SERIOUSLY WHAT THE FRICK?

HOW the frick is a DLC taking so much to make?
I literally cannot understand. Cyberpunk 2077 had ton of game changing DLCs that managed to elevate the game to a whole new level. Monster hunter makes a DLC for each of its games that might as well be another new game, and they manage to do that in just a year.
Just what the frick is happening? Is Fromsoft so seriously incompetent they are in development hell for a fricking DLC? come on guys its not that hard. You guys literally have no excuse. You are tripe A company with enough resources to make and amazing game in a year.
At this point I literally don't care anymore. The wait will not be worth it because our expectations will never be surpassed. Shadow of the erdtree will be a disappointing piece of shit because the wait killed any possibility for this DLC to have a reasonable hype .
It will not matter if the DLC results to be a masterpiece. The 3 year wait is inexcusable. They really shoot themselves in the foot.

"Reused assets" is a shitposting meme here. Almost nothing in ER is reused. Erdtree avatars, slimes, rats, and wolves, that's about it. They didn't even reuse shit nobody would have noticed like lothric or cathedral knight animations

Name something I missed. I don't even think the game is perfect, it needs 3 times as many NPCs, overworld enemy spawns should have been somewhat randomized and dynamic to story progression, and the damage and health scaling are just ridiculous (going from +10 to +25 was a mistake). But in term of sheer variety of content, ER is by far the largest action game ever made, at least without sprite graphics.

Cyberpunk had one expansion and it took the best part of 4 years to come out. The rest of the "dlc" were patches adding features that were promised but absent on release. And I'm saying this as someone who loves Cyberpunk.

  28. 5 months ago

For those morons who that the DLC will be another whole new game. Let me remind you that Fromsoft in the past made Dark souls 2. Bloodborne and Dark souls 3 in a span of TWO years. Not to mention all the DLCs included and a little bit of Sekiro. Not only that. Fromsoft had to make a new whole engine for Bloodborne and dark souls 3, so everything had to be rebuild from scratch. So don't tell me that they cannot make a fricking DLC in two years.
And before you spout your meme rebutal like: >"BUT BUT BRO THE DLC WILL BE AT LEAST 2 GAMES bro you gotta believe me. Elden ring alone is 20 gazillion darks souls in one".
Shut the frick up homosexual. Elden ring is 70% useless open world slop and recycled content. I already analyzed every inch in content and I came to the conclusion that without counting the garbage open world fodder, Elden Ring is equivalent to 2 dark souls 3 plus one TRC dlc and I am very generous. So you can suck a dick. Worthless fanboys.
