>Paying for cuckshit
You'll need more games than that if you want to make a pentagon of ntrkino
You could add these games as well if you wanted a more general category, otherwise it's only a triangle of 90's stuff unfortunately.
>otherwise it's only a triangle
Those don't look 90s, are you sure?
They aren't but it would at least make a pentagon.
True. But if he's removing the "90s" thing from the title, there are a lot better games to fit into an all-time unholy pentagon of NTR than these three.
Do tell.
I wouldn't know, it's a big genre among degenerates. Having played FE4 I'm willing to bet large sums of money that there are countless games out there with a better and bigger representation of NTR in the story or even gameplay than the ones anon is sperging about.
>paying for any game
what causes autism powerful enough to want to become a "recognized" poster on Ganker
>some girl i know has sex
NOOOO HOW WILL I EVER RECOVER FROM THIS oh wait who fricking cares dude
Actually, in Bahamut Lagoon case, it is unironically the most evil and straight example of NTR ever. Hell, it may even set the basics for the modern standard NTR plot.
Live a Live
>The girl I was set to marry, who I was in love with and who loved me, is tricked by my friend who then turns everyone in the Kingdom against me
>Cucking me directly, ruining my life and ruining everything I've ever believed in or wanted
Fire Emblem 6
>My wife is stolen away, mind controlled and fricked by the guy who then kills me
>She has two children with him, as opposed to birthing (not raising) one with me, spends years fricking him and raising his kids even after he murders me infront of her
Bahamut Lagoon
>Literally 2/3rds of the entire game is setup for the NTR twist where my love interest (that I was specifically saving yourself for) marries another guy in the chapel she promised to marry me in
>"Comedic" scenes where I hear them fricking
>She gets knocked up with his kid
>No love interest for me
Yeah, they're totally not NTR! Good call dude!
>Fire Emblem 6
Meant to say 4
Again, who cares? Characters experience hardships and suffer, that just means something interesting is happening in the story.
Not everyone is obsessed with self-inserting into every character, and then shits themselves when a particular type of suffering happens to them.
>Anon hasn't played Bahamut Lagoon and still feels compelled to talk about it
It's an old-school silent protagonist JRPG where you input your character's name and your "waifu"'s name. You are quite literally expected to name the characters after yourself and the girl at school you like
So what I said applies only to 2/3 of the games you're spamming about, including the one this thread is meant to discuss?
Just set those goalposts down right over, yeah, just over there! Great!
>Story is cuckshit
Okay, I won't read it
>Movie is cuckshit
I'll skip it then
>Game is cuckshit
NO! YOU HAVE TO STILL BUY IT! YOU CAN'T NOT WANT TO SUPPORT WRITERS PUTTING A SHIT TIER FETISH IN GAMES!
You can't buy any of those games anymore anyways.
But I agree, you shouldn't waste time consuming media that triggers your autism and makes the experience unenjoyable. But what I don't get is you feel the need to waste your time obsessing over them on Ganker instead.
You are not faced with a binary option between consuming NTR and crusading against NTR.
>There's a new NTR game coming out that's being advertised
>But it's bad to talk about the NTR and warn people about paying for cuckshit
Was it autism?
I'm trying to help you, anon.
>NTR game
Do you honestly believe the game is just 10 different chapters of some guy fricking your wife
>No love interest for me
Wrong, there is always Sendak.
LaL isn't NTR. Don't know about the FE game.
>>The girl I was set to marry, who I was in love with and who loved me, is tricked by my friend who then turns everyone in the Kingdom against me
This shit is not NTR though. It's more like a tragedy where a guy got fricked so hard by fate that he becomes evil and the main villain. People comparing LAL to Bahamut Lagoon or NTRhero are fricking insane, how do people get psyopped this badly?
>fricked so hard by fate
Fate had nothing to do with it.
His best friend betrayed him and controlled things and everyone just went along with it in an outright laughable NTRPG method. Nobody questions anything, nobody looks into anything, everyone instantly falls for everything the best friend says and does, even though his plan is just offhand juvenile shit. It's got exactly the same energy as "I took a photo of you kissing your boyfriend so frick me or I'll spread it online!"
I mean the guy got tricked to killing the king and the sage helped him escape, even told him to have hope even if only one person believes in him before dying. I don't think people "went along with it", only the princess did because she was naive and a fricking moron in general.
>people went along with it
he faked his own death in a specific way (since they thought the place was fricking collapsing); by the time people realized something was up, it was too late
>Nobody questions anything, nobody looks into anything, everyone instantly falls for everything the best friend says and does
This is going to be annoying with the spoiler tags, but just saying this is missing the context necessary.
gets "crushed"
Oersted tries the door but it's locked shut and won't budge. They think everything is falling apart, there's no time to waste after his supposed death scream.
Nobody BUT Oersted saw the Demon King in the castle. The first person to come in just sees a dead king and Oersted over him with a bloody sword. A knight, in a state of disbelief, makes the (ill-informed) connection between this death and the deaths of his allies, and everybody and seeing him like this believes him.
A mixture between dumb b***h who didn't know any better and genuinely scared girl who was trapped on a mountain and the only person who she'd seen was Straybow. Not an excuse for what she did, but it is an explanation.
The guards literally come into the room to see you standing over the still warm body of the king with your sword covered in his blood.
I think most people would assume the obvious.
maybe in the actual middle ages, but in LAL's world, Magic is real, the kingdom has been under the threat of a gargoyle looking motherfricker and his army of demons based on fears.
do you really think things like illusion magic wouldnt be a possibility for people in that world?
I doubt it, it took SEVERAL months for my back water Walmart to get smtv. Just use Amazon or your preferred online retailer. Maybe you could have it shipped to your store?
if you're gonna buy something on day one just pre-order it
Rate the final trailer
I think is pretty cool how they spoiler almost everything to newbies but keep hiding THAT with extreme precaution.
it's funny, because if you know the game and have been paying attention, they actually have shown the final boss for like a second including the attack that most emulators have problem with in the original
Yeah, but they haven't show who is the final boss.
Yes, the thing here is that theres no context.
All the newbies know is that theres these 8 stories and at some point the heroes from those stories will meet and fight together against a demon lord dude that can shoot demonic woman specters at you.
For them, that can mean anything really, and as long as they dont know beforehand why this crap is happening, then theres absolutely no issue here.
How do you think newbies will react to the main twist?
Cant say i know, but its gonna be interesting as hell to see twitter crying like pussies.
Why would they cry?
Twitter would explode for a bit with discussion, but then quite down as outrage farmers move onto XB3.
Cube's chapter gets turned into an Among Us joke.
>Megalovania? wow they ripped off Undertale!
Threads about him doing nothing wrong
Well, yeah! He unequivocally did nothing wrong, period. He had absolutely every right to become the demon king and obliterate the kingdom of Lucretia in revenge for the buttholes who wronged him (basically everyone except for some random kid).
His only crime was to spread his evil to the other stories through his incarnations. But you know... Hatred is not well know for let people see things properly...
Here is all the music you can heard in the demo.
Good lord, I can't wait for the OST of this game to be ripped. It's going to be hard to hold myself back from listening to it online before playing the game, but I need to hear Armageddon, Pure Odio, and Live For Live fresh. That is a must.
People still don't order games online?
>want to play live a live
>but prefer to play it on Xbox
Octopath got ported, what are the chances
Pretty reasonable. Triangle Strategy will probably come first though
Oh I want to play that one too. Guess I’ll just wait and be patient. It’s hard to decide if I should pay money to support development of stuff I want to play, or withhold the money until it gets released on the platform of my choice.
>Oh I want to play that one too.
Soft anti-recommendation.
I didn't hate it, but it's a definite 7/10. It's actually the game that finalised my conclusion about SRPGs, that faction based is better than speed based. It's the difference between the game feeling reactive and the game being almost entirely your enemies turn (because they've got 2-3x more units than you) and your units feeling like deadweight punching bags aside from a few specific ones with a minor counter ability baked into their class.
I used to love those kind'a games, FFTA was a longtime favourite as a kid, and I'd always thought the Speed system meant more depth and more ways to balance the game, given how you can give it specific interactions with skills and abilities. But after playing through more Fire Emblem games and especially after playing Banner of Maid, I really had to push myself through playing Triangle Strategy with just how long and boring it is to wait through enemy turns watching an endless parade of units beating on your units until it's finally your turn again.
Adding onto that's just a host of baffling gameplay decisions. You've probably heard that they've abstracted levels out so there's "no need to grind!" but the reality is that now levels are entirely pointless and do nothing EXCEPT hold you back- so rather than there being no need to grind, you need to grind *every* map. Every time you've got a new map, you've got two options
>Go play the next one, lose but get stronger while losing and win the second time
>Go play the skirmish maps and grind out a level or so across your main team
It's utterly obnoxious, you spend the entire game at or beneath the power curve, it's impossible to get ahead of it, so it's impossible to ever deal with the enemies being massive HP sponges without just chipping away at them turn after turn.
>faction based is better than speed based
what
Faction based: Fire Emblem or Banner of Maid style turns
Speed based: Stella Glow, Triangle Strategy, or Final Fantasy Tactics style turns
ah so you mean shit where all of your units move, then all of enemy's units, and then third group if it exists on the map, before cycling back to you.
>NTR game
bitch, it happens in like one chapter.
in another chapter you fricking get a hot girl and in the epilogue you frick her and make babies
But it did still happened and the guy got cucked so hard he caused the extinction of an entire timeline.
You're being obtuse if you really think he ended the world just because of Alicia. She was easily the final straw that broke the camel's back, but quite literally everything from the moment Hash passed away and Straybow getting crushed was about breaking him down and ruining his life. She was just the cherry on top of it all.
I get where you are going and yeah, NTR is not a good 'genre'. But what you said about Alicia not being the prime catalyst and just 'the cherry on top' is kinda debatable.
As it stands, Oersted was already a broken man, specially after Straybow/Streibough's reveal. He just wanted for something, ANYTHING to be recognizing of his efforts. And then, here comes alicia, spewing all that vitriol and capping it off with her suicide. The last grasp of hope, gone...
If she wasnt a moron like she was, Oersted could have been saved. This is why i believe she was more than just the cherry on top. Prolly im wrong, but thats what i think.
I like how Megalomania sounds in the remake
I can't wait to see how they handle the music for the Armageddon ending
>tfw you can beat the boss in the demo and there are two way to cheese it either by grinding and abusing petrification on deepest dark, which most bosse aren't immune to, or abuse the massive range on Firefall and poke him to death
Just buy it digitally.
It will leak before then. So yes. Day1 is possible if you aren't a filthy pre-order gay.
>can wait 20 years for a remake
>cant wait a few more days
OP have.I never heard of this game until Nintendo announced its remake.
Maybe you should learn who makes video games and stop looking at ads. Maybe also learn english.
>buying physical
lol
>buying switch games at all
lmao
Emulator bros, life is good.
i really want to get this game but i'm worried it's going to be too short
Ironically being "short" is perfect, newbies can't stand long RPGs so a "short" RPG will attract newbies.
The one that wrote Bahamut Lagoon when to make the infamous FFXIII trilogy.
Which inheritor will you choose?
you guys think it'll be playable day 1 on the emulators
Triangle Strategy was day1 on Ryujinx so yeah probably.
yea but it just won't be the same
>a fricking leaf
Can someone sell me on Live A Live?
Isn't it just a remake of an SNES era RPG? Every single SNES JRPG feels dated as frick if you try to play it today and there isn't enough systems when compared to modern RPG's.
Is this game doing something new or is it just a 30 year old game with a new coat of paint?
>Every single SNES JRPG feels dated as frick
Bait
>Every single SNES JRPG feels dated as frick if you try to play it today and there isn't enough systems when compared to modern RPG's.
>and there isn't enough systems when compared to modern RPG's.
Fricking bloat
Sorry but just leveling up and buying the new best gear in every town isn't a very satisfying progression system when compared to modern RPG's.
