If I wanted to, I’d not only have implemented a ban on using Noob and Rain, but also implement a ban on using UMK3 returning ninjas like Scorpion, Human Smoke, Reptile, Jade, Ermac, Super Sub-Zero, Kitana, Mileena, and the two Chameleons.
I would’ve made it so that y’all must use only vanilla MK3 characters like Sonya, Cyrax, Jax, Sektor, Liu Kang, Sheeva, Kung Lao, Cyber Smoke, Nightwolf, Sindel, Stryker, Kabal, Kano, Shang Tsung plus the returning Baraka, Raiden and Johnny Cage.
I'll take 2 over this as peak MK. trilogy is kinda silly but I like it a lot.

the funny thing is they made her a lot nicer in the story and consistently "good" like Kitana. All the gore and cruel fatalities are totally separate from the story.

I remember when people complained of dragon ball games saying they had few characters,then they made one with lot of characters and people still complained because it had too many character.

Tenkaichi 3 is the gold standard of DBZ games that everyone wants to happen again. Every game after that never had that roster and always felt like a downgrade, so they don't matter. DBZF is a completely different genre of game and it can stand out with a smaller roster. It's more of a modern interpretation of Hyper Dimension.
Also, MK has always been jank and the more content the games had the better, because they were never going to have any actual nuanced mechanics or depth. MKT is a great frick around with friends kind of game.

i will NEVER complain about a fighting videogame with too many characters.
Here an example: Street fighter alpha 3 for play station is for me the best street fighter of all and it has a lot of characters and i loved it.
Another example: i prefered clay fighters sculptor cut version for Nintendo 64 over the original nintedo 64 game(called 63/2) and one of the reasons is because the sculptor cut version has more characters.
I feel like Karate Champ had too many characters. do we really need 2 different colored Gi's?
