That doesn't change the fact the characters are still responsible for the entire thing even happening and still decided to move forward with their plan so it doesn't change anything about the main cast or their motivations. The only thing it changes is the fact that Shinra in the remake, feel like an actual threat and also builds up the plat falling incident better because it already hints at the fact President Shinra is willing to kill innocent people to achieve his goals. It makes the story flow more organically from Shinra blowing up the reactor to blowing up an entire plate. There is nothing negative about this minor change in the story. It only enhances the narrative.

But yeah, DLC aside, base game is still the same base game with minor shit added plus a new super boss (Weiss).

Remake would've been pretty cool if it was made by literally anyone but Nomura
I too, wonder why they let Nomura make it all by himself. Square Enix really are israelites. Why didn't they hire a full team of 200 people, including multiple co-directors and story writers to make the game alongside him. Can't believe on guy made the game all by himself.
