I mean it is a 3ds game after all. I wish we would ever got a game where yoshida characters are actually modeled. I guess the nier games are the only ones and maybe ff12
Now that even handhelds have a substantial amount of power, you don't know how bad I've been hoping for a big budget production that really brings his art to life. (Same with Satoshi Urushihara)

>someone saying they don't like something
But that's not what they said. They said it "ruined" the game for them, which implies that they tried to or perhaps even did like the game to some extent, and maybe even enjoyed most or ALL of the other aspects, but the chibi character models were just such a constant assault on their delicate sensibilities that it affected the entire experience for the worse.
It also begs the question; if you are so thoroughly adverse to a such a superficial aspect of the game as the style of the character models, to the point that it can eclipse the appeal of the story or the gameplay itself... why would you even bother playing it?
Anon you're the one who seems totally assblasted that someone didn't like the mostly-ugly chibi models in Bravely Default. >were just such a constant assault on their delicate sensibilities that it affected the entire experience for the worse
If there are graphics you find unpleasant and those graphics are onscreen almost all of the time, then yes it can affect the entire experience for the worse. Meanwhile those living in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.
The fact that you can't understand the intrinsic difference between someone saying that they "don't like" chibi, and that it "ruined the game" for them tells me you're either a mouthbreather or an ESL shitter.
There are two possible scenarios here; that anon was either seething so hard over character models that it invalidated the merits of the gameplay, exploration, customization, character development, and overall story (i.e. he was fragile), or he bought the game without researching it despite the fact that he's apparently adverse to one of the most prevalent stylization choices in the history of JRPGs (i.e. he was an idiot). Take your pick.

I understand the difference.
The difference is not sufficient for you to lose your mind about it. Any mild annoyance I felt toward his phrasing has been completely overwhelmed by annoyance at you.

why did he play the game at all then?
remakes usually suck
quads of fricking truth
Isn't it like 10y old
The art style is great in the regular game. I can't see a remake doing anything besides just plopping it on another system.
You don't have to ask permission to eat shit. have a nice day.
the chibi shit ruined this game for me, what a shame

DOA2 was on the 3DS. it had 3D bouncing boobs!
What's it like to be such a fragile, whiny, bastard? Holy shit.
>thinks that someone saying they don't like something makes them a fragile whiny bastard
Anon, are you ok? Do you need a hug?

Thanks for the affection, anon. I did make a pretty good point, didn't I?

chibi shit sucks and you're a manchild weeb homosexual
Improving graphics has always killed jrpgs. That's why you were playing them on handheld to begin with, they'd been abandoned on console.
Bravely Second is way better, but it's worth getting through the first one for the story/character context.
