It seem like a tricky technology cause some can do it well and some just fail spectacularly.
Oh, and there is also the case of moronic devs making the MC uglier on purpose - see the comparison between Aloy in Horizon1 and 2.
Didn't the dev say they made her look more manly because he didn't believe the actress on the left could do all the shit that happens in-game? I remember thinking how sexist that sounded while trying to say that as if it was some sort of positive thing.
Also I agree, the technology is shit. I'd rather have custom made models with a models face on top, with handmade animation, instead of just using mocap footage.
Like when Jill in RE3 is grabbed the actress should be looked horrified but instead she just looks like she's thinking if she left the stove on. Or Death Stranding which you can practically see the actor in an empty room just pretending instead of believing the character is actually a part of that world.
Yes please, god almighty its starting to reach that uncanny valley that makes video games uncomfortable to play
Devs love white genocide
Not jap devs
take your meds, schizo. Check under your beds for israelites too 🙂
Jill, Ada and Leon were good, Claire was crap.
Claire wasn't too bad, at least not as bad as Trish.
Handmade faces have already peaked, they're not gonna get more advanced. Facial scanning is just gonna keep getting better and better.
Compare RE8 to RE7's faces and see how much the tech has improved in 4 years.
I think Capcom nailed them with Village
not if its done properly
very subtle difference but it's clear that left is israelite and right is nordic master race
well good thing right is the real thing
I don't give a shit what w*stoid devs do since I don't consoom anglojudaic garbage.

Arguably, the whole reason why Western games have a reputation for having weird, ugly potato faces is because of the over-reliance on facial capture.
why didn't they just find an uglier model if she was too pretty to portray a "strong woman"? they look nothing alike.
