I think you can check it in soulpedia. Should be a button that shows you how you can level it. You get a bunch of points when you first summon a cast, then you get more for skill ups, rank up, leveling, karma, etc.
tldr summon and upgrade characters, no grinding required other than the daily dungeons for upgrade mats.

I am saving diamonds to get a soul mirror set for asmodeus if they ever rerun her again so I can't roll on belial even though I like her. other than that I only want sariel and raphael if she reruns.
There's not really a "main" team for this game. You have to build your team to counter the color of the enemies in the stage. Same for PvP. In the later daily stages if you use a unit that is resisted by the enemy you actually end up healing them instead.
Just use whoever you like/have as long as they are strong against w/e you are fighting.

I couldn't resist waiting so I pulled until I had 9 of the summon currency (I'll wait and see how close I get to 120 pulls before banner end until I spend more). I managed to get three Sariel (so she's at +3 skill now thanks to the bunrei from the level-up mission) so that's nice, as she was my sole target.
I'll grab Michael with my pity so I can slowly work on her for future content, but then it's full savings mode (once again) until Christmas Satan hits.
But yes, so happy with Sariel. I instantly made her my home screen for that ~ara ara~ energy. I only wish I could slot her, Belial and Mammon on there at the same time, but then I'm not sure my heart could take that.
Pretty sure summer levi is next. There isn't any unit that can stand up to Michael right now so whales will definitely go hard if they drop her counter right after.

well michael actually just straight up stuns 2 units at the start of the battle randomly without even needing to attack, so in a way it's even worse.

michael has 3 different ways to access a hard CC, move gauge generation for the whole party, and a DoT that scales off the enemies attack, all mechanics that are meta in some type of play.
despite seeming like a counter pick specialist at a glance, she's actually a fantastic all arounder, and is one of two good carry-style blue units in the game (other being xmas satan).
And of course there's a double power-up campaign to rub extra salt in the wound that I did worse than everyone. I'll catch you guys later, it hurts too much to read this thread.
i'd keep them all around since you might need to rank up a few of them for consonance ranks. you basically need to rank them up to get any real significant numbers on their soulpedia contribution, which is what consonance looks at for requirements.

5* orange rarity starshards can only drop from the final stage of the temple, and have an annoying rarity since the drop pool is utterly diluted with sets you probably don't want, 4* starshards, and every other color rarity. whether you use the event to finally get some 5* orange starshards or to reroll the few you happened to get, the event is probably worth doing. unless you're a luck chad and just constantly get 5* orange starshards, of course.
well the selector boxes are still good if you want to complete or set or something. the best part of the set is probably the refining crystal just because you can get a lot of them and avoid having to fish for replacements orange 5* starshards that rolled total dogshit stats. all in all this event is pretty mediocre but at least have a moment to get starshards.
It basically doesn't matter what you bring as long as it's fast and does a lot of hits per attack or/and does follow-up attacks. For example, Sandalphon has a ton of hits on her stuff, regular Lucifer has several hits and does follow-up attacks etc. etc. Also, don't try to 3* stages, just push them as far as you can because some following stages are easier than their preceding ones, I three-starred the last stage but can't do it for the one before it. Not that it matters, obviously.
Oh, and also some units deal extra instances of damage conditionally, like Hanna, although she would be more useful for her +speed support skill rather than hitcount.
If you have asmodeus you can cheese through the stages with charm. Then you can pretty easily 3* stage 30 and offline auto it everyday. Stage 30's for dailies are a lot easier than the previous stages.
Nope. They can be point boosters in events and besides that they need to be powered up to make sins, riders and virtues stronger.

Funny, the only 2 Sins I couldn't get were the 2 blues and the only 2 Virtues I couldn't get were the 2 greens.
if you are looking for honest advice, i'll try to provide some insights.
1: you have too many damage focused units. ideally you only draft 2 damage focused units in any team comp. you're sacrificing other important roles in a team comp otherwise.
2: you have WAY too much tankiness. beelzebub is a pure tank, belial is a half tank, and michael gives the entire party defense & regen. you really only want 1 unit (if any) that specializes in survivability, it's not a particularly needed mechanic in this game.
3: you are stacking buff removal.
this is pretty minor, but buff removal is already a pretty niche mechanic (most dangerous buffs are immune to this mechanic anyway), so having 2 sources of it doesn't do too much.
4: you have a lack of consistent CC.
void laser is only a single stun that might not target the unit you want (high speed does not always imply the most dangerous unit), king of the table's taunt is OK but taunting is the single worst hard CC effect, and michael's CCs are inconsistent.
5: always be sure to draft your favorite girl, otherwise there is no point in playing the game.

You can either accept that you're never going to max out half the characters in this game as a F2P (or even as a dolphin) or you can try another gacha game. You already know that none of these issues are going be addressed in the future by looking at JP.
Get the characters you want to use long term to level 60 and stop there. 5 level 60s is better than 1 level 90
For karma you should stop at rank 11 for most characters, rank 23 for characters you want to use long term. Alternatively you can forgo getting new characters and spend your diamonds on posters daily instead.
For shards you should focus on % main stat for slots 2, 4 and 6. Don't bother upgrading slots 1, 3 and 5 unless they have really good substats.

the game shares a lot of problems with other comparable games but still kind of sucks even restricting the comparison to similar games. the main problem is one that a lot of these games have which is that everyone is playing for anime breasts, but 99% of the actual game interaction you do has the characters in gay little low poly/chibi forms. on top of that the game doesn't even try to be anything more than a shitty autobattler with no other gameplay modes or anything. it also sucks as a .jpg collector with 99% of the roster being instant unsummon filler and the characters that people actually play for only having 3 pieces of art each, and one of them being almost impossible to even see unless you whale.

Summer Levi is just green and a perfect counter for any blues. Her passives and skills are actually good

Assuming 1150 stamina a day as average (bar of 200 fills twice for 400 total, 200 from event login, 250 from guild login, 200 from guild point shop, 100 from feed a cast a trainer), buying the once a month 2000 stamina pack for a few diamonds, the 400 extra event currency every day from daily missions and the extra 8250 currency from event achievement missions, it ends up being around 82,360 event currency/points over the course of the 14 day event. If this was like the shitty random SVR for 80k in previous event shops, everyone could just barely do it even with 0% event bonus.
As it stands, it's not possible to get the 112k sin/virtue bunrei selector without summer Levi. Having her and multiplying those 82k points by 1.5 gives you enough. Just having normal Levi for +10% will still make you fall short by tens of thousands of event currency.
Also, frick, I'm a moron, I thought it was a character not just a bunrei. Definitely not worth it. Which makes me wonder, what should I even be going for in this event shop? I normally try to get the 50k dust from each banner, so I did two ten pulls on Belial's soulmirror and managed to get all three purples on the EX, so I'll be using the event currency on more dust, but I think the posters are probably the best choice otherwise. Everything else seems like a waste unless you are really trying to luck out with the extra daily summon scroll.

Same as the rest, you basically just throw together all your units with the highest hitcount, bonus points if they can push move gauge or whatever, and that should do it.
you need shalimar to give your team enchant immunity
for your other units you want ones with both cc and multihits like esmira, belial, sutalr, normal lucifer
in the second battle you can charm/confuse the succubus and she will enchant the rest of the enemies and they will wipe themselves out
in the third battle you need to chain cc and kill one of the spider ladies before she casts a shield that protects all enemies from taking damage

raids are pretty RNG heavy. most of the bosses have pretty debilitating debuffs they can randomly proc on you, not to mention a lot of units in the game can be pretty inconsistent with their damage output.

the event can drop more than 3 items so you might only see gold on the clear screen. in that case you can click the view all button to check how many manga has dropped
20 stamina stage gives 3 manga so that's 60 karma per 20 stamina or 3 karma per stamina

for shards just put the best ones on your carry units and the rest gets nightshade sets and whatever's left over
then once a week if you get shard upgrades just funnel the shards you're replacing to your weaker units
generally whatever shard that gives you the most +atk% for atk based units and +def% for def based units (eg. esmira)
you have to read the tooltip of a unit's skills to figure out what stats will improve their skills
some skills will hit multiple times if they crit so obviously you want +crt%

nope. thats why the rankings for the levi raid are super deflated, each unit basically has 4 turns each before it's automatically over. DoTs get to contribute a bit more before your demise since they still will tick every time levi's turn comes around, but that's about it.
Belial removes freeze for your entire team if she gets frozen
Kotatsu Bel removes freeze from allies with her S2
Uriel gains freeze immunity with her consonance

its primary function is to give whales who have already +15 their units something to work towards
its secondary function is to allow some of the original units who may have fell off on the tier list to become good again, eg. og lucifer

the karma event gives you the best stamina to karma ratio than all other recent events
assuming you get 1230 stamina per day without spending any gems on stamina
that's 17220 stamina over 14 days and assuming you spend 20 stamina per stage on the karma event and the event after the karma event, that's 861 event stage clears which is more than what's required

The nice thing about this EX Evolution system is that even though I'll probably never be able to use it myself (there's yet to be one of the EX items I can actually get), I've been able to use these whale level 105 Lucifers to obliterate some Nightmare mode story stages. Her basic attack hitting 2 enemies instead one of 1 is pretty damn cool.

If I had to start over I'd use the unlimited reroll to get Furka. Then I'd reroll with the scrolls in the mail until I get 2 out of Zoe, Shamilar and Kamilah.

In terms of spending resources, I would save my gems for a meta unit that can carry me through the content. I would also not invest too much in awakeners, just enough to clear the limited events.

I think you need to level up the characters or something to make the numbers go up
Pretty much any upgrade to a character will increase soul link, lv, karma, rank, skill up etc.
I think you can check it in soulpedia. Should be a button that shows you how you can level it. You get a bunch of points when you first summon a cast, then you get more for skill ups, rank up, leveling, karma, etc.
tldr summon and upgrade characters, no grinding required other than the daily dungeons for upgrade mats.

There's not really a "main" team for this game. You have to build your team to counter the color of the enemies in the stage. Same for PvP. In the later daily stages if you use a unit that is resisted by the enemy you actually end up healing them instead.
Just use whoever you like/have as long as they are strong against w/e you are fighting.
stop having autism. summer lucy is literally designed to be in the field with base lucy, she literally ends up getting 30% more ATK by being on the same team.
don't get me wrong, summer lucy is mediocre as hell, but if she's not paired with base lucy she's among the worst SVR-tier units in the game.

I'll grab Michael with my pity so I can slowly work on her for future content, but then it's full savings mode (once again) until Christmas Satan hits.
But yes, so happy with Sariel. I instantly made her my home screen for that ~ara ara~ energy. I only wish I could slot her, Belial and Mammon on there at the same time, but then I'm not sure my heart could take that.

michael has 3 different ways to access a hard CC, move gauge generation for the whole party, and a DoT that scales off the enemies attack, all mechanics that are meta in some type of play.
despite seeming like a counter pick specialist at a glance, she's actually a fantastic all arounder, and is one of two good carry-style blue units in the game (other being xmas satan).
And of course there's a double power-up campaign to rub extra salt in the wound that I did worse than everyone. I'll catch you guys later, it hurts too much to read this thread.

i'd keep them all around since you might need to rank up a few of them for consonance ranks. you basically need to rank them up to get any real significant numbers on their soulpedia contribution, which is what consonance looks at for requirements.

She is based off of faith of the 4 cardinal virtues, while the rest of virtues are based off the 7 remedial virtues, which is the version of the virtues that are diametrically opposed to the 7 deadly sins. Luci doesn't actually have an angel that opposes her, since there is no virtue of humility.

There's no point in doing the starshard event when I can just grind the normal starshard temple for 5* legendary shards, right?
5* orange rarity starshards can only drop from the final stage of the temple, and have an annoying rarity since the drop pool is utterly diluted with sets you probably don't want, 4* starshards, and every other color rarity. whether you use the event to finally get some 5* orange starshards or to reroll the few you happened to get, the event is probably worth doing. unless you're a luck chad and just constantly get 5* orange starshards, of course.
I have like 30 but I have lots of 4 stars with better stats
well the selector boxes are still good if you want to complete or set or something. the best part of the set is probably the refining crystal just because you can get a lot of them and avoid having to fish for replacements orange 5* starshards that rolled total dogshit stats. all in all this event is pretty mediocre but at least have a moment to get starshards.

how do I even get past higher levels of the gold mission?
It basically doesn't matter what you bring as long as it's fast and does a lot of hits per attack or/and does follow-up attacks. For example, Sandalphon has a ton of hits on her stuff, regular Lucifer has several hits and does follow-up attacks etc. etc. Also, don't try to 3* stages, just push them as far as you can because some following stages are easier than their preceding ones, I three-starred the last stage but can't do it for the one before it. Not that it matters, obviously.
Oh, and also some units deal extra instances of damage conditionally, like Hanna, although she would be more useful for her +speed support skill rather than hitcount.
If you have asmodeus you can cheese through the stages with charm. Then you can pretty easily 3* stage 30 and offline auto it everyday. Stage 30's for dailies are a lot easier than the previous stages.

Nope. They can be point boosters in events and besides that they need to be powered up to make sins, riders and virtues stronger.

if you are looking for honest advice, i'll try to provide some insights.
1: you have too many damage focused units. ideally you only draft 2 damage focused units in any team comp. you're sacrificing other important roles in a team comp otherwise.
2: you have WAY too much tankiness. beelzebub is a pure tank, belial is a half tank, and michael gives the entire party defense & regen. you really only want 1 unit (if any) that specializes in survivability, it's not a particularly needed mechanic in this game.
3: you are stacking buff removal.
this is pretty minor, but buff removal is already a pretty niche mechanic (most dangerous buffs are immune to this mechanic anyway), so having 2 sources of it doesn't do too much.
4: you have a lack of consistent CC.
void laser is only a single stun that might not target the unit you want (high speed does not always imply the most dangerous unit), king of the table's taunt is OK but taunting is the single worst hard CC effect, and michael's CCs are inconsistent.
5: always be sure to draft your favorite girl, otherwise there is no point in playing the game.

You can either accept that you're never going to max out half the characters in this game as a F2P (or even as a dolphin) or you can try another gacha game. You already know that none of these issues are going be addressed in the future by looking at JP.
Get the characters you want to use long term to level 60 and stop there. 5 level 60s is better than 1 level 90
For karma you should stop at rank 11 for most characters, rank 23 for characters you want to use long term. Alternatively you can forgo getting new characters and spend your diamonds on posters daily instead.
For shards you should focus on % main stat for slots 2, 4 and 6. Don't bother upgrading slots 1, 3 and 5 unless they have really good substats.

the game shares a lot of problems with other comparable games but still kind of sucks even restricting the comparison to similar games. the main problem is one that a lot of these games have which is that everyone is playing for anime breasts, but 99% of the actual game interaction you do has the characters in gay little low poly/chibi forms. on top of that the game doesn't even try to be anything more than a shitty autobattler with no other gameplay modes or anything. it also sucks as a .jpg collector with 99% of the roster being instant unsummon filler and the characters that people actually play for only having 3 pieces of art each, and one of them being almost impossible to even see unless you whale.

summer levi is one of the better green units in the game, but you basically need to fully build her for good effect. and by fully build i mean lots and lots of dupes, not just level 90 + 6*ing her.

I don't have either of the bonus units, so I decided to math things out and see how much event currency I can get. Assuming 1150 stamina a day as average (bar of 200 fills twice for 400 total, 200 from event login, 250 from guild login, 200 from guild point shop, 100 from feed a cast a trainer), buying the once a month 2000 stamina pack for a few diamonds, the 400 extra event currency every day from daily missions and the extra 8250 currency from event achievement missions, it ends up being around 82,360 event currency/points over the course of the 14 day event. If this was like the shitty random SVR for 80k in previous event shops, everyone could just barely do it even with 0% event bonus.
As it stands, it's not possible to get the 112k sin/virtue bunrei selector without summer Levi. Having her and multiplying those 82k points by 1.5 gives you enough. Just having normal Levi for +10% will still make you fall short by tens of thousands of event currency.
Also, frick, I'm a moron, I thought it was a character not just a bunrei. Definitely not worth it. Which makes me wonder, what should I even be going for in this event shop? The daily scrolls and 5 scroll pack for a shot at Summer Levi sounds like a good idea, but I'll have points left over. Posters would be the best use of excess currency, I guess?

I normally try to get the 50k dust from each banner, so I did two ten pulls on Belial's soulmirror and managed to get all three purples on the EX, so I'll be using the event currency on more dust, but I think the posters are probably the best choice otherwise. Everything else seems like a waste unless you are really trying to luck out with the extra daily summon scroll.

I had one already from the daily pulls, but yeah, those two pulls were insanely lucky. The Michael/Sariel one shafted me hard though. I sunk over 14k trying to strike gold twice and ended up not completing either Michael or Sariel's EX. Did the pity of shame for just one EX+ set.

keep in mind that most of this assumes maximum built characters, because you'll be able to cap any unit you have given time. the "tier for newcomer" can give you a good idea of when a character becomes playable at minimum and ranks them accordingly. terpsichore levi is t0.5 at +3, for example.

I somehow made it up to 5-2, but enemies have just such a strong alpha strike on high floors that I'm not sure how to tackle the rest, probably with like units that do all dmg reduction or confusion or whatever when a battle starts, I don't even know.

Same as the rest, you basically just throw together all your units with the highest hitcount, bonus points if they can push move gauge or whatever, and that should do it.

for your other units you want ones with both cc and multihits like esmira, belial, sutalr, normal lucifer
in the second battle you can charm/confuse the succubus and she will enchant the rest of the enemies and they will wipe themselves out
in the third battle you need to chain cc and kill one of the spider ladies before she casts a shield that protects all enemies from taking damage

raids are pretty RNG heavy. most of the bosses have pretty debilitating debuffs they can randomly proc on you, not to mention a lot of units in the game can be pretty inconsistent with their damage output.

the event can drop more than 3 items so you might only see gold on the clear screen. in that case you can click the view all button to check how many manga has dropped
20 stamina stage gives 3 manga so that's 60 karma per 20 stamina or 3 karma per stamina

you have to read the tooltip of a unit's skills to figure out what stats will improve their skills
some skills will hit multiple times if they crit so obviously you want +crt%

nope. thats why the rankings for the levi raid are super deflated, each unit basically has 4 turns each before it's automatically over. DoTs get to contribute a bit more before your demise since they still will tick every time levi's turn comes around, but that's about it.

The "strongest" in the beginning is probably Furka because your team won't have +spd from nightshade or karma 24.
Then you have units that are occasionally useful, eg
Charles or Zoe for freeze immunity
Shalimar for enchant immunity
Nonna for stun immunity

its primary function is to give whales who have already +15 their units something to work towards
its secondary function is to allow some of the original units who may have fell off on the tier list to become good again, eg. og lucifer

the karma event gives you the best stamina to karma ratio than all other recent events

that's 17220 stamina over 14 days and assuming you spend 20 stamina per stage on the karma event and the event after the karma event, that's 861 event stage clears which is more than what's required

The nice thing about this EX Evolution system is that even though I'll probably never be able to use it myself (there's yet to be one of the EX items I can actually get), I've been able to use these whale level 105 Lucifers to obliterate some Nightmare mode story stages. Her basic attack hitting 2 enemies instead one of 1 is pretty damn cool.

If I had to start over I'd use the unlimited reroll to get Furka. Then I'd reroll with the scrolls in the mail until I get 2 out of Zoe, Shamilar and Kamilah.
After that in no particular order:
>clear story on normal
>get nightshade sets for all my characters
>clear kizuna quests up to karma rank 11 for some extra gems
In terms of spending resources, I would save my gems for a meta unit that can carry me through the content. I would also not invest too much in awakeners, just enough to clear the limited events.

Don't dump them unless you have a clear goal in mind. Chances are you will eventually want to use your dupes to skill up certain awakeners for Consonance levels
