you don't expect the pirategays to ever talk about games, do you? I mean, that would require playing said videogames first; they are just there by allegiance.

literally nothing changed. if you are an individual or small group in the US and a corporation decides to sue you, for any reason including no reason, you lose. doesn't matter if their claims were valid or not. this is just as true today as it was before yuzu was kill, it's just how the system works.

No there are things like slap laws that can immediately get lawsuits thrown out. Realistically the capacity for corpoes tk sue you is pretty limited. There's a reason Nintendo goes after Yuzu now after they did the TOTK pre-release stuff instead of before or for other emulators

        Anonymous

        >No there are things like slap laws that can immediately get lawsuits thrown out.
That can be bypassed by sueing in a different state that doesn't have laws against it.
the american "legal" system is a joke. Despite being a citizen of one state your whole life you can be sued in a different state you never even visited and held to that states laws instead of your own.

          Anonymous

I'm pretty sure every state has it's own variant of the throw out frivolous lawsuit rules but even then suing someone from another state is already inherently more complicated. I'm not sure why you think the state can be freely changed to benefit one party.

    here guys
this was most likely the last version of Yuzu released in their official page yesterday right before the site shut down

if you guys don't trust catbox.moe for whatever reason, then here's a github link to a build a couple of days older

Law is really, really, really moronic when it comes to tech and patents. There's tons of morons/companies that just take up patents to screw with companies.
BLEEM basically fricked vidya companies like Nintendo hard because people only want to pirate Nintendo because they're the only company with worthwhile vidya.
Here they had a case they would going to win because YUZU were that blatant but now it's not gonna happen

The only semi-recent thing was TotK, but I don't think that was what made Nintendo take action. I think this is just Nintendo taking a swing at emu devs before they begin marketing Switch 2, they want to scare them.

        Anonymous

It was definitely TOTK, because there are other emulators they could go after that they didn't. Though only time will tell.

can someone please explain why the frick you would give a shit about a companies opinion? just close the discord and patreon and say 'I will totally stop doing this everyone!' and then just release the latest builds to file hosting sites anonymously? why do you NEED to advertise it? why do you NEED a discord of degenerate sycophants to feed your ego? why do you NEED to make it a full time job that pays you a salary? what happened to just loving games and giving corpos the middle finger? whys is everything so fricking GAY now?

Does Yuzu compile shaders faster than Ryujinx? Ryujinx runs perfect other than shader stutter at first, which is fine after enough caching, but once it caches enough shaders that causes lag processing the whole cache every boot.

      Anonymous

Nevermind I just tested and Yuzu's default shader stutter is dogshut compared to Ryu, but with async shader comp on its flawless. That really should be on by default. Y'all should have told me Yuzu fixed shader stutter. That's the biggest frickup of modern emulation and it just works now.

        Anonymous

I also just solved the biggest problem of switching between Yuzu/Ryu. Yuzu uses it's own special moronic format for updates/DLC because it's too good for normal NSP addons unlike Ryu, but SAK combined XCIs/NSPs are compatible with both emulators. Now I have one ROM folder for both emulators with less files and smaller size thanks to SAK. I can freely test Yuzu more without wasting space. Shader performance is god tier compared to Ryu. Processes the cache faster and doesn't stutter with async compilation.

this is 5 years too late tho. you can already emulate all the switch games. all this means is future emu devs will think twice before patreon scamming

its effects are unprecedented, this literally means so much for any potential future Switch 2 emu. Especially if the main 3ds and switch dev is no longer on board.
