Should the PlayStation buttons be the default button format for every console? It's the most recognizable. What the frick is XYAB anyway, most people couldn't even tell you where those buttons are on a Xbox or Switch, they'd likely mix them up, but everyone fricking knows where the triangle or cicle button are.

why the frick did sony of america forced this?
It's a israeli thing
X marks the spot, motherfricker.
>america
That's why.
The bottom button just makes more sense for confirm, the shape or letter have no relevance.
The right button makes sense. Right is a homonym for right which means correct.
Frick every other language.
they both make sense tbh. what doesn't make sense is why they had to swap them in the west.
What is someone is left handed? We're talking about a controller for a video game, it's not that serious.
No one cares about devil spawn
Left is not a homonym for right esl.
>homonym
Sounds fricking gay.

no
You just used to it, moron, it's the most unintuitive bullshit ever. It's fricking horrible to actually spell and pronounce "square", "triangle" etc rather than just A, B, X and Y. If there should be the default button format - it has to be the Nintendo's one, as they first established it while Microsoft just stole it and slightly alternated. Stop buying those crippled PCs from Sony and get yourself a proper one.
I use Dualshock on my PC because I like it's layout most :3
get your finger gymnastics out of here
Me too, but I like the symmetrical sticks and gyro, not the button names. I just don't care about them, because most games still only support X-input so I memorized the buttons as ABXY.
When you need to learn the sequence, there is a difference between memorizing Y, B, Y, B and TriAnGle, CirCle, TriAnGle, CirCle.
get a load of this moron, he can't pronounce "square"
xbox's button layout is identical to the dreamcast's. the controller is basically a DC controller with an extra stick.
sega megadrive controller had ABC XYZ buttons which makes sense.
>triangle
>square
>circle
<x
Ive used both layouts and the face buttons on xbox and playstation are the same in terms of ease of remembering. However, I always get RT and RB mixed up. R1 and R2 is better named. And dont forget the hamburger and two slices of cheese buttons. A simple Start and Select button is infinitely better.
>And dont forget the hamburger and two slices of cheese buttons.
Imagine being at computers.
Probably, alternatively you could pick the Sega 6-button layout, it has A, B, C in lower row next to each other and X, Y, Z in the upper row. It's much more intuitive than the diamond shaped A, B, X, Y
Though I think colors and shapes will always be better than letters
>pizza box
>pizza slice
>pizza
>no pizza
X could be 4 slices
x is obviously breadsticks
Alot of pc games already support both DualShock4 and dualsense controllers, and for those that don't usually someone mods it in.
>x
It's pronounced "times", you homosexuals
No. Because the fact that it's unique shapes won't mean shit anymore
No. Get dunked on, homosexual snoy. Sega won and you need to accept it.
>Sega won
Would be pretty cool
Xbox controller has always been better
