up.
But I want to know why. He was the one who caused the nightmare in the first place, presumable to save his daughters. So why would he now decide to kill them in order to awaken? Unless the text instructing (You) to kill Inel + Miseri and awaken isn't from Will, or maybe he's just been corrupted by too much exposure to the nightmare's darkness/hatred/sorrow.

For all I care there's some cult in the village that's giving people diseases as salvation, one of you daughters, Ava, dies to it, you go furioso and kill everyone, then create some nightmare and trap your the daugters that are also sick to the anime iris disease. I don't fricking know what happened.

The Story: Nora was the daughter of a village of backwards humans that hated monsters with zeal. They found a monster who was infected with a disease that only affects and kills other monsters and named it the Divine. This cult now goes around using the brain deadish monster's infected body to slaughter other monsters they can trick into coming to their cult.
Nora and Will met at some point and fell in love. Will was one of the rare few men in Ordowald so he hooked up with Nora with the blessings of the village. They have three kids, Inel, Miseri, and a boy named Ava. Things are going great but then it turns out Will was a monster in disguise. One of the villagers saw this and rated him out to Nora's mother Gertrude, who was the head of the village. The monster haters move the family into the mansion where they conduct purgings of monsters regularly, hoping to kill off Nora's family.
All three of their kids get stunted in different ways because of growing up in the mansion filled with this anti monster disease. Inel is mentally slow, Miseri is sickly and tiny, and Ava just is born suffering. Will and Nora don't know what to do until they find that there might be a cure for this somewhere else. Ava dies and physically unravels in Will's arms as he tries to get his son to the cure. Will snaps, goes back and kills everyone (or at least Gertrude).
Will makes the darkness/nightmare aura around the mansion to save his remaining two daughters. I say this because Inel and Miseri both get their major problems fixed while trapped. Game starts.

That's pretty much the most basic explanation. There's obviously more deep lore that expands the story but isn't necessary to understanding the core plot, like, for example there's a monster killing cult that uses monster aids that only kills monsters, Will the writegay was probably a monster of some sort, which is why his children were vulnerable to monster aids while his wife wasn't and why the wife's mother was wary of her marrying a monster. The witch in the story is the wife's mother, Gertrude, who tricked them into moving into a mansion which had monster aids. She also somehow stops Will from getting help, which is why Ava, the youngest daughter, dies.
There's also even more vague stuff for people to argue about, like whether the two daughters who leave the nightmare at the end are actually the same daughters who got dragged into it (Caith refers to them as monsters, but they always were part monster)

She can travel through space and time, there is literally nothing stopping her from finding the villain of the episode and teleporting Rabi's hoof directly into its face before it can even begin to cause problems. Yes, she casts from hitpoints, so she has a reason to hold back unless it's absolutely necessary but literally every SEQUEL villain is a world ending threat so she doesn't have any excuse not to at least look into the future and see if mana tank wins, so her not feeling the need to interfere already guarantees that you will succeed and nobody important will get hurt. .
I don't want to play L Depth or the future moronic dragon shota game, after asylum and kludge, I know I will be disappointed and angry, I know it will get pretentious as frick. And I know the girls may or may not be annoying c**ts like in asylum and kludge that deserve to just be deleted. The fact that it's a puzzle game, meaning not my cup of tea at all, doesn't help.
And yet. And yet. AND YET. I know I'll end up playing it, because it's part of the series that I once cherished, and that maybe it won't be bad, and maybe one day it'll become good again, and that if I don't play it, I'll be a dirty secondary who won't know shit if the series ever come back from being bad.

Don't know if it just me being burned out on the main games but this spinoff was pretty decent compared to asylum. Also helped fleshing out what the average person experiences in Ordowald without manatank's plot armor and friends. Really drives the apocalypse feeling how fricked up the world actually is. Kinda reminds me of SH2 where there are bigger things happening outside of the MC's control but that doesn't matter because they have their own personal quest. Always enjoyed stories like that.

Asylum was trash because it was mostly worldbuilding and 2deep4u plots which Hakika isn't very good at. Add boring characters that went out of their way to be as unlikeable as possible and had barely any interactions on top of all the weird fetishes because that surely makes the game more edgy and mature and you end up with a metaphorical and literal pile of shit.
L.Depth is focused on a small cast of characters with nothing threatening to destroy the world for once, so Hakika gets to flex his polish and production value while writing relatable people that talk about themselves and their feelings a lot and do stuff that mostly only affects them. That's way better than another story about Archpriest Schaum, God of Suppositories, Harbinger of the Donutpocalypse.

So. L.Depth spoilers. Who is the big Zolam in the mansion? Is it Will? That one section where you're playing as it and chasing down the MC makes me think that. Plus it gives you Unraveled Flesh just like the baby in the cave (which is obviously Ava) does.
I feel like Zolams are just manifestations of the nightmare. They're trying to keep you in it.
You're trying to get out but they won't allow it. And I don't buy that Ava is the eye Zolam in the caves. You can clearly see hist ghost in the house up north. It probably imitates the childlike part with laughs to frick with you.
If it's L.Depth you're asking about, it doesn't play like the usual games at all, if you wanted to be mean about it you could say it's the walking sim equivalent of RPG maker games.
That said, if you just enjoy Hakika's style and don't mind a game mostly about story and exploration with horrors element, then you should enjoy it.

I've gotten stuck twice now in what I think are pretty easy parts of the game. One that I solved eventually, and a new one where I can't figure out how to cut the vines leading to a cave at the end of the forest.
Sadly I'm just terrible at this genre.

Since the mansion was near the ritual site, it probably just got dragged into the nightmare alongside everything else. The Divine only hurts monsters, so depending on whether Ino is considered a monster, they might have safe and loving sexo. The monster companions probably shouldn't get anywhere near it though.

How to get the bad ending anooons?
first you get to the part where the game makes it clear you get to choose, choose to kill kill kill kill kill kill kill kill
and then do kill kill kill kill kill
Once you get to the kill kill kill kill kill it becomes pretty obvious what to do, but if you somehow fail to figure it out, kill kill kill kill kill kill kill kill
I’ll list the ending requirements here since they haven’t been listed yet
Ending B: go back down the well and do the encounter there. Go back into the cave and do the encounter there. After doing both, squish the lumps you get. Go to Miseri or Inel while they’re in one of their own rooms. Show them the knife.
Ending C: Get the girls pregnant by fricking them a lot. Talk to them, they’ll talk about their pregnancies and for you to take responsibility. Make sure you get all the scenes in the game aside from the bottom three in the middle of the memory space too. Provided you have crafted the Key to awakening, go to the final door and pick the option with the pink ????s instead of the normal option that leads to the good end.
I hope the game after Innocent Rules is about Vaeltria and going back to the Blight gang, considering all the Vaeltria references in L.Depth.
I suppose Innocent Rules could take place there as well, but I don't want Ino hanging out with the Blight gang. I don't like NTR and I doubt Rabi would be able to stop herself from doing a little /ss/ again.
Innocent Rules is already somewhat confirmed to be in Cocooned Land. Remember that robot in kludge that was seemingly crazy and mentioned the “universe inside the cocoon”? I think that’s talking about the setting for Innocent Rules.

Yes. The game is secretly a game about an adventure Caith has. Caith is the main character, if you think about it. She’s the one who solves the mysteries.
I don't think it adds much to her story, we already knew she's an adventurer who specializes in solving nightmare monsters. It's just a small, mostly unrelated story. Basically the nightmare village you've seen in Kludge or the graveyard in Colony, but you play as someone trapped in the dream instead of the adventurer who kicks the monster's dick off. It also fleshes out the monster racism in Vaeltria a bit, since we didn't really get to experience it in Blight.

Binanon / linuxanons: I zipped up my patched version of L.Depth which runs natively on Linux, along with some instructions for doing the whole process.
You don't need to pollute the game directories the way you've described. Writing a basic shell script to run nwjs from its own directory with the game directory as an argument is much cleaner. You only need one copy of nwjs this way, too.

After doing the cave with the baby, Miseri runs off on her own and you have to chase her. You get the plank from the back of the mansion's front door, and then proceed backwards through the woods to find her. In one of the houses in the woods, a shadowy figure will start chasing you. If he catches you, you see that pic. You don't die though.

Just talk to the girls, then give them the items they want that you find around while exploring. After you give them the items, you can make the key. Flesh crushing and knife stuff is only for ending B.

This series was easy to get into when it was just blight awake colony. Now I feel weird talking about it with people getting into the series because there are 7 translated games, with an 8th on the way (Innocent Rules). Like we’re slowly approching Trails tier of required reading material.
I like the deep lore and all the connections, but I think the main stories are getting too complicated with all the evil cults and apocalypses happening one after another. The deep lore should stay in flavor text and rare events you need to work for instead of being pushed into your face with all the references being spelled out for you.

The thing about pregnancy is that you can only really trigger it once the girls accepted their fate and decided the Room is more or less safe, so it doesn't make much sense for them to worry about suddenly feeling unsafe. Nothing really ever came running at them out of the mirror, maybe aside from Blindfold on one of his schizo episodes, but that's easily avoided.

It's clunky but SOULFUL. You can try playing Awake -> Colony. You might not enjoy Awake very much if you hated Blight, but Colony is actually kino and may make suffering through Awake worth it. otherwise just play black souls

I unironically only married Fake Rabi in the previous games. Not interested in the type of girls Hakika puts in and the scenes have been getting steadily more and more not my thing. The continuity is also a minus since it means there's a definite canon to follow and it cheapens out character interactions.

Frick I hate myself I'm legit too scared to explore the next part of this game because the darkness is everywhere and what dwells within it can get you with literal seconds before the kill screen pops up. Dammit! I've already had two nightmares since I started this game too
I think the reason Blindfold wears a blindfold is that since monster aids starts in the eyes (which is why Miseri and Inel have funny pupils), it's probably safe to assume the eyes would get unraveled first. Blindfold had way more exposure to monster aids than the girls, both because he got trapped in the Divine's cave as Will and he came face to face with it in the nightmare while the girls didn't. That's also why he splats the second he gets out of the limbo of the dream while the girls don't and why he has to consume everyone in the dream to survive awakening, with killing the girls giving him his eyes back.

Basically just reach the end of the story, you'll know when it happens since the dialogue mentions making choices and there'll be a Now: Choice thing in the notes menu. You go talk to the girls, they ask for you to find some items, you give them the items, talk to em more, and make the key to escape. It's pretty self-explanatory.

No, I think it's just dumb. The protag obviously exhibits the thoughts of Will, in two different sides of him. First side of him wants to kill the sisters so he can escape and get revenge on the Crimsonblooms and the villagers. Second side of him wants to help the sisters escape, at the cost of his own life. Problem is, he dies in Ending A right when escaping, but he also wakes up in the bed right after. So I don't get it.

In B- is it B? Pretty sure L. Depth takes place after Kludge since in Kludge Caith says she's going to check out a nightmare in Vaeltria, which is where the mansion in L. Depth is located.
Is there anything you'd change in the Sequel games now that we have the benefit of hindsight? I'd probably have removed one of the Colmanas, Alma to be exact. She didn't really do anything. Her cat scenes should've had Nazuna turn into a fox and sneak around. I probably would've rolled the characters of Sheena and Prillia together too. Have Sheena join early on and be helpful in combat and out by teaming up with manatank to fix the house and teach him crafting. Then she leaves the party at the end. Feel free to call me out for shit tastes if I insulted your waifus.

Got the ending where we get out of the nightmare and are sent into a bighter version of the mansion (the real one maybe?) I'm guessing this the good end, any ideas on how to get the other 2?
There are four endings.
For Ending A1you do what you just did
For Ending A2 you need to beat the game within 35 minutes of starting
For Ending B you have to go back to the well and cave and after you get both items there crush them and show the crested knife to either sister when they're in their room
For Ending C you have to unlock all sex scenes except 3 in the middle you have frick frick frick the sisters and impregnate them after that you go to the door to leave and click the pink ???? option. After that you can unlock those 3 last scenes and that's it.

There's nothing new from the second mirror area (there's an eyeless painting that I can't do anything to, and there's a door outside that I can't open), and as far as I can tell, there's also nothing new inside the mansion.

I unironically only married Fake Rabi in the previous games. Not interested in the type of girls Hakika puts in and the scenes have been getting steadily more and more not my thing. I play lots of games without sound mainly because if i don't have my hearing aids I can barely hear it at all and with no headphones i don't want to be blasting that shit for other people to hear either. I assume based on what you said that means there is a sound indication for checking the closet and lingering on it then getting in probably listening to the monster's growling or it thrashing the room looking for you.

great hero, loved by everyone, effectively invincible and immortal, randomly betrays everyone and decides to end the world because she's depressed even though she knows it still won't kill her, needs to be saved by d*ta of all people. Also this. Kludge just has an amazingly bad story, and the main reason I find this shocking is because Colony proved that Hakika can make stories that are better than most big name games. I'm now convinced Colony was a fluke.
Am I still looking forward to SEQUEL 5? Frick yes, but 100%ing Kludge is going to be a chore, something the others, even Awake couldn't even begin to be accused of.
The mistake was doing this whole super DEEP and ambitious overarching story and it just had to end with some overblown idiocy. What people praise Colony for? Shin's story mainly, which was self-contained.

Nta but you don't have to go far: It's a plot that just work and exist, everything is perfectly balanced, the drama is present, even the nightmarish stuff, but it doesn't overstay it's welcome, characters are dynamic, and okay fine maybe not Emela and Rabi, but Auris and Lestea are peak sequel characters.
Until post game just crashed the plot by making it all the fault of one bad man despite teasing us with the possibility that it wouldn't be a problem you can just kill a guy for, and that the problem was the country itself, and overall feel more like a filler than anything. It's the start of the 2deep4u, and hakika should have learnt his lesson, but he didn't.

hakika's been making games for close to a decade now and in that time he's clocked in 7 non-H freeware games, with the last one (Brand of Ronis) canceled in favour of doing H games, but apparently parts of the story were used for Colony. Sequel has four titles, two spinoffs and even joke games. Not counting them he's released 13 games since 2013. Absolute madman! Most of them even have different ways of specialization, with skill tree standardization only becoming a thing for SEQUEL.
A small part of of him pumping out so many games is probably that he re-uses equips wholesale (Adventurer's Charm anyone?) as well as art. There's still items more or less straight from his freeware era in modern SEQUEL.
It's pretty spooky because the atmosphere is really good. There's also jumpscares, but they're not very scary so they shouldn't get you more than once.
It's not very oppressive since most of the time if you start pissing yourself you can run back to a safe space and hug Miseri's milkers until you calm down.

Anyone notice that Asylum, L.Deph and now Innocent Rules all start with "You wake up somewhere you don't know without memory of who you are but your name? or in Blindfold's case not even that. The girls didn't even give him a nickname either, Blindfold is what we call him and now there's a strange man.
Now back on the subject of L.Deph how is it that the girls did meet Caith once while were schizoing out underground but during the good ed when she lore dumps on you as you make your way out of the nightmare they can't see her? Finally what do we call blindfold now that he no longer has it in reality and has white hair? I think his eyes are red,too now that I think on it the way caith interacts with him at that scene is just like the man with Ino in the new game what is going on here?[ /spoiler]
Blight, Awake and Kludge all start that way too.
Colony is literally the only game where you don't start with plot convenient amnesia, and even then you could make an argument that while Mana Tank probably knows what he's doing and why he's there, the game doesn't bother to mention it and it almost seems to mislead (You) on purpose.
The white hair guy at the end is probably Will, Miseri and Inel's dad. Blindfold is the nightmare monster who created everything you see in L.Depth from Will's dreams and memories. Will was also some sort of monster, so he and Blindfold may or may not be the same person, which would make Blindfold's canon name Will. Caith can enter the nightmare-infested version of the real world, since it occupies the same space. The nightmare village in Kludge works in a similar way, you can enter the village and see the dreamers inside, but you can't enter their individual dreams.
As for why Caith can't be seen by the girls in the ending, you probably have to speculate a bit: The Room and the corridor between the door and the real world is almost definitely not a corrupted space from the real world, and instead is something purely in (You)r mind, which is the reason for all the puzzles - (You)r subconsciousness trying to stop you from waking up. Caith can't enter that space herself, since it's not connected to any location in the real world, so she has to project herself into the nightmare monster's mind, which would make it be the only one capable of interacting with her. At least that's the only thing I can come up with, aside from her just choosing to somehow hide herself from the girls for fun.
But Anon, Will IS blindfold-san.
The report lists 6 monsters and no humans in the nightmare. The greater monster has to be Blindfold, because it tore the nightmare apart and unraveled, which is exactly what (You) do. The two female nightmare monsters are obviously Miseri and Inel and the rest is the two zolams and mommy. There is no room for Blindfold on the list if he's not the one to have created the nightmare and Caith mentions that she saw a sleeping man and his two feeble daughters get consumed by the nightmare. We know Will was a monster and his children inherited his monster blood, so knowing Blindfold has Will's memories, Will being Miseri and Inel's dad and Blindfold, Miseri and Inel all being the same species would point to Will and Blindfold being one and the same. Will got really mad about being tricked into killing his daughter, went to sleep and weaved his own dream into the nightmare you see in the game.
Of course you can argue that Will was a different type of monster and a random, completely unrelated nightmare monster swooped in to create the nightmare from his dreams, with Miseri and Inel being copies of the original sisters, but that would imply the original Miseri and Inel are dead, since Caith clearly states Will got dragged into the nightmare with his two feeble daughters, but he wakes up alone and the girls who run to meet you are clearly the nightmare monster versions of the girls. Technically possible, but a much less satisfying ending.

Ending B: go back down the well and do the encounter there. Go back into the cave and do the encounter there. After doing both, squish the lumps you get. Go to Miseri or Inel while they’re in one of their own rooms. Show them the knife.
Ending C: Get the girls pregnant by fricking them a lot. Talk to them, they’ll talk about their pregnancies and for you to take responsibility. Make sure you get all the scenes in the game aside from the bottom three in the middle of the memory space too. Provided you have crafted the Key to awakening, go to the final door and pick the option with the pink ????s instead of the normal option that leads to the good end.

Yeah I'm stunned at how good L.Depth was, especially given how bad Asylum ended up being. It seems almost entirely free of all the things I usually dislike about Hakika's writing.
I particularly enjoyed the atmosphere and how none of the big realizations were obnoxiously spelled out to you well except for the entirely unnecessary last bit of the default ending but that's just because Hakika is incapable of writing a bittersweet ending.
I don't know why but I never felt bad about Shin dying. Maybe it's because she's basically a side character or maybe because her final words were "my only regret is not getting some of that DICK".Sure it's a big deal for Lestea, but she's back to sucking dick like it's nothing the second we get to Alzhett.

a warning, you can continue and get the other ends after the normal one but the other two are both points of no return so keep a backup save
Would seem to be Will, unless the man at the end is not supposed to be the protagonist of the nightmare. The journal was written by Nora, says he wrote his last story and fell asleep never to wake up. The girls disappeared next, and so on. But Nora died when the nightmare cleared and only the man remained so that's kind of strange.

Will is the man you wake up as at the end of the game, and is the father of the sisters. Your main character is not Will, rather a creation of Will (a Zolam, to be precise) that looks like him and can enact on his thoughts. The narration that shows up every now and then is from Will.
But then why is Will trying to kill his own daughters if he created the nightmare to save them?

You absolutely play as the nightmare monster who's behind everything. Caith straight up tells you she's surprised at how eager you are to have a nice day in the good end. What I don't get is why Caith tells the monster to live on for Miseri and Inel if it was unrelated to them. Was Will specifically a nightmare monster all along? He's certainly some sort of a monster and that theory would explain a lot. Caith confirms the monster's death in her report, but she might have been lying to give Will a new life as a "human" .
I'm leaning towards Will being a nightmare monster all along, but if the picture book he made is to be believed then he wasn't, and asked a nightmare monster to create the nightmare at his own expense.
actually, this smooths out the rest of the wrinkles of the plot. could be that will finds that nightmares grant wishes, so he gives himself up as an offering to heal his daughters in the dream. if you're good path, the mc-nightmare monster honors the spirit of the deal despite forgetting for some reason. will wakes up since the monster using him is gone. if you're bad path, the mc-nightmare monster forgets the deal and just wants to wake up.

But I want to know why. He was the one who caused the nightmare in the first place, presumable to save his daughters. So why would he now decide to kill them in order to awaken? Unless the text instructing (You) to kill Inel + Miseri and awaken isn't from Will, or maybe he's just been corrupted by too much exposure to the nightmare's darkness/hatred/sorrow.
(You) are not Will, you are the nightmare monster trying to take back control of its dream and escape into the real world. You may or may not also be Will, but you are not aware of it. The monster might have some form of affection towards the daughters, but it knows it has to consume everything to break free.

For all I care there's some cult in the village that's giving people diseases as salvation, one of you daughters, Ava, dies to it, you go furioso and kill everyone, then create some nightmare and trap your the daugters that are also sick to the anime iris disease. I don't fricking know what happened.
I think I understand the larger plot. But the part I'm most unsure of is who exactly are we? Are we actually the father, Will, a fragment of him, or someone else entirely? I'm also not sure if it's a translation ting, but was Ava supposed to be our son or daughter?
The Story:
Nora was the daughter of a village of backwards humans that hated monsters with zeal. They found a monster who was infected with a disease that only affects and kills other monsters and named it the Divine. This cult now goes around using the brain deadish monster's infected body to slaughter other monsters they can trick into coming to their cult.
Nora and Will met at some point and fell in love. Will was one of the rare few men in Ordowald so he hooked up with Nora with the blessings of the village. They have three kids, Inel, Miseri, and a boy named Ava. Things are going great but then it turns out Will was a monster in disguise. One of the villagers saw this and rated him out to Nora's mother Gertrude, who was the head of the village. The monster haters move the family into the mansion where they conduct purgings of monsters regularly, hoping to kill off Nora's family.
All three of their kids get stunted in different ways because of growing up in the mansion filled with this anti monster disease. Inel is mentally slow, Miseri is sickly and tiny, and Ava just is born suffering. Will and Nora don't know what to do until they find that there might be a cure for this somewhere else. Ava dies and physically unravels in Will's arms as he tries to get his son to the cure. Will snaps, goes back and kills everyone (or at least Gertrude).
Will makes the darkness/nightmare aura around the mansion to save his remaining two daughters. I say this because Inel and Miseri both get their major problems fixed while trapped. Game starts.
Nora is alive, she's the one who got Caith to come to the nightmare.

I don't think will killed Gertrude or anyone in the village, since Caith's report says to deliver the news to Gertrude.

That's pretty much the most basic explanation. There's obviously more deep lore that expands the story but isn't necessary to understanding the core plot, like, for example there's a monster killing cult that uses monster aids that only kills monsters, Will the writegay was probably a monster of some sort, which is why his children were vulnerable to monster aids while his wife wasn't and why the wife's mother was wary of her marrying a monster. The witch in the story is the wife's mother, Gertrude, who tricked them into moving into a mansion which had monster aids. She also somehow stops Will from getting help, which is why Ava, the youngest daughter, dies.
There's also even more vague stuff for people to argue about, like whether the two daughters who leave the nightmare at the end are actually the same daughters who got dragged into it (Caith refers to them as monsters, but they always were part monster)

I suppose interference from the Gods or Transcendent's like Saxa could be used to explain her lack of involvement.

L.Depth is actually unironically great though. Hakika's writing went to shit ever since he became obsessed with each game being part of a massive interconnected story about one world ending scheme after another and a bloated universe full of irrelevant fluff. L.Depth is mostly detached from SEQUEL, so he can write what he's actually good at, personal stories and character interactions.
Don't know if it just me being burned out on the main games but this spinoff was pretty decent compared to asylum. Also helped fleshing out what the average person experiences in Ordowald without manatank's plot armor and friends. Really drives the apocalypse feeling how fricked up the world actually is. Kinda reminds me of SH2 where there are bigger things happening outside of the MC's control but that doesn't matter because they have their own personal quest. Always enjoyed stories like that.

Add boring characters that went out of their way to be as unlikeable as possible and had barely any interactions on top of all the weird fetishes because that surely makes the game more edgy and mature and you end up with a metaphorical and literal pile of shit.
L.Depth is focused on a small cast of characters with nothing threatening to destroy the world for once, so Hakika gets to flex his polish and production value while writing relatable people that talk about themselves and their feelings a lot and do stuff that mostly only affects them. That's way better than another story about Archpriest Schaum, God of Suppositories, Harbinger of the Donutpocalypse.

Who is the big Zolam in the mansion? Is it Will? That one section where you're playing as it and chasing down the MC makes me think that. Plus it gives you Unraveled Flesh just like the baby in the cave (which is obviously Ava) does.
I feel like Zolams are just manifestations of the nightmare. They're trying to keep you in it.
You're trying to get out but they won't allow it. And I don't buy that Ava is the eye Zolam in the caves. You can clearly see hist ghost in the house up north. It probably imitates the childlike part with laughs to frick with you.

If it's L.Depth you're asking about, it doesn't play like the usual games at all, if you wanted to be mean about it you could say it's the walking sim equivalent of RPG maker games.
That said, if you just enjoy Hakika's style and don't mind a game mostly about story and exploration with horrors element, then you should enjoy it.

The Divine only hurts monsters, so depending on whether Ino is considered a monster, they might have safe and loving sexo. The monster companions probably shouldn't get anywhere near it though.

How to get the bad ending anooons?
I’ll list the ending requirements here since they haven’t been listed yet
Ending B: go back down the well and do the encounter there. Go back into the cave and do the encounter there. After doing both, squish the lumps you get. Go to Miseri or Inel while they’re in one of their own rooms. Show them the knife.
Ending C: Get the girls pregnant by fricking them a lot. Talk to them, they’ll talk about their pregnancies and for you to take responsibility. Make sure you get all the scenes in the game aside from the bottom three in the middle of the memory space too. Provided you have crafted the Key to awakening, go to the final door and pick the option with the pink ????s instead of the normal option that leads to the good end.

I hope the game after Innocent Rules is about Vaeltria and going back to the Blight gang, considering all the Vaeltria references in L.Depth.
I suppose Innocent Rules could take place there as well, but I don't want Ino hanging out with the Blight gang. I don't like NTR and I doubt Rabi would be able to stop herself from doing a little /ss/ again.
Innocent Rules is already somewhat confirmed to be in Cocooned Land. Remember that robot in kludge that was seemingly crazy and mentioned the “universe inside the cocoon”? I think that’s talking about the setting for Innocent Rules.

Do the Palgadol chapter, you get good gear and lots of levels. It’s made to be done right after the main story is over too.
Remember that values in RPGMaker are 2*n+1. So if you have say 1000 EXP to find its value in Cheat Engine you have to search for 2001.

Yes. The game is secretly a game about an adventure Caith has. Caith is the main character, if you think about it. She’s the one who solves the mysteries.
I don't think it adds much to her story, we already knew she's an adventurer who specializes in solving nightmare monsters. It's just a small, mostly unrelated story. Basically the nightmare village you've seen in Kludge or the graveyard in Colony, but you play as someone trapped in the dream instead of the adventurer who kicks the monster's dick off. It also fleshes out the monster racism in Vaeltria a bit, since we didn't really get to experience it in Blight.

You don't need to pollute the game directories the way you've described. Writing a basic shell script to run nwjs from its own directory with the game directory as an argument is much cleaner. You only need one copy of nwjs this way, too.

After doing the cave with the baby, Miseri runs off on her own and you have to chase her. You get the plank from the back of the mansion's front door, and then proceed backwards through the woods to find her. In one of the houses in the woods, a shadowy figure will start chasing you. If he catches you, you see that pic. You don't die though.

I love the world and lore of this series, I just think it’s getting a bit daunting for newer players.
I like the deep lore and all the connections, but I think the main stories are getting too complicated with all the evil cults and apocalypses happening one after another. The deep lore should stay in flavor text and rare events you need to work for instead of being pushed into your face with all the references being spelled out for you.

I was disappointed at how little getting them pregnant did, not for fetish reasons, but because it would've added to the oppressive atmosphere if the characters were worried about raising a child in a hostile place. More dialogue than one box of "hehe take responsibility" would've added to the impact and seriousness of the status

The thing about pregnancy is that you can only really trigger it once the girls accepted their fate and decided the Room is more or less safe, so it doesn't make much sense for them to worry about suddenly feeling unsafe. Nothing really ever came running at them out of the mirror, maybe aside from Blindfold on one of his schizo episodes, but that's easily avoided.

It's clunky but SOULFUL. You can try playing Awake -> Colony. You might not enjoy Awake very much if you hated Blight, but Colony is actually kino and may make suffering through Awake worth it.

It used to be better though. The scenes in Blight and Awake were much more gentle and affectionate, even if they were still femdom af. I think the reason Blindfold wears a blindfold is that since monster aids starts in the eyes (which is why Miseri and Inel have funny pupils), it's probably safe to assume the eyes would get unraveled first. Blindfold had way more exposure to monster aids than the girls, both because he got trapped in the Divine's cave as Will and he came face to face with it in the nightmare while the girls didn't. That's also why he splats the second he gets out of the limbo of the dream while the girls don't and why he has to consume everyone in the dream to survive awakening, with killing the girls giving him his eyes back.

Basically just reach the end of the story, you'll know when it happens since the dialogue mentions making choices and there'll be a Now: Choice thing in the notes menu. You go talk to the girls, they ask for you to find some items, you give them the items, talk to em more, and make the key to escape. It's pretty self-explanatory.

Problem is, he dies in Ending A right when escaping, but he also wakes up in the bed right after. So I don't get it.
In B- is it B? I forgot and I took my meds- Will stop possessing Blindfold or whatever, and according to Caith, there is no Will anymore, only you, ie Blindforld, meaning either Blindfold gained control back or that Blindforld was always a cage of Will. If the meds didin't destroy my brain and writing that should be it, ask someone else. Now I'm off to sleep.

I don't see how is it cohesive at all when it simply makes no fricking sense, lmao.
Blindfold is just a Zolam fused with a man named Will, the result of said fusion has an appearance that mostly resembles Will's, and a mix of thoughts and personalities of the 2 individuals, i.e. Will's and the Zolam's.
At the end of the game the Zolam dies, and Will is freed from the fusion, awakening in the mansion in which the game starts, but outside of the nightmare that you're trapped in for the majority of the game.
It's also worth to point out that Hakika confirmed before release that L. Depth would have big ties with SEQUEL (or was it Ordowald specifically?), so the idea that a literal who we're only meeting now is the main series' protagonist is just ridiculous to me.

Is there anything you'd change in the Sequel games now that we have the benefit of hindsight? I'd probably have removed one of the Colmanas, Alma to be exact. She didn't really do anything. Got the ending where we get out of the nightmare and are sent into a bighter version of the mansion (the real one maybe?) I'm guessing this the good end, any ideas on how to get the other 2?
There are four endings.
For Ending A1you do what you just did
For Ending A2 you need to beat the game within 35 minutes of starting
For Ending B you have to go back to the well and cave and after you get both items there crush them and show the crested knife to either sister when they're in their room
For Ending C you have to unlock all sex scenes except 3 in the middle you have frick frick frick the sisters and impregnate them after that you go to the door to leave and click the pink ???? option. After that you can unlock those 3 last scenes and that's it.

great hero, loved by everyone, effectively invincible and immortal, randomly betrays everyone and decides to end the world because she's depressed even though she knows it still won't kill her, needs to be saved by d*ta of all people. It could be excused by her "no ego" thing if it really was as horrible as the game says it is, but that gets fixed five minutes after the ending with like two dickings and she gets her feelings back.
And that's even without mentioning the unnecessarily edgy story Kludge had compared to the comfy adventure Blight had. A silly romp can have dumb plot twists like that, an edgy super serious story can't.

Also this. Kludge just has an amazingly bad story, and the main reason I find this shocking is because Colony proved that Hakika can make stories that are better than most big name games. I'm now convinced Colony was a fluke.
Am I still looking forward to SEQUEL 5? Frick yes, but 100%ing Kludge is going to be a chore, something the others, even Awake couldn't even begin to be accused of.
The mistake was doing this whole super DEEP and ambitious overarching story and it just had to end with some overblown idiocy. What people praise Colony for? Shin's story mainly, which was self-contained.
He should stick to references and cameos from other games and I'm convinced something like Colony can happen again.

Nta but you don't have to go far: It's a plot that just work and exist, everything is perfectly balanced, the drama is present, even the nightmarish stuff, but it doesn't overstay it's welcome, characters are dynamic, and okay fine maybe not Emela and Rabi, but Auris and Lestea are peak sequel characters.
Until post game just crashed the plot by making it all the fault of one bad man despite teasing us with the possibility that it wouldn't be a problem you can just kill a guy for, and that the problem was the country itself, and overall feel more like a filler than anything. It's the start of the 2deep4u, and hakika should have learnt his lesson, but he didn't.
There's a reason why people call kludge's plot, awake, but worse.

Vyner is such a shit villain. She didn't feel like a threat, Dita turning out to be the secret main villain would have been cooler. She also gets zero comeuppance for trying to end the world, Shin had to die for basically being a crazed victim, but Vyner gets away with being a genuine psychopath who betrays everyone which weirds me out a lot.
Also, the Ark was horribly used as a plot device. Making the man vs machine war a fricking bell of awakening for a doomsday airship is the silliest shit I've seen in a JRPG and after Colony I was so bummed out that this was the story. I admit I was kind of hoping the Ark would be some space station the original inhabitants of Ordowald escaped to, considering IT WAS MENTIONED IN AWAKE, but this just sucked.

Please understand, weg devs rely solely on Patreon bucks, they can’t simply release their games because that would cause them to lose their funding.
hakika's been making games for close to a decade now and in that time he's clocked in 7 non-H freeware games, with the last one (Brand of Ronis) canceled in favour of doing H games, but apparently parts of the story were used for Colony. Sequel has four titles, two spinoffs and even joke games. Not counting them he's released 13 games since 2013. Absolute madman! Most of them even have different ways of specialization, with skill tree standardization only becoming a thing for SEQUEL.
A small part of of him pumping out so many games is probably that he re-uses equips wholesale (Adventurer's Charm anyone?) as well as art. There's still items more or less straight from his freeware era in modern SEQUEL.
How scary is this game, I'm bad with horror. Though knowing hakika, it probably isn't too scary...right? Any jumpscares?

It's pretty spooky because the atmosphere is really good. There's also jumpscares, but they're not very scary so they shouldn't get you more than once.
It's not very oppressive since most of the time if you start pissing yourself you can run back to a safe space and hug Miseri's milkers until you calm down.
It’s pretty damn scary, it’s not jumpscare-heavy either. There are a few jumpscares but it’s nothing you can’t see coming. The main horror in the game is atmospheric horror. The lingering sensation of something oppressive being out there.
Anyone notice that Asylum, L.Deph and now Innocent Rules all start with "You wake up somewhere you don't know without memory of who you are but your name? or in Blindfold's case not even that. The girls didn't even give him a nickname either, Blindfold is what we call him and now there's a strange man.
Now back on the subject of L.Deph how is it that the girls did meet Caith once while were schizoing out underground but during the good ed when she lore dumps on you as you make your way out of the nightmare they can't see her? Finally what do we call blindfold now that he no longer has it in reality and has white hair? I think his eyes are red,too now that I think on it the way caith interacts with him at that scene is just like the man with Ino in the new game what is going on here?[ /spoiler]

Colony is literally the only game where you don't start with plot convenient amnesia, and even then you could make an argument that while Mana Tank probably knows what he's doing and why he's there, the game doesn't bother to mention it and it almost seems to mislead (You) on purpose.
It's obvious Mana Tank is there so save his wife Fake Rabi.
The white hair guy at the end is probably Will, Miseri and Inel's dad. Blindfold is the nightmare monster who created everything you see in L.Depth from Will's dreams and memories. Will was also some sort of monster, so he and Blindfold may or may not be the same person, which would make Blindfold's canon name Will. Caith can enter the nightmare-infested version of the real world, since it occupies the same space. The nightmare village in Kludge works in a similar way, you can enter the village and see the dreamers inside, but you can't enter their individual dreams.
As for why Caith can't be seen by the girls in the ending, you probably have to speculate a bit: The Room and the corridor between the door and the real world is almost definitely not a corrupted space from the real world, and instead is something purely in (You)r mind, which is the reason for all the puzzles - (You)r subconsciousness trying to stop you from waking up. Caith can't enter that space herself, since it's not connected to any location in the real world, so she has to project herself into the nightmare monster's mind, which would make it be the only one capable of interacting with her. At least that's the only thing I can come up with, aside from her just choosing to somehow hide herself from the girls for fun.

The report lists 6 monsters and no humans in the nightmare. The greater monster has to be Blindfold, because it tore the nightmare apart and unraveled, which is exactly what (You) do. The two female nightmare monsters are obviously Miseri and Inel and the rest is the two zolams and mommy. There is no room for Blindfold on the list if he's not the one to have created the nightmare and Caith mentions that she saw a sleeping man and his two feeble daughters get consumed by the nightmare. We know Will was a monster and his children inherited his monster blood, so knowing Blindfold has Will's memories, Will being Miseri and Inel's dad and Blindfold, Miseri and Inel all being the same species would point to Will and Blindfold being one and the same. Will got really mad about being tricked into killing his daughter, went to sleep and weaved his own dream into the nightmare you see in the game.
Of course you can argue that Will was a different type of monster and a random, completely unrelated nightmare monster swooped in to create the nightmare from his dreams, with Miseri and Inel being copies of the original sisters, but that would imply the original Miseri and Inel are dead, since Caith clearly states Will got dragged into the nightmare with his two feeble daughters, but he wakes up alone and the girls who run to meet you are clearly the nightmare monster versions of the girls. Technically possible, but a much less satisfying ending.
