We're gonna get a P4G remake before we hear rumblings of DDS HD, and that's sad.
At least they're two of the games that emulate more cleanly than most through PCSX2

It's the best SMT game 100%., hopefully MetaPhor lives up to it, because from what I see, it's like Persona/DDS slapped together.
What about it? IV:A is very close behind, and smirk is kino so I can see why you'd prefer it but there's no way that Nocturne's gameplay is better than V's
>IVA makes you feel like a summoner at the hardest difficulty, I keep swapping out demons with the huge stock you're given in that game >mfw swapping multiple demons every round vs Sukuna-Hikona
You're absolutely right, though V does let you swap demons a lot, it takes a while to get all the stock upgrades because you usually have to spend glory on other shit first while in IV:A you can go all in on stock and get max stock at level 20 or earlier. Agility fricking with the turn order is a bit annoying but then again looking at the agility stat of the demons in my stock to figure out which one won't frick up the order is another cool factor
I don't care the combat is inferior and that's all that matters
also I don't like how Nahobino's running animation doesn't match his speed and he just looks like he's sliding
I swear I used all my demons and lost them all only to eek by a victory vs this butthole, and it felt great
to this day I don't know why people found this fight difficult
the normal Krishna fight is much harder because of the bullshit status/debuff spam

Only until the halfway point, once he starts spamming Moxagita he's done for since he stops using his -dynes and Dream Raga. If you use the right armor he can't even hit Nanashi due to immunity to the ailments from Venomous Raga.
>have tried at least 3 times to get into SMT at large with Nocturne >hard because I want to think when I play >able to make progress but burn out by level 15 or so since cheap deaths are literally everywhere
Those cheap deaths are really only prevalent on Hard, and the solution is to grind near save points & pump agility so you get ambushed less. Or just play on Normal.
In my experience, none of the games have been more CBT-tier than fighting Nocturne's Matador except he has an extra press turn, and gets full agility from red capote
Wait, grinding is intended for once? Nearly every JRPG I play including Persona has just had it as the "make game easy" option. I guess I'll make my next attempt on normal then.
>Wait, grinding is intended for once?
It's optional, using buffs and debuffs correctly is the only difference between people who beat Nocturne and people who go back to playing Pokemon and stay in their fricking lane.
The hardest part of any smt is the start, the further you go the less you need to grind. In Nocturne's case it's because demifiend will start mopping the field on his own.
Also what the other guy said. You should absolutely be bringing kaja/kunda spells. You can get Fog Breath very early in 3 , which is two stacks of agility down to the entire enemy team per cast. Expensive at that stage of the game, but indispensable.
It's because level 18 is a magic number in SMT at large. At this point you start getting all the tools and "resist X" becomes available for inheritance. Matador in Nocturne, Minotaur in IV, Sukuna in Final, Rampage Drive in P3 are all around that part and you don't have the maneuvering space to efficiently deal with them yet.
>whenever anyone mentions smt iv getting a port people mention it wouldn't work because "muh 3DS" game >despite multiple DS games getting switch ports >despite SMT iv being entirely playable without touchscreen
I NEED THE FRICKING PORT ALREADY FATLUS, I DON'T WANT TO EMULATE IT IN SHITRA ANYMORE !
IT'S LITERALLY THE BEST SMT, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR !
The persona writing of IV A is pretty shitty but I find the whole choice at the end of the game to be straight up hilarious. I always choose to kill my friends.
Hell, first party alone the among of games stuck on 3DS is absurd, specially when you remember that among all the possible games they could port/remaster, they choice Miitopia of all things.
Hell, first party alone the among of games stuck on 3DS is absurd, specially when you remember that among all the possible games they could port/remaster, they choice Miitopia of all things.
They aren't making 3DS ports because the Switch 2 is actually just another DS
I'm just halfway through the game and I don't think I have a define team yet... but the amount of times this girl has saved my ass when shit hit the fan is embarrassing.
For the guy struggling with "DREAD LEVEL 18" syndrome of SMT, just get a demon with Media. That Aze no Zume Japanese whatever lady is a perfect counter for Matador, only need to grind out for Media.
How is P3 reload a demake though? the only thing it lacks is the answer, but it still has all the QOL changes and content from FES on top of the original shit being remade from scratch right?
First shouldn't be too hard, for whatever reason in my run Ouroboros kept spamming Dekunda so all I had to do was bring a bunch of Agi spammers to outpace her healing; if you're playing Redux this might be fixed (haven't played it yet) but if you're playing OG you just need to buff attack, and spam agi spells. There are a bunch of recruitable neutral-aligned agilao users by this point so even if you aren't fusing you shouldn't have much trouble, that's what I did even though I was law-aligned since there's only one good law-aligned agi user at this part of the game. If you are fusing I think Black Frost's D-source has Agidyne so use that
If she is attacking instead of spamming Dekunda, then use Tetraja Stones to block Mahama, elec resistance (if possible) to deal with Wild Thunder, maybe debuff her to -3 if she refuses to use Dekunda, and as for Disaster Cycle, you'll just have to deal with that shit if you're not playing Redux. Use the Supple ring to stop protag from dying to stone status, and use items to remove ailments from your demons. Also bring someone with Mediarama (Senri has it, but she's law aligned) and buff defense
That's a famous gatekeeper fight. Incredibly tough. I searched on GameFAQs for a team counter to download the code with. Best Google GameFAQs, Strange Journey, and team password to help.
Also use a gun with Armshot to debuff attack if you don't have anyone with Fang Breaker or Tarunda
Vivian's D-source has Luster Candy as well, so if you're still struggling you can fuse a demon with that which should make the fight ridiculously easy
If you have Fang Breaker/Tarunda then make the gun that has Flame Shot, if not then make the gun that has Armshot (unless Ouroboros is spamming Dekunda)
Man, it took me 10 years to beat SMT4, because I played the shit out of it when it came out in like 2013, but for some reason I stopped a bit around halfway, before you go to the future/past? Then I came back to it in 2023 and finished it and man was it awesome. I really should had finished it all in one go back then, maybe I should do a NG+ some time, still haven't played Apocalypse though...
i like how the black market entrance is made up of flat sprites and a few bent sprites to give the impression of depth. iv's low poly environs were really nice.
no shit and the sky is blue
The sky is indeed blue.
>DO NOT REDEEM THE THRONE!!!
made me chuckle
Palworld is better than both of them
I think Persona is better than SMT in both story and gameplay.
i think nu-persona and smt both target different audiences.
personally i prefer the darker and more isolated atmosphere of SMT.

for me, it's Members-Only Club

DDS1+2 is the best SMT game period
We're gonna get a P4G remake before we hear rumblings of DDS HD, and that's sad.

Yes

I think IVA is slightly better in terms of gameplay but I agree with you otherwise.
IVA makes you feel like a summoner at the hardest difficulty, I keep swapping out demons with the huge stock you're given in that game

nice bait
From a purely gameplay stand point, you underestimate how relaxing and addicting it is to Naruto-run through the ruins of Tokyo hunting for Miman.
agree, game's a breath of fresh air after 4 mainline games of dungeon delvin'
it might have been fun if the game ran above 15 frame per second

its one of those games that doesn't really need a 2nd screen, no idea why you couldn't port it.

ATLUS YOU homosexualS COME THE FRICK ON
>Difficulty curve
hope you're talking bout Vanilla, I like A's curve
yeah
the could fix vanilla's difficulty, but not A's writting I guess
I still enjoyed seeing that little girl cum in front of the party, based Atlus
The persona writing of IV A is pretty shitty but I find the whole choice at the end of the game to be straight up hilarious. I always choose to kill my friends.
Feels like there's a lot of games still stuck on 3DS.
Still waiting for that Kid Icarus port, Soccer Guy

Is your source "new game bad"? Because thats about the only thing I can think of. SMT4 was trash.
It's not even better than the original P3.
Post them teams.
Titania
Succubus
Lilim
and, of course, Alice
Sup, I heard you want to win the midgame
I'm just halfway through the game and I don't think I have a define team yet... but the amount of times this girl has saved my ass when shit hit the fan is embarrassing.
Nahobino
Mastema
Mothman
Mermaid
I can't make this team yet because Mastema and Nahobino don't overlap, but very soon V Maniax will certainly let me make my dream team.
Nwordbino
Amanozako
Fionn Mac Cumhaill
King Frost
For the guy struggling with "DREAD LEVEL 18" syndrome of SMT, just get a demon with Media. That Aze no Zume Japanese whatever lady is a perfect counter for Matador, only need to grind out for Media.

stupid game

Persona 3 FES was $30 and a complete game. Persona 3 Demake is a $70 unfinished game. Go slurp Persona shit in /vg/ Persona general.
Hate /pg/ so nah I'm not going there, but it's not really a demake if they remade all the towns and art and models right
>if they remade all the towns and art and models right
shame that isn't the case.
post Nanashis
Ummmm… why are we discussing a quality monster hunter game instead of Palworld!
Alright, I’m stuck at Ourobourus in Strange Journey and I want to know what I can do? I’m level 39 and neutral.
First fight or second?
First
First shouldn't be too hard, for whatever reason in my run Ouroboros kept spamming Dekunda so all I had to do was bring a bunch of Agi spammers to outpace her healing; if you're playing Redux this might be fixed (haven't played it yet) but if you're playing OG you just need to buff attack, and spam agi spells. I got the super powerful gun from the Jack Frost in sector C, but that doesn’t have fire.
If you have Fang Breaker/Tarunda then make the gun that has Flame Shot, if not then make the gun that has Armshot (unless Ouroboros is spamming Dekunda)
I have the arm shot one.
Then use that, surviving without being at +4 defense (+3 in second fight bc of Silent Prayer) and Ouroboros at -3 attack is very difficult
I need more so the debuff for his defence since I can’t outdamage his healing
Man, it took me 10 years to beat SMT4, because I played the shit out of it when it came out in like 2013, but for some reason I stopped a bit around halfway, before you go to the future/past? I remember using firearm damage the most for the snake fight you're stuck on and letting my team demons be support.
I really love the Blasted Tokyo/Infernal Tokyo portion of this game. The soundtrack in both timelines is amazing
frick yeah. I though the game was about to end and then you get a new battle theme and some kinos like
>that live action Persona 3 Demake ad
>they even censored the firearm Evoker summoning gesture completely
Persona gays are the biggest embarrassment.
How did they fit so much soul onto the 3DS
3DS was such a kino system
i like how the black market entrance is made up of flat sprites and a few bent sprites to give the impression of depth. iv's low poly environs were really nice.
Fatlus peaked with all their late 3DS entries
we'll never get games that good ever again
Love SMT4, love P3, gonna play the remake. Simple as. Pic related, it's me.
And SMT 4A is fricking garbage. Frick those new developers that wanted to turn SMT into Persona-lite.
>we want the Yu-Gi-Oh audience
SHUT UP homie HAMA RAY GO
Persona got ruined by normalgays coming in with 4 Golden and Persona 5 leaving PS3 and PS4.
Persona was ruined when it decided to appeal to waifu homosexuals that only play for the dating sim elements
smt:If should've been more than a one and done.
You can't stop me from enjoying both of them.
