MMX4 is old enough to be in college. Go take your ibuprofen, you know the carpel tunnel is beginning to set into your wrists right about now you middle aged millennial.
I was born in 1985, and I don't know who that character is supposed to be; the only Mega Man (Rock Man) female character I know is Roll, and that's it. =
Sounds like the situation is less under 18 and being within a certain age range to care about these characters cause I only know the first generation pokemon girls and pokemon, but some weirdo anon here acted like I should know 3rd~whatever generation.
I don't have a problem with young posters in themselves but I don't understand how so many in this thread replying to this seem proud of not knowing older media.
I was an underaged kid when I started posting on Ganker too and I just went and learned about all the titles I missed. Emulated a bunch of NES games on emulator and loaded up DOS titles. I play the newer games that everyone associates with the kids like Valorant and shit too even though Ganker doesn't seem to give a shit about them, it just seems wrong to have an opinion on games I haven't played.
bro its been a quarter century since this game came out. i played x4 probably a dozen or more times growing up and i still didnt recognize who this was instantly, only that it was a megaman character.
What's the lore of robots/reploids/whatever? Humans like Light started making robots and they went damn that's hot let's make them all like girls or what?
>light makes robots (robot masters) to make world easier to live in >makes free thinking robot (X) >botanist discovers X's capsule years later that had testing happening for 30 years >makes a robot that copies X basic design of being free thinking >get called reploids because of the free thinking ability >make male/female reploids
>can't figure out half of what makes X work, especially the black box technology that is his brain >makes bootleg copies of the OS anyway >doesn't bother with ethics training or anything as that's boring and not profitable
>Dr. Light built Mega Man X to be a robot with free will >decided that X would need about 30 years of constant mental scans to make certain he wouldn't become a psychopathic murderer >100 years later, Dr. Cain dug up X, saw that he's still okay on the mental scans >Cain figured "Well this brain is super fine, so let's just copy it over and over again. No need for any further scans." >Cain mass produced new robots based on X's design, called "reploids" (they're replications, get it?) >Cain builds male, female, and totally robotic reploids to serve mankind >Any reploids that malfunction or are accused of malfunctioning due to using their free will in ways that do not benefit humans are labeled as "mavericks" and executed
>Dr. Light starts developing Robot Masters believing in the idea of robots with free will, they're not quite there yet but RMs are for all intents and purposes sapient so close enough for the franchise's purposes >Robot Masters become extremely widespread in short order because something with human intelligence being able to remotely command massive swarms of other robots and assist in higher functions of a specific task like a power plant's generation or overseeing construction and demolition is extremely helpful, >even with Dr. Wily stealing Robot Masters and reprogramming them to try world domination sometimes, so Rock gets converted into Mega Man by his own request to fight them off and capture Dr. Wily >fast-forward a frickton >Dr. Light builds Mega Man X, a successor robot to Mega Man that finally has the "free will" thing down 100% pat >X needs about 30 years or so of mental acuity testing to make sure he's stable since he'll be the first robot 100% unbound by Asimov's Three Laws >Dr. Light finishes X but doesn't live kind of to see him come out of the pod >100 years later Dr. Cain, a scientist that moonlights as an engineer but is mainly an archaeologist, finds X in the remains of Dr. Light's lab >X has been doing tests for 100 years, has the green light from Light's equipment >A novelization says that because Mega Man became an urban legend in the years after Light's death, Cain unearthing proof that Dr. Light and Mega Man did exist and X is their magnum opus and successor is a super secret and not even X is told (by Cain, anyways) >whatever it is, Light's lab becomes an extremely secret place >Cain uses X's rough blueprints to make Reploids or Replica Androids, a successor to Robot Master tech (that apparently went extinct) >Cain is not on Light's level, so Reploids have bugs for a long time >Wily was making his own unrelated successor robot, Zero, but after he's found he's called a Reploid for convenience + secrecy's sake
Most of this is incredibly basic stuff you can get from the instruction manual or starting up Mega Man X and reading the bootup sequence written by big santa himself
Stuff about Robot Masters being Light's earliest free willed robot project is from the Dr. Light's Research Journal included with Japanese copies of Mega Man Legacy Collection for 3DS https://megaman.fandom.com/wiki/Rockman_Classics_Collection_Original_Notebook (it also has neat blurbs like Guts Man's body having zero purpose beyond looking strong, his underlying skeleton is closer to all the other robots' in actual size and that's why the Super Arm works just fine when copied)
Mega Man getting converted is the backstory of MM1, Mega Man himself still appears as Rock in a couple of games, including Powered Up where the localizers made the horrible decision to call his schoolboy body "Mega" instead
Everything about X's origins comes from X1's intro and the instruction manuals for the SNES X games
"Mega Man" becoming an urban legend that X is semi-aware of comes from a 2017 novelization of X1 called "Irregulars Report"
Light and Wily's labs and therefore X and Zero's origins being a secret is consistently referenced throughout the X series both in manuals and sparingly in games, with the last reference being in X7 with Snipe Anteator in Cyberspace sifting through a bunch of data and figuring out their true purposes
Also worth mentioning is that Irregulars Report brings up that Zero is very likely based on X's schematics in some way, or at the absolute very least is also based on Mega Man (Wily is very good at copying Mega Man), since Sigma parsed together that the Mega Man legend was truth from data in Wily's lab after fighting and pacifying Zero
when did Sigma get actively fricked by the virus in relation to figuring that out?

Some indeterminate point between punching Zero's forehead crystal out and starting the X1 rebellion, Sigma is absolutely a Maverick but it's hard to say he isn't still lucid in the majority of his appearances, the official explanation being Sigma's anti-viruses were good enough that he couldn't be taken over or fried like most Reploids, so instead it merged with his AI and turned into the Sigma Virus over time
Feel like a lot of problems with X series lore could be solved by making the timeskip between Classic and it more drastic. The world just....forgot about the world-famous robot hero in under a century to the point he became lost technology? What? Even adding one more century and making it 200 years would be much more plausible.
Being fair a lot of people nowadays don't even know about the old record players and cassettes and it's only been 30-50 years. Add only 2 guys knowing enough of the tech to have a constant dick measuring contest and it just slips.
Robots were widespread even by the middle of Classic. You had Cossack making machines on par with the duo, plus the entrants in the Robot Tournament. MM11 has a whole host of companies and industries building their own versions of these things. Scientific progress isn't dependent on one genius, it gets added to humanity's collective knowledge and applied to a variety of fields.
I mostly just figured that robotmaster tech is just outdated.
In the X and Zero series many of them make it a point that they are obsessed with tech and that they dont understand why X and Zero perform so well despite being ancient.
I have less of a problem with people forgetting about Light or older robotics tech, but the idea that Light's lab was excavated by a fricking archeologist only 100 years or so after his death is extremely funny. Was the city buried in a landslide or something?
For Wily it makes sense that the mad megalomaniac outlaw doctor basically lives in secret bases he's built innawoods, for Light less so. In the Classic series his house/lab tends to look the same every time we get a glimpse at it.
We still need the game at the end of the classic series to see if something happened, I still like the theory that wily finished zero and he went fricking crazy murdering everything until wily had to stop and seal him to not end up dead himself, that could've led to humanity being afraid of robots and their use diminishing drastically, with only the mindless mechaniloids still on use, it would explain why Light was so afraid of letting X loose without decades of testing, and Cain finding X is what brought a renaissance for humanoid robots with the reploids having free will and being more reliable (at least until the mavericks)

I always found it interesting that we never see X learn of his origin. He's given new tech from some old man's holograms, but there's seriously never a point in X's active time where he's curious about how he came into existence? Also why do Light capsules know exactly what's going on in certain games. They're supposed to be recordings Light left behind, they wouldn't be about giving X advice on his current events. And why the frick was it implied Light was aware of Zero's existence?
why would she want to frick the player when there's an absolute unit like Zero around, who countless game devs seemingly adore considering Inti and Conman all slob his knob over X
Gacha games are obsessed with self-insert fantasies where (you) are this cool dude destined to save the world and impregnate every girl you come across

How nice of X4 to suddenly introduce an entire side cast and organization that has been working together with the protagonists for so long and then have all of them die and the organization being disbanded in the same game.
>Xtreme 2 takes place after X3 but before the events of X4
yes and it was made after x5. they literally tried making iris a navigator because they wanted to have her do more.
I recall some comment about iris being made into a diplomat with all her points being allocated charisma while colonel being solely a fighter with all his points going into str and dex
She should be one of the least physically strong reploids out there
>either Sigma nudges him or Dragoon comes up with the idea himself that killing a whole bunch of humans will finally get him a challenging fight versus X or Zero >during this commotion Sigma makes sure he's seen talking to the upper brass of Repliforce >despite the main force of Repliforce not being responsible for that attack, Magma Dragoon being a part of their forces + Sigma being seen conversing talking to them makes them look guilty as frick and almost guaranteed to be labeled as Mavericks and deactivated even if they did surrender so they go full Maverick anyway. >Sigma installs a mole in X's unit too just to keep an eye on him >bonus of causing torment to Zero since he'll end up having to kill his girlfriend too
Funny thing is that Zero gets over it and Iris doesn't even start liking Zero until he saves her in the intro. She was just extra collateral who went moron.

The legacy collection notes tells you that Iris didn't even start liking Zero until she was saved by him.
Repliforce were the prime suspects for a number of reasons. Keep in mind that the intro stage, before they're declared Maverick proper, X/Zero are fighting their way through mechaniloids and troops marked with Repliforce's logo. So when Colonel and his unit respond to the attack to back up the Hunters, they become the prime suspects as they're now present at the scene of the crime.

The mechanoid boss itself was part of Repliforce unit. Even if Colonel didn't respond to the hail they'd still be suspected.

The mechaloid isn't even known where it came from. The only thing known is that dragoon used it a a decoy. Suspicion falling onto repliforce was because colonel went full moron instead of trying to defuse the situation.

Repliforce was already on thin ice, no one would overlook a bunch of reploids talking about creating a segregated nation, the first hint of conflict was enough to set everything on fire
Is the mobile game that went single player worth playing if you're a megaman pleb? When i played X5 the only thing i was thinking during the story parts was "i have no idea what's happening in this game's plot".
The game is only really enjoyable if you're a die-hard fan that can put up with grinding since it includes characters, stages and references to every single sub series. Even then, it's barely a 7/10
>Is the mobile game that went single player worth playing if you're a megaman pleb?
It has a LOT of stages and characters to use so it's worth a shot. Be aware that you'll have to scroll through hours long of menus for creating and upgrading characters. Also, just ignore that game's "plot". It has no payoff or anything.
>When i played X5 the only thing i was thinking during the story parts was "i have no idea what's happening in this game's plot"
It's the first game trying to have some sort of real plot in a series with the bare minimum of plot possible. It's also extremely complicated with how many dialogue variations and references it has.
Genuine question, do whitecels actually believe that voluptuous robot women like this would choose them when human white women all left them for black dick? Are you really that delusional?
Genuine question, why do hispanics post this shit? Is it because they were conquered and raped by whites or is it coming from some sort of twisted sense of submissiveness?
Oh frick I was in that thread...Those "people" make me feel more shame for being a dirty Hispanic, than anything my country can do (which is alredy. Pretty fricking low)
>Kotobukiya is going to give us some new info in December. On December 17th we celebrate the Mega Man Series 36th Anniversary, Mega Man X Series 30th Anniversary and the 5th Anniversary of Kotobukiya's X model kit reveal!
What even was the point of Sigma virus if reploids sperged out anyway? Maverick hunter squads were present and had their hands full before Zero was woken up and spread his schizo virus.
Wily's an butthole, for starters. There's no way he could have known that millions of robots would be copied off of the design of Light's last robot and that Light's design would be faulty enough to allow the copies to go rouge.
>There's no way he could have known
Wily literally wrote malicious code in his greatest creation's brain with the knowledge that it would spread and infect robots to make them berserk. That was his MO for the entire Classic series, reprogramming bots that weren't his and using them for evil. Zero was one last "Frick you, Thomas!" even though X was built by Light in secret.
Yes? That's the point I was making. Did you not read the original question?
He did it without knowing that Light's work would frick up on its own without him.
I said he made the virus simply because he's an butthole. That's pretty much the complete opposite of absolving him of anything.
The question was asking why did the Maverick Virus need to exist, if reploids were going rogue on their own. The answer is Wily didn't know that any of that would happen and made the virus to insure that they would happen anyways because he's an butthole.
X by himself didn't have any issues. Cain started the entire mess by making Reploids despite not having the full knowledge of Light's work in AI.
Although if Cain didn't do that it still would have likely ended up a tragedy in the end as Zero would have awakened at some point and then he either would have killed X and continue rampaging or X would have gotten infected by the virus when he killed Zero and be the one to start rampaging instead.
Zero would have eventually been fine because he got infected with Wily’s virus while still in the lab. The virus is what turned Zero good and X is immune to it so if there were no other reploids humanity would just have two ultra powerful bros to protect them forever.
It's literally so Sigma can control them. The entire plot of X6 was Gate taking Zero's virus and used it to create a more powerful mutation so he could control the remaining reploids on Earth and the environment.
Before the virus Reploids going Maverick were relatively rare but some of the ones that did were too dangerous for humans to handle so they basically had a Reploid police force to take care of them. When the Zero/Sigma virus started spreading it made the problem much worse and way more damaging as it would spread out among a Reploid population and make everybody there go sociopathic and/or insane even if they didn't want to harm humans originally.
Mavericks are just criminal reploids. They sperg out the same way humans do when they go crazy. The virus just makes normal reploids go crazy and the Sigma version also kinda indoctrinates them into his extremist reploid supremacy mindset.
Well sperging out isn't exactly a requirement. Reploids who dissent in any way can be marked for death as Maverick whether or not their cybernetic brain goes haywire. For example: Spike Rosered in X5 wasn't crazy. He just didn't want to give X his ship parts and even threatened to call the cops if X didn't leave him alone. Granted X was trying to stop Eurasia from crashing into earth. But Rosered didn't know that. So from his perspective, X just barged in, demanded his shit, and then marked him as a Maverick when he said no. Totally legal BTW:). I joke but that happens more than you think in the X Series.
>Spike Rosered in X5 wasn't crazy.
No but he was a result of the sigma virus doing shit to reploid and plant life that created him and he did start attacking after telling X no.
Rosered was in the same boat as Grizzly and Rex; a technically-criminal reploid who the Hunters let be so long as they don't cause too much trouble. The fate of the world was at stake and he basically told the cops "frick tha police" and pulled a gun on them.
Other anons already pointed out that reploids could turn criminal/be uncooperative with human authorities/malfunction on their own, but I think Capcom has also tried pulling the "the Zero virus was already leaking out from Wily's lab into the wild before Zero himself was found" card. I remember being incredulous when reading some lorebook/interview translation with something like that, anyhow.
"An official at Capcom" could just be some dude who works in marketing that never actually touches the games. Megaman guidebooks and translated material are full of inconsistencies like that, not counting US manuals that just made shit up and got details wrong.
Legends is my favorite series. Putting my biases aside, they're adventurous, fun, and have a great artstyle, but won't blow your mind on the gameplay side of things.
The main classic games just have Roll and Splash Woman. Kalinka, too, but I don't count her since she's a side character in one game.
the main series X games are a sausage fest until X4, where Iris dies (spoiler alert), Alia comes in X5 to pause the game and tell you shit that's fricking obvious, and Layer and Palette enter in X8. Most of the girls in the X series come from the spinoffs, command mission in particular.
The Zero series just has Ciel and Leviathan. I don't count Niege since she's also a relatively minor character in the last game.
BN/SF and Legends, as well as ZX have a lot more girls in them.
I can’t stop thinking about Street Fighter when I see the abbreviation of SF
Wish this got a console port or sequel, why can’t Megaman have its own Sonic Mania? Hell Capcom loves Street Fighter so much you would think they would milk this
The MM x SF game was a fangame that Capcom grabbed and released themselves as they wanted SOMETHING for an anniversary as they didn't care enough to think of anything by themselves.

>Am I just playing the wrong ones?
Yeah, most megagays are actually into the gameplay and lorehomosexualry. >Or do people make fan art of girls who are on screen for a total of 10 minutes?
Yup, pretty much.
Maverick, obviously. Irregular sounds stiff and overly medical, while maverick is snappy, immediately clear in it's meaning (reploids who, for whatever reason, turned against humanity) and is sharp enough to be used as a political epithet like "terrorist." which happened in X4 and all throughout the Zero series.
Maverick actually sounds like you're calling out a threat.
Irregular just sounds like you're trying to not make a big deal about the psycho killer robot.
Start off with them being Irregular Hunters until Sigma shows up as the cyber virus ghost of christmas future, and then rebrand and militarize into Maverick Hunters.
reminder that wily was the mastermind behind the eurasia colony drop and that he was perfectly willing to cause mass extinction simply to perfect his masterpiece
Wily is a good person deep down as evidenced by MM10's ending. His lingering will inside the virus is just all the hate, malice, and regret that was left. The real Wily doesn't want to cause mass extinction, he wants people to acknowledge him as the greatest. He's one of those villains that wants to conquer the world but would also help the heroes if an outside threat were to try and destroy it.
If Classic wasn't rooted into having a kid's series mentality it would have been neat to eventually have a game where Wily steps back and realizes what a fricking dick he's been over the years out of sheer jealousy and how he's the architect of his own downfall. Hell MM11 having Light actually acknowledge the Double Gear System could be beneficial if it was just tine tuned and tested more could have been a turning point as deep down he just wants to be recognized as a super genius as well.
Too bad he still has to eventually make Zero though so it will never happen.
The ending of MM11 is probably the closest we'll get because kids' series as you said. I like that conversation between Light and Wily because Wily acknowledges he's gone too far to just apologize and accept Light's hand. It's too late to change trajectory. Reminds me a lot of Batman and Joker in The Killing Joke.
>The ""climax"" of the X series >A shitty two-minute fight over a nothingburger disagreement that consists of repurposed assets
Wish I lived in the timeline where X5 and X6 got the dev time and resources they needed
X5 is just underwhelming, but still a finished game. It lacks any areas or situations where a player can unintentionally softlock themselves out of the game or parts that literally don't work. For that reason, it's objectively "better" as a game, just boring.
>It lacks any areas or situations where a player can unintentionally softlock themselves out of the game or parts that literally don't work
You are aware that rng can literally frick you out of anything you've invested into Zero, right?
It's kind of funny how the games just stop mentioning mankind at some point as it's just robots dealing with robot problems. Would have been funny if it was outright confirmed that humanity was all but killed at some point midway through but the robots were too concerned about killing each other that it didn't really register with anybody, even X.
>Would have been funny if it was outright confirmed that humanity was all but killed at some point midway through
Eurasia was that. Humans went underground and the planet's surface is still fricked, but slowly recovering by X8, part of the reason they started to develop space.
X6 should've kept Zero out of the X series as it serves as the perfect hand off narrative wise to X who has come into his own as a Maverick Hunter, taking up Zero's mantle.
They did Sigma dirty in X8 and I actually felt sorry for him in X6. Sigma did not deserve the closure he got. Capcom should have gave Sigma a gigachad ending like he deserved.
They should have done that instead of what happened to Sigma. Sigma really got written off in the worst way. I don't like the closure they gave him. He was a good antagonist honestly.
x3's ending reveal of him becoming reploid Satan before Doppler shows up was great, his following two plans mostly working made him a great villain after his failures.
The official materials for Z tell you what happened to Sigma in a way that lets them fill in the gaps if they ever decided to. At some point he's erased by the Mother Elf's cure because technology finally caught up to him. It's a recurring theme in late X games and in Zero; science finally advancing to the point where Light and Wily's work can be properly understood.
X leads into Zero no matter how Capcom try to pretend they don't.

Well it's a case of out of universe factors influencing the in universe story. No matter what Megaman has to die. Its what sparks the creation of X. But Capcom doesn't want to end the classic series. So Capcom will keep kicking that can down the road for the rest of eternity and never explain what exactly happened to Megaman. Did he turn into Quint? Is Pogostick Megaman inevitable? We'll never know. Same deal with Zero. It's inevitable that the Elf Wars must happen. Zero must deal himself away. X must also seal himself away. And Ciel has to make an imposter that will shit all over X's good name until Zero can kill him. But making an Elf Wars X game will put the series on a countdown so we'll never see Axl die. The fact that Zero has a definitive end is a miracle.

I always figured that he's still alive but now trapped on the moon. As long as he has no one around to bodyjack his way back to earth, he can't do anything.

Why do you want to alter your body to look like a female reploid from hundreds of years ago when you could just get a reploid gf and have her cosplay for you?
between x1-3 it's a few months to a year at most. x4-6 is also a few months at most and a few weeks at best. x7 and x8 don't really say how much time between them and command mission happens in 22xx. no determined time between x3-4 other than xtreme 2 happening a few months before x4 and no time between x6, 7 and 8.
well for SF6 it was clearly some forced le hiphop shit and its not working out.
it lacks melody and energy both. but MM11 also suffered from not having a kick in its soundtrack.
monster hunter songs are also much more orchestral now but it feels weaker.
I hate it.
I've noticed it too, a lot of Capcom games have mediocre generic music now. All the good composers probably left I'm guessing and they're stuck with more inexperienced newbies.
it's celebrating the 30th this next year and command mission has its 20th this year. maybe a command mission 2 happens since the ending had 8 lights fly off from ferham's supra force metal suicide.
>played megaman x dive offline >got close to the end of story mode when the DMC dlc got modded back in >play it for a while >stop playing because I figured the MH mod wouldnt be far off since they got the DMC shit working in like a week and half >MONTHS pass >still not even an ETA
Wtf.
>surprised
Yes. And my evidence is the pic you just posted. Gore Ico is the hottest girl in the entire game arguably.
Also from my experience most people can't wait to mod in the cut shit asap.
in the x series for x maybe berkana before she got sent to the stake and maybe nana. for zero there was iris for like a couple of days before she croaks, layer and cinnamon. in the zero series maybe that one reploid resistance girl that gave him a kiss and possibly leviathan.
I wonder how long it took after reploids became commonplace in society for X to join the Maverick hunters. I’m pretty sure X was new at it in X1, or at the very least he was less experienced than Zero as well as being lower ranked and far less powerful. It makes me wonder what he did before that. Was he just a regular civilian? Did he have another job before that? It must have taken a long time after he was discovered for the world to get to where it was in X1, so that’s a lot of X’s early conscious life we know nothing about. I also wonder what happened that made him decide to join the Maverick Hunters in the first place.
>I wonder how long it took after reploids became commonplace in society
Probably not that long. >for X to join the Maverick hunters
He was probably there from the beginning as Cain's assistant or something.
They over saturated the market with a million games at once and when they stopped selling so well they burned it all down.the series has sort of been rousing from its slumber since the collections started rolling out but it’s too niche now for a full return. That might change someday but I wouldn’t hold my breath because it might take a while.
Capcom doesn't really want to make smaller games right now. Maybe after than dino multiplayer service game fails they'll crawl back to their old dormant franchises.
I think so. If not a straight remake then a new game that
I was born in 1985, and I don't know who that character is supposed to be; the only Mega Man (Rock Man) female character I know is Roll, and that's it. =
Sounds like the situation is less under 18 and being within a certain age range to care about these characters cause I only know the first generation pokemon girls and pokemon, but some weirdo anon here acted like I should know 3rd~whatever generation.
That is Iris, Zero's girlfriend in Mega Man X4 She is also a boss that you kill in the same game.
I only played some of the original Megaman games and the snes ones, is humanity okay? In X all I saw was robots and Dr. Light's hologram, what's the ratio of humanity to robots, since it seems there are thousands if not tens of thousands or hundreds of humanoid robots.
Further down the timeline the line between human and reploid become so blurred that there’s hardly any distinction between them and then by the time of Legends the last 100% natural human is long dead.
By Legends everything on the surface is something called a Carbon. The last human lived on the moon and offed himself before giving admin control to the Megaman of his era.
>X
They kinda are but Inafune didn't want to show them on-screen or something like that. A lot of incidents keep happening to them though. >Zero
Between the X and Zero series there was a massive war that led to 60% of humanity dying. In Zero 4 you can find a small human resistance group that really hates robots for everything that happened. >ZX
a 16 year old was able to develop sustainable energy and humanity kinda recovered. >Legends
3000 years passed and for unknown reasons humanity had to migrate to a space colony, where they uploaded their souls to a computer or whatever and basically went extinct. Whether or not we save humanity is the biggest cliffhanger left by Legends 2
Humans are there just not on screen. Moon colonization is happening because of them and a bunch humans get kicked out of an island from a reploid takeover.
All the adventures of the Mega Man series happened in some weird digital world and you're a player who gets sucked inside, stuff is messing with this data and you have to fix it
>(you)'re playing X1 but suddenly wake up in the deep log >RiCO (blue haired girl) tells you all the X series data is being corrupted and you have to fix it >eventually find out that other sub series got corrupted too >also meet up with a Zerosona called ViA that's this cool, joke cracking dude >turns out the bugs were caused by him and some other OCs in the first place >kill him even after becoming friends with him throughout the game >except credits imply he might be ok
also RiCO was a split program all along and the other half is called iCO (grey haired girl), who was neutral at first but eventually grew fond of (you)
Needs human pregnancy correction >Shes dead!
Just rebuild her with a functional womb module and do the deed, when she starts feeling the weight of life she'll calm down.
Hot. Who?
>Who?
Holy shit, please get out of this board.
Whomst
Frick off, not everyone knows obscure shit just because they come to Ganker.
>obscure shit
rule 2
>Mega Man
>obscure.
You have to be 18 to post here.
MMX4 is old enough to be in college. Go take your ibuprofen, you know the carpel tunnel is beginning to set into your wrists right about now you middle aged millennial.
Being older than megaman means knowing its shit not worth wasting a thought on
Uhhh the only female mega man characters are roll, kalinka, and splash woman.
>forgets plum
frick you too
I was born in 1985, and I don't know who that character is supposed to be; the only Mega Man (Rock Man) female character I know is Roll, and that's it. =
Sounds like the situation is less under 18 and being within a certain age range to care about these characters cause I only know the first generation pokemon girls and pokemon, but some weirdo anon here acted like I should know 3rd~whatever generation.
iris from mmx4. best description is a boss's sister that goes crazy and tries killing zero while liking him. now she wants (you).
Bait.
Neckbeard in the wild getting territorial
You need to be over 18 to post here
WHAT ARE YOU FIGHTING FOOOAOAAAaaaaaaaaar?
I know getting old is hard anon, but X4 has been around longer than many posters on this site.
i don't play 99% of YOUR games but still jack off and cum to YOUR girls, how does that make you feel?
You can't if you don't know the tag zoomie
*clicks saucenao button*
>Pretending zoomers know how to reverse search on here
Good bait, had me going
I don't have a problem with young posters in themselves but I don't understand how so many in this thread replying to this seem proud of not knowing older media.
I was an underaged kid when I started posting on Ganker too and I just went and learned about all the titles I missed. Emulated a bunch of NES games on emulator and loaded up DOS titles. I play the newer games that everyone associates with the kids like Valorant and shit too even though Ganker doesn't seem to give a shit about them, it just seems wrong to have an opinion on games I haven't played.
Why are you so proud of posting here 40 years old and knowing old obscure shit you arent somebody for me to repsect you're just a loser
this anon is an adult amongst manchildren
this anon is underaged and hasn't learned
I'm 22
being an oldgay isn't cool anymore loser
the real loser is the one who condescends other losers to feel better about themselves
Whatever you say oldgay hahahaga
I stopped playing MMX after 2, wasn't that into it.
bro its been a quarter century since this game came out. i played x4 probably a dozen or more times growing up and i still didnt recognize who this was instantly, only that it was a megaman character.
Did you never play as Zero or something lol
She’s literally in the most memed infamous scenes in all of video games.
it's been over 20 years since ive last played it, ive long since dumped that shit from my brain.
Im over 30 and I've never played a megaman or any Nintendo games before.
sad
Then get out lf this board you failed normie, I bet portal got you into videogames.
Anon literally no one plays Mrga Man games, unfortunately.
Based frick zoomers holy shit i hate them so much.
>Who?
to be fair, I think that's a fair reaction to Iris, even if you know who she is
It's still much more likely for people to recognize Iris than someone like Alia, despite her showing in more games
Iris from MMX4, though she doesn't look like that in MMX4. That must be from that gacha game.
that's fanart
She literally looks like that except she's drawn without the skirt are you moronic
that's hot
Good.
So sad that Zero died of Sigma.
Actually, he died of Weil
Sigma balls.
Weil you shut the frick up?
Eat my smegma
The Ligma Virus really evolved in the 21XXs

What's a Sigma

What's the lore of robots/reploids/whatever? Humans like Light started making robots and they went damn that's hot let's make them all like girls or what?
She is a racist what, OP?
doubt so considering rock and roll look like children
>doubt so considering rock and roll look like children
Well yes, but that's because Dr.Raito was a pedophile.
Shame she’s never posted in Brown Vidya Women threads, same with pic related
If given the chance, I would drain my balls into Yuna and no one would be able to stop me.
yuna would get off on having a human use her like that
>light makes robots (robot masters) to make world easier to live in
>makes free thinking robot (X)
>botanist discovers X's capsule years later that had testing happening for 30 years
>makes a robot that copies X basic design of being free thinking
>get called reploids because of the free thinking ability
>make male/female reploids
Forgot most important parts
>can't figure out half of what makes X work, especially the black box technology that is his brain
>makes bootleg copies of the OS anyway
>doesn't bother with ethics training or anything as that's boring and not profitable
>Dr. Light built Mega Man X to be a robot with free will
>decided that X would need about 30 years of constant mental scans to make certain he wouldn't become a psychopathic murderer
>100 years later, Dr. Cain dug up X, saw that he's still okay on the mental scans
>Cain figured "Well this brain is super fine, so let's just copy it over and over again. No need for any further scans."
>Cain mass produced new robots based on X's design, called "reploids" (they're replications, get it?)
>Cain builds male, female, and totally robotic reploids to serve mankind
>Any reploids that malfunction or are accused of malfunctioning due to using their free will in ways that do not benefit humans are labeled as "mavericks" and executed
you forgot the part where he finds out that his mental training is bullshit and becomes a genocide anyways
>Dr. Light starts developing Robot Masters believing in the idea of robots with free will, they're not quite there yet but RMs are for all intents and purposes sapient so close enough for the franchise's purposes
>Robot Masters become extremely widespread in short order because something with human intelligence being able to remotely command massive swarms of other robots and assist in higher functions of a specific task like a power plant's generation or overseeing construction and demolition is extremely helpful,
>even with Dr. Wily stealing Robot Masters and reprogramming them to try world domination sometimes, so Rock gets converted into Mega Man by his own request to fight them off and capture Dr. Wily
>fast-forward a frickton
>Dr. Light builds Mega Man X, a successor robot to Mega Man that finally has the "free will" thing down 100% pat
>X needs about 30 years or so of mental acuity testing to make sure he's stable since he'll be the first robot 100% unbound by Asimov's Three Laws
>Dr. Light finishes X but doesn't live kind of to see him come out of the pod
>100 years later Dr. Cain, a scientist that moonlights as an engineer but is mainly an archaeologist, finds X in the remains of Dr. Light's lab
>X has been doing tests for 100 years, has the green light from Light's equipment
>A novelization says that because Mega Man became an urban legend in the years after Light's death, Cain unearthing proof that Dr. Light and Mega Man did exist and X is their magnum opus and successor is a super secret and not even X is told (by Cain, anyways)
>whatever it is, Light's lab becomes an extremely secret place
>Cain uses X's rough blueprints to make Reploids or Replica Androids, a successor to Robot Master tech (that apparently went extinct)
>Cain is not on Light's level, so Reploids have bugs for a long time
>Wily was making his own unrelated successor robot, Zero, but after he's found he's called a Reploid for convenience + secrecy's sake
Why does this make sense
I thought it would be fricking stupid, but it just kinda makes sense
Where the frick was any of this?
in the games and manuals?
Some indeterminate point between punching Zero's forehead crystal out and starting the X1 rebellion, Sigma is absolutely a Maverick but it's hard to say he isn't still lucid in the majority of his appearances, the official explanation being Sigma's anti-viruses were good enough that he couldn't be taken over or fried like most Reploids, so instead it merged with his AI and turned into the Sigma Virus over time
in the power fighters its explained that bass stole the schematics for x back when he tricked light in 7.
It's not dependent but they were just so far ahead of the curve people couldn't match it.
I mean look where Zero was found.
For Wily it makes sense that the mad megalomaniac outlaw doctor basically lives in secret bases he's built innawoods, for Light less so. In the Classic series his house/lab tends to look the same every time we get a glimpse at it.
You don't build a new cutting edge tech in public place anon. Secret base with self-sealing mechanism is very mandatory.
Stop getting your fan theories from 20 year old webcomics
It's the theory that makes the most sense, even after people denying that the Zero genocide was a thing
>It's the theory that makes the most sense
By what metric? Just because it came in a era there was no official info and people kept parroting it?
There's still no official info about what happened during the time between the classic and X series
The Light capsule holograms are actually an artificial intelligence based on Dr. Light.
I thought X knows.

Something something suffering circuit
Meme response, X literally had almost a century of morality testing. Granted it wasn't supposed to last that long.
Yeah but doesn't change the fact that reploids were installed with suffering circuits.
>racist
>wants to get with the race she hates
sounds like normal /misc/
She doesn't want to keep fricking Zero in the gacha or whatever?
the past version of her but then she starts gravitating towards (you) that bleeds onto her past self
why would she want to frick the player when there's an absolute unit like Zero around, who countless game devs seemingly adore considering Inti and Conman all slob his knob over X
zero no way gayging her and (you) not killing her like he did sound like good reasons
does she angrily femdom the human since she isn't getting any from Zero. that's the only way any of this makes sense
>does she angrily
no
>femdom the human
if you want but that's in her fused with colonel form
>but that's in her fused with colonel form
ok I'll ask, how big?
yes
Gacha games are obsessed with self-insert fantasies where (you) are this cool dude destined to save the world and impregnate every girl you come across
gacha games sound silly, a normie human is no way more interesting than Zero even barring all the wank he gets.
>self-insert fantasies where (you) are this cool dude destined to save the world and impregnate every girl you come across
unfathomably based
Memes aside, iCO is the only girl who has spoken vocally about her feelings for the player.
she's more vocal about it but not the only one
The Player is a Human. Reploids for all their bluster are canonically subservient to Humans. It's only natural.
Even that ultimate robot, X serves Humans.
>but then she starts gravitating towards (you) that bleeds onto her past self
Good
>Cucking Zero
No

Ciel is right there
she jumps on the (you) train too
Frick it, then frick Zero too

you're right, she can also hump a rock

Zero literally only kissed one girl in the entire series and it was some redheaded reploid resistance member without a name
It was more that the red head kissed him after being rescued.
There's Layer and Cinnamon
That homie zero got his girl and his daughter at the end of his journey
he lived good.
it depends if you follow the x branch or zero branch and he dies in the zero branch.
Anon, Zero existence is always suffering
>his love of this life decided to be a terrorist and scar him forever in the X series
>dies before being with someone in his own series
>his star cross lover want shota's dick while his existence is just being a virus in network
>>his love of this life decided to be a terrorist and scar him forever in the X series
He literally gets over it by X7 and is ready to go out in a blaze of glory with X if need be at the end of X8
Zero series is the one that flops hardest on his character
>>dies before being with someone in his own series
As another anon said, he has a fling with a resistance girl
>his love of this life decided to be a terrorist and scar him forever in the X series
He gets over it after 2 games which is the span of a few weeks
>dies before being with someone in his own series
X6 split is a nightmare for him
>his star cross lover want shota's dick while his existence is just being a virus in network
That doesn't sound bad
>love of his life
Lol, Iris wasn't even a love interest. Not only that but she couldn't manage to leave a scratch on him even after powering herself up with a fancy Ride Armor.
He thinks about her when he's dying thoughbeit
in x5 but then gets over it by x6. then depending if you go to x7 of z1 he either stops caring or just completely forgets her.
Isn't X7 like a hundred years after X6? Even if there was something there, the b***h had been dead for a lifetime. At that point it's just compounded guilt since he winds up sealing himself away eventually.
>Isn't X7 like a hundred years after X6?
no
>Even if there was something there, the b***h had been dead for a lifetime
by the time z1 starts zero went to sleep for 100 years got woken up for the elf wars then went to sleep for another 100. zero goes to sleep in x6 because of the nightmare virus being made with a sample of his dna that had the zero virus antics from x5.
He gets over it because she gets revived when he time travels to the past. Then he gets closure and she goes in peace.
that wasn't a revival or time travel she and vile were just in cyberspace. then vile comes back in x8.
She was revived with the power of the Feydooms.
rent free
Cute nazi
uhh actually OP, iris isn't racist, she's just an anthrophobe.
>hates the human race
sounds racist to me
why? humans don't have giant buster cannons available to shoot her with
Made for horse wiener.
You mean the Skiver Pegasus?
This. She gives them rimjobs and milks their wieners
She's into humans so no, that excludes blacks
I can't believe Repliforce was literally performing white genocide
she hates humanity, moron

How nice of X4 to suddenly introduce an entire side cast and organization that has been working together with the protagonists for so long and then have all of them die and the organization being disbanded in the same game.
the legacy of Mac and the green biker guy
>He hasn't played Xtreme 2
that released after x4 and just makes the whole idea even dumber
Xtreme 2 came after X5
In the timeline, Xtreme 2 takes place after X3 but before the events of X4. Even X6 explains the events that happened in Xtreme 2.
>Xtreme 2 takes place after X3 but before the events of X4
yes and it was made after x5. they literally tried making iris a navigator because they wanted to have her do more.
that's efficient storytelling
X4 was the series started being about Zero
?si=MB4wErDlhISEPGI0

i have a important question, can she kill you with her bare hands? no weapons just her bare soft robot hands?
She should
She's still a reploid so she can probably pop you like a grape.
I recall some comment about iris being made into a diplomat with all her points being allocated charisma while colonel being solely a fighter with all his points going into str and dex
She should be one of the least physically strong reploids out there
she was in the repliforce r&d as a researcher and sent to the maverick hunters for training in a sort of exchange program between the two forces.
>charisma
Pussy grip strength more like
How Iris' portrait as a cutesy girl contrasts with her wish to live in a world without humans always get my dick hard.
She just wants to murder all human in general, not you specifically so that makes it okay.
ever met a rich girl?
So why Repliforce had a life-wiping weapon floating around the orbit of earth?
as a deterrent to not get attacked even though they blew up two city populations after refusing to cooperate with the sky lagoon framing.
that deterrent sure didn't work
It worked just fine.
Love fighting this guy as Zero, I always do his stage first
Imagine a 16 bit X4
That Iris sprite looks horrendous
Yeah 16 bit doesn't work they dropped it for good reason
True though. You can't convey enough details with 16 bit limitations.
The Colonel won’t like that
Imagine a 32-bit X1-X3 and X7-X8
I don’t have to imagine, because I already got it
What about N64 64-bit?
SNES home port when? Look Rockman & Forte inspiring.
>either Sigma nudges him or Dragoon comes up with the idea himself that killing a whole bunch of humans will finally get him a challenging fight versus X or Zero
>during this commotion Sigma makes sure he's seen talking to the upper brass of Repliforce
>despite the main force of Repliforce not being responsible for that attack, Magma Dragoon being a part of their forces + Sigma being seen conversing talking to them makes them look guilty as frick and almost guaranteed to be labeled as Mavericks and deactivated even if they did surrender so they go full Maverick anyway.
>Sigma installs a mole in X's unit too just to keep an eye on him
>bonus of causing torment to Zero since he'll end up having to kill his girlfriend too
One of Sigma's more elaborate plans to be a dick.
Funny thing is that Zero gets over it and Iris doesn't even start liking Zero until he saves her in the intro. She was just extra collateral who went moron.
In her defense she was basically half lobotomized and going to die soon anyway when you killed her brother as they were both halves of a full unit.
>half lobotomized
True
>going to die soon anyway
That one wasn't. That was just Middy and Techno.
Iris would've been rounded up and killed alongside the rest of the Repliforce if they had surrendered at that point. Might as well go out swinging.
She was rescued and running around in the maverick hunter HQ during all that. She chose to run off to try and kill Zero.
A noble deed. More people should try and kill Zero.
Iris and Colonel were stupidly made. Those scientists suck.
to be fair they were trying to copy x but the programs conflicted with each other. so they made military man colonel and researcher iris.
Did you look at the intro animation? She likes him even before being saved in sky lagoon.
The legacy collection notes tells you that Iris didn't even start liking Zero until she was saved by him.
You mean most. Every other iterations of Sigma's plan is just MWAHAHAHA tier or he took a second seat to someone else (Wily, Lumina, Gate)
Repliforce was already on thin ice, no one would overlook a bunch of reploids talking about creating a segregated nation, the first hint of conflict was enough to set everything on fire
it was never going to work because they already blew up humans with an airfleet and and a naval squadron.
Nice.
Is the mobile game that went single player worth playing if you're a megaman pleb? When i played X5 the only thing i was thinking during the story parts was "i have no idea what's happening in this game's plot".
X5 is a mess
X Dive Offline is serviceable it's just really basic MMX gameplay and levels with your favorite character from the series
The game is only really enjoyable if you're a die-hard fan that can put up with grinding since it includes characters, stages and references to every single sub series. Even then, it's barely a 7/10
I love when artists give them their robotic creases in their skin, rather than just making them generic anime girls
They canonically have those
And I love it! Embracing that they’re cute robots!
Hell no. Who else could it be?
Yeah and I'm going to frick the racism out of her
Genuine question, do whitecels actually believe that voluptuous robot women like this would choose them when human white women all left them for black dick? Are you really that delusional?
Genuine question, why do hispanics post this shit? Is it because they were conquered and raped by whites or is it coming from some sort of twisted sense of submissiveness?
it's a very specific Black folkchizo
It's literally just Latin Americans go look at Ganker
Oh frick I was in that thread...Those "people" make me feel more shame for being a dirty Hispanic, than anything my country can do (which is alredy. Pretty fricking low)
Oh my, another buck wants a turn in the breaking barn. Git yer ass moving boy!
Genuine question, why haven't you killed yourself yet? I mean that honestly. What do you even do? Who's life is better because you exist?

What even was the point of Sigma virus if reploids sperged out anyway? Maverick hunter squads were present and had their hands full before Zero was woken up and spread his schizo virus.
a reason to have sigma return
Can't pull a Dr. Wily and just bow and scrape for forgiveness, so Sigma has to come back somehow
From your post it sounds like you were absolving Wily of blame
It was the producer at the time or something.
Nice breasts.
However, megaman will never get another new game.
How does that make you feel?
I've been angry since Legends 3, so it doesn't change anything. They release that one game and I'd be able to let Mega Man retire.
Megaman gets all the good fan games so I don't really care that much.
>people always posting hot Megaman girls
>actually play one of the games
> there's almost no girls to be found
Am I just playing the wrong ones? Or do people make fan art of girls who are on screen for a total of 10 minutes?
What ones did you play?
I've played the originals and the megaman x collections.
Did you not play X8?
Classic series literally has only one female boss in the entire franchise.
you just answered your own question
meanwhile, the actual main girls get almost fricking nothing
I’ve been playing ZX Collection and Aile has the cutest crawl animation!
I want her to crawl on top of me!
Legends has the highest concentration of major female characters.
Never played any of the 3d ones are they good?
Legends is my favorite series. Putting my biases aside, they're adventurous, fun, and have a great artstyle, but won't blow your mind on the gameplay side of things.
could always make art of girls who only show up in despised games
The Xover design wouldn't have been so laughed at if he didn't try to copy Soma's fur trimmed coat. Why would a warrior robot need a fur coat anyway?
He's half-Russian and couldn't wear the hat.
Hey now, she was also the navigator for everyone's favorite mobile Megaman game, Rockman X-Over.
>Layer and Palette enter in X8
I bet a lot of people here didn’t “beat the game” by unlocking all the navigators
I did
Legit a cool addition and it still baffles me that people considered this a bad game years after
X8 isn't considered "bad" in the same vein that X7 is. Just wasn't the return to form for the series that many had hoped and came too little too late.
Layer had the most unfair advantage over the other two since she had more access to Zero's stuff than Alia had to X's and Pallette's to Axel.
Alia with her own custom armors you could build would've been cool
Pallette just needed a new gimmick entirely
It's really more that Zero doesn't change all that much between his normal form and his black Zero form except for stats.
>SF
I can’t stop thinking about Street Fighter when I see the abbreviation of SF
Wish this got a console port or sequel, why can’t Megaman have its own Sonic Mania? Hell Capcom loves Street Fighter so much you would think they would milk this
The MM x SF game was a fangame that Capcom grabbed and released themselves as they wanted SOMETHING for an anniversary as they didn't care enough to think of anything by themselves.
If Capcom was a good company they'd grab and release Mega Man X Corrupted whenever that's out.
>release Mega Man X Corrupted whenever that's out
>15 years already
It is so close I can fricking taste it, but even still it's so far away. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/16VLKxugLLZMaSWz6yDm9cD7dLF7KfI4V82vMBwpnwdg/edit
News came out that all the ride armors are being added so add another 7 years
Eh that shouldn't take too long. Granted he's actively looking for things to feature-creep in at this point. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6M0ZOVa-f1c
>Eh that shouldn't take too long
>12 years later
I don't get it. This is just Megaman X3 worse problems in steroids, Along with Megaman games not being able to crame alot of content, without looking like feature creep (the only exceptions being Legends and BN/SF, but that is mostly because they aren't limited by the usual 8 jobbers x Final boss stages)
I forgive it in light of the fact that part of that feature creep includes all armors from X1-6 and all of them can be mix-and-matched with themselves and the two new Phoenix and Hydra armors.
>Has a thousand new armors/ride armods
>None of that matters, because the game stages are only 10 minutes at best.
>The game can be completed in 2-3 hours
This, I never stay in ride armors in most of the games anyway as I would rather run and dash around normally.
>from X1-6
they're adding more than that.
what do you mean like the X7 and X8 armors or do you mean more OC armors
yes and the banana armor
Have you tried Megaman Zero?
Dats Lev.
>Am I just playing the wrong ones?
Yeah, most megagays are actually into the gameplay and lorehomosexualry.
>Or do people make fan art of girls who are on screen for a total of 10 minutes?
Yup, pretty much.
A good human dicking would fix her.
Stop thinking about sex, I just want to hug a Robot that’s all
Frick that what’s the cooler designation Maverick or Irregular?
I counted both words syllables on my hand and Irregular is 4 syllables which is a bit of a mouthful, while Maverick is 3 syllables
reminder that wily was the mastermind behind the eurasia colony drop and that he was perfectly willing to cause mass extinction simply to perfect his masterpiece
It’s actually quite interesting how many robot masters did he actually create or steal
?si=96BwW7QpwjiiUnzu
Well, there's rockman-san at least.
>Wily dies in a log cabin
Wait what
He just retired to a cabin in the woods.
>The ""climax"" of the X series
>A shitty two-minute fight over a nothingburger disagreement that consists of repurposed assets
Wish I lived in the timeline where X5 and X6 got the dev time and resources they needed
The ironic part is that despite the development time for X6 the story is far better than X5s
Aside from a couple of really crappy levels, X6 is just a better game overall.
It really is especially with X
X5 is just underwhelming, but still a finished game. It lacks any areas or situations where a player can unintentionally softlock themselves out of the game or parts that literally don't work. For that reason, it's objectively "better" as a game, just boring.
>It lacks any areas or situations where a player can unintentionally softlock themselves out of the game or parts that literally don't work
You are aware that rng can literally frick you out of anything you've invested into Zero, right?
X6 tried to hide itself while it repaired itself. It didn't work.
>Aside from a couple of really crappy levels,
Rainy Turtloid
Blaze Heatnix
Blizzard Wolfang
Metal Shark Player
Infinity Mijinion
Gate stage 2
...yeah, aside from those levels, the game is not terrible.
Stop talking about buttholes and post female reploid buttholes
Marino's got a nice ass.
x4 should've done the nuking the surface of the earth plot as its finale. Have Final Weapon fire. Then 5 and 6 be the aftermath/wrap up.
Nana
The number of times I have jerked off to the thought of being turned into Nana and sexually reprogrammed by that headset cannot be overstated.
why it is attached to she's crotch?
Because there is no seat for the whole chair?
Iris and Alia are ultimate sexo
They did Sigma dirty in X8 and I actually felt sorry for him in X6. Sigma did not deserve the closure he got. Capcom should have gave Sigma a gigachad ending like he deserved.
Fun fact, Sigma was going to come back at all instead Gate was going to become the reoccurring antagonist
Wasn't*
They should have done that instead of what happened to Sigma. Sigma really got written off in the worst way. I don't like the closure they gave him. He was a good antagonist honestly.
Don't worry, if they ever make X9 they'll bring him back as part of its "appeal to old fans" approach.
x3's ending reveal of him becoming reploid Satan before Doppler shows up was great, his following two plans mostly working made him a great villain after his failures.
For Z but it's different with X.
X leads into Zero no matter how Capcom try to pretend they don't.
It does but like the classic series it continues as it's own continuity
>No matter what Megaman has to die. Its what sparks the creation of X.
But that's already wrong because X's creation is based on Light wanting to make a robot that can think for itself.
>Did he turn into Quint?
Literally a different timeline in the future.
>It's inevitable
But it's not.
I was joking about Quint anon. I know he's from a timeline where Wily got to him. I was making the point that we'll never get to see the exact circumstances where Light built X and Wily built Zero.
>Light wanting to make a robot that can think for itself.
Yes I've played Maverick Hunter X
>I've played Maverick Hunter X
>literally the idea originally from X1
Anon please
True but Rock still has to disappear at some point in the undetermined future before X wakes up. And it's set in stone that this happens less than 100 years after Classic.
Only if you follow Zero's ending in X6 which ironically gave a connection after it was found out that Inafune wanted X5 to be the ending for the X series which makes the whole thing messier.
that's so much fricking cooler than what we got.
I'd clang that racist.
>he thinks X8 was Sigma's real death
You fell for marketing
Literally has to be real because new generation reploids can't get infected
Yeah, they can just morph into him instead because they all have his chip installed. Foolproof!
I always figured that he's still alive but now trapped on the moon. As long as he has no one around to bodyjack his way back to earth, he can't do anything.
Of course, that's an easy thing to frick up if a new game demands it.
>meteor with enough components to help transmit signals passes by moon
>sigma manages to hitch a ride as it falls to earth
>it's on earth and he can transmit himself to things
it's not like the moon base is destroyed either

I find it funny how they took one of the most annoying characters in the serious and gave her a really strange and fricked up/interesting backstory one game later
X6 Alia feels like they really regretted Iris basically not mattering. I remember Iris got put into Xtreme 2 on GBC for the same reason.
The worst part is she still didn't matter in Xtreme 2. At least Alia in X5 was trying to be used even if annoying.

In the future man diapers are more fashionable than boob lights.
thongs do not work effectively as diapers, trust me i know
Artstyle change, Nakayama draws all of his stuff that way, even Kamen Riders.

Main timeline sucks
What mechanical parts would any anons here get if they were living in the ZX Era?
An artificial stomach for me
Enough to make me an exact replica of Alia. I'm sure throwbacks are considered retro fashion somewhere.
After she's done with you you're going to have a thrown back.
Why do you want to alter your body to look like a female reploid from hundreds of years ago when you could just get a reploid gf and have her cosplay for you?
I still think the wildest thing is how short the timeline for the whole X series isn't really that many years, and some games are weeks apart.
between x1-3 it's a few months to a year at most. x4-6 is also a few months at most and a few weeks at best. x7 and x8 don't really say how much time between them and command mission happens in 22xx. no determined time between x3-4 other than xtreme 2 happening a few months before x4 and no time between x6, 7 and 8.
Wasn't Clownman Willy's favorite or something like that
So this was what Zero was fighting for
Not bad
I like how she gets an armor in this game that completely outclasses every Zero
The only one that did any outclassing was the last alt they gave her.
>So this was what Zero was fighting for
>is calling out to (You)
doesn't seem like Zero to me.
Incidentally, I don’t think any devs would have the balls to kill off the cute anime girl in the story these days.
About that...the Zero/ZX devs say hi.
>these days
for the record the most recent killings from inti was in gunvolt and even they started getting away from that.
those didn't really the cute anime girls
man I need to replay X-X5 at some point
Is it just me or are all of Capcom's music designers fricking talentless nowadays?
Capcom has really good musicians but I think they are suffering from weird top down trend dictating.
?list=PLIdJDmCavWgOcWb3Rw8XIOTR-Go93CCKa
The SFV, Capcom Fighting Collection and Arcade Stadium soundtracks are all excellent.
But then MM11 and Street Fighter 6 are fricking grim.
>Capcom has really good musicians but I think they are suffering from weird top down trend dictating.
I think they have some seriously talented people regulated to making atmospheric bongs and boops and not much else.
well for SF6 it was clearly some forced le hiphop shit and its not working out.
it lacks melody and energy both. but MM11 also suffered from not having a kick in its soundtrack.
monster hunter songs are also much more orchestral now but it feels weaker.
I hate it.
I've noticed it too, a lot of Capcom games have mediocre generic music now. All the good composers probably left I'm guessing and they're stuck with more inexperienced newbies.
I miss Megaman X so much bros
it's celebrating the 30th this next year and command mission has its 20th this year. maybe a command mission 2 happens since the ending had 8 lights fly off from ferham's supra force metal suicide.
Yeah. I even find myself almost missing Daibu, as shitty as it was. Hope the mod scene takes off for it, though, mite b cool.

Yes. And my evidence is the pic you just posted. Gore Ico is the hottest girl in the entire game arguably.
Also from my experience most people can't wait to mod in the cut shit asap.
How many reploid bawds are into X/Zero respectively?
in the x series for x maybe berkana before she got sent to the stake and maybe nana. for zero there was iris for like a couple of days before she croaks, layer and cinnamon. in the zero series maybe that one reploid resistance girl that gave him a kiss and possibly leviathan.
What about Dive girls?
for (you)
I wonder how long it took after reploids became commonplace in society for X to join the Maverick hunters.
So am I
And I'm gonna fricking win
Zero needed a girl he couldn't either kill or get killed.
There's a girl with subtank breasts.
Fricking hell. I CAME TO THIS THREAD to see roll pictures BUT THERE ARE BARELY ROLL PICTURES

Lore and character discussions are better than Roll pictures.
Roll posts are against the rules. Please understand.
If she's a racist I'm a Lamborghini, ya smell me
Why did Capcom abandon Mega Man?
They over saturated the market with a million games at once and when they stopped selling so well they burned it all down.the series has sort of been rousing from its slumber since the collections started rolling out but it’s too niche now for a full return. That might change someday but I wouldn’t hold my breath because it might take a while.
Capcom doesn't really want to make smaller games right now. Maybe after than dino multiplayer service game fails they'll crawl back to their old dormant franchises.
They are too stupid to realize that Legends was a good idea executed too early.
I wonder if a remake of Legends would do well these days. Could be good to reintroduce people to it a gauge interest in the series.
I think so. If not a straight remake then a new game that
That is Iris, Zero's girlfriend in Mega Man X4 She is also a boss that you kill in the same game.
You’re telling me humanity went extinct in the future because of the flood even though they had technologies capable of colonizing other planets?
I only played some of the original Megaman games and the snes ones, is humanity okay? In X all I saw was robots and Dr. Light's hologram, what's the ratio of humanity to robots, since it seems there are thousands if not tens of thousands or hundreds of humanoid robots.
Further down the timeline the line between human and reploid become so blurred that there’s hardly any distinction between them and then by the time of Legends the last 100% natural human is long dead.
Wait, they are all robots? Even the girl in a wheelchair you have to buy equipment for the hospital for, that I saw a webm a couple weeks back?
By Legends everything on the surface is something called a Carbon. The last human lived on the moon and offed himself before giving admin control to the Megaman of his era.
>is humanity okay?
So?
Only against the human race.
What's the lore for DIVE?
Literally me gets sucked into the vidya world and fricks Iris.
All the adventures of the Mega Man series happened in some weird digital world and you're a player who gets sucked inside, stuff is messing with this data and you have to fix it
>(you)'re playing X1 but suddenly wake up in the deep log
>RiCO (blue haired girl) tells you all the X series data is being corrupted and you have to fix it
>eventually find out that other sub series got corrupted too
