I found a copy for around $10 a few years back and gave it to my brother as a Christmas gift because he's a huge Metal Gear fan and lost his cartridge as a kid. Told myself I'd find another one to keep for me, and then saw how much it was actually going for. Emulation it is.

Do the HD releases on ps3 emulate better than the original PS2 versions?
If you plan on using a Dualshock 3, use PCSX2 because it supports pressure sensitive buttons. Otherwise emulate the PS3 version if your computer can handle it. Peace walker is still better on PPSSPP because you can play with friends online using Adhoc emulation.
I played this game for the first time only recently on my modded 3DS. I really liked it. It's weird how in-step with Metal Gear Solid it feels, and with the alternate history in the game, it's almost like...a "true" sequel to Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake. It's very neat.
