Yeah it's the utility more than anything. Walking behind a fireball means you can DR on reaction while your opponent can't, that's really powerful in this game

I've only watched 6 but fireballs are only marginally stronger than they used to be.
They're missing a few thing's from 4. No chip is a big one. Traditional anti-air's like the DP/Flashkick being really pretty bad are another. They are better than they were in 5 though but that's mainly from anti-fireball tech being missing than fireballs being buffed directly.

Not that useful since fireballs are mostly used offensively
If they throw a fireball and you went into DI before it came out because you thought they were going to throw a fireball right there, you get a punish counter into a full combo. Approach, then when you're in range to DI and think they're about to throw another fireball do it. Either you'll be wrong and you'll have more knowledge about your opponent's habits, or you'll be right. Win-win

When I play dhalsim, I just automatically die to any fast buttons and jump ins. I don't know what I am doing wrong.
