It's actually pretty smart design. Target combos and simple moveset for beginners and perfect release combos for people who want to play him at a higher level. You getting frustrated and wanting to do better instead of just mashing with him is a part of the design.

my buddy is a deejay main and he loves frame trapping and bullying so yeah ive gotten pretty good at it. Stand at the outside of his mk range and go for perfect parry. At worst you take a little bit of damage, at best you get frame advantage/punish and steal a turn. I think the main problem people are having with him is they aren't stopping to realize Deejays want to disrupt the meta. If you play into their game willfully they don't know what to do. Alternatively, you may find most Deejays cant do anything if you don't give them free tit for tat bullshit. Their entire strategy hinges on you not wanting to run down the clock. So demonstrate more patience than them and they usually become unhinged. Also they have an insane amount of buffers that nobody will be able to keep up with. Once you realize that you will notice they are mental stacking themselves and you can pick them apart easy timing wise.

Drive Rush not having a universal distance completely kills this game. Prove me wrong. There is no denying who are the best characters. There is no reason not to use someone like Luke. He just does everything better than everyone else and crosses the whole screen with his drive rush. They all should go as short a distance as Manon's. Drive Rush should not be able to skip neutral and it shouldn't be able to convert literally every knockdown/reset into an advantageous position in your opponent's face (assuming you are blessed like Luke and Juri with full screen drive rushes).

Based on votes from any number of shit tier players. That list is basically "Who do I get knowledge checked against the most" which is of course a nightmare for garbage players
EventScrubs tier lists are always inflated by morons and stream monsters but to be fair, I would not be surprised if Dee Jay did end up being a top 3 character. He has really good damage, strong buttons, one of the few plus on block normals with f.MK, easily puts you into frame traps situations that always lead to strike/throw mix, EX air slicer is a super strong projectile that beats most others and he can DR to convert off it, and said DR is the fastest and furthest going in the cast. Really the only thing he lacks is a cancellable long range low which he doesn't really need since he'll ideally be in your face all the time anyways.
Dee Jay has already been confirmed to be top tier by practically every pro tier list, even the tier list I posted here
puts him in S. It's a really small roster, it's pretty easy to see who's good or bad at this point. The only character that might heavily fall off from where they're placed right now is JP, since there appear to be significant gaps in his zoning game, and once players figure those out he's going to have way more issues than he currently does while players are still getting used to him. The fate of the zoner in a game with drive rush. The only reason I think he'll even stay viable is because of his reversal.

No, totally wrong. Just for starters, why the FRICK do you have Chun that low? She has some of the best jab pressure in the game and in a game that is rapidly beginning to revolve around jab pressure, that is huge. She has fantastic damage, solid confirm options, GREAT pressure, can get around fireballs for massive damage, she's amazing. The only thing she lacks is a throw loop, and that just keeps her from S tier and still leaves her as the absolute best of A tier. I mean there are other huge glaring issues with your list but let's start there.

I'm getting used to hitbox, which arrived late yesterday. Luckily I play Manon which doesn't have too much difficult stuff, because fricking hell 360's and forward jump aerial qcbs are fricking cancer on leverless.
SPD is a nightmare but instant air qcs you will get used to. Just clean up your inputs and roll the hand more so buttons arent lagging behind and giving conflicting inputs. After 6 months i cannot imagine going back to stick.

I work full time and I have kids and Street Fighter used to be my favorite fighting game of all time. I used to love going to locals and actually being competent at the game but I'm just not anymore. I don't have the time. I don't have the patience. I don't have it anymore. I can't beat anyone anymore. It feels so bad I wanna just cry like I'm just not good enough for the game anymore to actually play with people. I think I just gotta let it go. Uninstal the game and go on with other things in life. It's just depressing. I feel like I'm saying goodbye to a part of my life that I'll never get back. I don't need feedback, criticism or sympathy. I just needed to get it out before I cried myself into oblivion. I hope everyone, new and old continues to enjoy the game like I used to
You need to lab these days anon. I know it's difficult to adjust to this fact. It's not about playtime as much as it is about how much time you consciously take to understand what is going on. You used to be able to get away with stomping a lot of people with bnbs and maybe a little damage. That's not the case anymore because everyone is doing it. Hell, learning one safe jump will get you better results than what you are describing.

When you design the gameplay around 50/50, it's frustrating when a character takes 60% of your health because of a single wrong guess.
People got too comfortable having a million get out of jail free options from 4 to V. This is the most honest game even a lot of the veterans have played since most of the defensive options have counters you can do on reaction and they are definitely having trouble adjusting. The rest are just new people or people from V that think they can press through everything.

Feels harder to autopilot in this than SFV, partly because it's a new game, but also stuff like DI. So I'm just going to mess around in training mode instead of fighting people more.
I think the hardest thing with fighting games for me is just being consistent about playing and practicing. Some days you really have to force yourself into playing, but if you don't you get rusty fast.
I'm an intermediate fighting game player but I can't be assed to stop using modern controls because it's so easy and I still win against my friends that use classic, anybody else

It's like a bunch of poor writers got together and decided that the best way to highlight any new female character is to show how much of a GENIUS she is that she stands out from the others etc etc. Just ticking boxes to arbitrarily describe a character but not really showing that she's *earned* her spot being there through dedication to the training her body and enduring trials. It just goes into this Disney-channel kingergarten fluff about how she was always good and blah blah blah. And it's done for every single black female character that gets shit out and it's bad. No one wants to hear about you being a secret prodigy who was kept down by the man or whatever. Imagine making a character and pre-emptively salving persecution complexes. Women thrive on persecution narratives. Of being really good at what they do and having others just *realize* it. Guile isn't lacking offensively, but he's never had the ability to rush down an opponent like Ken, Yun, and Evil Ryu.
