      >Don't worry, the collectors will wait to spring the trap when you hack into the computers with an AI instead of at any point in the 5 minutes you spend fricking around inside their ship before hand, or just blowing up the Normandy again, or just blowing up your dinky shuttle.

He's been injected with Reaper tech since decades ago according to the comics. From a monolith on one of the Turian worlds.

    >Shepard spends all his time hanging out with reapers and reaper artifacts
    >doesn't get indoctrinated somehow
    >in fact, Shepard has a way of indoctrinating everyone else to get what he wants
    >crew follows Shepard into suicide missions
    >in fact, Saren possessed many of the same qualities as an extension of Sovereign
    >entered a planet's atmosphere and somehow lived in any sense of the word
    Shepard is a reaper.

    Fix Cerberus role in 3

Alternate, Pro-Human Extremist Route. Establishes a human techno dictatorship at the end.

Yeah, they were building that up in the first one with Shepard saying that he killed the council deliberatly to ensure human dominace. This gets ignores in 2

Siding with Cerberus leads to the Control Ending not coming out of nowhere

ME2 was just a dream and Cerberus is actually just a jobbing terrorist cell.

Saving the base is the only way to save the Galaxy from the Reapers.

Best part of Cerberus in 3 was them attacking the Alliance Biotic School.

It actually makes sense that they'd want control over Humanity's best.
They should have just been running around in 3 accumulating power for their pro-human goals, not Reaper stooges who suddenly have fleets and armies.

siding with them in ME2 and not destroying the base makes them allies, the opposite is just the indoctrination route

you can pick two routes to go through the main quest.
      cerberus or alliance.
you get unique companions based on your choice
ultimately both questlines would have to follow the same strokes but cerberus route would be more about consolidating power than forming alliance, the balls to the wall anything it takes to win route.

yeah mass effect 2 caused irreparable damage to the chances of this franchise being something of value

Sorry Joker! We don't have funds to use this tech on your frail bones!

His bones are fundamentally fricked and in 2 he already got the best possible propping up technology available from Cerberus that lets him walk unaided.

  9. 11 months ago

He was very transparently a power-hungry fricker, from the very start, so absolutely not surprising. All those flowery lies and excuses are exactly that.

I mean it worked. He got supersoldiers out of civilians. Maybe the alliance should consider implementing the tech for its army.

yeah i know, but just his design with the eyes and his calculating, cigar smoking demeanor always made you question what he really was up to so he could've been an interesting morally grey character but of course you can't let the player become a le heckin space racist

At the time I didn't question it, but it's funny how the pro human vs pro citadel conflict became less and less important with each title, Shepard could be genuinely xenophobic in the first game

Why did they go from "Cerberus is an Alliance Black Ops going rogue" to "Cerberus is a terrorist organization with contacts in the military, industry, and politics", to "Cobra in SPACE"?

If the CIA went totally rogue right now they'd probably be able to accomplish similar things and in similar ways so it's not really that egregious

Did you forget his entire team in the Derelict Reaper got fricked? Or how he sends you into a trap for literally no reason? I hope you're not trying to imply Cerberus were well written in ME2
