There's no real reason, it was kind of a soft reboot of 1 and 2's plot. In IVA they realized it was kind of stupid and they retconned that Lucifer as being a piece of Satan instead of the same Lucifer as the other games.

It took over a year for Ryujinx to be updated with a fix for the text box transitions.
Brother, I played it on release on Yuzu and there were graphical glitches everywhere and you couldn't unlock the FPS without the game shitting itself. After it crashed THREE TIMES after starting combat around 10 or so times yesterday I completely gave up. No way I'm playing at 30FPS.

Yuzu for me had graphical messes, Ryujinx didn't seem to. I could probably fix said issues but Ryujinx mostly had none and ran the game at 60 with the other mod enhancement shit so I stuck with it. I use AMD if that matters
I played it on RyujinX on release and it was largely fine. Yuzu had some texture issues for me I remember.
There some minor issues on RyujinX but they patched them pretty quickly, ended up running much better than on Switch after a few days
I played through the true ending on ryujinx about 2 years ago with no bugs that I could recognize.

It's weirdly calm at first but you queue up your sick new lightning attack, calling it down from the sky. Just as it lands, 0:12 starts.

Kaneko's notes were basically about having the same game twice, first as Counter-Demon Force, then as their reincarnations as Samurai. Atlus wasn't exactly in position to fund two full games at the time, and it does work better for the story if CDF part is entirely relegated to flashbacks, since it builds mystery. But that's basically it, there were so many characters that ended up doing literally nothing, like Skins and Fujiwara. Hikaru and Lilith were also complete ass. So yes, the best part is just traveling around and talking to NPCs, it gives you an illusion of a fuller game.

IV:A on the other hand is way harder and better balanced than IV.

Why is there still no SMT X persona cross over games where persona characters have to face the post-apocalyptic world and fight devil summoners? (I know persona 2 kinda did that but it was still mostly a smt spin-off then)

The guest art version? Probably not that high. So it depends on if they want to get Doi to pull one out his ass or not because it's unlikely they go for the older designs.

It works 99% fine. The only thing you might encounter is the animation for demons dying may be slightly messed up but otherwise it's fine.

That being said I really like a lot of his new designs for V.
Hydra, aitvaras, kaya no hime, loup garou, fionn and the new imp/angel are very solid designs.
I do think he has improved a lot for V, but man give me any of kaneko's angels over the doi angel any day. I really hate V's luci design as well. I shudder for the day they replace pixie. I'm sure it's coming eventually.
