no
i would have used EGS if it wasn't worse than the alternative
there are like 5 and none of them are going anywhere
What was the original comic?
>NOOOOOOOOOOO IT DOSEN'T MATTER THAT I SPEND 1K EVERY YEAR ON THE NEWEST IPHONE AND REFUSE TO BUY ANDROID YOU FRICKING CHUD!
kek
The Apple example is actually dead-on correct though. The seatbelt panel is just dumb. The infamous panel is too broad to just simplify like that. Some aspects of living in governed and (somewhat) civilized world requires certain concessions. Some things could change for the better, but do you really believe that people would donate their money freely if taxes were entirely deleted? lol
it is, the writer is just trying and failing to defend her iphone purchase
>her
ah, it all falls into place
>The Apple example is actually dead-on correct though.
No, it isn't, because every single modern phone and phone accessory was made with third-world wageslave labor. The alternative would be to not use any phone or somehow build your own functioning phone from components, which themselves were almost certainly made in a dirty Chinese factory.
It does for the specific argument against Apple. But I get that I am splitting hairs at this point, because I know what you mean. I would argue a better one would be railing on people who "upgrade" every year. You annual graphics cardgays aren't exempt either lmao
That's what I'm saying. But, if you're using a webcomic to try and make in-depth arguments, you're already failing at your aim. There's good reason why the "I AM SILLY" joke gets around.
>The seatbelt panel is just dumb
Not true, see:
The seatbelt one is even stupider with that context. The panel suggests it is the purchaser of the vehicle that demanded seatbelts in their cars from the manufacturer. Which is the exact opposite of what happened. The manufacturer gave people seatbelts and they didn't wear them until they were forced to by law.
What awful analogies and an awful comic.
Yet you participated in this thread. Curious.
This was so stupid that it actually made me laugh.
Seatbelts were actually wildly unpopular to the public for decades after their standardization. The modern seatbelt was invented, and after short while they were standard in just about every new car. People actually cut seatbelts out of their cars they hated them so much. It wasn't until the 80s that you saw most people wearing them, and that was because they were forced to via a (then) unpopular law.
there are many and they all suck
there are
it's not steam's fault the vidya distribution industry is the world's longest 'Luigi wins by doing nothing' video
I use GoG.
There should be many so people have a variety of choices and competition remains competitive, but I'm not going to use more than one store because I dont want my library separated across different layers of DRM. I'm just not gonna do it!
There should be none.
The distribution of video games should be solely left to my discretion.
Why would I pay for something that has DRM?
There are already, the others are simply shit at competition
There should be 0 online stores
You should have to buy a boxed USB and if there are expansions you also buy a boxed USB.
All patches are to be downloaded from websites that look like they are 30 years old
Epic Games Store exists.
GOG exists.
Battle.net exists.
Ubisoft Connect exists.
EA Play exists.
Microsoft/Xbox store exists.
ideally mandatory launcher apps should be abolished altogether but otherwise yes there should be competition in that space
There already is
>implying GOG doesn't exist
