Why take a risk, when you can shill the proven moneymakers over again? GF learned their lesson from the poor reception gen 5 dex got. Pikachu, Charizard, Lucario etc. will always be front and center in terms of promotion.
It’s not a huge deal but it kind of takes me out of it knowing Pikachu, Lucario, Charizard, and Eevee will be in every paired game going forward even with the dex cut established.
