Ethan fricked
He certainly did. Just ask his wife and his wife's old friend that strangely looks like his wife sometimes.
she cute
>not posting an image to prove your claims
>could've made an interesting DLC about the Villagers being terrorized by werewolves and the Dimitrescu girls
>actually develop the characters of Elena and Leonardo who were emphasized in the trailer but only in like one cut scene in the final game
>instead make a piece of shit asset flip
talk about missed opportunities
Something must've happened with RE8 development. The reveal trailer seem to hint that the villagers will have more active role in the story, but the retail version killed them all off in just one scene.
Back when Village was originally leaked, there were rumors (in the same leak) about a small standalone game starring Elena that would be released and serve as a prequel to Village proper. My theory is that this proved to be a little too ambitious and it eventually became the Maiden demo.
I wanna hold hands with her
You're surprised that a Resident Evil game sucked?
dude

Was Resident Evil 8 the worst Chris has ever been characterized?
He comes across like a giant dumbass. Ethan has shown himself to be more than capable yet he refuses to tell Ethan what is going on or assist him in any way. He doesn't even try to escort Ethan away from the Village. He just leaves him to do whatever he wants. Chris and Wolf Pack frick around the entire game and do nothing while Ethan kills all of the four lords and Miranda himself.
I'd really like to know what happened behind the scenes with RE8. Because it's the game that feels the most that there's clearly a different version that was changed into what we got. From how the characters acted, the cut cutscenes, the massive timeskip and then the cliffhanger ending it had.
There's just something about it that screams development hell despite being akin to the usual RE Dev cycle.
If I was to guess:
>villagers were meant to be a more central part of the story, having to help them or something while they are being terrorized by spooky castle people
>werewolves were supposed to be a sperate faction completely, probably at war with the vamps
>Chris's story was meant to run alongside parallel, either through various scene jumps or a completely seperate campaign all together
>modern Umbrella corp lab completely cut out from the game altogether
It was originally a much bigger game with Moreau's swamp and House Beneviento being actual levels and not just glorified boss fights. But as far as the actual core concept goes, it was always about 4 lords each representing a different facet of classic horror and werewolves as the primary monsters.

For the curious.
finally got around to playan this
castle was pretty cool, shame it was so short
but the dollhouse is fricking lame I have no idea why it's so hyped
AHHHHHHHHH THEY MOVE WHEN I DONT LOOK AT THEM AHHHHHHHHH
>Shadow of Rosemary's Bootyhole
Go on...
>Rosemary digitally edits herself hanging out with her dad because she misses him so much
Poor girl.
We could've had a nice Chris DLC just like 7 but no. Instead we got RE8 but 3rd person instead lmao.
Shit I bought Separate Ways and still haven't played it.
As someone who didn't like the original Separate Ways, I went in with 0 expectations and was pleasantly surprised. I was especially happy to see Luis get more screentime.
Did the AI mod for Ada's voice make its way to the DLC? It's just so bad in the base game, I can't deal with a whole expansion
I don't know if she's better in the dlc or if I just got used to it but I ended up not minding her performance. It's Wesker who I hated more honestly.
Oh right. Krauser was godawful as well. It's wild how bad they are. Leon was ok, but Ashley and Luis were definitely the standouts imo
It was good incel
Legitimately some of the worse money wasting I've ever done, how was it so fricking bad
Shadows of Rose? More like Shadows of Bore.
XDDDD
Shadows of WHAT ARE THOSE?
The DLC was never planned. Their announcement said "due to popular demand" which just shows they expected Village to flop.
This is true but it doesn't explain why it was so low effort.
Maybe the money went into REverse? Remember that pile of shit? Honestly I have no idea how Capcom hasn't killed the series yet
The pandemic disruption must've spooked them. By the time they revealed it at PS5 reveal showcase, they thought they might as well cut their losses and do what they can to salvage the situation, cutting a bunch of shit. They didn't expect it'll do so well.
I'm thinking they still cant fully see how much market share they took after PT got cancelled
>everyone loves Lady D and Heisenberg and wanted more of them
>so let's make a DLC that doesn't include them at all
???
we were robbed of a house Dimistrescu breeding DLC
>loves
Men wanted to dick down Lady D due to her body size+shape and women wanted to frick Daddy Heisenberg or make fan art of him converting Ethan into being a homosexual. That's not love. CAPCOM knows there are insane people emotionally attached to Leon, Chris, Ada, and Jill. No one actually gives a frick if Alcina nor Heisenberg actually lived long enough to evolve and change like Wesker.
>named Mia
>as in Missing in Action
>they repeat the joke THREE TIMES
>absolutely no explanation given for her being a absentee mother
>just canonically disappeared for over a decade
Mia should've died in childbirth she's so pointless as a character. I mean she's really hot in RE8, but still.
>absolutely no explanation given for her being a absentee mother
I always assumed it was Chris's team preventing her from making contact since Rose is a biological weapon. They can't exactly let a second Eveline just grow up in the suburbs
>Mia cannot raise Rosemary in a controlled environment managed by the BSAA
Pretty big assumption that Mia was simply forced to stop caring about her daughter. Also Chris doesn't seem the type to separate a mother from her child.
I just don't see why she would abandon Rose though. She did shitty things but when it comes to her loved ones she seems cares for them.
>tells Ethan to forget about her when infected
>even when cured she reinfects herself to save Ethan
>keeps secret from Ethan about being mold specifically because she wants a family
The writing of Village is shit anyway but even for Mia just ditching Rose seems weird. The real reason is Capcom probably couldn't be bothered hiring the VA again.
