>What is Devil Summoner Soul Hackers >What is Digital Devil Saga >What is Shin Megami Tensei Nine. >What is Shin Megami Tensei If...
Also imagine getting filtered by first person dungeon crawling in 1 + 2, couldn't be me.
Soul Hackers and DDS are great but not SMT and Nine and if... blow. That said 1, 2, Nocturne, and Strange Journey are all excellent and IV is mostly great as well.
Remember when people kept trying to hype up If... as a dark horse entry and it finally got translated then people realized it sucked? It's funny because everyone stopped pretending to like it after that except for who definitely has never played any of those games.
I only didn't play Nine, but it did 3D before Nocturne so I don't know why Nocturne Babies have to act like it's the only good game just because it's third person and 3D.
>imagine getting filtered by average games
Black person, there're more games to play than there is time to live. No way I'm spending time with clusterfricks like 1,2, if, and untranslated garbage that require scripts.
original PlayStation 2 doesnt have voice acting, and to be honest going into the remaster the voices feel quite weird but if you havent played it perhaps itll seem normal
in the remaster im pretty sure you can choose english or jap
the game is more atmospheric without a dub if you care about that (imo one of the best qualities of nocturne)
in the remaster you can choose en, jp or turn off the voices
the game was made without voices in mind so do what you want
atlus do not say this because shin megami tensei 4 and in places apocalypse are so clearly related to the 90s games, in particular megami tensei 2 and shin megami tensei 1 + 2, in aspects that do not really fit with shin megami tensei 3. strange journey also doesnt use press turn. if they went straight on to shin megami tensei 5 after 3 they would say this
You people are weird, Shin Megami Tensei 1 actually holds up pretty well
Its annoying that the UI takes up like half the screen but if you've ever played a dungeon crawler like Etrian or something its not that far removed
Simpler in fact since the dungeons are less maze-y
The automap was garbage even compared to some NES games, the combat is mindless tedium so easy that you can solo the vast majority of the game with just humans and an encounter rate from hell
And also ends at 3 because it's the only good one.

>bloo bloo bloo

Digital Devil Saga and Devil Summoner Soul Hackers were officially localized.
DDS is garbage for FF gays
It also ends at 3. I did not like 4 or 4A
smt 2 is still the best in the series
Should I emulate the PS2 version or play the one on Steam?
no one says this
ones free but the other lets you choose which skills your demons inherit in fusion
Is the PS2 Nocturne DUB only? I'd rather play it subbed.

Thanks. Might as well get the Steam port.

The garbage audio quality of the localized PS2 soundtrack is what really carries the atmosphere.
>this
I remember hearing it for the first time and was like this a low quality attempt at a battle theme. Now it's the standard
are you atlus?
atlus says this

I like apocalypse
Just like Persona, then.
>Shin Megami Tensei starts at 3
>Persona starts at 3
>Final Fantasy starts at 7
Why are Japanese games like this

>so easy
is easily cheeseable, but it's definitely not easy
I tried soul hackers and wasn't a fan of the combat so I dropped it after I finished the frozen warehouse place.
