Its the story of Final Fantasy 1 its supposed to be generic and cliche RPG about knights, wizards, pirates, elves, dwarves, etc
I beat FF1 recently its wholesome of what it is but in Jack's game things will take way longer, here i was able to speed the cringe up the feeling this game leaves you is similar to Dragon Quest its like One Piece shonen anime you go around town to town figuring out problems and helping the people then when you do the people start to talk about how you saved them which is kinda kino for its time. In Jacks game you wont get this lol but you will get the starting quests of FF1, it starts similar and you meet many FF1 npcs like the dark elf, pirate, princess, king, etc. the princess being by far the most cringe and useless.

PC bros, has the performance been improved since release? I used to ran like absolute shit for me.
It ran fine for me even on release with a 3080 Ti.
I've got a 3070 and everytime I did a finisher the fps sank to like 10 or so.
It did get quite a few updates and i was able to run it somewhat stable on a 1060. Ofcourse if I end up nuking a room with ultima fps drops. The slowdown just makes more kino ok.
The end turns the kino up by 1000%.

Quick tip, don't worry about those "builds" you see online because a lot of them are not relevant until hundreds of hours into the post game.
Imo, the best secondary class to run early up game to Bahamut difficulty are void knight and samurai because their class action give you a shit load of mp and having good mp source is king, especially in the first 100 hours because you don't have gears/passive that grant you a lot of mp easily. Void knight straight up let you "cheat" half of the boss fight. A lot of class are simply too costly mp wise to run until late game. However, you should try out all of the class and weapons anyway to see what you really like.
The fever dream like insanity of the story and the cutscenes is the only saving grace of the game.
You should just watch the cutscenes and dialogue, they are quite short anyway. Game has a pretty good ending and then you get the dlc ending which is extra kino on top.
Story is the only good thing about this mediocre game, its not even a good story, but its something worth watching
