disgusting colors. If it barely changes it at least isn't horrible to look at

its a case by case basis.
ive come to love alot of "ugly" shiny pokemon others hate. idk, i just focus on whats good?

Barely changes is by the far the worst. What even is the point if it will be even hard to tell the difference. I wanted to kill myself with how terrible was to hunt Pichu in SV. I will never do this ever again.

Ones that barely change. I'll take an ugly yellow and green Tauros over a Charcadet that only changes the color of its eyes.

It wasn't like this in Gen 2. How did we go from yellow normal and orange shiny to pastel yellow normal and "Pikachu-colored" shiny?

You know what sucked the most about this slight different yellow? Shadows and light changed the fricking colors all the time and they all looked shiny. Frick me really it was horrible. I also couldn't kill more of them because it was going to end.

that "pikachu-colored pichu" campaign they ran at the end of gen 4 conditioned me to be able to spot pichu

They are both great. I love distinct shinies and hard to spot shinies, it's all about the colors and how they look on the screen.

First one, by far. Stuff like Togekiss and Blaziken are some of my favorite shinies because they don’t look like tacky garbage.

Always a barely changes. An "ugly" one will appeal to somebody out there, there are shinies I think are bad that people love and shinies I love that other people think are bad.
There's nothing to be gained from a shitty shiny that may as well not exist.

The second. Chances are someone will like the weird colors. Almost identical shinies might as well not exist.

      This.

Why would an ugly one be appealing to someone but it's impossible for one that barely changes to be appealing?

if you like a nothingburger shiny palette you can get the same thing by using a non-shiny, obviously

Snorlax is a pretty subtle color change and it's one of my favorite shinies.

I find Snorlax's regular color ugly in a washed, faded out way. The dark blue shiny is much better despite not being radically different

Barely changing, at least I could trade the ugly one for something else.
Garchomp having basically next to no change is frustrating, I would take puke green and orange over what it got.

      >I would take puke green and orange over what it got.
that unironically resulted into one of my favorite shinies

no change, nothing should have a shiny like that. i'll take a million hawluchas before i take another garchomp.

Disgusting colors. If a shiny barely changes, I don't have to feel bad about potentially missing it.

Worse than both is a shiny coloration that changes completely when the Pokemon evolves, despite not changing its normal colors much(if at all)

Shiny that barely changes but still looks way better than the standard palette. Shiny Regice should just be how normal Regice looks.

first one, as ugly as it is, will still have fans. Second one is just utterly pointless

easily barely changes because then you don't even have a shiny, just a star animation

Barely noticeable by far. Seriously, GF, did you even try this Gen?

barely changes. There's always gonna be people out there that love "objectively bad" shinies (I LOVE SHINY DRAGONITE ;W;), but there's never gonna be a person that unironically loves shinies that change frick-all.

barely changing, what's even the point. and disgusting colors is merely subjective

and if I subjectively find something ugly I'm not going to care if you don't find it shit. That doesn't change me finding it shit

Ugly colors are better than almost no colors
