>my israeli religion is...le GOOD!
My israeli religion is le literally le cornerstone upon which le western civilization was le built, and therefore all modern civilization including le ebin nihon
and you will still always be a shit skinned deracinated abomination
Did the israelites finance the Athenians when they defeated the Persians to save Western civilization in 490 BC
>muh west
Yikes
After adopting Christianity Rome and Byzantine constantly argued about some dumb shit like whether Jesus is supposed to be treated as human or as a divine spirit, causing a rift in the empire, which weakened it as a whole and allowed Barbarians to more easily raid and integrate into their territories, resulting in the collapse of the Roman empire.
They should've just stuck to worshiping their badass Olympian Gods.
don't mutts circumcise their sons? can't get worse than that
>satan and lucifer being the same thing
>hello my children, i am god and i gave you free will
>no, not that kind of free will. youre free to do as i command
>lucifer? he is evil because he rebelled
>he isn't a lawchad
might as well be a Black person.
Glad to say I never played a jrpg in my life. How can these mortal characters in these games even kill a god? If said god created their world they would have chance. So I’m guessing their world has multiple gods like Greek/Egypt mythology. Even then it doesn’t make sense
>How can these mortal characters in these games even kill a god?
You get help from other Gods like Odin and Vishnu shit like that. But yeah the player character also becomes insanely powerful.
What an intoxicating innocence
well imagine a tiny spider. that spider is at you complete mercy and you could squash it like a bug it is on a whim. but you dont because of your hubris. you let the spider be because its existence is inconsequential. turns out the spider was venomous and it bit you the moment you werent looking. and you fall over, pass away and die. that is how mortals kill a god.
>. How can these mortal characters in these games even kill a god?
4A actually does answer this in a way that makes a lot of sense if you think about it.
They use iron chariots.
oh nonononono
are smt games worth playing I've been wanting to try nocturne but idk
If you like extremely dated, tedious, and boring grindfests then sure they are worth playing
>grinding in SMT
failure as a human
failure as a human
I'd love to understand how slowly you play these games to be able to walk into a new area and immediately be high enough level to tame every demon you encounter.
That's a weird standard to set. Even if you are outleveled, you can absolutely handle random enemies if you've been fusing your demons. Hell, there were times in IV where I beat enemies who had higher levels than I did and I came back later to recruit them for fusions. I've never been in a situation where my only choices were to recruit every new demon I met or get fricked.
If I'm not already high enough to tame them then I kill them and look around for treasures. I'll have levelled up enough before leaving
>grinding in SMT
Mandatory in hard mode to afford all the magatamas because they're triple the fricking price, tell me how do you afford these without grinding.
The treasure road Kalpa minigame. I mean, I guess you're grinding a minigame, but playing a 2-minute minigame for 40k macca is certainly a pretty short grind.
If you're a zoomBlack person like
then don't bother and stick to fortshite
Otherwise it's a pretty good game, the press turn system is one of the best battle systems in any turn-based JRPG and Nocturne has great atmosphere and music.
Also lmao at having to grind in Nocturne, if anything fights are too frequent.
you might as well try them out. If you don't want to buy the nocturne rerelease you can always emulate the original PS2 game pretty easily. Strange Journey is also a good one, again very easy to emulate the DS. the persona games are all on gamepass too if you want something lighter.
Strange Journey is only worth emulating on the 3DS
I have played pretty much every SMT game, and I would recommend 4, Strange Journey Redux, or Survivor Overclocked for your first one.
Aside from Survivor which is mostly a different genre this is a bad idea, every SMT game has lots of QoL improvements over previous ones, so going back to older ones will be harder if you're already on the fence about the series. If you don't like the idea of retro first-person dungeon crawling (the origin of the series) then Nocturne should absolutely be your first entry, or potentially Digital Devil Saga.
I don't think the main games are different enough from each other that it is worth it to play everything.
Though if you do want 3D, yeah, start with 3, but the best games in the series are first-person dungeon crawlers.
I dropped Nocturne when I went to a dungeon where half of the enemies spammed a 10% instant kill dark move that immediately caused a game over if it landed on the main character. Nothing to do with my skill or planning, just a chance of instant game over. The only way to avoid it was to get and grind a certain magatama until you got a dark resist skill near the end of it's progression, permenantly clogging up my skill slot until you no longer needed it. Oh and better pray you didn't already unlock and pass over this niche resistance skill, because the game doesn't give you any way to relearn old skills. It's a badly designed RNG-fest that requires an insane level of outside game knowledge to mitigate and not worth the time of anyone with even a shred of self respect.
My advice is to play Nocturne second. Any other game including Persona will ease you into it, and it's the defining game of the series.
there is actually a capital G god in the smt universe and yhvh isn't it, he's just another in a long line of larpers pretending to be the true creator
>and yhvh isn't it
gnostic fanfiction garbage you're going to h e double hockey sticks
yhvh is demiurge
>you are the demifiend
>the goal is to defeat the demiurge and remake the world
Pretty good use of gnostic lore to support the tone and story. Too bad the gameplay is so reliant on cheap rng with dark and light moves.
The reason fight with lucifer against god is so common in Japanese media is because they like underdog stories and they don't venerate Christianity so it has no special status. That's all there is to it. Lucifer is weaker so he's the hero.
>>Sata-, I mean, Lucifer
So you've never read the bible, huh?
Jesus was real. He was a good man who did good deeds, which is why he had followers, but he was also delusional and called himself God's son. God is not real, nor is Satan.
Simple as.
This is probably true, but ultimately the majority of his religion's teachings had a positive influence on western civilization, it was only when we started turning away from it en masse and replacing it with corporations and an intrusive government that things started going downhill.
Jesus was probably an amalgam of every halfway notable proselytizer gradually having their individual followings coalesce into one for the sake of local power
yeah its kind of a trite overused plot but id rather play 1000 shitty 'god=evil' jrpgs than have to deal with any more neotrad christgay larplords on my nepalese yak-herding discussion board
>god: Live your life by MY arbitrary rules or suffer eternal damnation!
>lucifer: Hey that guy sucks, want to kill him?
I dunno, I know which one I'm following.
It’s a change of management, dumbass, and you’ll be killed for le survival of le fittest, which doesn’t apply to a chubby loser like yourself.
>Lucifer: You should do everything I tell you even though I tell others to think independently. Why? Just take my word for it.
Fixed
>I dunno, I know
moron
We'll sacrifice the son of Heaven!
Man's greatest glimpse of fire red!
Oh, how they're lost in their prayers for our greatest god!
Let me sleep, please! I am a man, half-human!
I am tired as heart and person weaken!
On the name of God! I will not crack!
Can you hear them?
God! I will not crack!
Can you hear them?
>>Sata-, I mean, Lucifer
you don't play SMT
Man SMT2 has such a banger soundtrack. It's one of my least favourites, so I decided to give it another go and man it scratches something. I miss the sort of weird sci-fi myth feeling of the games. Like even Strange Journey feels like japanese Babylon 5 at times.
